Welcome to the neighborhood, Bombobar!! Great job on the cheeseburger! The fries are unbelievable with that sea salt! And the bread could be the best part of each of these treats. Breakfast Sandwich would have been enough for a meal, but I couldnt resist the Avocado Toast. Great coffee and a hip spot for morning commuters or catching up with friends.

Loved it! Small but cozy neighborhood spot at a great location. Of course I went for bombolonis and they did not disappoint. You can eat inside or order to go. I like that they are open late. I will be back soon!

If you dont know how to BOMBO. You better learn! Theyre great! A must try! Trust me?

Loved BomboBar! The bombolinis were warm and fresh. Having the squeeze bottle fillings was super fun for both kids and adults. Not very many options for coffee. Pretty basic but my hazelnut latte was really good. The gelato looked amazing. We hope to go back and try more! Loved the order touch screen for easy payments and selecting our options. Staff was very friendly and quick.

It wasnt all the hype I was told, but Id give it another shot before I say anything. The sandwich was alright, and the pizza was a bit hard to eat, like its been out awhile. (This was before the shutdown).

The whole concept is brilliant! Who doesnt love hot chocolate and the ones at BomboBar are Hot Chocolate 3 to 3rd power! The burger was juicy and flavorful, with the saltiness of the parmesan fries made the meal come full circle! And Adults can get Adult beverages to the 3red power also. Smores will never be the same, you gotta try the Smores Bomboloni!

It’s a cool concept. They have vodka on tap. Water is self serve. The tables are kind of gross though after everyone has sugar and napkins everywhere. I like the tablet used for ordering and they have photos for some. But it sucks when there’s a line and noobs in front taking forever. There were some photos not included. For example, I didn’t know my birthday cake bombolini didn’t come with a little dispenser. 😔 but the people working there were helpful. It’s cozy in here and it does take some time for them once the order is put in. Also the dispenser definitely has more than enough sauce inside. Salted caramel was good but it just tasted like caramel. They were pretty fluffy but not as fluffy as Firecake donuts, still tasty and it comes warm.

Great selection that makes Bombobar a good option on Wells Street any time of day. Pastries and Gelato are made fresh onsite.You can’t go wrong with the avocado toast or the breakfast sandwich.

I came in for a quick bite while exploring Old Town one night. I dont know what it was, but something about the restaurant just caught my eye. I came in about 10 pm or so, and was amazed at how good, fresh, and quick the service was! I had the Fried chicken sandwich and while it was hot, it was very good! My only regret was that I didnt spend more time there (because I was in a hurry). Next time Im in Chicago Im definitely going to visit again!

The staff are highly knowledgeable and very skilled at their craft. Superb food menu and excellent attention to detail and customer service. I heartily recommend!

Came here for the fried chicken sandwich. I’d say that’s a 2/5 basically a frozen fried chicken cutlet you’d find at a grocery store on a good bun with pickles and sauce. Not how they look in the pictures. The ice cream however is very good 4/5 stars for that. The Irish guy we talked with behind the counter was also nice.

They have a monitor where you electronically check out what youll be eating and pick up your own drinks from the fridge. The flavours are fresh and tasty and the French fries are high on my list. They have great desert options too and lovely music and atmosphere overall.

They dont take cash and you order on a touch screen. Very easy to walk away from this place, as no one greets you when you walk in the door. The breakfast sandwich was tasty. The signature drinks appear over the top. I did not order one, but they are works of art.

Brought the kids with. They had (very elaborate) hot chocolate and two different kinds of donuts. I had an ice latte with a CBD shot. Coffee had good flavor, but hot chocolate and donuts were really special, donuts stupid-fresh and the hot chocolate was super rich - even without all the garnishes.

Ill preface by saying that I love this place especially the bombo donuts. Now onto the bad part. It really stinks to drive out of your way to get something you really like only to arrive on time and be told that you cannot have it because they close down everything early. If your hours state that youre open that means you should be able to show up on time and purchase what you want. I will still continue to go it just sucks knowing that I got let down when I was on time.

Omg.The donuts here are unreal.Indulged in some original style and salted caramel donuts. It was cool that the flavour sauce comes in little shot tubes so you can drizzle at your leisure.Would highly recommend checking them out as a part of any trip to Chicago...maybe even multiple times!

Kurt went above and beyond & the dessert was amazing! Kurt even brought out a donut w/ a candle in it when he found out it was my birthday. We will definitely be going again!

From early on, I’ve always gravitated towards Sesame Street. As a child I always wanted to put a down payment on a nice cozy loft in the area. Sadly, upon entering adulthood I realized that Sesame Street was a fictitious place, and my whimsy vanished. But, I digress. I searched high and low for a Cookie Monster gelato, and to my great joy found it on these grounds. I don’t know if “blue” is a flavor, but oh my heavens was this blue flavored creation decadent. It took me back to Sunday mornings watching the Street with my parents, siblings, and thirteen dogs. Oh yes. You read that correctly. Thirteen muts under one roof. As you can imagine, mother turned to the drink quite often.

This place is so good. I had the chicken sandwich and it was one of the best Ive had. The chicken was nice and crispy, the aioli was tasty, the pickles were doing their thing, the bun was perfect. It was awesome. I also had a raspberry bomboloni. It was really really good and Im excited to try the other sweet options in the future. Fantastic new addition to Old Town!

It was more of a 3.5 than a 3, but I dont want to round up. Despite the fact that its the same franchise, the one in West Loop is a lot better. This one has a better ambiance and seating, but the bombolini werent as good as the ones in West Loop.

Burgers are awesome. To full for dessert so we took gelato home.

Always knew that the Bombos were incredible, but THEIR BURGER?!! Game changer on Wells Street. And serving late night + pizza! So excited to have this new spot in the neighborhood.

I had an amazing experience at Bombo Bar! I love the West Loop location, so I thought Id give their new location and try and it certainly lives up to the hype. My favorite item was the burger, which definitely gives Au Cheval a run for its money!!

My first visit was a four, the second visit was a two.This place focuses on being very photo friendly. While the food is good, its basically high-end fast food, and not worth the amount being spent. Additionally, on our second visit, I noticed my tray was caked with gunk and the glasses for water, wine and chocolate cocktails were filthy.The coolers are pretty sugar bombs, but their flavor comes mainly from chocolate syrup, and does not live up the admittedly great appearance. Also, both times, my order was incorrect.Finally, they push kiosks as the ordering method, but the UI is TERRIBLE. The options are confusing and dont guide the user through making choices.If you want an Instagram moment, youll get it—but the experience and food dont add up to a third visit for me.
