I heard a lot about Tahoora and was recommended by all the members who have visited Chicago. We went over the weekend and it was packed, stayed in line for 30 min to get sweets. Love their packing but i thought it was a bit costly but sweet were fresh and so yummy. Would love to try other Bakery stuff on next visit.
The only place I go to get my falooda. They do sweets right. Prices are a bit higher but quality is worth it!There samosa used to be .25cents when I started going there at there old location where pak sweets is now. Now they are 1.25. crazy how times how have changed. 20years going to tahoora. Still delivers quality and customer service.Crazy how such a hole in the wall, sticky floors, old uncle je type place gets turned in to what it is now. Truly Awesome!Keep it up!
If you like Pakistani/Indian breakfast then this is the place to be. Delicious sweet and savory treats. Prices are reasonable. Tahoora serve breakfast items, street food, sweets and drinks/shakes. We have been going there for the past 18 years.
Tahoma is the best. Tasty sweets and good prices....
HOME OF THE BEST DESI MITHAI😍they have a huge selection of sweets to chose from with each and every single one being the best!😍also love their mango shakes, I’m more of a fan of juices but not sure if they had that or not so I just got the shake but it was the BEST🤤they have a nice open seating area which is nice too! It’s impossible for me to go to Devon and not come here for their famous chai, always well cooked and fresh! They deserve a 5 star
No doubt, Very tasty products, love it. But, Customers should be given more ease to reach checkout, number of cash registers must be increased. Its a very very long waiting time in line. It says go online and order, but again, if you are just visiting and plan to get something to eat, its a very long waiting line, seems,Tahura management dont cares.
Clean place, food is good, but make sure you ask for napkins because most of the Indian and Pakistani place don’t believe in giving out napkins with to go food
Really Nice and Big Sweets & Snacks shop!Hands down the best Ras Malai we have ever tried anywhere. We make sure to stop at Tahoora and get some Ras Malai to go whenever we visit Chicago. Also It has the special Poori, Chole, Halwa Thali on Saturdays which is delicious. The customer service can be improved as the staff usually have an attitude when taking an order especially the guys at the sweets section. They never smile for some reason.
A must stop if you are in Chicago. Great variety of authentic indian sweets with a great taste.Awesome Desi tea and pista lassie is a great new addition.
This place was very yummy and great prices. We had breakfast sandwiches and they was large, hot and had great taste. The coffee tasted good and the 2 donuts we had we fresh.
The QR code to scan menu or order stuff online to avoid queues was displayed on a large screen with rotating images.I was about to scan and then suddenly it disappeared. Had to wait for 5 mins for it to come back. Just print it and put it on the walls. Why put it on TV?Also very few sweets. Not many options.King’s sweets is better.
All the sweets and biscuits i bought is very bad experience.Bakery biscuit and kalakand really not expected that bad quality.Chum chum was so hard and taste no way.
Nice and tidy place when compared to the other shops and restaurants around. Visited this place after a family member suggested. Definitely a go to shop when you are around Devon.
False advertisement on halwa puri. Went in to get halwa puri on a Sunday and they said we don’t do halwa puri at all, ever! Waste of time.
Sweets are: 👍🏽 Try the diabetic options! Not many people know they have sugar free options.Bun Kabob: 👎🏽👎🏽 Their chutney to kabob ratio isn’t right. I have made multiple comments to them but they never correct it.Samosas: vegetable samosas are pretty gross but beef are okay.Puff Pastry: 👍🏽You can find better Falooda on DevonChai is supreme.Careful about ordering over the phone... they almost always confirm it but fail to fulfill it. They are pretty busy so it’s impossible to have accurate inventory.Halwa Puri isn’t the best but their puri is better than other places on Devon. The chickpeas salan can use some work.
I like the platform Tahoora.com has. The online order and the capability as well as flexibility to get it shipped anywhere in US or Canada. This makes it possible, that many times, it serves the purpose when we cannot attend the ceremony personally but our Mithai will get to the ceremony on time. I have been using Tahoora for more than ten years. I would like to post the pics of my latest order...just so that it becomes a sample for the next such order. It is so convenient.
Big, fancy and popular but definitely overrated. Lots of small but better places on the same strip. Lines longer than Golden Gate Bridge.
The food was pretty ordinary. And the inside is nowhere close to being as clean as in the pictures. Not quite satisfied.
One and only one Sweet shop in Illinois will never forget the taste and variety of Indian and pak sweets 🍭 🍬
We visited Tahoora in the summer of 2021. I had a lovely experience, everything was excellent. In fact it’s one of the best Pakistani bakeries/snack vendors i’ve had in the USA . I would come here any day instead of any other bakery. They really know how to make sweets, and unlike Indian bakeries this one has great flavor and taste instead of that patchy sugared down stuff you’d find in other places. Pakistanis really know how to make their sweets ! I hope they keep it authentically Pakistani for others to enjoy ! Only issue I had was there wasn’t enough sitting space. The pandemic is over and I really hope they open up for full capacity instead of the 1/5 of the place being open and everything else taped off. I don’t know if it’s the city of Chicago or just the owner being extra cautious. I hope they open up at least half capacity I think it’s really unattractive especially since most of the country is open now. One more thing, please add a little bit of decor, the walls are empty ! Some great Pakistani art or images would be good !
Tahoora sweets are excellent .......... but why 19th September 2021 shop was closed at 8:00pm ?
Went there for the first time after hearing a lot of good stuff about this place. I just bought some bakery biscuits and sweets! Really good! Will come back again to order more to take with me for family.
Had the Ajmeri Kalakand. It was so good that I had to make a second trip within a day.
Terrible food and service kulfi is tooooo sweet
The service is so slow but food is good the sweets are amazing and the staff is patient and friendly
A must visit bakery and sweet shop in Chicago, mithai, samosas, biscuits, and there items are made to perfection. Chai or falooda are off the hook too!
We loved the service and ordered three lbs of mixed sweets also got veggie and qeema samoosasAll tasted goodWe also order less sugar sweet, and that was also tasted good.
Ras Malai- highly recommended
The best thing about this place is the customer service. I really want to commend the owners and the staff for ensuring that the customers are satisfied. Their policy of allowing people to sample the sweets is a very big reason that they have grown so much and also they give respect to everyone without any prejudice.
This place has never failed to provide us with the best.
The savory food items here are very poor, lines are long and service seems a bit slow. The only thing this place has going for it is its name, and tea, which is okay (tea). Overall from all my times coming here, I would say this place is way overrated.
Not hygienic. No gloves when touching food when I went and no cleanliness.
Its a nice place for sweets and chat items..we visit here whenever we are at devon
Amazing variety of sweet food. Its always busy so if you are parking on the road side and expecting to make a quick run without paying for parking you might get into trouble.
The mango ice cream in falooda is out of this world.
Placed an order for custom sweets box to get shipped and I wanted to add a box to my order. The lady on the phone said she cannot add it, but she can cancel the order and then I can place it from there to get shipped. I went online to put the order in and it said it cannot be shipped. I called and she said yes, I forgot to tell you we stopped shipping due to Ramadan. She could have told me before she canceled the order! Rude customer service and terrible experience! I will be ordering from another store with better service.
This place has the best fast foods
Been going here forever, even as the prices have gone up and the portions have diminished, it is still the gold standard for my family and I. All the sweets are legit hand made and all of the fried snack usually very fresh. I cannot say enough good things about Tahoora, I hope everyone who goes there, goes with an open heart and more open importantly...open stomach!
The sweets are so delicious. I was blown away to try the sugar-free walnut barfi, so yummy. The fast food snacks are a bit pricey but tasty. They only have sauce packets that they give with the snacks before they had the self service pump. However, tahoora is a must go place when visiting devon.
Good selection of authentic indo pak desserts, appetizers, & snacks.
Service is really slow here. Bought three items and wish hadn’t bought those. Gulab Jaman had too much rose water, ladoo was falling apart into a million pieces and jalebi was exactly the same jalebi you could buy in any grocery store except it was a few bucks more expensive. Wasn’t worth it.
Decrnt place with variety of snacks.I was looking for a place to stop by for chai and samosa.I tried samosa chaat, it was good no complains in that area.Chai was okayish could have been much better, felt like it was over cooked. But all in all decent place worth a try. Oh yes if you are looking for some great sweets varierty you might want to stop by.
Was low on stock. Felt like employees had no desire to sell
Mithai is always yummy and fresh. Snacks are excellent as well.
Nice area to sit down for savory and sweet treats.Restroom not so clean.
Very good quality and taste but little pricey. Not available everywhere. Shipping charge is little high. But we need to see their continuous effort to make it available everywhere.
Meethai is great! Closest to Pakistani sweets in USA. I also tried their samosas and Pizza. Loved them both. I would definitely recommend this place for some causal snacks
They should stop making Gulab Jamuns !!!! WORST ONES EVER !!!Mithai is a happy thing, and yall are destroying everyones happiness by providing the worst form of mithai for sky high prices!!!!EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
I have always loved this place in the US. Good quality namak pare and jalebi. Kulfi is excellent
Great variety, and amazing taste. Prices are reasonable and staff is very friendly.
Best Mithai in town .
Being famous is one thing, being a customer oriented establishment is another. I have been going here for the past 5 to 6 years. But the service they provide is very rude, most associates will have an attitude with you as if they are doing you a favor. During my last visit to pick up a big online order they were on a mission it seems to not give me what I had actually paid for, since most of the boxes had the incorrect sweets in them and I was missing almost 8 boxes. The associate decided it was his right to get loud with me, when I corrected this. I understand you may be busy but insulting a customer who is infact correcting your mistake does not seem like a good practice.
I love this place so much
You cant come to Chicago city as a brown person and not visit Tahora. Amazing collection of authentic sweets, fast service and beautiful presentation. The barfis collection and jalebis are among the best. Love their chai and snacks too. The sweet taste can be a bit overwhelming at times but you cant beat their quality
Best indian sweets in Chicago .love thier samosas
As usual very tasty and fresh sweets.!
Does not update site as to real store hours. Went over to buy sweets and store was closed despite what was said by google and on their own website.
Sweets are amazing, Snack are ok, I usually go to get the sweets only
Nice variety of sweets and very clean.
One of my favorite place to go for sweets. They have a big selection always. The staff is great as well. I’ve been to several places for sweets but nothing beats their freshness. I usually eat a box of 4 in one day!
Sometimes the chai is amazing and sometimes not. sometimes the falooda is amazing and other times its all kulfi and zero falooda? anyways consistency js lacking BUT still good sweets. glad the sweets havent changed.
Worst place to go to ..worst samosas and rolls...worst dahi wada...worst sweets too much sugar .....just kaju katli and pista katli was little better ... and worst customer service...will never go again.
One of the best service ever and the best sweets ever I highly recommended to others to must try Habshi halwa
Excellent samosas, large space, good falooda.
Fresh, available. Good.
Nice and fresh ladoo
Lots to choose. Consistent flavor. Yes
I havent been there but I ordered online and the quality of sweets is just impeccable. FYI I ordered a variety of sweets, laddus, katlis, barfis and halwa
Worst customer service.Rude rude rude.RUDE
Great for sweets and biscuits.
Great place. The lines might be long due to the demand.
This is the best place for Indo Pak sweets and snacks I have found so far. I would recommend it 200%. We were passing by Chicago and wanted to try it and we were very pleased that we stopped by and grabbed some gulab jaman, chaat, paratha roll, veggie rolls and Faluda. The food is very delicious. To me, price is very low compared to the quality of quantity of food. Customer service is very good and people are respectful. It is a very busy place, so one may have to wait for 5-10 minutes or a little more to get his order. Will visit them again whenever I come to Chicago.
Tahoora has always maintained its quality standard as a Pakistani sweet and delicacy shop working Over the years serving Chicago and around. The weekend breakfast special and the traditional sweets from Pakistan is what it’s famous for.
Delicious samosas and chicken rolls.
Came here multiple times and the food and desserts are always amazing.
Such a tasty tea with delicious baghlava.
Delicious food and drinks! Well maintained and clean facility.
Very clean.... staff very courteous
Great store,Clean products
