I rate the customer service I received tonight a ZERO, they do not deserve stars. Google Maps indicated the Open time was 10:00 pm. I drove there and the sign on the door said 10:00 pm, the side walk-up window had the “Open” bright neon sign in the On position, the sign on the side walk-up window said Open until 11:00 pm. I arrived at 8:30 pm and the front door was locked, I go to the side window and knock, the worker gave me the “side eye” like she was busy and totally ignored me, I knocked two more times and the same. Her co-worker came near the window, I knocked, and she pretended she did not see me. Rude, lazy, inconsiderate

Went 09/25 around 7:15PM. While all three employees were wearing masks, only one (male) was wearing it correctly. Our cashier (female) wore hers below her nose and the other employee making the treats (female) had hers around her chin. If we’re expected to wear masks as customers per Chicago’s mandates, I expect employees to be required to PROPERLY wear them as well. When ordering, the cashier said “Don’t have that” so many times that I became confused as to whether DQ actually didn’t have the ingredients to make their listed menu items or the employee just didn’t know what their menu was. Either way, it was disappointing. The cashier couldn’t have been less interested in us or our orders. Her tone was rude and condescending. I understand that she’s high school or college aged but it would have been nice if she could have pretended to care about the job she’s being paid to do. This place is okay usually but it’s disappointing enough that I wouldn’t make a regular trip of it.

Tonight at around 7pm, tried to order a peanut butter crunch blizzard. Asked if they were familiar on how to make it. First the gentleman at the counter said yes. Then no. Then another young woman working there said something like “I’ve been working here for 8 years and you must be mistaken in a rude tone. We walked out without making a purchase. Very close to home but we won’t be back. No reason why they couldn’t help us instead of giving us attitude. We were the only ones in the place at the time.

I just walked away from this Dairy Queen it’s about 11:45. I stood at the walk-up order window waiting to order for 5-6 minutes. There was one worker inside. We made eye contact twice during this time. She apparently didn’t want to help me, which is okay, I get it. But at least tell me to go away so I don’t just keep standing there looking like dumb with my baby.

This is the best dairy Queen in the world. I was having a rough day yesterday and all I wanted was two Reeses m&m blizzards with fudge. I left a note on my Uber eats order and asked if the machines could be cleaned because I have a really bad gluten allergy that can put me into anaphylactic shock and send me to the emergency room. They cleaned the machines for me which was just so nice and then they left me a note confirming the cleaning. Whoever you are I appreciate you beyond belief you are great.

Went on 5/12. The girl who works there never unlocked the doors despite seeing us standing there and that it was supposed to be opened 10 mins prior. We only were able to get in bc a guy who worked there came at 1140 and we followed him inside. The girl at the counter has a horrible attitude. No hello, no apology for running late. She also was wearing big fuzzy flippers with no socks which does not seem sanitary at all.

Went up during COVID in attempts to help local workers / businesses with my family in the car. I assumed this is a franchise location and wanted to support local. The counter girl offered a large attitude after i polite greeted her. Very apparent she did not want to be there let alone take my order. I get that during a pandemic you dont want to be out and about, but if you have to be to pay bills, it should be encouraging when people come in to patronize the location and give reason to keep the job going.I believe the owner was there at the time when he took my payment then she made the ice cream items. I politely thanked her and got yea with another distinct impression she was mad I even came up to the window to order. To note, the owner smiled and was friendly. To add, the counter girl did not use gloves of any kind and handed me a unwrapped spoon without gloves or even a napkin. I watched as both the blizzard and milkshake were made without washing hands after she used both hands to open the counter window - disappointing health standards even if COVID was not a thing right now.I dont need to risk my only familys safety to window order during a pandemic when the employees arent going to be excited about serving when likely businesses is significantly down and especially not when said employees arent washing their hands. Will be making my own blizzard and shake at home next time or going somewhere else.

Im not sure if I just stopped by when The B Team was working, or when they were accidentally under-staffed, but it was a super long line & not a good experience at all.Theres not a good system for Food Delivery services to grab their orders w/o impacting the walk-up customers, so you constantly had DoorDash/Uber Eats pounding on the locked front door, cutting into the front of the line, or trying to yell to the staff through the window while other people were ordering. With the very long lines, the staff decided to take X number of orders & then make/serve X amount of orders- rather than making/serving orders as the came in. This led to our order being made & then sitting inside for 5-10min-resulting in 2 extremely melted down Blasts that could not possibly have been served upside down as they say. With that many calories packed into a tiny cup, it still tasted good, but we were really disappointed as we only go out for ice cream once every few weeks, if that. Im sure well be back because my wife is preggo & theres not another walkable ice cream spot that I know of, but well likely try going at a different time to see if theres a more efficient staff on the clock.

I love dq. But this place has the rudest people working there. I watched them mess someone’s order up and then refuse to remake it. Only to offer refund. All because they were very rude and the customer asked her name. They mess my order up often but I love the ice cream so much j deal with it. I don’t bring my kids because they are so nasty. No one should be treated this poorly.Update.Big changes to staff. They are much nicer, seem happier and they are doing great.

I have been a DQ customer for very long time but I recently had a VERY negative experience at 2200 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60614.  The experience was very negative that I felt disappointed enough to write this. The issue took place on Sunday May 24th little before 2pm. I was standing in line to order thru the window. After about 15 mins I got to the window. The employee had a mask that was NOT covering his nose, only his mouth. After I ordered a small oreo cheescake blizzard I stepped aside. When my order became ready I was called & picked it up. As soon as I stepped away from the window, I took a bite of my order and realized that it is the wrong order. I was given an orea blizzard, no cheese cake whatsoever. I tried stirring with the spoon to see if there are any but there was none. By then someone else had stepped to the window to place an order as there was a long line. I did not want to interrupt & I wanted to practice social distancing. I then waited for 2 more customers until I asked one to let me just ask a question before they order, the customer said go ahead. I said to the employee that my order was not right. He yelled loudly at me with a very sharp tone NO, you got the right order, you ate out of it. I told him no, and explained to him. He then said throw it, its gone. I stepped away because I did not want to get into an argument specially during such times & with a line behind me waiting to order. I had only had two spoons of the order. I then realized I did not get the employees name so I stood back again in line & waited for 10 minutes to get to the window. This time as soon as I go to the window the person who previously took my order & yelled me stepped away in anger. I asked the other employee what his name was.She took a second or two to think as if she is trying to think of a fake name.she said Andrew.I then asked for managers name she said Prickly. I expect better from DQ, very bad customer service. He MUST have mask to cover his mouth and nose as it is a CDC guideline but even with that he also needs to be polite and provide good customer service if not exceptional.

The service is terrible. They made a mistake by giving me someone elses ice cream. I didnt realize it was a mistake and started eating it in a table. They realized they made a mistake after the other customer told them. They just screamed at me like it was my intention to eat it. I didnt even like that flavor and didnt finish it. Instead of apologizing for their mistake, they just yelled like high school kids. There are several reviews complaining about the customer service. Now I know why.

There can never be enough Dairy Queen locations and I feel lucky to live close to this location. Its a smaller location, but has a great walk-up window if you want a quick treat on your way to Oz park since it is a pretty popular location. I would highly suggest the Smores blizzard if you havent tried it yet, it will blow your mind. This is one of the only locations that will serve you a blizzard upside down like it was intended.

Sometimes you cant beat an Orange Julius. Keep your Jambas and smoothies and slushies and fro yo treats - theres something unmistakable and irreplaceable about an Orange Julius. My favorite is the triple berry. This location is fun because it has a to go window on Lincoln and seeing folks lined up outside that window just feels so much like Summer to me.DQ has all of the usual offerings. Staff at this location are a bit on the slower side and Ive seen it pretty backed-up at times. Last summer I wanted to have a shake (strawberry maybe?), but they were out of the syrup/stuff so they recommended a cherry shake. It was DELICIOUS and that is the only kind of shake I get from DQ now.
