Love this place! Stopped in on a freezing May Day, but was perfect. I love when there are no lines. They have the best candy selection. Some old school favorites!! And of course “new” selections for our current generation! Their custard was amazing. Not super sweet and a fabulous texture. Typically only vanilla, chocolate and a special rotating flavor. Tons of toppings to add on top or in as a concrete. Plus, huge bonus, great coffee!! And and even bigger bonus, great friendly staff. Street parking surrounding, pay at box.

The service was bad, there were two people working there only one waited on the customers.

Ordered two sundaes and a pupcup, mine was the one with the red velvet cake and my boyfriend’s was the berry cheesecake one. We both agreed that they were probably the best sundaes we ever had. The store itself was very cute and the worker was very polite.

Ive always been to the one on Broadway and this is a newer one I believe. Its basically the same thing which is a good thing. The frozen custard is what I get, as its the holidays they have a peppermint bark one and it was very good. The mint is also. Its very heavy custard so a medium size is plenty for most people. The small is actually probably most for anyone but I have no self control.

Some issues with my accent. My face covering didnt help. Great icecream.

First off, know that this isnt an ice cream parlor, its a frozen custard parlor. That being said, said frozen custard is DELICIOUS. They have a myriad selection of toppings, they can make blizzard-type treats, they can make banana splits (fer cheap, too!), and they also have fun stuff like old candies, and glass-bottled sodas! Its a fun place ta go, and I recommend it fer various tasteh sweet treat cravings. Nomnomnom! 😄

A very cute frozen custard shop with lots of toppings (at least 40!) and tasty flavor combinations.They also have a sizable selection of candies and vintage sodas. And theres outdoor seating when the weather is nice! A sweet way to spend an afternoon.

What a fun dessert spot. Beyond very creative and delicious custards where they will mix in the various cakes or cookies or brownies they sell a la carte, they have one of the most complete collections of nostalgic candy i have ever seen. I cant remember the last time I say Charleston Chews or candy (bubble gum) cigarettes or those wax lips. Very cool.

At Lickety Split Chicago I discovered peanut butter frozen custard. They made me an awesome caramel malt. They have a fun variety of vintage sodas too.

We had a great time today. The service was good and the candy and custard were amazing. There is no seating inside and the city is riping up Lunt so sitting outside is a bit nasty. (Dont get me started on the heat and humidity.) I was able to find parking on western.Thank you for being open during covid.

This is a fun frozen custard shop full of colorful vintage candy. My kids ask to come here all the time (they like the sprinkle filled wafer saucers). The staff is friendly and laugh at my husbands jokes (sometimes hes funny). I reccomend the Scarlets last Fall sundae.My only critique is there are very few flavors to choose from, however I suspect that may be nature of frozen custard.

I got the peanut butter custard with a vanilla cupcake mixed in and I enjoyed that. But the toffee cookie i got to enjoy later wasnt as good as i thought it would be. They also have a very wide variety of traditional well known chocolates that Ill be back to get.

OVERPRICED for the portion size, mediocre taste and limited options.We tried the peanut butter brownie, chocolate ice cream and a turtle sundae. $ 6-7.00 for a small TURTLE SUNDAE. The lid cover for sundae was obnoxiously HUGE for the size of the sundae.Peanut butter brownie is heavy on the peanut butter. Had better at Whole Foods.I live in the area of both their locations. We walked in after visiting the park nearby. Ive checked it off my list and shall never return. Thoroughly disappointed in the limited Ice Cream flavors and the bakery options. I do not feel it is worth the price.

$7.56 is the cost of a one scoop turtle sundae at this location. What a joke compared to Andys Frozen Custard in Evanston and Scooters on Belmont and Paulina. For that price one should be getting at least two large scoops or three. Their custard isnt something to write home about.

I wish I could snack here every day. The frozen custard is delicious, and the special flavors like root beer or blueberry, are delicious. My son usually sticks with a single scoop in a waffle cone, while I always go with a malt. They have other options such as shakes, floats, sundaes, or a concrete. Theres also a very large selection of candies that you can buy, including some I havent seen since I was a kid in the 80s.Place your order, grab a seat by the window, and enjoy your well deserved dessert.

Lickity Split is awesome. I used to drive all the way over to the Broadway location and now theres one on Western which is so nice. Its a super cute store the decor is very cool and the offerings are great. I esp love coming bc the staff are so polite and patient. Naturally there are usually alot of kids and the staff are always super chill and accomodating. Highly recommend

I love frozen custard and this place has an amazing selection. Classic chocolate, vanilla, and a seasonal flavour are the staples here. Their selection of concretes are superb, or you can make up your own. They also have a huge candy selection and decent baked goods/desserts for the non-frozen custard crowd.

Im addicted. The frozen custard is pretty much the best Ive ever had and the concoctions are creative, tasty and made with really fresh ingredients. The decor is funky and fun, the old fashion candy selection is amazing, super friendly staff and a great location between Indian Boundary and Warren Parks.I do think it is a bit pricey (large shake $7-8, med blended with stuff $7),but the quality and taste is there.

I discovered this place on a long walk on a hot day. The peach cobbler special (peach custard, homemade streusel, peaches, and whipped cream) really hit the spot and energized me for the walk home. They also have baked goods, lots of candies, and coffee.

This is my favorite frozen dessert in the city. Period. Their custard s and concrete are the perfect texture and flavor. Its so good its almost ruined other custard places for me (Andys, Culvers) because its so much better.

Great little shop that sells hard to find candies, cakes, and ice cream. They also serve coffee and espresso. Chocolate and vanilla ice cream are always offered along side a special flavor and concrete that rotates out every two weeks.

This is one of my favorite places. The frozen custard is amazing, plus there is an amazing assortment of old fashioned candies and unusual bottled sodas. There are also cookies by Celestial Kitchens and coffee from Metropolis.

Lickety Split is a great Frozen Custard place. They only have three-four flavors at a time (with chocolate and vanilla being their constants), but its fun to come in every month to see what the new flavor is. They also have a ton of toppings to choose from, so its not hard to try something new every time you go in!

Such a fun place right by Indian Boundary Park. We came in for candy but were pleased to find they serve Metropolis Coffee and make amazing hot chocolate too! Will be back for frozen custard in the summer.
