We only thought we were getting 2 movers but we got 3 with no extra charge. They moved our things so fast and not a single thing got damaged throughout the whole process. They made it so easy to move, never moving by myself again. 10/10 would recommend!!

This company is great! The only issue was a little snafu regarding my washer and dryer. It was rectified. Other than that they showed up wearing their masks, ready to work. Very professional and helpful. The price was reasonable. I would definitely use them again. ...... were Awesome!

The team at A plus movers took full responsibility of the move, making sure everything was done right and we the customers did minimal work. They carefully and tightly packed the truck, giving us as much space as possible. The team was friendly and easy to work with. We would recommend!

The team was very fast and very professional. I moved between apartments so getting stuff to the first floor and into the truck was kind of a pain, but they were able to cut time by maximizing every elevator ride. Between multiple wrap layers and taped moving blankets I did not need to worry about any damage to furniture and electronics. I would definitely recommend them and I am very grateful for their assistance.

Hired A plus movers for a local move 1 bed 1 bath. It took them 6 1/2 hours for 2 people. Only one of the guys was actually moving everything. The entire place was pre boxed, bed was taken apart etc so there was absolutely no reason it should have taken them 4 hours just to get my belongings out of my building that had a freight elevator.They charge by the hour and will only have one person do the work while the old guy sits in the truck. I had to help move in my own stuff because the one guy couldn’t do it all and I wanted them out.As the other reviews stated they say they take credit cards then when doing the work said the cc machine is broken and only take cash or check. Total scam.After tip it cost me $1000 for a 1 bed 1 bath local move lolGo to a more reputable company that won’t scam you on the hours.

My experience with this moving company has been anything but less than amazing! They had a huge project on their hands due to the fact I was moving from Minnesota to Texas (1,200+ miles away!). And, this was my first huge move. They were great with communication, which really helped ease any concerns that I had. Super polite and their pricing are fair, far better than any other moving company I was looking into! I appreciate their hard work and would definitely use their services again!

They were on time and very efficient. We hired them last minute but were a pleasure to work with that we have already hired them again. We even had to do multiple locations and they were very accommodating.

This is the first time that Ive had to move in a long time so I had a lot of stuff that I care about moving between the two houses. I called A-Plus Moving & Storage because they were recommended to me by some friends. The movers were really friendly, the service wasnt trying to nickel and dime me, and everything came whole. I barely had to lift a finger and the whole experience was incredible. Call these guys if you have a long move ahead of you.

The team at A Plus was just that. They were so nice, great sports about moving in 90 degree noon heat without AC, and treated every piece and detail of the move with impressive care. They were so quick and efficient that every time I turned around a whole new section would be done, and they made the entire process feel seamless (which is saying a lot for a moving day). Needed assistance loading my apartment into a truck for a long distance move. Was very fortunate to have Al and Chris help for 3 hours. Al must be a Tetris master as he packed the truck like a pro. These guys know how to get it done.

I still stand by my 1 star rating as this company doesnt need to mislead potential customers into thinking that they run a legit business. I moved from a large studio to a 3 bdrm. It was recommended that get the 2 person team. The movers claimed that they couldnt fit my queen sized mattress into the elevator. The same mattress that me and my little brother moved into the unit without incident. They were going to leave my mattress so my sick boyfriend carried my mattress down 11 flights of stairs expidite the move and became the 3rd unpaid mover. One person was almost a teen and the other was a senior. The older man complained the entire time because I had a lot of books and he said that I shouldve hired more people. He berated the younger man for the duration of the move. They claimed to accept credit cards but after my items were loaded, they only would accept cash. I didnt have cash so they held my belongings in the truck while I went to the atm. Hiring this company was a rookie move that I wont make again. Afterwards I called several times about my experience and didnt receive a return call after trying for weeks. When someone did answer, they were extremely rude and had no accountability for how their staff treated my move. Moving is stressful enough and theyre not worth the headache.

Where do I start? They promised me three movers and there were only two. They were late. They took forever because there were only two movers and therefore charged a crazy amount. They broke the entertainment system and a lamp. They scratched the apartment bldg. It was Al and old Joe from the liquor store. Go with Two Men and a truck. You’ll end up spending less for a more professional and efficient service! We learned from our mistake the hard way. If you do go with them at least make them sign something for insurance purposes. We didn’t have any signed agreement. Big mistake all around. Professionals make you sign an agreement for YOUR protection.

I was a bit worried booking A Plus movers over the phone and not having some sort of email or paper confirmation. The last thing you want is movers not showing up when you have to be out of your place. Id recommend A Plus movers do some sort of email confirmation if you call to book. I also had trouble calling and getting a hold of someone. But these guys showed up on time and did great work! I would recommend A Plus movers to ask more specific questions about the amount of stuff their customers have. Its very hard to say yeah I have a lot of stuff vs. yeah I dont have that much stuff, which is what I was asked. I had more stuff than what they prepared for BUT Al still only charged me for what we agreed on via phone. Plus, the guys actually moving stuff were awesome! Thier job is not easy, I couldnt do my move without their help. I would recommend using these guys if you are on a budget. Great price for the service! I was willing to tip these guys well at the end of the day.

First off, I think its worthy to note that I never write reviews. My roommate and I needed movers fairly last minute and were in desperate need of a moving company as most did not have availability. We called A Plus Movers and luckily they were able to fit us into their schedule. They were very accommodating and gave us a reasonable quote, so we decided to go with them. Needless to say, they were prompt, professional, and very easy to work with. We were so happy with our moving experience that we decided to book movers through A Plus again a few weeks later, as we both had to move out of our apartments a couple weeks before we could move into our new apartment. A Plus Movers helped me with an emergency move that was dirty, complex, and REALLY heavy. I was upset and had to clear out a relatives apartment in a hurry, and without Al and his crew I would never have made it. They accommodated several date/time delays while I got ready. I have moved throughout the nation a lot and have used a lot of movers. I must admit that A plus movers is up there with the best. The service was prompt and professional. The estimate was accurate. i have no complaints about the service. my next move if possible will be with A plus.

AL and Ken were so helpful. I had dramatically underestimated the amount of stuff I had, and needed some furniture disassembled which Id not considered. They got it done, and delivered everything safe and sound, plus reassembled the furniture! I hope to never move again, but if I do, Im calling A Plus!

Good: on time, rolled with the punches when freight elevator wasn’t available right away; listened to me and let me direct the move into a tight storage unit.Bad: their credit card service was down and I had to run out to get cash from an ATM.

Al and A Plus Chicago Movers did a great job! I needed their services for packing only. After they learned that my shipment was going to Africa by boat, they ensured that all of my items were packed tightly and safely to withstand even the toughest conditions. Highly recommend!I will say however that I found the payment confusing and time consuming. Though the final price was fair, it took us 30 minutes of scribbling numbers and working with a calculator to determine the price.

BUYER BEWARE this company isnt BBB accredited. One star lost because mgmt isnt aware when credit card machines break there are many alternative processes, I was forced to go to an atm to pay cash. One star lost because they killed my plant in transit. Last star lost because I paid TWICE as much as Two Men and a Truck for the SAME labor! Service is sort of ok, but why pay twice as much as the standard rate?Updated: ALL STARS LOST. Weeks after they contact me to put the cash I wasnt able to draw from ATM onto a card, and their machine STILL didnt work. Mgmt is Inept, and best avoided.

Unprofessional, outrageously expensive, and a total rip-off. I scheduled my move with Mr. Al Hogan Jr. Over the phone, we discussed the amount of (fully furnished) rooms I had in my apt and that I lived on the 3rd floor of my apartment bldg. He told me that the move would cost $120/hr for 3 professional movers and the move would be expected to take between 3 - 4 hrs. He told me that the total cost would be about $500, which is pricey, but I figured, Im paying for professionals. Mr. Hogan told me that I could pay by cash or with a credit or debit card. My move was scheduled for 8:30am. The movers arrived pretty much on time, but when Al Hogan surveyed my apartment, he said hed have to get a bigger truck. After hed been gone for a couple of hours, I attempted to call him to see what was taking so long, and his business phone was disconnected. WOW! Now Im wondering if this is some kind of scam. They finally came back a little after 11am, and when they returned, they still had the same truck as before. OK. Before they began, Mr. Hogan wrapped the china cabinet and appliances, which was wonderful, but thats where everything went down hill. About an hour into the move, one of the 3 professional movers quit. Apparantly, he was from a temp agency and decided moving was too much for him. Now, moving is some seriously hard work, but if youre a mover, what do you expect? So, only 2 movers left, and they looked like someones old uncles from the corner liquor store. Both were older gentlemen, neither one of the them had an ounce of strength, and they were moving one item at a time, because they didnt even have a dolly; they had a rickety piece of wood with wobbly wheels on it. Around 3:30 in the afternoon, Mr. Hogan told me that I was killing his men, but if he felt that bad for them, why didnt he become the 3rd man Id hired and help them instead of standing around barking out instructions. One mover even asked my son why he wasnt helping move the stuff. Duh - thats what he was hired for. The move dragged on for so long, I finally did get my son up to help me move all of the furniture to the back door so they could just grab it and go. I told them I would move the smaller items myself because it was taking too long. When they arrived at the new place to move the furniture in, once again, my son and I (and Im a woman) helped them move the mattresses, box springs, boxes, and bags in to get the job done. They didnt finish moving me until 7:45pm. Indeed an all day move. Then Mr. Al Hogan comes up with the grand total of $1100. $1100 instead of $500 because it took them 9 hours to complete the move. He would not take into account that my son and I helped them complete the move, nor the fact that one of his movers quit and forced the move to take longer, or subtract the numerous breaks his men took because being professional movers, they didnt take into account the job would be so hard. Mr. Al Hogan and I argued viciously and finally he knocked the price down to an even grand, but refused to take my fridge and stove off the truck until I paid him. So, I give him $500 in cash and tell him to charge the other $500 (remember he said I could pay with a credit or debit card) and he tells me that he doesnt have the means to take a credit card, and that I would need to go find an ATM and get him the rest of his money. I told him that if he didnt take the card he wouldnt get paid, so he finally writes down my credit card number and told me that It better go through. A real professional right? Im still having nightmares about this move and will use EVERY review site I can find to tell people about them.
