I just called the store to ask if they carry replacement platform (I called it disc thingy) for a ceiling fan. They dont, but answered my questions about watts and measuring and I think I can order something now that will work. Very helpful. Thank you.

Great experience going in. The staff was knowledgeable about their products and what would be good for you. Unfortunately I cant give them 5 stars due to issues with customer service.Their policy is that they dont call their customers to relay information. I ordered a product that was due within a week. I received no phone call the day the item was due. The next day I physically went in to check, I was told the item had been back ordered and was 3 weeks out. Why no phone call? Their response was we have so much going on we cant call everyone.The bottom line is a local business HAS to compete with internet businesses in this day and age. If someone can get something for a better price and faster, then your only angle is customer service. A phone call could have saved them a sale and potential future customer and recommendation. Instead you insult them by saying thanks for keeping it local as they walk out. No, thank you for showing how much you actually care about your customers.

I went in to purchase two new bathroom vanity lights. I mentioned that my current lights were only a year old but they are having issues and Lowes discontinued them for this reason. The gentleman in the store stopped me from buying the new fixtures and said he may be able to fix my existing ones with some spare parts. I already had one of the fixtures down so I brought it in. Upon further inspection the fixtures were deemed not worth to fix. I was very impressed that Northern Lights wasnt just after a sale and they tried to help me with a more affordable option. I ended up selecting two very stunning fixtures that are period correct for my 1905 home, of great quality and even a great price! These will be much more beautiful and much higher quality than what I originally had.
