These guys are always knowledgeable and friendly. They have a great selection of baits and gear! Good selection of electronics too! What keeps me coming back though, is how great they are with the kids. They tell my kids how to catch fish. When they’re catching fish, I have more time to catch fish myself! Anyways…y’all should check these guys out!
While traveling to Nashville on Labor Day, our boat trailer totally gave out. Our boat & trailer were towed from highway 24 to Tailwater Marine in Clarksville TN. A few days later we finally located a new trailer. Although Tailwater was closed for inventory, after learning that we were visiting Tennessee for our wedding anniversary, they paused their inventory work and made moving our boat to our new trailer their priority. Their work was excellent and reasonably priced. A big shout out to Vern, Corey & Ryan.
I dropped my boat of during a very busy time. I was informed it might take a bit but no later than certain time. The guys at tidewater held up their timeline. I was called with information pertaining to the issues with my motor and given the options to fix it. Not only did they fix the issue they also rebuilt my carbs. Greatly appreciate the work performed. Top notch work!! My boat runs like a top and all issues were resolved. Highly recommended, honest and fair priced. Thank you Tailwater Marine.
I Jerry Collins met the crew at the riverside store about two weeks ago and they were so helpful on assisting me with all the questions I had concerning my 1994 pro craft, so they referred me to the Dover road store, and the crew there was also very helpful, I went in to get a 100 hour service and the General manager told me off the bat that from what I was telling him wouldn’t fix my problem and I need to just have them check the boat out first, they didn’t want to take my money fir something that wouldn’t fix my problem, where can you go at a time like this and fine honest people, I would refer any of my family and friends to Tailwater Marine.
My husband and I just bought a boat from Tailwater. Jose and Ryan were great to work with! Thanks so much guys!
In town for a business trip. Came in and asked for help on spots to fish. Bought some tackle I have been missing and learned some stuff. Great staff super friendly and great prices.
The entire crew was outstanding, from Vern, Cory, Josh, Brant, Chris, Doug and the rest of the crew, they worked very hard in getting my boat ready to hit the water before the weather got too bad, one of the best customers services Ive ever experiences. Thank you guys
No that’s not true! If you call and tell them your motor is older than 90 you are promptly informed that you don’t do any motors before 90!!! Don’t believe me, call em!
I spent upwards of 40k on a new boat from these folks in February of 2020. There were a few minor bugs to be worked out early on and I will say that I was treated well. In September 2020, I encountered a power trim problem that required the pump assembly to be replaced. Someone didn’t install a retaining clip properly causing a pin to vibrate out and break the reservoir. The shop did the repair satisfactorily. Along the same time, I experienced a performance issue with the engine. I took it back and explained that it wasn’t developing the RPM it should and had a vibration at idle. After a sea trial, I was told that the only thing they could find wrong was the spark plugs were dirty and the throttle limits were slightly off. I was told that further testing would be done. I also mentioned an intermittent tach problem when I left it and was told they checked it and it was off and needed adjustment. Several weeks later, I was contacted by the mechanic who said it was a fuel pressure problem and that parts had been ordered. Fast forward to the parts arriving. They installed the fuel pump and it still had a miss in it so the mechanic proceeded to leave it running on ring free and go to lunch. The engine then overheated and they called me wanting to put a water pump in it. That was the last straw. I went to get it. They told me it was an injector problem and to run it and see what happened. Ran it. Same issue and it was pumping fine. Tachometer was worse and had tool marks on the back where the mechanic didn’t push in to turn the adjustment and rounded off the adjustment screw. Bought new injectors and installed them myself. Same issue. Finally, got someone to check valve timing and sure enough, the timing was off 2 teeth. (See white marks on the cam gears in the photo, the engine is at TDC and they should be aligned). Turns out someone put a metal bushing in upside down in the flywheel cover either at the dealer or the factory. The bushing vibrated out and got caught in the timing belt causing it to jump. The bad part is that I was told the timing had been checked and was fine. I guess the mechanic didn’t understand the difference between ignition timing and valve timing. What a mess! The timing was re-set and the engine performance is back. (Tach still broken) I, however, will not be back to this shop. They cost me several hundred dollars, wasted trips, and lost time on the water.
Just wanna thank everyone at tailwater marine for the great customer service and helping me get my boat back home.. best marine service around
I needed some repair done to my boat. I was told to bring it over and I drove across town to get it there. I was then told that well we don’t work on older boats. We usually only work on boats we can hook a computer up to. I was told to take it home and wait a few days for some other guy to contact them to see if he could do it. I was then called and told well your boat is so old that we can’t get parts for it and you wouldn’t like the repair anyway. My boat isn’t that old. I took it down to Clarksville boat and motor. They had all the parts in stock and fixed it with no problem at all. It was a mercury so there shouldn’t be any problems getting parts. Sorry that we don’t all have money to buy brand new boats but most people have older boats.
Had a little hiccup with my trailer repair. However the management was quick to address and fix the issue. Honest business. Recommended
As one of the three Nucanoe dealers in Tennessee, they were SO helpful and friendly! I wasn’t sure which model I wanted, and they patiently showed me the differences between the models and helped me make an informed decision! They even let me bring my dog to see which one would be best for her ! 😀They also offered to put different models in the water so I could test drive them!!!Corey ordered my Nucanoe and had all of my additional accessories installed by the time I went to pick it up! Super nice and super helpful! Thanks guys!
Friendly staff and very helpful!
Absolutely knowledgeable and wonderful staff who provide excellent customer service. Got my boat motor running like it was brand new!
My visit was enjoyable,, the guys there were very friendly and knowledgeable. Being one of the few marine shops still open their work load for service is about a 1 to 2 week back log,, but their attention to detail is unsurpassed in accurate turn around and service completion. I highly recommend this business 👌
I got treated fairly! Great customer service!
Had a clogged speedometer sensor in the lower unit of my Mercruiser. They fixed it for nothing while I waited. Thanks, Tailwater Marine!

Thanks Corey and Mike for being so helpful reviving my boat. These guys went the extra mile to teach me a few things specific to my model. The service was professional and no repairs were made until I approved them. I will be a repeat customer in the future!

Brough a small 9.9 johnson in for repairs. The prices seem fair and they did what I paid them to do, i have no complaints. Good service and friendly.
So helpful ..nice people .Great buisness
I have called and stopped by Tailwater on several occassions and every time I have the same level of beyond excellent customer service to the point of feeling like I am at home when I am there. I would highly recommend them to anyone especially those new to boatimg or fixing up an older boat like me. I will continue to be a customer.
Great boat dealership. They have a good selection of baits.
Bought Demo kayak from them at campers fair at Piney Campground, good deal in my opinion. Very helpful and nice.
Always helpful and get you in and get you out back on the water soon as possible!
Ordered a new depth finder they got me exactly what I wanted at a fair price thanks again
Came in on 18Aug2018, to look at a few Wahoo kayaks. Cory the GM was gracious enough to show me the ends and outs of the Kayaks. Showed me the Bonifide127, the Flint and then the Wahoo paddle board and the kayak. Cory walked me through the process from start to finish, no question was left in answered. Not only was the Flint st a great price, but helped me with a set up that will last me years to come.Another co-worker (can’t remember his name) but worked in the Air Force, Air National Guard, helped me load up the flint and strap it in. The store is 100% professional, hardworking and dedicated professionals. Cory even went a step further and helped me make a contact in the kayak bass fishing circut so I can know people to fish with. These people are 10 stars if I could give 10 stars. Always willing to help people at every turn. AWESOME STORE AWESOME PEOPLE.
Very impressed with their customer service. They go out of their way to help you.
Great place with amazing service!
Huge Rip-Off! Avoid at all costs! They asked me to bring my Sea Doo up and put in on consignment as I was trying to sell it. I had one of my employees drop it off and the guy who took it in told him We dont do anything with Sea-Doos. so my employee called me and asked if I still wanted to leave it and I told him the owner had told me to bring it up so as long as they sold Sea-Doos it would be fine. the employee said they would clean it up and get it sold. A couple of weeks later I call to check on it and the guy (very rudely) tells me I aint touched it. Im backed up like three weeks and I dont have time for it. so I said fine do i need to come pick it up? No, Ill get to it but dont expect it to be right away. So a few days later I get a call from the same rude guy, Come get this Sea-Doo, we dont want nothing to do with it. Seriously? I say, followed by some choice words about his rude attitude. So I go down to get it and he tells me if I dont pay for 3 hours hes gonna charge me storage for the whole time you left it here. which would have been way more than the 3 hours of service. As were exchanging some choice words the salesman tries to calm me down and tells me I think we vapor locked the motor. Which gets me really heated (not sure why that was supposed to make me feel better) and I just pay the bill and tell them to give me my unit back to which (after taking my money) another guy tells me Get the F**k out of my store! I had to wait 20-30 minutes for my boat even though I can see them inside laughing about the situation. I feel like I handled it as bet i could but I definitely keep my cool the whole time. Long story short: Please dont go to these crooks. They will break your stuff and charge you to do it. I was warned myself not to go here and I wish I had listened. Dont be their next fool.
Real good
This place needs an actual parking lot. Three cars almost hit my mothers.
This place has everything you may need for anything to bait hooks to boat manuals. Bottom line is if you need anything to get back on the water for the summer this is the place you need to be.
Great parts department and knowledgeable staff.
This is a horrible place to do bussiness dont recomend at all. came in with boat needing carbs cleaned... they replaced plugs and changed oil 193.27 afer i water checked boat still want run at power on water same as befor will never do bussiness with again
Nice, friendly staff
Terrible service. Bad shop! Was quoted an already expensive price for simple trailer work, and when I showed up to pick up my boat, the invoice was over $150 higher than the quote. And they never called me to get approval!!! Manager gave me a bad attitude about the entire process. Unfortunately, I was stuck and had to use their services. To make it even worse, one of the bearings they replaced exploded on the drive home, so in addition to being price gougers, their work is shoddy.I would avoid this place at all costs.
Great customer service!!!
Honest people
I only got a flat here but they did not tow me so Im happy
Treat you fairly!
