When it was time to buy a new (preowned) car, I searched the internet up and down, and I went to several Hyundai dealerships. To make a long story short, nearly every price you find online is several thousand dollars under what they dealerships end up charging you. The worst of the local places is the Hyundai Dealership of New Port Richey. They charge far more than any other place I find online in extra fees, and since theyre the largest Hyundai dealership in the country, which they remind you of repeatedly when you go there, they treat you as just another number. Im guessing their attitude is-- if you dont buy the car, someone else will, so they have this take-it-or-leave-it attitude thats not very friendly.I found Fitzgerald Used Car Outlet Center in Clearwater while doing an online search for a Hyundai Santa Fe on truecar.com. For those who dont know, its a really useful website will show you any hidden costs and fees (thats how you can see how outrageous some of these dealerships are), the catch is that when you click on the car to see what the price is, the dealership gets your contact information (which is fine if you like the price, but not convenient if the price is too high). Fitzgerald had a great price, and truecar.com showed me that their added fees were pretty minimal compared to the others (again, the worst of the hidden fees that I came across is Hyundai of New Port Richie--they charge $1,500 for a reconditioning fee alone! and about $3,500 more in total than what their online price says).My salesman at Fitzgeralds was Chris Hayes. The difference between him and the guys at the other local dealerships was night and day. He treated me as a human rather than a customer, and seemed genuinely concerned about helping me get what I was hoping for, rather than maximizing his commission. Chris and the rest of the team were able to get me the deal I was hoping for, get all the paperwork done, get my loan secured, and get the keys in my hands within an hour or two after arriving. Chris followed up a week later to see how I was enjoying the car. So I definitely would buy from them again, and would highly recommend them to others.

I LOVE my Camry... I have spent over a month looking for a car and it has been extremely stressful. Id be very afraid to buy a car from here. My daughters 19 year old friend recently purchased a 2003 Dodge Neon SXT from them. My first time riding in it with her, if we went above 35/40 mph, had a horrendous shimmy. When we got home, I checked the tires and the passenger rear tire was completely bald. There was no tread. Zero. You can clearly tell in the pics. I took the car to get the tire replaced the next day, and found out that the drivers side outer tie rod end was loose, extremely worn out and on the verge of breaking, which couldve caused a catastrophic loss of steering and certainly injuries and/or death, not just to her, but to my daughter and any other innocent person on the road.It was fairly obvious someone had switched the worn tire from the front to the back. That alone, shouldve raised a red flag that something was wrong with the vehicle. All this over a 14$ tie rod and about a half hour of labor and a 32$ tire. They are willing to jeopardize their customers lives and everyone else on the road, including their own families to save a few dollars, literally. I, and my boss, an ex dealer tech, called to address the problem and bring it to their attention. We spoke with a manager named Mindy. She was very nonchalant, said that everything is sold as-is, which we are aware of, but thought they would, at the very least be interested in the fact that they are putting unsafe vehicles on the road.We wanted to speak to someone in upper management, but she said she would pass the message on to them. We also inquired if they would be giving us a call, but she said no, but she will let them know, as if it were no big deal. Not even an apology from her either. Very scary that they would allow this car to be put on the road. Even scarier that this passed a safety inspection from their own inspectors.

I dread any time I have to go to a dealership to buy a car after a horrible experience at a dealership in St Pete. However, I have to say that we had a great experience today with Chad at the Fitzgerald Car Outlet Center in Clearwater. The whole process was pretty painless, and Chad was great to deal with, not pushy at all. The finance manager was excellent too, no issues at all. I’m very choosy about who I deal with, and it is entirely likely that we will go back to The Fitzgerald Used Car Center for our next vehicle.

I wouldn’t recommend buying a vehicle here. Desperation doesn’t have a good smell. The etiquette and level of rudeness from this dealership makes you wonder why customers would settle for this lot. Sometimes, a customer thinks they don’t have any options. They do. The sales staff is unprofessional and the finance management ran my credit without approval. I’ll be filing a complaint against this dealership. Proceed with caution. Considering how sketchy they are, I would advise shopping with a Reliable mechanic. The last thing you want is to have to continue dealing with dealership.

I totaled the car I loved on 7/20 of this year…a 2005 Honda Accord Coupe that never had any mechanical problems. So after a few days of recovery; I began my search for a car replacement and wow, it was a bit overwhelming.I ended up on a site I liked referred to me by Geico and found a few cars I thought I could work with only looking at Honda and Toyota cars, which my mechanic recommended. Well, that car shouldve been scrapped. Trying to sell a vehicle yet suggesting that the potential customer look into dropping more dollars on a not very well kept (of at all) vehicle is not the way to go. Appreciate it though, you saved me from buying a money pit.

I had an excellent experience purchasing my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee from this store. George Gomez was extremely helpful and made my experience go as smoothly as possible. He built a great report and came across as very trustworthy person. The rest of their staff was very friendly and helpful as well. They list their prices low so dont expect to go in and play the game. With that being said, they did work with me on the numbers and valued my trade at what I would consider more than fair. They even disclosed their cost and profit which I was surprised about. It certainly seemed reasonable. Another plus was that their were no hidden fees!! I was very happy about that. My only complaint would be that the process took a while, but in the end I got the car I wanted at a good price. I would definitely purchase again.

The Chevy Silverado I purchased this week has low mileage, is in near perfect condition, and was priced fairly. The drivers seat had a large rip in the seam, which I told Christian I would have fixed on my own, and to my surprise and joy, Christian had asked his manager if they would fix it for me before I took possession - this was above and beyond my expectations and a real treat! After I took possession of the Chevy my best-friend/mechanic and I went over the truck in detail and were impressed the Fitzway Service Department used a high quality AC Delco oil filter, and had clearly serviced the truck perfectly. Honest brokers, friendly people - highly recommend!

After a very stressful week, it was a relief to find such great service at Fitzgerald Used Car Outlet Center! Cody Martin helped my fiancé and I find the exact car that we wanted. The experience was extremely pleasing. Chet, our salesman, was very helpful throughout the entire process. The car we bought was listed as a handyman special. The 138 point inspection stated the all checks had passed. Due to the mileage on the car, I suspected that a timing belt would be needed. So, I took the car into my local Subaru dealership to get the car further inspected. They verified that a timing belt was needed as I thought would be the case. Unfortunately, there was another concern, the head gaskets were beginning to leak; major repair. The estimate was a bit scary to say the least. I contacted Chet and we worked it out that Fitzgerald Subaru would do their own inspection. We were contacted a day or so later to let us know that they would be taking care of this very expensive repair, free of charge. So, I also asked that they replace the needed timing belt as well, fully understanding that we were most likely going to need to pay full price for a repair that we knew was needed when purchasing the car. When all was said and done, again a fantastic suprise, they only asked that we pay for the timing belt but no labor as this had to happen as part of the head gasket repair. In the end, my wife and I felt like we were treated in an extremely fair and standup manner by all the folks at Fitzgerald. Thanks so much for all of your help throughout the entire experience. 10 STARS! This is the second vehicle I have purchased from Fitz Outlet. I turned in my leased Kia Sorento a couple of months ago because I didnt want a car payment. Paid cash for a used vehicle from a private seller that turned out to a horrible money pit. I accepted the fact I would need a payment for something reliable and decent. I spoke with Chet at Fitz Outlet about a vehicle I thought I wanted. It sold at the time I was interested. Chet listened to me as to what I wanted. He found a Kia Sorento that I fell in love with. I did most of the dealing through text and applied online for financing. Chet brought the car to my home so I could see it. Same day I went to the Outlet to sign the papers and drove off. I love not spending 1/2 a day at a dealership. Chet and Alex service was excellent!

Havent bought a vehicle in over 7 years, mainly because I really dislike the car buying experience.. Have to say, I was quite surprised! About 1 1/2 hours from the time I drove onto the lot to the time I left. Chad was my salesman and he did a great job explaining everything.

I was worried about getting financed due to the fact that I had no credit but it ended up being no problem. Melissa was extremely helpful and worked to get me in my Hyundai Sonata which I love. Theres a mechanical issue with the car that wasnt realized beforehand but they are completely taking care of it for me and have been very pleasant through the process. Went into Fitzgerald and new exactly what trucks I wanted to take a look at. Ryan did a great job of answering my questions and if he didnt know the answer he figured it out. Friendly and welcoming staff willing to work with you and make sure you understand everything. Ended up purchasing a beautiful 2017 Toyota Tundra and my man Ryan made the whole process very smooth and hassle free. I would definitely recommend purchasing your next vehicle from them!

Had a great experience with Shawn as my salesman two days ago. I was coming from out of town to purchase a car and he kept in constant communication with me the entire time. The car I wanted to look at had sold before my scheduled trip. Shawn let me know ahead of time and sent an email with other comparable cars on the lot that I might like, which gave me time to do some research on the vehicles. I really appreciate the fact that he didnt try to get me there and surprise me with the fact that the original car was sold. In the end, I purchased a car for my daughter and it drove like a champ the entire three hour trip back home. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a vehicle.

First, I ended up not buying a car here but that was only because they didnt have quite what I was looking for. I do want to say that I had a very pleasant experience at Fitzgerald Outlet, though. I worked with Walter Chet Wilkinson and he was superb. Knowledgeable, pleasant and best of all not in the least bit pushy or a typical car salesman; Id have just walked out in that case. I ended up purchasing a car at another dealership (who had a similar philosophy as Fitzgerald - no haggle. no pressure) and it really only boiled down to the fact that the other place happened to have a vehicle which fit the bill, so to speak. I very much would recommend Chet and company if youre in the market for a used car - no plaid jacket and smoke and mirrors.

Had been hunting for a new car for a while, been given the runnaround at several dealerships and had so far been unable to find the right car on the right terms. Should have started at Fitz! showed me 3 vehicles, each better than the last and the 3rd being my PERFECT match. Everything I was looking for and then some, not to mention at a lower rate and shorter term than Id been able to get anywhere else thus far. I know I was a rather difficult customer given my high expectations and less-than-perfect (thats an understatement) credit score, but Floyd Martinez hit an absolute home-run with me and I couldnt be happier with my car, my payments, and not to mention my protection plan (4 of my oil changes are covered each year, I just pay tax) My mom will be coming here next year when my brother is ready for his first car! I would recommend to anyone.

I bought a used car less than a year and half ago. They said it was a certified used car and everything was in great working order. I had to replace the alternator 6 months after purchasing the car. Now I have to get a whole new engine. I expect a car to last more than a year and half before having to get a whole new engine. Perfect working order...what a joke. Stay away...they will tell you anything to sell a car.

I recently made a purchase from Fitz and was more than happy to post a review. Ive had some rough times with this unpredictable economy and knew when I started my search for a car that my credit score would probably bring me bad news but I stepped out anyway. Fitz was one of the places that I looked at for the car I really wanted but it wasnt the only place. The reason I came to Fitz was because of the initial phone call I made. I spoke with John Tartino and he was very kind and patient and answered all of my questions. He didnt rush me off the phone when I told him my situation but assured me that he would help as best he could. That wasnt something I received from a few of the other places I contacted.Once I got to Fitz I was welcomed and shown the car. All of the information matched what I read in the car fax before hand and I really liked that I wasnt being forced into buying a car. They have a great team of people there. Michelle and Don went over all the financial information and I felt they really fought on my behalf, understanding my story and truly wanting to help. What I thought would be a dreadful experience leaving with my tail between my legs actually was the opposite! The process was quick but very thorough and it was all thanks to the staff!

Im from NY and had to have my transit connect wagon battery change Dan Victory 99667 is Outstanding in his job, he listened to my problem and on a Saturday when they were working short handed, he was able to slip my vehicle in and replace my battery. The tech 99787 was very knowledgeable and also spoke with me about my battery ! Walker Ford is Very fortunate to have such Great people on their team !Thank You Again for everything!

Pulled up at 5:05pm and sales manager was in his car ready to go home (Dave). There was another gentleman helping a lady on the lot. My wife and infant son came with me to look at one specific car. Shortly after looking at the car which only took about 5 minutes, we proceeded to go inside and speak with Dave. He did not greet us and was very smug. We could barely hear what he was saying when he responded to me asking about if there was any wiggle room in the price at all. I understand it’s their choice to negotiate but being blatantly rude to a family just because you want to go home is not right, especially if you’re there to sell cars. He then as we walked out made a smart comment “Well that was easy”. We will NEVER use any Fitzgerald dealers or refer anybody to them EVER!! And by the way This is all also driving 45 minutes with an infant which as most people know is not the easiest. I guess that’s the ...#FitzWay

I was online shopping for 2 weeks, finally a White V6 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited showed up @ the Fitzgerald Automall Outlet Center? ((Outlet Center?)) My salesperson Cody surprised me with his knowledge of this vehicle. I had a difficult trade,, a brand-new Harley Davidson with just over 500 miles on it. Mark the appraiser was spot on within minutes. I havent noticed many women (Mindy) in management doing numbers. The numbers were spot on from her in minutes. And the final person Alex finished it up. John Tarntino was great, very laid back no pressure. They dont work on commission so no hard sales. They also have variable dealer fees based on the car price and they are lower than most. Financing guys were also great and very up front. Over all a straight forward no hassle process. My only complaint would be I had to bring it back in for some servicing but they covered the cost as it was an A+ rated vehicle.

I bought my Ford Mustang from this shop about one month ago. The guy Jeff is pretty good and he is very helpful. Though we had a bad experience on the trip because my roommates car broken down when we heading back, I still enjoyed a very pleasant time in the shop. Jeff is helpful and he always friendly tells me about the instructions I should follow.
