So many delicious Asian desserts, beverages, beautifully decorated individual cakes, tarts, mousse, macaron, along with bubble tea, coffees, fruit waters. They offer all kinds of milk breads and crispy little almond cookies that aren’t too sweet. When you enter there is a self-service bakery case with all different types of filled buns, sesame balls, pastry wrapped hot dogs, and my very favorite a curried beef puff which rivals most Jamaican beef patties.Love their Hawaiian and Korean shaved ice bowls.
Great little Asian bakery! They have a good variety of bakery and pastries that I never heard or see before. There bubble teas were going fast but I couldnt pass up the refreshing fresh fruit tea cup. It was really good. It has a slice of grapefruit, slice of orange, slice of lime, fresh pineapple, kiwi and strawberries...i should of bought 1 for now and one for later. I couldnt resist trying there raspberry cheese tarts. Delicious! I need one of these bakeries near me lol ill be back for a bubble tea next for sure. Really nice find in Asian town. They also have food entrees for lunch you can order. Please Note*** they are closed on Tuesday only.
I love the small Asian Bakeries. We dont have these where Im from. This place was suggested and did not disappoint. Large selection of pastries, buns, cookies and patties. The fruit tea is amazing. We didnt have the crazy line everyone speaks of but it was brisk business. Highly recommend a stop here, especially if youre just visiting.
Always very busy, but well worth the wait! The staff is quiet, but kind and quick. The food (buns and Boba) are excellent. I love driving out to Cleveland to go and eat there. Im very excited to try the actual bakery section too- if its anything like the buns, Im sure theyll be fabulous :)
Some of the best buns Ive had! A rival to any donut place out there. The Chai bubble tea was different then expected but still excellent. Best bobas!
The bubble tea here is the absolute best you can get in Cleveland! All the pastries and desserts are amazing, a must
We decided to stop since the Online reviews were good, but customer service was terrible! My daughter is allergic to kiwi, didnt realize this till the drink came, asked about it before she touched the cup, asked to replace it and they refused, allergy information should be obvious and wasn’t
I love koko bakery. I especially love the dry pork bun, but there are so many good buns here like the ham/turkey and egg buns, bacon and cheese buns, milk buns, so much good stuff I love this place.
This place is the bees knees. Gotta get there early before they sell our of the bakery items but its worth it. Good stuff at Koko!
Nice little spot, good lotus cakes, and they even have lunch options! Cheap, you get what you pay for. I dont know about the boba, but what I got I enjoyed.
The bubble smoothies are excellent. Other than that, not really my cup of tea as far as a bakery is concerned. I say that because it’s a really small cramped in space and I felt rushed as a new person going in. Just too many people in one tight space and my OCD kicked in. Just ordered the bubble smoothie, but I wanted more food but OCD kicked in and I had to get out of there FAST! I’m sure the other food is good, but the place is just too small.
This place is delicious and I love their boba tea. The bun taste amazing. I swear I go their like everyday for the bun. I a great place I recommend!!
Amazing Business & Customers. They serve every last person & so clean. And Has the best buns
Fresh fruit tea cup is the best! They also have a huge selection of buns, and their cakes look amazing!
I crave buns and boba from koko everyday! I live on the east side, but the 30 minute drive there is absolutely worth it. I bet if I ever go to china, the taste and atmosphere would be very similar to koko’s and I would feel right at home:)
Best bubble tea in Cleveland. Highly recommend the brown sugar milk tea
Good selection of Asian pastries and cakes. Also bubble teas and Korean shave ice.
Best bubble tea flavors and good food to snack on. Only negative mark is that they only cook food once a day so you have to be there early in the morning to get the best selection which sucks
Wonderful as always. Even under the health restrictions, wonderful service. Quick and delicious.
What an exceptional experience and delicious treat this place is!! I think this place will become my newest addiction. The cheese foam taste like cheese cake just wow!!
Great place Friendly. Would recommend going early in the day while selection is still large.
The bakery goods were delicious! The store felt a little tight though.
1st time here. Very nice place. They had the most visually stunning desserts I have ever seen.
The selection of pastries is amazing and I haven’t tried one yet that I didn’t like! Savory and sweet yummyness! My favorite thing is the Korean shaved ice with jellies and red beans.Very Covid safe and clean!
My favorite bubble tea place in Cleveland. There are many options of bubble tea. I would definitely recommend the drinks with cheese milk foam!! They also have a great selection of bread. My family loves this place!
Feels somewhere between an Asian and a Western dessert shop. Fails to be either and not in a good way. Sure, it feels like a novelty in a sparse Asian town.
Its the best just wish my green onion bun was there more often, its always sold out. x(
Love this place ❤ delicious teas 😋and homemade dessert 🍨
The fruit tea is amazing and addictive dessert omgosh...
Great food,drinks,desserts. Worth it.
Last time I was here it was a drink I did not like because there was milk in it this time I asked for no milk and they put milk so I asked if they could switch it out and she was rude as ever and told me no I have to buy a new one never again will I go here
Quick and tasty. Helpful and friendly staff.
My wife and I love this place. We try to stop by anytime we are downtown. Amazing drinks and buns.
Im glad I finally went to Koko Bakery today. Ive been missing Hippo Bakery ever since I moved, but Koko has most every type of pastry/ bread that Im regularly looking for in an Asian bakery. They also have a lunch menu currently featuring sandwiches and donburi, as well as Taiwanese sticky rice. Smoothies, bubble tea, ice cream and shaved ice with a good selection of toppings are also available. My sandwich was delicious and only $6.95; the sweet potato fries could have been crisper, but the flavor was on point; and the pastries are tasty and baked just right. In general the prices are cheaper than I would have expected, but the quality is still excellent. Koko Bakery wil definitely become a regular stop for me when Im in Midtown.
Their fresh fruit tea is soo good
Their cake is the best. Also love other stuff such as buns and bread loafs.
Seems to offer a lot of bubble teas or a variations of the same. The baked goods are good, but not a lot of variations that i see, otherwise it is a very nice shop.
I Love this place. Great variety of buns in the bakery cabinet. Pork bun, hot dog buns, sweet buns and more. I also love their lattes. I visit this location anytime I am working in their neighborhood
Cute little bakery with a large selection of goods. I mostly come for the buns and the bubble tea, although usually what I’m looking for is sold out. Great prices, friendly staff, very clean. I enjoy coming here for a quick bite and sweet treat.
Great baked goods! Great fruit tea!
One of my favorite spots in Cleveland! Amazing and affordable baked goods, classic Asian cuisine, and great bubble tea. Everyone is very kind and helpful, and Ive never had something there I didnt absolutely love.
Amazing food! Love the brown sugar milk tea and any of their buns. Get there before noon because after they are out of all most everything. Dont even try going after 3 if you want any buns. The drinks and dinners are still great so go for that in the afternoon.
Koko bakery is very nice.I gave it 5 stars. because besides being super cute and clean.I was able to get my daughter that turned 16 the cake she wanted. The cake was delicious, beautiful, and not super sweet just perfect. She also had a bubble tea which was amazing..They also have other bakery stuff and chairs and tables to sit down. While we where there a lot of people came in to buy their delicious desserts. Also some enjoy them at the bakery.Very good atmosphere. Here is a picture of the cake.
Delicious food! Delicious drinks! My absolute favorite place to go!
I went nuts buying today. They have all the Chinese bao bao AND shanghai rice roll AND excellent hong kong style tea AND much more! Additionally, the quality is excellent! Well worth the side trip and will surely come back.
Family favorite for boba and great pastries. Worth the 30 min drive!!!
Phenomenal Asian bakery that also serves food for lunch/dinner. Plenty of pastries to try that will keep you coming back. They also have awesome bubble tea and cheese milk drinks (sounds weird but think of it like a mango slushie with a salty butter beer like topping).
Such great boba and pastries!
The buns were delicious and they have some of the best coffee. my favorite bakery
I liked this bakery until today. I ordered a 6-Inch birthday cake over the phone yesterday. I arrived at the bakery and ready to pick it up today. Then, I realized this small 4-people size whipped cream cake with mixed fruit on top costed me $45 dollars. This is the most expansive cake I have heard. Total rip off!
Just amazing! Beautiful pastries all at great prices
Try their bubble tea, or any other dessert and you wont be disappointed. Ive tried many different stuff there and never disliked any of them. Price is good and taste is authentic Asian flavor--not super sweet.
They were very kind and excuse the picture I posted of their passion fruit custard it was so good I went in on it. They have delicious cream buns too they are so darn delicious everything I tried was really nice.
During Covid, I am staying home as lot, but was excited to get some baked goods and a tasty bubble tea.At 4:30pm, there were only two kinds of bread items in the large case on the left hand wall, with few pieces of each. Along the counter, there were less number of choices in the refrigerated case. I gots loaf of the coconut cream bread and a large tarp bubble tea.Now I may be biased because I was used to the taste and quality of the Kung Fu bubble tea at Kenko Sushi and Teriyaki in Kent, Ohio (I used to work there), I was NOT impressed by the watery and not-so-cold taro bubble tea at Koko’s. There weren’t much tapioca bubbles in the beverage either. The coconut cream bread was delicious. Moist, delicate and tasty. No complaints here. The only other side comment would be that the cashier was super unfriendly and my interaction was frustrating. I don’t think the women understood English well, because after trying to explain that I wanted to pay part of my bill in cash, and the rest on card, she just kept pointing to the card reader, clearly no intention of making an effort to understand what I was wanting to do.Frequently, in Asian food service establishments, the service is terse, direct to the point where it might seem almost unfriendly. That works for most of us, because all we want most of the time is quick, efficient transaction of food and service. But if the product selection is severely limited, and the quality of the bubble tea is compromised, AND an unfriendly cashier, I don’t know if there’s enough reasons to come back again for another unpleasant experience.I usually don’t write too many “bad” reviews, but this one was a noticeably bad day at Koko Bakery 🥺
Delicious treats you must try!
The BUBBLE TEA IS AMAZING!! OVER 20 FLAVORS, BAKERY SO FRESH AND ALL AFFORDABLE!!! A BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED BAKERY THAT WELCOMES YOU TO SIT AND ENJOY AS WELL. ALWAYS A SMILE ON MY FACE AS WELL AS THE CREATORS OF THE BEST ORIENTAL BAKERY IN THE CITY!!!
Came in during quarantine for the first time! I got a veggie and cheese bun, a taro filled bun, and a taro bubble tea. This was the best bubble tea I’ve ever had- I usually don’t like the boba but I drank it all! The prices are very very reasonable- I got two buns and a tea for a little over 5$. The buns were very delicious too, and the staff was friendly and welcoming, I had my service dog in training with me and they were great. I highly recommend this place!
If you like bubble tea? This place is for you. They have many great flavors plus they have Asian pastries n more. I highly recommend it.
Fun experience tasting desserts from an ethnic background different from mine. I like that they are less sweet. Some of them, particularly the cake rolls, are light, fluffy, and spongy. The green tea roll is really good. I also recommend the red bean roll. The dough is more like a flaky pie crust than a bread. I would give five stars if the place was cleaner.
Excellent bakery items. Good prices and great hours of operation.
Got the watermelon bubble tea and a strawberry smoothie, so good!! For a good price as well.
One of my favorites...their Taro Bun is the best Ive ever had. Also delicious bubble tea.
Friendly staff members. Fresh cake, puff pastries filled with beef, chicken, and pork curry. Variety of selections on bread and bubble teas. Moreover, they sell other meals too such as teriyaki chicken and all. I recommend everyone. Falling is love with this store.
The bubble Tea is great! And the Pastries are amazing! I will be a lifetime customer now! Staff is nice and there is free parking.
My favorite bubble tea shop in Cleveland. They have a great selection of buble teaa, and their bakery items are also very good.
A signature Cleveland hidden gem in the citys Asiatown neighborhood. The best bubble tea in town and a great variety of very tasty bakery items, catering to just about every taste preference. Prices are very fair, especially for a bakery located in a major metro area. Always a worthwhile stop.
I’m not complaining about the food. The food is good; but when my niece ordered a drink and changed her mind, she made it very clear what she wanted, they still made the original drink. I don’t mind the mistake. It was just a mistake but the employee said b@&ch in Chinese when she politely asked them to change the drink not knowing that my niece can speak Chinese. We quietly left.
Unexpected find on Christmas afternoon after dropping friends off at the airport and looking for open coffee shops for a latte before going home. The pastries and buns looked beautiful, but we didnt get any this time. Will be back. It was busy but the workers all had smiles for customers.
Delightful ❤️
Hands down, best bubble tea in town! The ham or turkey with egg sandwiches are such a killer treat if you are hungry and in a hurry! The artisan desserts are not only beautiful they are delicious. Did I say I loved the mango bubble tea?
I happened to be in town during a weekday and got there before 9a and I wasnt the first waiting for them to open. They are popular! The owners daughter (i guess) was super nice and she even made the bread i want when it wasnt among the first batch on their shelf.
I have been going to Koko Bakery for almost ten years now, and I love it. Its been wonderful watching them grow from old fashioned poster menus on the walls to screen menus and get recognition with our local news. I personally love getting the buns and bubble tea the most, but everything Ive ever had there has been delicious. Attached I have a picture of the buns, and I will try to add some of the pastries and cakes later. They also have steamed hot buns, bowls (like teriyaki and rice) and coffee, smoothies, cakes, breads, cookies and more. We got one of their mango fruit cakes for my graduation years ago and it was the best cake Id ever had! The whole family loved it. I have taken so many friends and family here, and will continue to be a customer for as long as theyre in business.
