Best mom and pop coffee shop in Cleveland! The coffee is amazing and if it is not on the menu they will make it for you! The owner James goes above and beyond to make sure you leave with a smile on your face. Great service from all employees. I would recommend this shop to everyone in Cleveland or just in visiting!
Very small place downtown, but their coffee is great! First time going there and I got the maple pecan latte with almond milk (fall flavors) Great balance with all the flavors. Will absolutely go back
Fantastic coffee & great community. Taste beats any coffee shop Ive had downtown
Delicious drinks! If youre not sure what youre in the mood for, they make great recommendations. The hype is deserved!
Best place ever staff in amazing owner James is such a great guy the coffee is amazing very fun place to get coffee from
Amazing coffee.... Even better customer service. Thank you
Maple pecan latte is so good. Finally found the best cafe in Cleveland.
Fantastic service. The staff bent over backwards to alter a drink to where I could enjoy a new beverage despite my many allergies. The alternative I was given tasted amazing!
Great espresso for a good price. The people who work there are so welcoming and friendly. Very limited seating if youre coming in from the street, but no big deal.
Super low key coffee shop. James the owner is friendly and full of cool information. Great place to grab a coffee at a good price.
The batista and owner here is absolutely wonderful. One of the most talented batistas Ive ever met and Ive been to coffee shops all across the US.
What a wonderful find! My only wish was that I found this place sooner! The coffee shop is just as cute as can be but keep note this isn’t where all of the college kids hang out, I mean they can but there’s two chairs in the whole place.James was the amazing barista that took care of me. I didn’t know what I wanted and he started asking questions and with a flip of a coin (literally) he came up with the most delicious cup of coffee! I had the White Girl Latte and it was delicious and not bitter! I loved that he gave me a college discount (paid for my parking ticket I got for being a minute late—another story). The prices was not Starbucks prices at all, I got my medium coffee for $3.25. Seriously, how great is that?!I’m very happy with this coffee and I’ll be back for sure! I’ve told everyone I’ve met about how amazing the coffee is! Don’t believe me, well now it’s your turn to try it!
This is my favorite establishment in the city of Cleveland. First off, the coffee is the best Ive ever had at a price that is much lower than any other competitor. The drinks are personalized to your liking. Each cup is a work of art. But beyond the coffee, this place is a hub for engaging conversation and new ideas. Ive never felt a more inviting atmosphere.
The owners are awesome to chat with; great little coffee shop thats easy to miss it you were passing by quickly. Definitely worth a stop inside and they have an excellent coffee selection and very reasonable prices! ☕
Very low key and easy to miss mom and pop coffee shop. For being at the heart of downtown cleveland it is extremely cheap but very good coffee. It’s about half the price of Starbucks while also being twice as good as well as having extremely friendly staff who gave great customer service. 10/10 would recommend for anyone to try out this place.
I haven’t been here in a long time. I used to come every day when I worked nearby. I since have moved to Columbus, OH and then to California, but I still talk about how this place was my all time favorite coffee shop! Ever.
As someone who wouldnt touch a cup of coffee not too long ago, after my first visit to The Copper Moon nearly 2 years ago, I realized that the issue was the fact the coffee I had before just didnt compare to anything I had here.James, the owner and barista, is always able to provide something new and refreshing that youre sure to enjoy every single time. Even if youre like me, and have no idea what you want to drink when you walk in, James is able to craft something that your taste buds never knew they needed. To me, The Copper Moon has been a 10/10 experience every single time Ive walked in for 2 years now, and I doubt that will ever change.
Friendly and helpful service! DELICIOUS coffee!
The service was excellent and the latte I had was delicious. Great place to stop by and grab a coffee! Excellent prices, too!
This is the absolute BEST coffee shop in downtown Cleveland. Small, quaint, extremely personable. This is the place. This is where real coffee drinkers go. I have never loved coffee until The Copper Moon.
Coffee is great and so are the prices! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. If you arent a coffee drinker or dont know what you want to order, they are able to ask you questions about what flavors you like, how much caffeine you want, sugar/no sugar, dairy/no dairy, etc. and make you the perfect drink! LOVE this place and I recommend it to everyone!
Best coffee shop Ive been to. No fake or artificial ingredients. I always get a smoothie or a hot cocoa and its always fresh and tastes amazing. James is a great guy and you can see his passion for his shop and he cares for his customers. There is so much more I can say but you get my point. I would give more stars but its not an option.
The guys here know what theyre doing. They make quality coffee and real tasty milkshakes.
Wow. If you like coffee and don’t need to sit down then this is the place for you. It’s tiny and I mean tiny. Don’t come thinking you’ll get the ‘coffee shop experience’ with comfy chairs etc. do come if you like coffee made by guys that known what they are doing. It’s not expensive either. No food available.
The German Chocolate blended drink was amazing and my new favorite Blended drink from any coffee shop Ive ever visited and the staff was amazing and FriendlyI look forward to my next visit and the next recommendation James has for a drink
Cool place. The owner is the hardest working brain cell when it comes to coffee.
A small coffee joint that offers some unique coffee Bevs. The barrista the time I picked up coffees was memorably personable and the place had a great, genuine vibe. I ordered a Spanish latte and it was awesome.
Neither patrons nor barista wore a mask so we turned around and left. Not worth dying for a cup of coffee. Edit in response to owners response: When I was there, the barista was at the counter, talking with a customer. Neither was masked. No one was actively drinking anything. So no, not good enough.
Handcrafted drinks to your specifications - made especially for you with you in mind. He takes his time to make sure you get what youre craving - including the sweetness level and caffeine or crack need. This is not a snooty coffee shop atmosphere - this is a little gem with a friendly face that loves (and is good at) what he does.
Also have a great experience when going here. The outgoing, friendly owners and staff always deliver delicious drinks. I cant say enough good things about this place!
I travel 20 minutes to get coffee here. Best cup of coffee.
Good coffee, good people, good pup-cups.
Friendly, quirky service. Delicious, unique drink menu.
James (the owner) is awesome! Sometimes you have to wait for a while but its worth it. This guy is passionate about coffee and you can tell. In the summer grab some tasty lemonade with a little crack, or some ice cream.
The coffee here is simply amazing. I was unsure of what I wanted to order and the owner asked me a line of questions to craft a perfect beverage. It was the perfect blend of taste, smoothness, and caffeine.
Great coffee, quick and lovely service
James is a true artisan. He can make any drink happen. From coffee, tea and even milkshakes they can do it all here. My favorite drink is the banas foster. It can take a hot minute since each drink is handcrafted by one to two people. If youre worried about time look at the app Ritual and it can order before you arrive. They have a really unique atmosphere, just enough seats for two people. The drinks are amazing. Go there!
Heads up this location is very small and does not abide by the 6 foot rule nor requires people inside to wear masks.
I was driving from Nebraska to New Hampshire. The Copper Moon made my stop in Cleveland totally worth it! Great coffee made by a great barista, and in a surprisingly low price. I had probably one of my best pour overs there.
Amazing company, high quality coffee. Love these people!
If you like coffee thats the place
Great coffee and well priced, best shop in playhouse square!
The barista there was very friendly and as soon as we walked in the atmosphere was very inviting. Great coffee and a must see if you’re in cleveland!
Great pick me up
Stopped by whilst visiting from out of town. I really enjoyed talking with James!
My wife and I are quite picky about coffee. We usually drink chains such as, Dunkin, Speedway, Starbucks. This place has great coffee and the guy that works there is really nice as well.
Excellent small coffee shop. The barista, James, was very friendly. Wasnt sure what I wanted, so he asked me a few questions, and then brewed me a coffee! It was excellent (a Cuban americano I believe). Very easy to talk to; told me a little about the city since Im from out of state. Highly recommend!
I couldnt ask for a better place to start my morning. The coffee is phenomenal and the service is even better. James, his team and the coffee are worth coming back every day to!
I come from Alaska where coffee is a big deal and since Ive relocated to Ohio I have not found a good place to have coffee. I was looking around and saw this place online and thought Id give it a try since I work in the area. I dont say this often but the Copper Moon gave me a cup of coffee that was almost as good as what I get back home. The prices are amazing and the staff is super friendly. I ordered my normal 6 shot iced Mocha and aside from a little astonishment at the fact I was drinking 6 shots of espresso, the staff made it for me without complaint. They even gave it to me in 2 glasses so as to keep the ratios right. I will be coming back to this shop every time I have an excuse to be in Cleveland.
To answer the first question, yes, the coffe is great. But thats not why you go to Copper Moon. You go to Copper Moon because James has personality. From your time waiting in line, until you start drinking what greatness you are about to drink, you are engaged in great conversation. My only regret when walking in, is that I have to go back to work, and cant just hang out.
The barista was helpful and patient and offered suggestions when I wasnt sure what I wanted. Coffee tasted fresh and strong despite the later hour I arrived.
Favorite place to go for coffee in downtown Cleveland! Great coffee and reasonable prices!
The coffee is fantastic, the service is even better. Its a tiny shop but perfect for grabbin jo to go! Very affordable as well!Great coffee, great smoothies, and a ton of heart put in to their beverages. What more could you want?
Freezing today. Needed coffee. Found this on yelp. So good! The Vanilla bean macchiato, to die for! Peach green tea really good too. Prices reasonable! Coffee shop is inside the building, when I didnt see it from the street, I thought it had closed down. The person behind the counter super nice and really fast. Will be back tomorrow!
Just amazing coffee at an amazing price. James clearly loves what he does and is not only knowledgeable but just wonderful to talk to. As a person who claims to be a coffee snob Copper Moon stands out from the pack. Do yourself a favor and wander in. Youll never go anywhere else.
James is the best. Hands down. No questions. If you want a great coffee done perfectly Copper Moon is the only place downtown to go. Also, James and those he hires are amazing people who genuinely care about every customer.
Really good drinks that are very well priced. Great spot to wet the whistle that really seems to be going places. You can buy your friends a drink without going broke!
Literally the best coffee & coffee related drinks I have ever had in my life.
Fantastic coffee. Excellent prices. Id give it 10 out of 5 stars if i could.
Had a good experience. Was a little nervous about ordering because of how simple a menu they had and how picky of a coffee drinker I tend to be, but I loved what I ordered and it was lovely drinking it while wandering around the shops of the area.
Really great coffee and an amazing owner. James is a really good guy that loves his craft, is passionate about coffee, and makes friends with everyone he meets. This is my favorite coffee shop in Cleveland and I can not recommend it enough.
This place is like none other and second to none! If you havent been you should! Its like Heaven in a cup!
Best coffee shop in town when it comes to variety. Have it made any way you like. Its always made to perfection and super affordable when you compare it to the other guys. Youll want to try everything on the menu at least once.
Their iced coffee is strong and super smooth - the best and cheapest in the city. Im also in love with their Lavender Lemonade. Definitely a hidden gem.
Great, hand crafted coffee drinks, and super friendly service. The owner knows regulars by name, and creates their own special menu items for them. Love the counter top made out of pennies, too!
This is quite possibly the best coffee experience Ive ever had. After showing up for only about a week, James knows who I am and speaks to me like an old friend. The coffee is incredible, too - just as good, if not better, than Pour Cleveland just down the road. If you can track down his counter, its WELL WORTH the stop. And if you have the time to wait for it, get a cafe au lait. :)
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! staff is very nice and helpful, prices are amazing and coffee is delicious! definitely recommend
My absolute favorite coffee in Cle!!They definitely know what theyre doing, never skimp on quality, and their prices are extremely reasonable! I typically get a medium americano and it is the only place where it doesnt seem watery (without asking for additional espresso shots...) and the actual flavor of the espresso is incredible.Dont see what you want? Just ask for it!! Theyll be able to make it for you. There are always seasonal options too! Dont skip the whipped cream... they make it themselves! Definitely worth the calories, if youre worried about that kind of thing. The milkshakes and smoothies are also delicious!!During prime time (after lunch) it can get crowded and take a while (there are usually 2 baristas) so plan for that! The wait is worth it though! I typically try to go during off times if I can.10/10 reccomend!!
The best coffee in down town!
Great coffee/espresso and owner. Very helpful, can make anything however you want or help decide on an option. L
Cool little coffee shop
Best tasting coffee in town. Its a blast watching peoples facial expressions when giving them directions and I arrive at then walk into the apartment building.
James is the man! He is personable and loves what he does for a living. Great coffee too! Worth the wait!
Great small coffee shop. Well worth going to .
Amazing coffee and espresso done right
Amazing place! My favorite coffee shop in Cleveland! Everything is fresh and hand made! It’s amazing!
Been a year since I posted my review, so heres an update. I visit this place weekly and I rarely order the same thing twice. I have yet to be disappointed by my drink.Attached an image of my Mocha I got today; it has a German chocolate swirl and a caramel swirl along with some house made whip cream (which should be considered the ambrosia of whip creams, so freaking GOOD!). Flavor profile was sweet, smooth, and extremely satisfying. If you can resist the primal urge to devour the whip cream topping like the savage rat-race-warrior that you are, within a few minutes it will melt adding another level of taste bud ecstasy to your morning beverage. The shop front was recently moved to a different area of the building they reside in, so if you havent been there for a while you should go back and check, chat, and get a drink.
The best coffee in Downtown Cleveland... Starbucks does not even compare. I love it here wouldnt trade Copper Moon for any other coffee place. Cant forget the friendly great vibes
James is a true artisan!
Always so friendly and never get the same thing twice james is so creative and the ice cream is TO DIE FOR!!!
I love the coffee, lattes, and hot chocolate.
Best Espresso bar on the planet.
Small coffee shop serving delicious coffee ☕️
Hard to find for a tourist, but worth it. Super friendly people and the coffee and home made granola were great . Pricey
I work just a stones throw away so I am here more often than not. Beyond the great talk and good vibes, I particularly like that the coffee is always strong enough to make me astral project at work.
Hands down the best coffee in the greater Cleveland area. James is the best.
Genuinely enjoy this coffee shop. The owner makes great lattes, and is very good with suggestions. The shop is a little out of the way, but very worth the stop.
Nice folks. Good luck in North Carolina...
James is the best high fiver around!
If you want a coffee shop that cares about quality and personal service without needing to go to the hipster cafes. This is for you. Copper moon is and will always be my favorite shop.
Better quality than most of coffee shops around it but with far cheaper price. The hospitality over here is another reason why you would come back.
Great coffee and service!
Excellent coffee! James (owner and barista) has a huge personality and loves what he does. The cafe is currently tucked away inside of an apartment building on the main floor so its easy to miss unless you know its there. James is great at tweaking and customizing a drink to fit your caffeine need and flavor interests that day. He doesnt throw away the extra, hes given me an extra medium before because he made too much and thats also how I tried it the first time when my coworkers got an extra affogato( no idea if Im spelling that right). The prices are reasonable especially if you consider that its probably one of the best coffee shops in Cleveland. Things Ive had is the lavender lemonade, affogato (sp?) Which is soft serve icecream in a couple shots of espresso, a black tea of some kind, frappes, lattes, and the Americano. I love to get extra espresso because the flavor is amazing.Im slowly taking everyone at work there at least once and most people end up taking others. I pretty much just expect to go there around 3 times a week when I lay out my budget.I generally am not overly enthusiastic about things but this place is worth checking out.
One of the best coffee shops in Cleveland. Try the Golden Chai-- fresh ginger and tumeric will cure whatever ails you.
James is a really nice business owner.
Owner is super nice, The Old Fashioned is best coffee ever!
The best coffee in northeast Ohio!
