I feel great about my experience with Voelker! My beloved MacBookPro stopped working yesterday. I went in this morning. They were kind and communicative, knew right away what was wrongs. Fixed it on the spot and even gave me a discount. No more big box stores for me! Thank you Voelker.

This keeps showing up as 4.6 stars when Im ready to post my review, even though Im clicking on FIVE STARS! I have no idea why this is happening. But anyway, Voelker Research is an awesome place for computer problems! They are incredibly knowledgable and helpful and very reasonably priced for all the services they offer. They replaced a hard drive on my MacBook Pro in no time. And James has helped me with so many technical questions since then. I would not go anywhere else!

Amazing support help by the staff. They know what they are doing and guide you through the entire process. Rich went over and above what was required. I highly recommend them for sales and service!

I took my 2015 macbook pro in for a broken display. Turned out there were deeper issues with the computer that meant the process took longer, but James communicated with me throughout the whole process so I knew exactly what was going on, Voelker gave me a laptop to use in the meantime, and in the end it was the best result with minimal inconvenience.

Ill make this short and sweet. This company deserves this 5 Star review due to how they picked up a fumble, therefore winning a client for life. Their works was spot on and there damage control was even better. Perfection is not a human trait, but treating people as youd like to be treated is a trait I find invaluable!

Very fancy looking place. The saleswoman even referred me to another store to get me help with my HPFYI they only work on Apple products here.

I purchased an iPad and plug from this store. Everyone I dealt with there was very professional. Then I had to return my purchase the following day and even though it was on consignment they accepted my return and provided a full refund, even though they didnt have to. I recommend doing business with this local shop.

My older sister in Michigan was shamed and humiliated to the point of tears in front of a friend by her computer service people. Im thankful to say that my experience with the competent and friendly folks at Volker Research consistently proves to be just the opposite. Highly recommended.

This is a strange review because I’ve never used Voelker as a business, BUT the owners happened to be in the same small town as my partner and I when our car got totaled. We were miles from the nearest hotel and preparing to walk in 20 degree weather. The owners of Voelker overheard the hotel clerk talking with us about our situation and volunteered to come pick us up from the truck stop at the edge of town. They arrived with masks on and such kindness and generosity towards our situation. Our experience that night would have been very different without them. So while I can’t attest to their skill at Mac repair, I can tell you that the owners are two wonderful people. I will drive hours to their shop next time my computer breaks.

Very impressed. I took my 2011 MacBook to the Apple Briargate store. They said the hard drive was failing but it was too old for them to work on. They gave me the contact number for voelker research and said that these guys were very good and could definitely help me. I left a message for them on their website and they called me promptly and set up a date to bring it in. I brought it in 2/16 and got it back 2/22- such a quick turn around time. My MacBook wouldn’t even turn on prior to me bringing it to them. I had a white screen of death. They put in a new, bigger, hard drive and saved all my stuff from my old failed hard drive on to it. I turned on my MacBook and it was like new again! All my photos, documents, videos and more were all sitting there as normal. I thought I had lost everything. The staff was so communicative on what was wrong with my system, what they could do, how much it would cost and more. A new MacBook would of cost me $1500-2000 but they repaired mine for $320! We are shocked. It is like a brand new computer again and I’m so thankful. I highly recommend this place! Their storefront is very neat and tidy too. Thanks a million!

Just bought a new Macbook Pro and Rich and his crew were amazing in their customer service. From choosing a model to making sure everything was set up and running properly, they couldnt have done better. Fast response to questions. I felt like I was their only and most important customer. Short and rude on the phone...I felt like I was intruding on them and a real pain in the neck...tech was impatient with my daughter. I bought my lap top there, but wont go back...took it into service with another company that was much more polite and customer oriented and welcomed me.

These guys have been around for ever. And I have used them off and on any time I have a problem that I dont feel like dealing with. They are they only ones who will service legacy Apple products. I have taken two laptops here before. I paid $50 a piece for an expert to tell me each one will cost more than the laptop is worth to get it fixed. Waste of $100. Apple parts are so expensive most times it is not worth getting fixed. Save yourself the $50 fee they charge just to tell you that.

Dropped off my MacBook to have the keyboard replaced, only to find out it was not eligible for the Apple program I thought it was supposed to be covered under. They told me it would be over $600 to repair the keyboard, and when I declined the repair, they charged me $50 to pick up my own computer. No disclosure about eligibility requirements, no disclosure about the potential costs, and no word at all about the exorbitant fee for declining the work and reclaiming my own property after they did nothing at all.Will never give them my business, will discourage every Apple owner I know from ever coming here.

Why would you go to a big box store? SERVICE is great. The OWNER spent over an hour TWICE discovering our needs and wants. Made suggestions so we didn’t get what we did not need and did order what we wanted.Relaxed, informative, WOW!Service department has helped us over the last 9 years and that’s why we to buy as well.A bright spot is a world devoid of people only wanting to sell. Great service for FFl transfer! Best in the town by far. Your package does not sit around they almost always call and email the day the package arrives (unless it is delivered late in the day). Professional friendly service is what I have received each and every time I have been in.

Absolutely amazing top notch service! Went to the Apple store, waited forever for my appointment, and in the end the Apple store actually recommended me to Voelker Research! Rich took a good 20-30 minutes out of his day to explain to me the scenarios that it could be and then attempted to fix my daughters MacBook without having to charge me for anything. Great authorized mac experts! I broke a part on my macbook air and needed to get it fixed.Ive gone to the apple store before but booking an appointment just to get the privilege of talking to someone who makes you wait 30 more minutes just to get to talk to the person who can actually help isnt my cup of tea. No appointment needed! I walked in with a Mac Book Pro and was seen by a qualified technician in less than 1 minute. The tech diagnosed the issue and I was on my way with a fully functional Mac Book Pro in less than 15 minutes. Great customer service and parts are equally priced. There is also a great selection of used Apple products that look brand new.

Rich and Bob have sold, serviced, and recycled my Macs for 24 years. Extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and infinitely patient with my hand-wringing and endless questions. The people at Voekler are totally awesome. Great to work with, unbelievably knowledgeable and they have never let me down. Had an issue with a 2 year old MacBook Pro. Called Voelker Research-Ive been down that road of waiting for 1 1/2-2 hours at the Apple Store-and they saw me as soon as I walked in the door. A tech by the name of Damon was very attentive. They diagnosed the issue, which was relatively minor. They had the part that I needed, it was installed and tested, and I was finished inside of 10 minutes. I might add that the woman (sorry that I did not get her name) who handles the telephone duties is very pleasant and picks up the phone very quickly. It was encouraging to see this type of customer service in this day and age.

The best Mac sales and service ever, anywhere, period. Long history of providing solid answers and proactive strategies for you to get the most from your current machine, and move into new models. This is a local business that is off the charts great.

Went in for a simple broken key on an older MacBook Pro, and they were able to replace it using a key from a scrap-computer in back. Took less than two minutes! Meanwhile, four other customers came into the store individually, and I noticed that all four were assisted immediately! I was very impressed with the service, and customer care, and this will be my go-to repair shop from now on.

Blown away with the extreme quick turn around and fair price. My repair only cost 49 dollars and has my inoperable imac up and running. AWESOME! They even loaded in in my car and wiped it down for finger prints before leaving. Felt like the white glove treatment and it was appreciated. A++

I will never be going back to the Apple store for repairs, after doing buisness with this supurb company. I cracked my Macbook Pro 15 inch accidentally, luckily had Apple Care+. It was going to take about 6 days to get an appointment at the Apple store near me, so I tried this buisness out. Wow is all I can say, from a nasty screen break, they repaired it flawlessly, and within 3 days!!!! This could have easily tooken 2 weeks or more going to the Apple store. The folks at this buisness are MUCH more technical than the Apple geniuses at the offical Apple store. Not to brag or anything, but as a software engineer at one of the bigger tech comapnies in town, I highly recommend this place. I will using this service from here on out for all of my Apple products. They are certified in Apple device repairs, just to add to it all. I would give this place over 5 stars.

Great customer service on phone and in person, traveled 2 hours from New Mexico to leave computer for repair. Once tech was able to start on it found problem called me to tell me how much cost of repair would be before actually starting repairs.Would highly recommend Voelker Research.

These guys are great! Ive used them for years. I have a late model 2011 MacBook Pro, had a number of problems (still might - my screen might be going) but they have spent a LOT of time, gave me a loaner with my Hard drive in it, take time to explain, even demonstrate whats going on with my machine... WAY more than the alleged geniuses up north! Each time Im there, I feel I get a free tutorial hands on lesson from them. And, the price is always low - sometimes I wonder how they make any profit. This is a real gem for Apple folks here in Colorado!!

I went to several repair shops before stopping by Voelker Research so I could get my MacBook Pro pro. I even went to Apple, and while it seems they knew what was wrong, they were definitely ripping me off. These guys charged waaayyy less than what Apple was and it was working in no time. Reliable, honest, and definitely knowledgeable in their work.

Took my six-year-old MacBook Pro to Voelker to have the crashed hard drive replaced. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. I took it in Monday and they had it done by Friday morning. Would definitely recommend for any MacBook needs.

Had to get a new battery. Fast, friendly and know what they are doing!! So very reasonable too.

Great service.My 2011 MacBook Pro went on the fritz. I took it to Voelker Research and the problem was diagnosed swiftly. They worked with Apple to get my particular issue resolved. They are friendly and talk you through the steps that are necessary to fix the problem. Total down time (not including a weekend) was about 3 days- which was waiting for the replacement parts to be shipped. They treated my issue as a priority and fixed my machine the day the part arrived to their shop. Local, dedicated, skilled and friendly.

I have received service, repair and advice from Voelker Research dating back to the mid 1980s. They are simply the best, most honest, customer – centered business Ive ever dealt with.

My iMac had a rare problem with the software. It took their team five days to figure it out and not because they dont know what they are doing. It was just a rare problem that required an extensive correction. I expected the bill to be absolutely huge. I was shocked to find my bill was only $96 for a software repair. This is the 5th iMac Ive had Voelker work on and each experience has been perfect. I also bought an iMac from them from the consignment section and a new laptop charger because my dog ate mine. They are absolutely wonderful and I cannot say enough good things. If you have Mac products this place should be your go to!

The service i received was not helpful at all. An employee there by the name of Jame Enyart is the worst employee there and wasnt helpful at all. I suspect the man might also be a racist and I warn you all not to go to him. Everyone else was nice and helpful except Jame Enyart.

Originally I was off to a great start with this company. They guided me on how to recover some files from a broken hard drive which I will be forever grateful for but when I brought the computer back to them to have the hard drive replaced I was told it was going to be at 24 hour turnaround on getting my computer back. Great, no issues there. I dropped it off in the middle of the day on a Thursday with the expectation of picking it up by close of business on Friday. When I called Friday at 3:20 I was told at my computer hadn’t even been looked at yet but should be up next on the bench. Ok, there was still 2 1/2 hours left in the business day and from what I am tracking from the Apple store, swapping out the hard drive should not take very long. (I had originally intended on the Apple Store doing this replacement because they do it same day hard drive replacements, should’ve trusted my instincts and just paid the extra $30). So I was still optimistic that it would be done by COB. With 30 minutes left in the business day I had to once again call to find out the status and to my disappointment I found out that it would not be fixed today and on top of that they do not work on weekends so I cannot get my computer until Monday now. The reason given was because they were having some difficulty loading the operating system onto the new hard drive because the software loader broke?? I understand things happen but why was it not until the end of the day that this was discovered? We’re talking a very simple job they could’ve been done relatively quickly but because they didn’t find the issue until it was too late in the day now a 30 minute bench job turns into me being without my computer for four days. Extremely frustrated at the lack of communication and effort on their part. It pains me to write such a negative review after reading all of the other reviews. I guess Friday the 13th really is a bad day.

I went to the Apple Store in Briargate to buy software. Saleslady was rude and I left empty handed. A friend recommended Voelker Research and I went in and got intelligent and helpful advice from Matt and went away a happy customer. Their techs look like relatives of the Lone Gunmen. I will be shopping at Voelker Research for all my Mac needs in future.

I highly recommend these guys when Apple cant/wont fix your equipment. I had an iMac with a screen issue and an iPhone 6 with a microphone problem. In both instances Apple said they would have to replace either the whole device (in the case of the iPhone), or a much larger component (whole motherboard instead of the specific broken part on the iMac), both of which would have cost a lot of money. Voelker was able to repair both items for me in a timely manner at a minimum of cost. Thanks for the great work!

Great place for Mac related issues. Broke a key on our macbook circa 1999. They went digging for it in the back and fixed it with no charge. We will be looking here when it comes time for the next mac purchase.

My 9-year old MacBook Pro still runs great, but unfortunately the battery started going bad and was expanding. It became apparent once the battery expanded enough to put pressure on the trackpad. After conducting brief research on local companies, Voelker was the clear choice.I initially called and learned a new batch of batteries was on order, but it would be 4-5 business days. I opted to bring the laptop in and have the battery removed in the meantime, so it would not keep expanding inside of the machine. Within 5 minutes they removed the battery and reserved one of the incoming batteries for me. As soon as the batteries arrrived, Voelker called me twice (I didn’t hear the phone the first time) to inform me. I immediately went to their shop and they replaced the battery within 15 minutes. They also tested it, and then cleaned my computer thoroughly (which was great, because it was embarrasingly dirty when I brought it in). The new battery functions perfectly and has a noticeably longer battery life.Overall, these guys provide great, quick service at a very reasonable price. Rest assured that Voelker is reputable and knows what they’re doing. A+ service!

This place is ridiculous. I called to ask if they could work on a water damaged Mac, and the lady I spoke with made a big deal about bringing it in ASAP because the water damage could corrode the inside. So I brought it in. When I got there I was told that their waiting list for repairs was over a week long.. but I could bump up to the top of the list for $200. Shoddy practices. Instead of wasting both my time and their time they could have just told me the wait was long and I could’ve brought my computer elsewhere.

Lack of communication in the computer repair service process was frustrating. I was never given any estimates on how long it would take. After a week of no news I called to find out they hadnt even touch it. I took it somewhere else with better service.

Had my RAM upgraded in my 2011 MacBook Pro. A little pricey compared to online retail, but included installation as I waited. It took about 20 minutes for them to install my RAM and I walked out with a snappier MacBook with warrantied parts from a local vendor. Worth the upcharge. Also, the receptionist has an awesome old school dinosaur keyboard on the POS terminal (point of sale terminal; sorry, I can see where that caused some confusion). Cool.

My go to place for my MAC...Wish I had purchased my MAC from them! I found them after the DISASTEROUS experiwnce with the slick big store at Briergate...yuck! If you want people who care about a quality customer relationship...knowledgable staff...good service...these people go out of there way to deliver it...
