Highly recommend this professional business that has an expert violin (strings) repair service. Mijares was very helpful, very kind, and knowledgeable, he can answer all of your questions about your instrument. He repared my violin, the neck broke off, he also addressed my concerns with sound. He repaired it quickly, and perfectly! Shop is tucked in off Tejon, a bit of a tight fit for a full-size truck (probably worse cause of ice/snow) but managable, and the shop is really cool when you go in with instruments lining the walls, (singing decor ;) absolutely love it. I had bought a really cheap Chinese electrical cello with the intention of being able to practice quietly without waking my family during the night. The bridge was too high, and the bow in the fingerboard was too deep. Juan spent a lot of time talking possibilities with me, and we worked to a good compromise on playability and sound on a relatively cheap instrument, and given the time investment he put in (and pleasant conversation while he worked), he gave me an unbelievably reasonable price for his labor.There arent a lot of luthiers in Colorado Springs who specialize in classical instruments; its fortunate that we have one just downtown who is so skilled and professional.

Excellent violin shop. It has the feel of a European grotto. Excellent customer service and expertise. I was very impressed. Finding the entrance was a challenge but well worth the effort.
