Lousy customer service i will never go back and would never recommend this place to anyone the woman who served me has a lousy attitude. Apparently owner is a psychic and doesnt realize the issue here is costumer service and nasty attitude towards some costumer. If youre not from the Jewish community they dont give you a decent experience.

My favorite shop in Columbia. They have everything I need from fresh bread or halal meats. Although sometimes they have late shipments which builds and inconvenience for our family and meal preps. Ali is so nice and the store is super clean and well stocked.

Metin provides excellent service and a good value for Turkish and Middle Eastern groceries. I would highly recommend Nazar Market for groceries and fresh and clean halal meat.

Im all about finding great markets to go to. Tried out this awesome Turkish store. Literally bought a whole box of stuff amazing. Nicely stacked shelves wonderful staff. I believe the lady who checked us out today owns the place she was so lovely. Great place to get seeds!

Nazar Market is one of the cleanest markets around. It is owned and run by a great family. Shelves are packed with highest quality international(mostly Turkish) food. There is a wide range from different kinds of grains to spices and dairy products. It has been a spot I stop by every other week for the last 5 years.

Their meats are always fresh and cut to your specifications.

The owners of the store are very welcoming. The variety of products is very good. There is also homemade manti which is very delicious. I really recommend you to visit this store and taste the Turkish brands. You will be addicted to them:)

One of my favorite local stores... warm welcoming with smile, shelfs full with delicious products that you cant find anywhere else, variety of fresh european cheese, delicious turkish bread that goes out shortly after its received, seasonal fruits, a butcher that will explain the available meats of the day and will cut and prepare exactly what you want.... so many little things along with the personal touch that make me so excited every time I go there.

Everything is neat, clean & convenient to find. Prices are reasonable too, maybe a dollar or two more but worth it.

I’ve been a resident of Columbia MD for well over a decade and enjoy the environment. I found Nazar Market by accident and what a joy.I discovered a world of new, exciting and delicious food items . It felt like a warm inviting neighborhood market that I imagine you’d find in Turkey. I’ve yet to experience the streets of Turkey but it seemed like it would be very similar. They even have a small in house butcher providing clean meat offerings delivered twice a week.I’ve only scratched the surface of what they have to offer so my tastebuds continue their journey....Just for the record I don’t normally write reviews but there’s always an exception... enjoy

Very clean, very organized family owned international market. Great products, special beans, rice, herbs, cookies, flough dough, boreks, baklava, manti ( special turkish hand made pasta stuffed with ground meat) Turkish coffee, tea, pickles, and more..if you are looking for different but delicious foods, go their. Prices are very reasonable and owner is one of the kindest person you will ever meet. She is very friendly and helpful. She can even share some recipes with you and can teach how to make Turkish coffe and tea. Kosher meat is also delicious. Worth to try.

I love the store and they have So much good stuff

I mostly go for the fresh feta in brine and their olives, so I cant comment much on their wares but those two foods are enough to keep me coming back on special trips, as well as how lovely the owners/shopkeepers are! When they ask you how youre doing, they actually mean it. I feel warm and fuzzy inside every time I leave the store. ^_^

This is my second time going to the store . First time it was a male. I believe it was the owner and second time today was the wife and both times they did not greet us. I am from Ethiopia and uses spices and usually go to Indian store but looking at the reviews, I wanted to try a second time and see if this time it will be better but it was not. Very disappointed

I visited nazar Market last week and I was amazed by the atmosphere of store specially when I meet this guy butcher his name is Ali he is such a talented butcher he is very clean in his work cleans the meat so well and above all he is a very honest person he explained me the meat he has and he was very friendly the store is full of lot of exciting grocery I was very happy I will go again to this store

I love their sausage collection. Laziz Sausage is out of this world.

If youre looking for ingredients to use in any Middle Eastern dish, I highly recommend visiting this shop. I wont go anywhere else for tahini, pomegranate molasses, ful mudammas or feta cheese (French feta in brine!). They also offer a good selection of Middle Eastern candies, cookies, dried fruits and drinks.

I am a regular customer of nazar market. Moved to columbia few years ago and and have been my favourite store for meat and grocery. The butcher Mr. Ali is a great guy. He cuts the meat so clean and keep the premesis very clean. He is always responsive. He takes great care of his customers. Very impressed by his skills and customer service. Have been to many meat stores before but not have seen anybody like Ali who cuts the meat so cleanly.Very Much impressed with him.

Last summer after returning from Antalya I looked around for the cheese my cousin and I ate with melon and olives. Nazar market has a delicious selection of white cheeses made from sheep, goat or cows milk as well as other choices of string cheeses etc.You will never buy feta from the supermarket again!Their butcher is tops, and will grind the lamb to your specifications. They also carry amazing black olives both pickled and salt dried... all are extremely reasonable!Looking for dried spices, like sumac or dried mint?Need a small host or hostess gift? PIck up a jar of their Tunisian preserved nuts in honey, presented in a beautiful glass jar...delicious paired with cheese like Brie!

This has been my go to market for halal meat since I moved to Columbia from NY 7 years ago. Since I walked in to this shop, I decided I cannot go any where else for my fresh meat. The quality of the meat and care with which they handle it is beyond comparison in this area...and service is always with a smile or two. The only issue I have is catching them in time after I get off of work during the week.

Nazar Market is a dream come true for the Turkish people who live in the area. Its wonderful to walk into the store and feel like youre in a bakkal, what we call the small neighborhood grocery stores in Turkey. Store owners are very friendly and will make every effort to get you what youre looking for. Even if they dont normally carry a particular product or brand, if you request it, they will find it if its imported into the states by any of their vendors. I frequent their store for Turkish breakfast items like feta and tulum cheese, olives, simit bread, sucuk, teas and coffee, jams and helvas. My son always wants to stop there for the tube chocolate(nutella like Turkish hazelnut spread stuffed into a tube that you suck to eat), which makes me so happy since it was my favorite when i was his age. They also serve to the middle eastern and Mediterranean population with many items from regional brands. Americans who dont share the nostalgia Im motivated by will also find many items to enjoy in this ethnic store. Turkish cuisine is famous for its red meat dishes like shish kebabs and meatballs with amazing spices. Even if you dont know how to put it all together yourself, you can ask their butcher to prepare it for you, so all you have to do is to grill it when you get home.
