Ive only ever purchased small items from Trip, but he is always more than welcome to help out with anything from large to small. He offers great advice, and isnt there to just sell you equipment. Real down-to-earth guy and always a joy to speak to. I know where my next guitar purchase will be.

My daughter just started basic guitar lessons and her strings were loose. We brought in her guitar and the gentleman working tuned it for free! Great guy and very professional. We will definitely come back in a few months to upgrade her guitar.

I bought my first guitar from trips Father around 75 or 76 in the original store a few spots down and over the last 45 years have bought and sold gear,stringss,supplies and instruments. I just got a killer Mandolin from him that I absolutely love.Trip is a good guy and easy to do buisness with. I will be seeing him again.

This place reminds me of the local music store where I grew up. You can browse without being sold equipment like the big box stores. Its been my go to shop since I walked in and got a great deal on a gorgeous used Martin HD-28. Theyre quite friendly, courteous, and always have a good rotation of great vintage gear. What a wonderful store! I just bought a beautiful Oscar Schmidt (by Washburn) guitar. It was my first time in the store. The owners (I forgot to catch their names) were very kind, very helpful, and overall nice to be around. It is a great store with a lot of selection and a lot of history. They let you play the guitars to test them out, which is very welcoming. I would strongly recommend visiting this local, family owned store.

I ordered my vibroverb reissue and left a deposit via C.C. Trip was patient regarding a minor glitch regarding the need for a zip code. ( I am in Canada). We talked on the phone and then he resolved the glitch. I drove to The music store ( 14 hours). To get this perfect ( for me ) Amp. I have bought several high end used guitars from Trip over the years, and really appreciate the one on one personal attention. Super weird experience, Drove 40 minutes to purchase a jcm800 I saw listed online. Saw a cheap telecaster I was also interested in. Guy working asked what I was looking for, I said the used telecaster (and before I could finish saying I also came for the jcm800). The gentleman told me these guitars are autographed and not for sale. and he walked in the back. Yeah bro but those arent the guitars I was asking you about. So being the only one in the store I walked around a few minutes. Guy stayed in the back. So I left....Lost $1800 in business. Rather do business with locals than guitar center, but sadly they treat you better.
