Great store with almost anything and everything you could need for sports, outdoors and firearms. Its a shame they dont have in-store stock of AR-15 rifles but they are hard to find anywhere so no points taken off for that.The staff at the firearms department are very friendly and knowledgeable. Special shoutout to Dalton for saving me from buying the wrong ammo on accident.

Went for an airsoft gun for my boy. Found what he wanted immediately and got out in less than 15 mins! I also bought a pair of under armor shoes and some sketchers (most comfy shoes Ive ever put on!)

The staff was very helpful and courteous! I distinctly remember the cashier because she was very sweet and actually had a very cool sense of humor😄. I needed a pair of 💪work boots, and got what I needed at a decent price! Im also looking for a pair of mens Nike Shox NZ, Dark Anthracite Gray in a size 10.5. Academy Sports was the only place that had them at a nice price, but I couldnt find my size at the store nor on their website. Any suggestions on where I could find these? This is a regular stop for me in Conway usually. If it wasnt for my experience last night... this would be 5 stars. Bought a pit boss grill last night. Asked for assistance and was sent two employees that were the minimalist of help. We were informed there was no box for the grill we wanted. Couldnt get help collapsing the grill. Ended up doing it myself which resulted in me injuring my thumb by pinching it between the bars while the 2 proceeded to just stand there. My wife ended up pulling pressure off to where I could get my thumb out. No report was filed or manager advised of what happened. They proceeded to roll the grill to the register but only after asking. Wife pulled Jeep around and the employees loaded it into the vehicle. After getting grill home in Ola, AR did we realise after unloading it that its missing parts.

So often when I shop here, Im impressed with the helpfulness and the knowledge of the staff. Professional folks, great products, clean and well organized store.... ( Kinda wish they had fly fishing gear. )

This would be. 5 star review but for the rudeness of the women working the pick up desk. In the last 5 weeks Ive gone to do in store pick up at least once a week, usually more. My husband puts in the order and since I drive by I usually pick it up.If the tall slender girl with dreads or Emily are at the desk, I will just walk out from now on.Sadly Ive dealt with them more than once and both seem annoyed and irritated when you walk up to the desk. They are intentionally unhelpful snarky and slow.Sad really because every other person weve dealt with there has been exceptional!!

Nice clean store, well organized and fairly well stocked. Found a special purchase item on sale that I had been researching and it was priced significantly lower and included a bonus item, talk about a great deal.

Overall always a good experience, great pricing, amazing customer service, with outstanding employees that go beyond to make a better day of shopping from directly ordering special orders to just helping anyway they can!

On August 24th I visited this Academy and I have to say I was quiet pleased with my visit. I was approached immediately asking if I could be helped and the associate took me to the item I was looking for it was that way thru out the store. Very clean and well organized, very friendly and helpful staff. I spent most of my time in Sporting Goods and everyone was really helpful.

Wish there was an app I could use to pay my credit card.. instead of website or in store payments only

I have been to Academy a number of times and am always satisfied with my experience. The store is fairly large so I often ask for assistance from an associate and they typically walk me right to the item I am looking for. Their selection of apparel is wide, I wish their prices were a bit lower but they have very high quality items to choose from. I love how many different sections of the store there are so I can get something for my kids, wife, and myself all in one trip.

They don’t honor their own sales. Went in for no reason at all and was handed a yellow sale coupon upon entering and was told today only “take an extra 30% off clearance products with this coupon”. Made 2 selections went to checkout, they rang up as what it was marked, handed the cashier the coupon, and she told me it was not valid and would not be applied. Terrible customer service and false advertising. This is why I use Amazon anyway.

I love Academy for reasonably priced sport and hunting goods. During this time when Ammo is scarce they seem to get more than most places.

Ordered sandals and I guess they must have ran out of my size because one of them was a size smaller. Check your online order before leaving! Sad you have to do this. Must have thought I wouldnt notice.

Store was nice but all the employees were up front talking and no customer support in the store to help you with shoes and other things. Dressed sloppy to see if I was treated differently than when I dressed nicer and was treated very different. No one offered help this time and when I went in dressed nice the employees were asking me if I needed help in every department.

The shelves were bare for alot of outdoor stuff but the staff were nice. I lucked out and found a kayak there but I was disappointed in their inventory although its not the stores fault.

Terrible place to work for let alone shop in. Half of the employees are too busy goofing off or ignoring customers to bother helping. No one seems to answer the phones. Very understaffed in the check out. The company doesnt take doctors notes and gives you points towards being fired if you have to miss work due to ANYTHING of importance. So if you develop health related issues that require doctors appointments and you cant switch shifts with someone- because they make their schedule almost a month in advance-, youll eventually be fired (which is against the law in AR). The store director has no idea what shes doing half the time and is too stuck up to bother helping anyone when she finally comes out of her office. Their firearm selection is poor, and some of the people working the counter have no clue what theyre talking about.Over all, this academy is terrible. The employees and management dont give a damn about anything, and you pretty much just help yourself when you visit there. Its hard to find anyone willing to help you with any questions in any department. Youre better off shopping at another academy in the state, or even the smaller stores.

Ok selection, decent prices, and good customer service

I got some slides for 9.99 and 10 pair of socks for 9.99. Best deal ever and my bf got a gun but that took the longest because of all the procedures they had to follow. Overall though we are extremely happy
