I called Brad from the water when I had the issue. He correctly diagnosed it as my impeller from my description. He had me back on the water quick and for a reasonable price. I would definitely use Workhorse Marine again.

Boat Tansport- HIGHLY RECOMMEND WORKHORSE MARINE - I used Workhorse marine to transport a 25 pontoon from Cornelius NC to Lake Greenwood SC (295 miles RT). Price was very fair and reasonable. They accommodated my schedule even though I called them on very short notice. I was very impressed with their professionalism and service in all aspects. They clearly knew how to secure and transport a boat. I was also impressed that included in the price, they used two vehicles, one to transport and the other to follow and spot the boat and hauling vehicle. They were very cautious and safe drivers; and clearly knew how to do their job. Their service vehicles were also very nice vehicles. I will definitely call them again whenever I need a boat to be transported

New to the area and just bought a 20 year old Malibu. I am very thankful to have quickly found my go-to boat guy. I had Brad give the boat a full look over as well as winterize and do some other preventative maintenance to make sure the boat is in good shape going into the season as we do not know the full history of the boat. I bought a neglected 2007 Rinker 320ec. When I took it to Brad and his dad it would do about 14 knots and worked basically when it wanted to. Brad interviewed me and the boat after which he looked at me and said, “I got this”. Understand I was thinking a repower, new gimbals, new out drives, basically gut the boat and start over. Nope, hand it to Brad and we just launched today from Ramsey creek. This 34 foot 12500 lb boat running on two 5.0 mpi’s now does 30 MPH. Which is completely insane. And no he did not break the bank to get there. Water pumps, hoses rewiring work, nothing is out of this guys reach.. and he views his business with an unusual tilt toward long term clientele. Use Brad, he is the ONLY guy that will touch this boat as long as I own it. He works with you to get you where you need to be while looking after your bank account and boat as if both were his.

Omg Brad at work horse marine was so professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I needed a propeller installed on my boat and not only was he able to handle the job he extended his knowledge of boats in addressing another issue i may have. Let me start by saying that I only post reviews for persons, companies and services that are above and beyond exceptional. That said, Brad at Workhorse Marine is someone you can trust with your vessel. I decided to purchase a boat and was on a tight schedule. Thus there was a lot to do in a short amount of time. Specifically, seeing the boat, having it inspected by a professional and doing a water test. The boat was 100 miles from my home so I searched for certified mechanics who might be able to do the inspection and water test for me. I’d seen Workhorse Marine on the internet and after a few phone calls, Workhorse was mentioned to me by another individual. I emailed WM from their website and followed up with a phone call. Brad took my call and I expressed my need for an inspection, a water test and also needing to have the boat towed to it’s new home. “I need to get this done within a week.” After a few laughs, Brad explained the process of the inspection, water test and answered every question I had. His schedule was busy, but he made it all happen. He even took the extra time to drive the boat 100 miles to my lake, put the boat in the water, take a cruise to make sure I was satisfied and finally, towed my trailer to a safe location. All of this work took up his entire day - he suggested a minor tune up after doing his inspection as well as a battery replacement - “I can do it today and then town the boat up to you”. Throughout the entire process Brad followed up and confirmed every appointment and meeting spot. He even got me a deal on a few needed supplies at a local shop. If I ever have questions or need work done, Brad is definitely the first person I’m calling. I would absolutely use Workhorse Marine in the future. I have been going to Denver for repairs which is across the lake and traffic. His shop or I should says shops, are so clean and organized and in a very respectable motor complex which caters high end cars, and various motor vehicles. Well he walked me through what was wrong and detailed solutions and recommended a good option in updating my older boat. Worked out great so far and looking forward to updating other features we discussed. Brad seems to be a fine man and his father is assisting him in the business. The crew at Workhorse Marine recently accomplished a very delicate transport of a vintage Hatteras Yacht hull from South Jersey to North Carolina. Due to the age of the vessel, its length, and 12.5-foot beam, extra care and effort were required for this multi-day task. The seller was present to watch the loading and I was available at the final destination for unloading. We both agree that no greater concern nor precision could have been applied. Having a good boat mechanic is important in the marine world, however at the Cornelius Fire Department, we trust no one else to fix the important things that could mean the difference between life and death. Whether its an after hours breakdown or an immediate haul out request, Workhorse has come through on time and with the best customer service in the bussiness. We have recently performed maintenance and had a weekend emergency breakdown and Workhorse Marine made sure we were back on the water protecting the community as quickly as possible. We have had a boat on LKN for 18 years now, and used several local mechanics for various jobs. This past winter my husband didnt do the best job of winterizing our boat, and Mothers Day was spent on LKN with an engine fire. Im so glad that I found a mechanic I can trust. I was a bit skeptical about some outdrive work that another mechanic suggested and Brad agreed that it wasnt necessary. He didnt try to upsell anything, instead he gave me his honest opinion of the life left in some of the components. He serviced my two Alpha One drives and replaced my impellers and sent before and after pictures. Very responsive via phone, text and email and I will definitely use him again!
