The clerk at the Covington Game Stop are helpful and knowledgeable. We have been shopping there since my son was 8. They have always treated him with kindness and respect - willingly chatting with him about chatting about whatever game he is purchasing and offering age appropriate game suggestions.

Took my son here and traded in a bunch of his older played games for a brand nd new one that hes been wanting for a long time. Love there guarantee in new games (if you dont like the game you buy, trade it back in within a week gir full instor credit) got a good trade in price fi2r evry game except one -2019 soccer game but understanding. Lots of games to chose from. Could use a little bit of work on customer service however. Also, someone left a comment on another review claiming Place smells like weed. I did not any weed while i was there. Pethaps another customer had carried the smell in with him that day. Establishment canr be held respisible for the smells and oders of its patrons.

Crammed with junk. Had nothing you need. Rips you off for your trade ins. Smelled like weed...only positive thing about this place.

Boyfriends and my favorite place to go. Great manager. Small selection of DS and Wii games which is understandable. Good amount of Xbox1 games and a large amount of PlayStation games. They do not carry HDMI converters. Just like everywhere else at this time, connectable Switch controllers are out of stock. Very clean place with no flickering lighting. 5 people allowed in at a time, they are also following the local regulation of masks with I appreciate.

These guys are totally knowledgeable. I love getting feedback on games I am about to purchase from people who know and love video games. Not only that, they also held onto a game for me that Ive been looking for ever for. I always look forward to buying & trading my games here

Sadly GameStop overall is going downhill quickly, even with many of the employees trying their best. Ive been taken care of fairly well and given good information, but mostly by the staff trying to minimize the damage that the company owners and management seem to self inflict.I have to be honest and say that the bigger the GameStop the better the selection, and chance of something being in stock. Otherwise save the gas and call first. With more shelf space going to collectables (i.e. cheap plastic that people hope will be worth something decades later) theres less inventory for actual games even though its in the name of the place.You can no longer assume theyll have what youre looking for.

I really enjoy going to this store. Friendly and helpful. I live closer to other gamestops, but this one is just better. I have always driven the extra mile for great service.

What can I say. So far havent had a bad experience and the workers do a great job at helping. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Love the fact that they are honest and willing to try and find an answer if they dont know an answer to a question.I had a question about quality of headset and the guy was unsure so he asked the other coworkers to see if they knew. They gave honest opinion and didnt try to up sell. Honest and good guys.

Store is a good size not too big not too small. The employees are nice and helpful. They have a wide variety of games, collectibles, and clothes, there is even 2 system/game testing spots in the front of the store.

Been going here for years the staff is friendly and eager to assist you even if you are just coming in to get Microsoft points. The fact that even after just a few visits the newest employees learn your name is outstanding. If you are a collector the stores ThinkGeek Merchandise is collectors dream.

Ive been going here since 2011-ish, they have almost always had what I was looking for. And the employees are super nice

Great service and very helpful staff! They helped me get the right gifts for my kids right before Christmas (mom doesnt do much gaming!) Also can get a warrenty to replace new games for very cheap compared to buying a new game if something were to happen. Thanks guys, Im sure well be back soon!!!

Not particularly bad but this was the third one i went to and after going 25 miles out of my way because gamestop cant label its products correctly i received no compensation and will not be returning to gamestop. Id rather order online and wait a few days than go through this again.

I had to go to this gamestop 4 times in the same day for a ps4 controller. 1 of them had so much gunk in it the joysticks were practically frozen. So we go to swap it with another. The R2 button on the 2nd controller was basically glued in and wasnt functional, so we go a 3rd time and this one doesnt even turn on or charge. 4th time was the charm though and I finally got a controller. I also happened to buy an HDMI cable while I was there, I thought I was going to need it but ended up not, thought Id throw it in the drawer for later use. Well today was later use, and I opened my drawer to pull the cable out (still in the gamestop packaging) to hook up my ps4 when I happened to notice one of the cable ends. Its completely destroyed.Thanks gamestop. I rarely use you and when I do, all my negative preconceptions are validated.

I had to wait a couple of days for a game to come in. They were great with giving me an accurate estimate of when it would be there as well as other stores that had it in stock. Despite everyone being way younger than me, it was some of the best customer service I have had in a long time!!!!!!

Bought 2 games used, didnt really look at the case that much since they werent even the original which is my fault but got home and opened the games and both cases were so broken that they counldnt be re closed. kind of unfortunate, youd think theyd have a way to take care or replace cases being such a big company, rarely go to gamestop but now there is actually no point they lost their touch

Great location with easy access to surrounding businesses and plenty of parking. They also have a very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

The only local place for video games either new or used. Selections vary as does pricing. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about games and systems. Store is often crowded and cluttered and feels too small for the location.

Went into purchase a 360 so I could relive the NCAA Football glory days. Was greated by a friendly worker by the name of Bryan. Being new, Bryan needed some help(who doesnt when theyre new to a job)and his coworker(I belive his name was Anthony) was there to help. Being new(and during the busiest shopping time of the year), you have to give a new guy credit, he kept a smile on his face and his trainer was patient. Where things went south was when another worker came over(Justin was his name) and was very snippy with the both of them about what the new guy was doing. Be it from not understanding what was happening or thinking he knew best, it was very unprofessional to strike up that in front of a store with multiple customers in it. Bryan kept a smile on his face though and Anthony guided him the rest of the way and I left with my 360. All in all, it wouldve been a 5 star experience had that employee not engaged in such away.

Best kept secret for King county gamers. The tax is less in Covington by 3%! Which if your a person who spends hundreds or thousands a year on games and consoles it adds up!Staff is super friendly and I hang out here in-between Ubering sometimes. Staff has no issues either, so it makes me a repeat customer, more than my wife and bank account like. LolI like how the employees are gamers and card players. So you never met someone who doesn’t know enough about games to make your frustrated.Honestly, if you’re gonna buy a expensive game or collectors edition or console it’s worth going here over other stores. IMO.

Not sure how a business like this survives but every kid deserves a GameStop in their lives. Keep up the good fight GameStop.

Hi, I was at the store 2 days ago buying a game for my son and the person sold the game to me charged me for the game but he gave me a used one. My son played for couple hours and the games freezes, so I went back and return the game and went to the one in Kent bought another game thats when I realize that I was cheated. This time I got the brand new case unlike the first time I bought from the Covington Store, he game me the used case and the game he took it out from the CD envelope.
