Very courteous and effecient staff. I was able to get my receipt via email.
Big store . You need to take time to really look through the store and find great deals. Many items are new but many 2nd hand gifts. Fun store.
Their taking clothes, but no furniture.
Smallish, as used book stores go, but they turn over the selection often enough to justify a visit every other week or so.
May not accept donation due to COVID. YMMV
Its small, not very much to see, its pretty hit or miss most days.
Great value items can be found at even greater value prices
This is a Goodwill Donation Center and you can also see a good selection of books and small trinkets to purchase on any given day. Most folks in Culver City dont even know they sell things in addition to taking donations. No doubt it is a tiny place with only a few parking spaces, but its worth the look. On several occasions, Ive picked up a few great items on the bookcases (and a few of the purchases werent even books.) The thing about this place is that you need to go often to find deals and I could only encourage you to do during the middle of the day as its the least crowded too. Of course, you might find the book of your dreams, but its more likely you will find a new (yep, or new near) pair of brand label sneakers as this is location is a diamond in the rough when it comes to thrift stores in the area!
My Handsome secret! :)
Disappointing. Wanted to donate furniture. Person kept hanging up the call without saying anything. When you represent a company that represents charity and goodwill your values should be aligned.
The staff here are doing a great job with COVID safety.
Good deals bit with only two people in the store at a time the wait is annoying.
Very expensive, they have some items even more expensive than a departments store! Oh, and the place is so small, only two persons can be inside!
So I was pulled into this store by a buddy to look at a jacket. I ended up buying 2 amazing winter jackets for like $40. One was a 3/4 length Wilson Leather. Who knew you could get really cool and stylish garmets here. Im impressed! πππ
I its a great little store sells dominantly books and it has some household items and clothing.
Located at junction of two busy streets,. Sepulveda and Washington. Parking lot is small especially when they have a large truck parked. Seemed to be a busy store but drop off was fairly easy into a bin by the door. Because this is a store as well as a donation site there was no one dedicated to assisting with the drop off unless you go in and ask. Also if you want a receipt you have to ask.
Picked up a childtens book.
Quality selection of books. I have found some real gems here. Its consistently clean and organized, and the staff is super friendly.
The services was very good, the staff was very helpful in removing the 8 piece drum set and bag of new toys. They were friendly and courteous.
I love exploring the store when im in the area. Unique finds. You can probably find the books cheaper online but the ambience is worth a look.
I great dropoff location, the staff are super friendly and helpful and make the visit fast and effortless. The only real drawback is the small showroom size, but they use what little space they have extremely well.
Neatly organized bookstore at rock bottom prices ($2 for choice books). Beautiful location for book hunters. Not to be confused with a regular thrift store. Only books, baby.β¨ππΈββ¨
Five stars because Goodwill does so much good for so many people. It gives jobs and job training to those with special needs or circumstances. It makes them productive members of society and gives them confidence, independence and hope. The only thing I dont like is their prices have gone way up in the last 5-10 years.
Book selection is bad plus the prices are 4 to 5 dollars when Ive been to multiples stores and gotten books for 99c. Plus parking is for about 5 cars only. Plus its a super tiny store, as soon as your in your outside already.
A great place to shop for books.
Great
I can only rate donating since I never went into the shop. But donations were easy and unlike some other places Ive been to, the clerk actually did her job and filled out my receipt.
I stopped by on a Tuesday around noon looking for a few books for a gift. This place was packed full of books, each section was marked so you didnt have to look through all the rows. Nice small clean bookstore, and the staff was friendly and nice. Spent about 40 minutes and purchased 2 books, and 3 music DVDS. The prices were .99-$2.99, also discount days for veterans on Mondays and seniors on Tuesdays . A small parking lot, about 12 spots included a handicapped space behind the store where the entrance is. They also accept donations, just pull up and drop off inside the front door. Since they closed their other bookstore /donation location that was on Pico Blvd between Bundy and Barrington in West L.A., I am glad I stopped by to check this one out, will definetly come back.
Retail version of dumpster diving. Lets face it, shopping at Goodwill isnt for Range Rover soccer moms, you WILL encounter adventurous odors & quite the few interesting fellow patrons. Though, the reward can be well worth your lost pride as underpriced gems are a daily, perhaps hourly thing. Bring hand sanitizer & youll be just fine.
Nice selection of books, friendly staff, convenient location. Drop off what you dont need, leave with some new reads!
Good prices
This is by far the most organized Goodwill Ive been to in Los Angeles. Its also the smallest store Ive been to. They even take books and audio media!
Great finds here. If you like books, youre in for a treat! Small, but well organized.
Rude and moody staff. I donated a really nice television. They did not want to help. And when they finally did help - yup you guessed it: #BANG! Done deal. Never going back to this #GOODWILL location.
Hard workers making peoples lives better.
Had a great selection of books and the people there where nice. π
Best Goodwill for books,in a span of two weeks I was able to get a hold of Lord of the rings trilogy book, Stephen Kings the shining,A game of thrones, star wars, Star trekSo many triple A titles and authors back to back, no luck on any Anne rice books thoStaff are friendly and happy,. mostly busy but new books are always getting stocked on the daily...thanks to staff being busy.... definitely a bookworms heaven
Always great deals at great prices and friendly staff
They are not accepting donations.
Great service with staffing to provide a place donate that extra belongs to a worthy cause.
I love this store great finds if you pick through things
This store used to be cleaner, more organized, what happened? Its great for drop offs but if you go in looking for books, selection is good but it used to be better organized.
Small location but prices were good sold books old games a few household items staff was cool
This store has the best organized books ever!!!
I love to shop there for books. $.99 and $1.99.for books.
Really great staff in service but unfortunately this is a super tiny good well and not at all a selection unless youre looking for books.
Had super cute bathing suits. Clean store and friendly staff.
Great items, primarily books, dvds and cds. Polite staff.
Its a great little book store and donation drop off center they have a few other items in there that are way over priced. About a year ago the prices were much lower but now you can buy the items new for about the same price....
They have stuff for sale there.
Lots of books . Super cheap. Nice staff
What a neat little treasury of items.
I love that you take my stuff and I dont have to waste it!
Always taking my things :)
This place is a mess.Beyond mere mortal perception.
I went there with my family to donate my son old bike. An attendant there said they didnt accept any donation at the time and the way she was walking was nof friendly. At the same time a lady there asked us to may have my son bike, but the attendant there just said two or three times you have to do that outside of the property! Come on, We had come to donate :)
I loved this place. I would go every other day to get DVDs/Blu Rays and books. I knew everyone that worked there by their names. I even knew regulars by their names. It was awesome. It was like treasure hunting, I loved it.Then they got a new manager. The prices increased so much. Things that were once $3-$6 is now $19.99. The price increase has caught everyone off guard. Every time I have gone in since, I have been shocked at the prices they are asking for things. $90 for a diecast model. $60 for a dinky telescope. $40 for a wii in really bad condition.Even if things are still a good deal, Its a shame how violently they have raised prices and their disregard for their customers is really apparent.I asked if they had any blu rays being put out, and they said they had a lot more in the back. I asked to look at them, they said no. Ive done this in the past, but now they are controlling what they are selling more.I still like going, but I will definitely limit how often I go and how much I buy there. It even feels like there is more tension there within the employees. Pretty uncomfortable.UPDATE: I returned after months of not going in. The prices are still high and dramatic. The new manager spends most of their time outside smoking and isnt friendly. There is an ash tray even sitting on one of the tables for sale outside. Its a shame. I dont know anyone there anymore.
Wonderful staff, new donation receipt process, and excellent books, comics, DVDs and CDs.
Amazing customer service the books are kept neat and organized
Only donations and bookstore dont get confuse
Excellent choices of DVDs CDs Books and even Records. Everything is cleaned and organized by category. Prices averaged about $2 to $4 for books and they even have comics/graphic novels. CDs and DVD prices were about the same. No clothes or shoes or knick knacks (yet)? VERY friendly staff that works there (two young guys) they actually seem like they enjoy what they do which is refreshing and they do it with a smile. They dont have a public restroom but they let me use it there (hey when you gotta go) and it was SUPER clean even had a Victoria Secret body splash for the cusomters (?) good hand lotion and full length mirror. I was pretty impressed. Ill be going back when Im in town.
Very nice people working there
Went here to purchase a jacket for a costume. Didnt find what I was looking for but the sales associate was very helpful in assisting me find something different.
Grumpy staff. Nothing good. Dont bother with this one.
Very tight parking. Fair. Not ur classic Cali bookstore.
One of my favorites.
A very small store with rude employees that dont want to help you with your donation transactions. The only redeeming factor is that it takes furniture donations if the parking lot is not full.
Its a big mess
So helpful and friendly
If you are looking for a deal. You wont find it here
$4 parking lot sale cant be beat!
Excellent used book collection.
Its hit or miss sometimes ..just need to be looking every day...
