Great place to take the family or hang out with some friends for a snack and hot tea or coffee. I was kinda annoyed how when our coffee was ready they never called us. It was just sitting there the whole time we were sitting outside waiting for it. Other than that they have delicious pastries that are baked fresh. [Update] added an extra star this time for the friendly staff. Also when I ordered the fresh strawberry milk tea they were nice enough to give the extra milk tea left in the blender.
Very different and reasonably sized cakes for birthdays and occasions. Bit pricy but worth it. Their mango creme brulee is delicious!!!
Nice bakery and staff. Just wished outside seating was usable and not turned upside down and locked.
This place is always going to be my favorite for all the best flavors and good vibes I have had .....perfect sugar in all the dessert is always appropriated by me I donβt like super sweet ...so for the ppl who like the less sugar will love this place .....from cheesecake to cream filled buns ....all have the best flavors and itβs at the best location just opposite Hyatt house .....perfect place to spent your weekend around this place ....
FRESH Strawberry milk tea with NO strawberry. When I asked about it, I was told casually that they were out of strawberry. No apology, no exchange offer, seems like sure thing. Why not tell me when I make the order?I only come here for milk tea and this time is a huge disappointment. The quality of this particular store declined so much recently and I recommend everyone to avoid coming here.
After eating a big meal I decided to stop in and get a little dessert. As I walk in I was very surprised to see how much product and variety they still had on their shelves. (being that it was around 6pm) They sell baked goods, pastries, cakes, coffee, tea and more. I opted for a slice of their mango cream BrulΓ© cake, it was a lite and airy creamy goodness with lite flavors, perfect for An after dinner dessert or anytime with a cup of coffee..
This is one of my favorite evening hangout place. Everything here is absolutely delicious. Brioche, mushroom cheese bread, egg tart etc are my favorite. Prices are great and the quality will meet your expectation for sure. Finding Parking can be tricky. But drive around, you will find it in a bit.I recommended this place to everyone.
I like their savory buns better but sweet buns are not bad as well. Good selections of drinks.
Love the pastries here - black forest cake is my absolute favorite. I have ordered it for my birthday two years in a row. The flavors are similar to indian cakes as well.
Taste good but really not punctual on the opening hours. We are waiting so long for it to open at 9am
Love the cake and snack selections here. Their multi grain bread tasks awesome.
Came in on a weekend morning and was rewarded with no lines and a fresh selection of sweet and savory pastries. My favorite has always been the chocolate bun, but everything else is excellent too, depending on what you are craving. Mango panna cotta, taro buns, cheese Danish... Really yummy for any occasion.
The bread is always delicious and fluffy, which is something I cannot say for many other bakeries. I enjoy all of their sweets; Ive also ordered their cake numerous times and was not disappointed. Overall, its a very nice place for a quick snack or a meal of fragrant bread. It much less crowded than the other 85C bakery in San Jose. Here you can talk without screaming and enjoy your food without feeling hurried or cramped.
If you dont know much about Asian pastries, you might get lost or order something that you do not like. They have many different varieties of savory and sweet pastries. You can ask one of the employees if its your first time here, and they will guide you to what your looking for, overall a good place, but if you want coffee, there is a Philz Coffee right across the way. So get your dessert here, but get your coffee at Philz.
Good place to buy bread. Recommend garlic cheese, milk toast.
I love buying their freshly baked buns
Let me get this out of the way βI think 85C bakery is good, nothing special and expensive.βBut βsome peopleβ in our party couldnβt get enough of their baked goods, we stop by yesterday after lunch, they talked about it at dinner and this morning we stop by for breakfast and brought bunch more for later snacks. Ay ya!!
Way better than Burger King.
This store is the best. Love their pastries... all of them. Everything tastes awesome. Worth every penny.
This is stupidly busy, and only one cashier; she gets orders to make the order, and the store manager is just looking and not helping her stuff.
The Chocolate Mousse cake is one of their best flavors
Tasty cake. Must try chocolate strawberry cake
I took the order, this store has no parking space! ! At a shoping mall! I received a ticket.
The cake was good but the customer service was not. I requested to have Happy Birthday written on a cake but when I arrived they hadnt written anything. I asked why and they said they dont do it anymore. The employee that was working didnt give me other options either. She was kind of mean because when I said I was going to write a review, she said to do so. I dont think an employee should encourage a customer to write a bad review.
Today is 11/18 SUNDAY. This bread is circled on MONDAY. I ask what does this means, the staff says it means the bread will still be good till tomorrow. But, the Best By date is 11/23! Also, another bread is circled Sunday and its best by date is 11/21They are cheating customers, and canβt give me an acceptable answer.
Food and coffee is good but they dont hand out spoons which is stupid. think this is a covid precaution? its not just stupid.
Standard 85c, baked goods, drinks, cakes. They are located in Cupertino Main Street, easier to park in the garage and walk versus finding parking right in front of the store. Grass lawn and some benches are nearby to sit and talk. Download the rewards app to keep track of points
So so good π
The cashier was insisting that I pay with my card when I have cash on hand. Where does it say that card is only the choice?????? Even if there is a national coin shortage - I PAID THE EXACT AMOUNT!!!!!
Delicious Desserts, Breads, Muffins, Rolls Etc.
They are fast but I observed they have same bread more trays
The best Taiwanese bakery chain in the US, period. Of course there are plenty of bakeries in the US, there arent that many authentic Taiwanese bakeries, and 85c came directly from Taiwan so you know its got to be good. Some differences between Taiwanese bakeries and regular bakeries are that Taiwanese bread comes with a sleuth of delicious toppings like sausages, cheese, chocolate, pork floss, green onions, and others (not all at once, of course). It may look like a mini pizza to some, but other Taiwanese bread also hide their secrets as a stuffing inside the bread. They are all amazing, you gotta try one to discover why there is always a line waiting for the next batch of bread.
Yesterday I checked out with a chubby female cashier, and she overcharged me with 2 Taro Swirl pastries that I did not buy at 85C Steven Creek. Normally I check my receipt but Unfortunately, I did not check it yesterday at the store. I found out this over charge after I got home. In the future, I will make sure to double check the receipt before I leave. I recommend everyone should do it.
We visit this place regularly. They have a good variety of bread with various fillings. Our favorites are those with red bean, matcha, coffee and chocolate. They also offer drinks that compliment the bakery well. Their french toast is of high quality. If you go late enough in the evening, you might be able to get some discounts on some items. The parking is a little hard in the evening and on the weekends, since there are many other popular shops and restaurants in the same plaza. One bad experience is on a hot summer day, when AC is on for maybe 50% of the shops, for some reason 85C did not turn it on. They actually needed it most considering how perishable the bakery is!
Customer service always lacks at this place
Love these styles of bakeries. The selection is fantastic and they are all delicious for a very reasonable price. Love their egg custards. Theres some indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are great and keep the place clean.
I ordered the Mango cake but was disappointed to see no mangoes on top. The cake base was dry as well.
Asked for cake candles and they agreed to give us but didnβt supply any. Bad customer service do not go here. Manager is very rude. Donβt go here.
Pastries are amazing, so tasty! Im slightly annoyed they dont have name tags for most of the pastries so its kind of a guess and try for many items. Also it would be amazing if they called out beverages when theyre ready. Theres nothing written on the cups so you have to wait around the counter all the time to correctly get yours.
Why wouldnβt you give spoons or forks? It doesnβt makes sense they are nothing to do with Covid. What the fork is this?!
The double chocolate cake/pastry is the best!
Coffee is diluted and did not taste good. Trimasu was good. No forks how am I supposed to eat the cake and bakery?? Need to give customers plasticware dont blame it on COVID19. Place has greater potential if customers are well advised on changes in protocol. All in all mediocre experience.
The blueberry muffins are typically pretty good, lots of other nice options as well. Fresh, tasty, and convenient
My new favorite bakery... Which is a problem since Im working on reducing carbs? Anyway!!!Their baked goods are amazing. The garlic cheese bread is my favorite, and I also enjoy the bacon and cheese bread. My family members go gaga over their brioche bread, so we have to get multiple rolls of that. And now weve discovered that their white bread is great for egg sandwiches.Sounds like I may need to buy stock in this bakery!
Their red velvet was really great and I cant have enough of it. Staffs were friendly and welcoming too. Prices were reasonable and was worth it.
Neat place with lots of Korean / Chinese style baked goods. Its very popular, so there is often a line. Also, they dont match the foods up with the tags properly or the dont tag the food properly, so it can be difficult to identify what is what. Last, the people who maintain the baked goods are not 100% familiar with what food is what -- they gave us the wrong taro buns, and that was disappointing.I should note that there are a few popular spots in this shopping plaza, so parking is very tight. Generally, this is a nice place with okay prices, and good pastries.
Very good pastry and teas. Be ready to get your dose of sugar though, but it feels so good...
So many amazing pastries, awesome variety!
Great place!
I really love 85s Premium Milk Bread. Every time I go to 85 I always get that bread and then I try others. The breads in 85 are really fresh (they bake several times a day which is super nice) and compared to other bakeries Ive been to, 85s prices are amazing -- especially for the size of their breads. This particular store is a little crammed (there isnt much space for seating inside the store, but they have a lot of seating outside). Ive never tried any of their desserts, but they look wonderful.
Pretty disappointed in your bakery this morning. Open at 7...come around 7:30 expecting the cases to be full this time of day and sadly only about 1/3 of what should be there was. The one pastry I wanted before heading to the airport wasnβt there and wouldnβt be for 2 more hours. Apparently it has to bake and cool, hmmm should get there early enough before opening like normal bakeries to have things prepared for he morning crowd of people before work. Wonβt be returning.
Lots of yummy selections! I love their sea salt coffee series. Its a great hangout place as well!
Their pastries are amazing! Theyre affordable and taste like heavan. The atmosphere and everythings great too- although I would say, itd be nice if they can have name tags and ingredients for all their foods- some people might be vegetarian or have allergies, so having that would just make it easier than having customers go up to the register to ask whats in their food. But all in all, its been a pretty good experience.
I love 85 for the amazing pastries and drinks at an affordable price. The cakes look so expensive however, are quite cheap and so so so delicious. I definitely reccomend coming in for a bite or dessert.
I bought 2 pineapple cakes set of 3 on 10/27/19 and at home, I noticed that all 3 of one set were expired! They were expired on 10/23/19! It was expired 4 days ago and the bakery was selling them shamelessly!!!I would never go back to this one again!
Rosa the manager is awesome. Thank you Rosa for your assistance. I recommend you all go there
Boba milk tea here is filled half with ice. It is not worth $3.75. deflated value. Bakery items are OK in taste, but on the pricey side. Sitting area for customers is very limited. Store appears to be clean. I didnt like the concept of bagging your own goods.
This is one of the nicer 85 Degree Bakery cafes Ive been too. Even though it was very very popular the location is fantastic and the staff were extra careful about servicing every single customer including the students and the older folks. I highly recommend popping by here just to check out the new center, and grab yourself some baked goods. Wow kinda sounds like a commercial but seriously Im not usually a fan of bakeries but, I like this place!
We met with a few friends at this lovely bakery last weekend. The shopping experience was streamlined and efficient. You can grab a tray and a pair of things to pick your baked goods and then pay at the counter. The spread was diverse - I have not really seen so many well priced options in baked goods before. We sampled a few and some of them stood out better than the others - we absolutely liked the $14 Napolean pastry and the coffee π°. The coffee was skippable. We tried the one with sea salt and it felt that u had to drink salty water to reach the coffee eventually.Would go back for their baked goods again
Its good and I know they always busy but at least have time to clean the tables for the next customer to come in and want to sit.
First time at this location. Good quality bread. Pastries are really good. A little pricey but its worth your buck. They got boba milk tea. They have a place to sit outside with your four-legged friend. Its wonderful in summer weather. They have a bathroom. The employees are really helpful and friendly. They answer your questions and they work pretty fast. Props for the hard work.
The breads & cakes are amazing but the lines are long.
As per usual, there was no red bean bread on the shelves when I walked in even though theyre all I come here for. However, they had a fresh batch prepared, so I asked for it at the counter and got 3 of them right out of the oven!
Amazing how many things can come from a bakery! Tried multiple items and they were all wonderful. Try the hot Taro Latte. OMG! :)
I came to this shop to pick up my order! I waited a very long time! There is no parking space at all in this place!
85C Bakery Cafe is located at 19459 Stevens Creek Blvd #100, Cupertino, CA. It is good to buy bakery items from this shop which is always full of varieties and stuff being sold is fresh and generally yummy.Shop is not that much spacious but staff on duty found to be fast and helping.Enjoy your pastry.
Pretty great coffee. They Maple latte is a good one. Had a pumpkin mini pie thing and it was pretty amazing.
One of the smaller 85C bakeries that Ive went to. But, the selection is enough. Indoor and outdoor seating is minimal, but there is a park right outside and another park around the corner where you can enjoy your pastries. My favorites: Premium Milk, Berrytale, Hokkaido Cheese Tart and of course, the Sea Salt Iced Coffee.
Extremely slow, single cashier couldnt keep with the line that was building up, ran out of bobba by noon and sealer machine was broken. Drinks was tasty as usual. Place probably needs more people helping out but running out of bobba by mid day is a huge no no for a place that serves bobba.
Cashier touched the bread with her unwashed hands, and while putting bread in the box managed to crush all of them... yuck!
Every item we had was yummy, price was lower than other bakeries as well.
I went there today and was buying bread for three familys for mothers day! When I was at the counter I told to the cashier to put them in a box for a gift. Cashier told me that they are out of boxes which I just saw one guest in front of me with box. This is the second time that happened with the exact same response. It made me not want to come here again. Stock up of boxes specially if there is an occasion. I left very unhappy!
Crowded place
I know a lot of people like this place, Im not a huge fan but maybe I havent tried the right items
I came around 8PM on a weekday and the bread selection was pretty bad. I walked out with four pineapple buns (which they had plenty of), a taro bun, an espresso bun, and a cheese bun. The bread is chewy I guess but also on the smaller side, and the flavor is a bit lacking. Prices are high for bread as my box came out to be almost $17 post-tax. I really wish they had more selection!
Even their savory stuff is sweet, which is a strange taste for me. Otherwise, great desserts and a nice place to stop for a quick bite.
This cafe has a good selection of Asian style cakes. The bread is very soft and sugary, but thats because this isnt a European bakery.Atmosphere and service in our experience werent great at this location. Id take out and go sit on the lawn.
4 stars for the fresh batch of bread and pastry. 0 star for charging water even though I spent almost $$80 in one setting. Water could of have been free as a courtesy when and if customers desires for it. Anyway got two taro latte and water because my niece only wanted water. Other than that service is ok but the place is pretty cute granting its in the heart of Cupertino main.
So good! Their drinks looked appetizing ^.^
A great place for high end baked goods. You cant go wrong with anything here. Everything is really tasty. One word of good and bad.. Good = every Monday drinks are 85 cents.. Bad=very, very long lines on Mondays..
