5 stars this place is the best comic store around! I walked into the store and saw a couple of early FF! For only 6.00 each. I also found autographed comics for 5.00 with JRJR and Mark Gruenwald. I love this place and highly recommend.

I absolutely love this place. I havent had much time to make the journey as of late but honestly this will always have a place in my heart. Tucked away in the corner of a shopping center, Awesome Comics is easily overlooked. But do so at your own loss because it has a nice selection of new and used comics, action figures, and other collectibles on hand. One thing I couldnt find was a large selection of graphic novel compilations but when space is limited, some omissions must be forgiven. The owner/operator Jake is a great conversationalist and knows his stuff. Once he sees your interests, he will show you items that heretofore you didnt know that you couldnt live without. I was pressed for time and only took a cursory look around but I will definitely be back to delve into Jakes stacks to discover some buried treasure. I cannot think of a better waste of time on a Saturday afternoon. Jakes place may be tiny but its Awesome! Who says bigger is better?

This is my favorite comic book store ever. Its small, but these guys really know their stuff. The pricing is excellent and the more you shop there, the better the discounts get. Best place to go if you are looking to set up a weekly subscription, or if you have some stuff you want to sell.

Was looking to sell some sci-fi gear and they were extremely helpful in every which way. I love these stores because theyve not only bring back my childhood but its like looking at safety deposit boxes everywhere because those comics, and most shopkeepers will tell you so they can make a profit, that the markets a bust and that theyll buy it for a dollar to three right off the back. I call them comic gypsies. They mean well but it always comes down to the almighty dollar. I will be going back for that incredible hulk number 180 and 181

If you love comics, youll love this store. Always has current issues of comics. If your looking for a back issue and you cant find it, they can find it usually if it is with in the last year.They have comics from the silver and golden age. They are in very good condition.I strongly recommend if you are a collector or just getting started stop by.

As soon as I walked in, the smell of the comics and the boxes upon boxes took me back to my childhood days of visiting, trading, showing, and buying comics. The store is filled with comics action figures and the like. The gentleman that assisted me was very knowledgeable, calling customers by there first name and also treated me like an old friend. He also made a deal on three comics I picked up.In short if you want to browse or reminisce go check them out. They are nice, know comics, and prices are fair. See you soon Awesome Comics!

The subscription service they provide is the best, I just walk in and they have everything I am looking for ready for pickup at the register. Whenever I have a comicbook craving, I go to Awesome Comics. The staff is beyond friendly and are dedicated comic book fans that can answer almost any question you may have regarding comic books. Ive been going to Awesome Comics since I was 10 years old and I do intend to continue shopping here for as long as I stay in Dallas. Looking for a good Spider-Man or Batman comic book? Best comic book store in Dallas, hands down. Great selection on old and new comic books and extremely well organized. They have bins of 50 cent comics, 1 dollar comics and 2 dollar comics which are always fun to dig through. The staff is super friendly and theyll even order you stuff they dont have in stock. Ive checked out almost all the comic book stores in the Dallas area and Awesome Comics stands out as the best one.

Love this place. Have been shopping here for 10 years. From the first day I was treated with respect. The guys here are very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a COMIC BOOK store so no card games or anything like that which is fine by me. Anyone who has any problem with this store is probably just mentally unstable or just has no idea how to live life.

Jake and Rich are awesome. They treat you like a long time customer from the get go. Great place to take the kids as they are very cool with kids. You wont be disappointed as you get discounts from day one.

Excellent shop for comics. 50 cent bins, $1 bins, and $2 bins. Staff knows their stuff and will help you find what youre looking for. Lots of older comics (Gold, Silver, Bronze). They also have a 20% off subscription service and offer discounts on most everything in the store! You can beat your kids but you cant beat that! I get my subs, figures, statues, AND I can scratch that itch to go digging, if the mood strikes. Why go anywhere else?

Ive been going to this place since I was a kid in the mid-90s. Very personable staff that will actually geek out with you about the series that you love (because they read and love em too!), help you find what you are looking for, and try to get a hold of it if they dont have it (within reason). The back issues section is the biggest that I have seen at any store in the area (with a pretty solid sized $1 and .50 comics section that you can find gems in), great selection of prior weeks of current comics, and they have a pretty good selection of toys too. They will also give anyone who comes in a 10% discount off of nearly everything just for coming in!

I live in Sherman and I make the drive for this place. Im a relatively new collector and I dont feel intimidated in the store by the customers or the staff. The owner has been really helpful finding exactly what I may be looking for, and always gives great deals. Ill continue to be a regular from here on out.

Hands down the best comic shop in the metroplex! Jake and Ritchie are super friendly, and they have an amazing amount of back issues at great prices. Every time I come by theyve got my new books pulled, bagged, and boarded for me.

Ive been to at least 10 comic book shops in DFW, this place is probably the best store we have. The owner is a really cool guy and understands the many different types of customers that walk in his store and he knows how to treat them with great customer service. Also, they have the largest 50 cent- $1 section of comics in the metroplex, over 30 long boxes of decent books all nicely bagged n boarded. Theirs a reason why this store has been so successful for 25 plus years, they know how to treat customers. If u havent been here yet, its a shop all comic book collectors should check out whether u collect golden age, silver, bronze, copper, or modern or if u just like to read good books for great prices like i do. Truly the most Awesome comic book store around!

Their selection is pretty vast a lot of back issues also currents are well organized and in great shape, and the store is kept in pretty good shape my only dislike is the spacing which is tolerable however during sales it can be a little hectic. I really enjoyed the atmosphere definitely would recommend to stop by and look at their selection.

Cool characters both inside the pages and inside the store. These guys have a great since of humor and or knowledgeable concerning the products they sell. They also offer pre-order without advance paymebt, pre-pay options and reminder calls when a rare item arrives at the store.

Intimate store with lots of back issues. Theyll even call you when they get a specific title you were looking for if they were out.

Went looking for funko pops. The employees were nice. However I saw a punisher pop figure and asked how much it was. It was 19.99 there because it was an walgreens exclusive. The guy a the counter offered me 10% off but I left deciding it was too much for a bobblehead. I went to the walgreens a couple stores down to check their pops selection and surprise surprise there was the same figure for 8.99. What a joke man!

The word awesome is the right choice for this place.

I have been going to this place for about six or so years. It was a first place I picked when I got back into the hobby. I havent had any issues that were not resolved. There a few comic stores near my area but I by pass everyone of them to go to this.
