I have used this company for years. They will never try to sell you what you don’t need. They are honest good people. Since Chris has taken over the office, I can guarantee he will take good care of you. He will not put a bandage on the issue, he will talk to you, in terms you understand, about what needs to be done. He knows his stuff. I recommend Tranformers to everyone I know.

First Rick is not a ASE certified.... I have known Rick since he was a service hand at Adventure. Some of his guys are ASE. Which means they have more knowledge than he does. So if you need sound mechanical advice speak to one of them. Second Rick has to pay for the new shop. And big shops have big overhead !!!! that means everyone who uses their services must understand this. He must meet a certain quota financially per bay. If you are thinking about or having your transmission rebuilt with them. Take heed and listen if anyone there talks to you about a Lifetime Warranty .... if it’s not in the pamphlet thats is provided ask them to write it down. when you bring it back !!! it’s not a lifetime warranty. anymore. You can get the same rebuild transmission at other shop for half the cost and same Warranty. (DO YOUR RESEARCH) I did not. After reading the reviews you decide how many were Friends, Employees, Family, and how many were customers. Watch out for the old IT’S UNDER WARRANTY AS LONG AS YOU OWN THE CAR. THANKS, GOD BLESS.

Yeah Ive always heard they do good work I dont really doubt that they do good work my problem with them was the price I was quoted to put an engine in my 99 Chevy suburban and then when I declined the word I had to pay $99 for them to tell me what I told them when I sent it to them

This place is the most honest repair shop I have been to. We were driving down from Nashville and the transmission in my car went out. They talked through out options, allowed us to talk through our options in their amazing waiting room, and is going to allow us to leave our car while AAA comes to get it. I have NEVER been to a place that was so honest and supportive of a decision that is going to make them $0. If we lived closer, they would be our go to. Amazing Christian business. I got to say for my first transmission repair these guys are awesome, probably the best customer service around. They get the job done make sure it’s done right until it’s good to give back to the customer. They also worked an hour over just to make sure I get my vehicle back cause I needed it. I would recommend these guys to everybody I know. It was very affordable price for a transmission, not many places you go you will get customer service AND the quality of work but you get it all at Trans-Formers.

This place worked on my husbands truck about 6 times before we just decided to pick it up and take it elsewhere. They was unable to fix our air conditioning in our truck and was calling auto zone getting the opinion of a employee there about a part and how to fix it after taking it else where we contacted them and asked for our money back and was told we voided our warranty with them because we let some else repair it, they had 6 times to work on it and was incapable of fixing it. They don’t test they guess they cracked my dash and said it was already cracked then blamed all the bad experiences on their shop manager they fired not taking any responsibilities for their shop or their bad work . We wouldn’t recommend this shop to any one very bad experience

Prices are too steep for me I can buy a brand new Trans from monster for what the said the base rebuild price was

How do you reseal a transmission without disassembly? Yall did it under Rick. So I need an answer.

So as a single mom I wasn’t sure where to take my car...I saw their new location a decided to give them a try. My car was shaking whenever I accelerated and the faster I went the harder it would shake. I dropped it off after hours on Monday, they kept my car til late afternoon on Thursday. Everyday I would call them and they would say they are still testing, that they couldn’t figure it out. Checked my brakes, spark plug, axles....etc. So on the 3rd day I called back around 1:00 and he said he figured it out it was my transmission and it would be $3,000 and that I could just come pick it up. I had a bad feeling so I wanted a second opinion. Took it somewhere else he drove it with me in the car and immediately said it was my axle. He checked my car out, and it was my axle....$200 fix. Car drives super smooth now. I don’t even think trans formers looked at my car. No one take your car here, if you do, get a second opinion before they work on it.

Your son Chris told me your engine code says you need a sensor in your transmission, if you let me do a transmission service while I replace the sensor, I won`t charge you additional labor. The transmission service is on the invoice, BUT NOT THE SENSOR! DID you change the sensor?You broke my oil dipstick tube and destroyed my dipstick, the mounting brackets on the air intake resonator were also snapped off, so it`s just flopping around and did not even connect it to the engine, and you just left it, like nothing is wrong. Now when I add oil it just pours right back out of the dipstick tube. 1400.00, do you know how hard that money was to come up with? AND the original problem is STILL THERE. If you have anything Trump or Q, on your car, they will FXXK you.

I have had extensive work completed at this Shop! Motor, transmission, brakes, oil changers, starter and alternator ! I have been treated with respect and treated beyond fair! Their work was done in a timely manner and their prices well below other shops in the area! I will only use them for any and all repairs needed in the future ! I took my vehicle to Trans Formers for the first time ever. These guys looked my vehicle over with a fine tooth comb.They did a service with tire rotation for a very fair price. I knew what things my vehicle needs and they confirmed it to me without me telling them. This made me feel good because they were being honest with me and not just trying to get me to spend money. Awesome group of guys to work on your vehicle.

86 K5 Blazer...I called Rick approximately 3 and a half weeks ago from work in Saudi. I informed him my father had given me the above mention Blazer and it had been setting for 4 years. The only thing I required from him was it be good enough to jump in and drive it back to where I live now 2500 miles from Dalton. He accepted the challenge and he and his team NAILED It.I flew into Georgia on Sunday August 18th and left on my journey 20 Aug. We did the entire trip in 43 hours driving in shifts. The only break the Blazer received was for gas and food.Results.... the Blazer used 1 quart of oil and the fan clutch went out around Boise Idaho (nothing to do with them). I will say they went above and beyond any thing I could have expected. Great job...If you allow them the time and items they require to do the job right, you will not be disappointed.Once again thank you for putting up with my constant calls and my micro managing nature Rick.

I just want to say this shop has always taken care of me, very friendly, and trustworthy. From the top to all the techs. Have always done their best to get me in and out in a cery reasonable time frame. I choose this shop for all my automotive needs. Have always done their absolute best to give me the best deal as they are able too. I highly recommend them to all the people I come in contact with. I also know that when they do my work its done and done correctly and they will let you know upfront if its worth doing or not and have always been very honest with me. So if you are questioning if you should use them I say yes you should.

Bad service all around from beginning to end. We were warned by people in dalton not to use them...we learned. i hate being negative but a review based on my experience deserves 1 star, 0 if i could.

Where should I start... I first approached the guys at Trans-former transmissions at about midnight during the week through Facebook. To my surprise, I received an immediate response. I had been looking for someone to replace a differential on my Trailblazer, and it seemed like nobody could do it anytime soon, and the rates were outrageous. I was seeing numbers north of 700 for the repair, and about a week turnaround time. When I asked the guys how quickly they could get my vehicle in, I was told to be there first thing in the morning so they could take a look. Within minutes of arriving, they jumped on the job and had a quote in minutes. $500 and same day turnaround. They were already $200 less than the cheapest quote I had received and certainly much quicker. They got to work on it, and we ran into an issue. There were a series of problems with my vehicle which is what caused the front differential to give out. Parts needed for the repair were now going to be over $800 new, but that was completely out of their control. What they did next completely blew me away. They had me come in and sit down, and we discussed options to get me back on the road for less than that. They came up with a solution and had parts in the following morning. Now here I was staring at the original $500 quote plus the new $800 parts needed, way more than I could do at the time. However, the guys found a solution for me that ended up costing me just $400, yes, $100 less than my original quote. They understood my urgent need for the vehicle and had it ready within hours. So not only did they finish it in lightning speed, but they saved me $900!!!! I will always be bringing my business to the guys. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs work done. It is amazing to see shops that still care about their customers, and do a quality job for a reasonable right. Good job guys, you have earned a customer for life.

Im new to the area and obviously without knowing a mechanic, you could only expect to be taken advantage of. The transmission seized on my Mustang and when I tried to contact a local shop, no one answered. Upon arrival of the tow truck, I used the next closest option, Trans-formers. Unfortunately the transmission needed replacing, but it was handled professionally and as if I had known them for years. When I first arrived in the office, I overheard a conversation with another customer and how this lady was being overpriced at another shop. Just to catch a glimpse of how she was being treated here was very reassuring. Within a couple days, my Mustang was getting me around town again. Since we just moved to the area and not knowing anyone, I think we had some unforeseen help. We definitely felt more welcome after the experience we had with Trans-formers. Thanks a lot!

This is a great place! Very quick and easy repairs and the best prices in town! The staff is very friendly and nice to work with as well.

Save yourself the time, money, and stress by buying your own OBD Scanner and getting the codes read yourself (especially if you own a bmw). They’ll charge you $250 to diagnose, rush through it, replace a part and not even make sure it fixed what you brought it in for. (And take a week to do it) Google helped me fix my car cheaper and better than this place. DIY! Mechanics only want your money, they don’t care if your car runs any better after the $500 dollar part you just bought. 2 stars, 1 for effort and 1 just to be nice.

I had a tune up and catalytic converter work done on my 2012 Acura TSX and could not be happier!! A great shop and very clean with very nice employees. My car runs better than ever and was not charged for work I didnt need. They even gave me credit for my diagnostic fee!!! If you have a vehicle the needs work this is the place to go.

Had bought a truck from someone in cookville, Tn was told it was just a 40.00 part I was stressed to the no end. The guys at this shop are so helpful an very up front about everything, I given a word about our Lord an not everyone might like that, but I did an I needed to hear the word as what good is it gonna do to stress over something I have no control over an as far as the people who sold me the truck Ive forgave them an have them to my Father above no need to be angery about any of it the good thing is now my truck is quite as a mouse an runs very good. They went above and beyond their initial duty of just repairing my transmission and ended up fixing about 5 other things and never charged me for them and always promised to stay within the quote even when they lost money repairing my car because it had so many underlying problems we didnt know about.

Jeeze. Where to begin. I had a car up there for a long time. I confirmed that it was ok to get stuff done in it slowly due to them being busy.I got screwed by a guy in Tennessee that was going to rebuild my engine, stock, for 1400 bucks. He did, but refused to install it. So it sat, in the car, in the yard for close to a year. The engine seized up.I towed it to this business, and asked if they could do a performance build. They said sure. But it will take while, as they are busy, and they have to hire someone that knows their stuff.I should have walked.I told them that I could, source the parts for the build, that they are all big name brand (no junk), if it would be easier. They did that was fine.I bought heads, cam, a good block, an intake, and everything. I also sourced a built transmission and torque converter, and the parts needed to complete the job.Once they started on it, it took them 3 months to finish a build.It ran, rough, but since I did not have a pcm burnt yet, I know itd be off.They broke my shift linkage.They half asked the final build.They didnt know hook the vacuum lines up.They broke the rear transmission seal when installing.Things are just wire tied, instead of held down by fasteners.They overfilled the transmission..... By a lot.They didnt put the interior back together.The brake booster check valve all of a sudden stopped working while there.They bent my door hinge.They charged me 500 more dollars than quoted for a performance build, one that I deigned.At the end of the nightmare, I was told, we cant warranty anything because you bought the parts.Now, that I fixed all their incompetence, now I have a coolant plug leaking. So I have to eat the 200 more in towing and labor because they cant seem to do a complete, thorough job.Ill never, ever go there again. I paid 2300 labor/fluids/etc, on top of 3500 for engine and transmission parts for a car that isnt safe for the road.Avoid them.
