This is a fine store. A mens store and a ladys store. Also, home furnishings. It has high quality merchandise. They tailor items in store. It will not be as inexpensive as the major big box stores, to be expected. But, like my girlfriend said the slacks she found will be used for many dressy events. Im actually surprised these stores are still around, but glad it was!

We loved are dinner at DJ s. Was very good. So many machines were closed down. Machines did not pay.

The customer service of this place is wonderful, if you fit their demographic. I used to come here all the time and everyone was always so nice and helpful, then I dyed my hair an unnatural color and suddenly only the employees who seem under the age of 25 will greet me when I come into their section.

Love this wonderful store They have been in the Quad Citys since way back,Remember when Downtown Davenport thrived?They were Peterson Von Maur,&The Loft,really cool clothes,shoes,gifts of all kinds,from toys to personal items, all a good ol department store should have,back in the day,in the basement of Petersons we could go to their coffee shop,/diner,for fries&a pop,now,they are a very upscale store,but you can find many great buys in all depts.Check them out,at Northpark Mall,,Davenport .

I rated it 5 stars not because I ever buy stuff here. Im not a very spend happy person. But every time I get anxious at the mall from crowds of people and too much caffeine, I listen to their piano player.Im now conditioned that if I need a soothing place to slow my heartbeat down, I sit and listen in this store.The atmosphere and the piano, its naturally soothing.

Well, where else IS there to shop in Davenport?? Von Maur has hung in there through the ages, and there is a great reason for that.... GREAT Customer Service, Attentive Sales Associaties, Excellent Selection Of Fine Merchandise, and SO much more. Every department is staffed properly with lovely associates to help with all your needs. Make sure you visit the Sale Shoe Room!!!! Spacious Restroom, Are for Nursing Mothers’ for Privacy as well. Jake in Fine Jewelry is AWESOME! He helped me get my J Hardy bracelet repaired from the vendor, always kept me updated on the status of my item, calls when something I love goes on sale or if there is a Special Event. He is at the Northpark Mall Store, my favorite! Go see for your self how nice it is here!

Theres an indian lady by childrens aisle. Anytime my husband is around she comes and say hi to him ask him if he needs any help without even looking at my face. Once Im alone shes no help. Very unprofessional I dont even like to go to childrens part if I see her.

It was OK....

Recently went in to have an item gift wrapped.Layed the item on the counter and was greeted with a unfriendly look. That was when I said I would like to have this gift wrapped please. She then said, this is not from our store.I said no maam.She then said it’s going to be a $15 fee.I said no problem.She was very short when asking me for my information and told me it would be about 10 minutes, 20 minutes later I received a text to come pick it up.The package looked like a child wrapped it.You could see all of the tape, the bow was ridiculous and the paper had no type of uniformity.I cant wrap a present to save my life, which is why I didnt have a problem with paying to have it done.Normally, I have Dillards wrap all my gifts..They do an amazing job but they only wrap items from their store (wasnt aware of that).Long story short... I cant imagine ANYONE paying for the type of service that I received at VonMaur. Wont be back.

Von Maur is a class act. Counter help is not always easily accessible but once you find someone they are generally enthusiastic and engaged.
