I had an eye exam with Dr Jalene Haynes, she was very professional and pleasant. The staff was very professional and helpful. I ordered 2 pairs of glasses one sunglasses and one reading, very pleased with both. The staff and service are great.
I had an exam and ordered glasses...$798 for 1 pair, Thursday, October 8th, using my Humana insurance. I called the following Monday morning to cancel my order and was told the lab would be called and IF the order could be cancelled and the owner would have to approve my requested refund. I was also told I would get a call verifying the cancellation. I called again Friday, as no return call was received by me. Lack of help. being very busy and being human were the excuses received as to why I have not received a follow up call. I am now ar the mercy of the billing department, the owner, and Amy as to when I will receive my refund and a copy of my prescription. What has happened to customer service?
I was very impressed with Vision One.The people were so friendly and caring.Went for exam.Kayla put drops in my eyes. She Waverly nice..Had to go back 3 weeks later for a yag procedure everything went well.Dr Patel was the nicest Doctor. And Amy helped with my glasses. She was a great lady called when they came in followed though with the order.I reccomend them thank
Made an appointment while @ the office and had them put on an appointment card for me. The appointment was for 2weeks in advance. The Tues before they call me to confirm my appointment day and time. The day was correct but they had changed the time to a much earlier time that day. When I told her that I had an appointment card that confirmed my scheduled time she told me that was NOT my appointment time and the woman was argumentative and told my that was my time and there was nothing they could do about it so I would have to reschedule. When I asked them to reschedule any of the appointments they had booked in my time slot the woman was uncoroprative and down right rude. She said she absolutely could not change someone elses appointment, even though that is exactly what they did to me. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
Vision One on Mason Avenue (Covance Plaza) are the worst business. It doesnt even deserve 1 star. If you have Humana, go to Total Vision. Vision One is concerned about money! When I had my exam, a tech put drops in my eyes before giving me the eye chart exam. I told him I couldnt see and my right eye burned. (Burned for 4 days). The eye doctor came in, I asked him how much my vision changed, he said well bump it up a bit and walked out. After my insurance paid them $250 and I paid $360, on August 20th, I was told I would have my glasses in 10-14 business days. I didnt hear back. I called today only to be told the technician is on medical leave and they dont know when hell be back. UNACCEPTABLE!Im going back to the store and if they cant get my glasses by Friday, I want my cash back until my glasses come in, I will then pay them.I have never heard of a place where there is no back up employee to do a job. This Vision One does not belong to the Better Business Bureau. AVOID AT ALL COST!
I accidentally stuck my left eye with the arm of my glasses and I immediately ran to my vision one as I almost Poked out!!!From the receptionist to eye dr they surrounded me with love, compassion and took me right in and inspected my eye injury! They Made appointment for me to come in every two days for over a week checking and reassured me my eye would heal! 2 months later it’s fine!! The greatest staff and doctors especially dr Patel!! Thanks to everyone as I was scared!!! It’s all good
Cold, indifferent (mom got lost 30 min. due to GPS lost signal) Refused to see her because late, although people were sitting waiting (and when she came before she has had to wait)
Vision one called and had me come in a hour before my appointment. I waited 2 hours. I went to the desk and asked why 5 people came in after me and went back. They had no explanation as why. I asked how much longer I would have to wait. They replied another 40 min. Or so. It was a hour drive there. I will get a different referral to a better eye doctor !
Having vision problems so my doctor sent a referral and its vision one. My appointment isnt till December 28th. In the last six weeks I lost vision in both eyes for a few minutes. Two weeks ago lost vision for a few minutes in my left eye. I called to try and get an earlier appointment because Ive been worried Ill lose sight again and maybe it wont come back next time. The lady said she would call me back. That was 6 days ago. However Im not really that surprised after reading all the other reviews.
I have never been seen at the time of my Appointment. Always at least 39 minutes late
My mom was never told that at her apt today she would be having yag procedure. I wait in running car ...gas low, we did not have lunch. Still waiting IN car because gaud forbid people be allowed in! Dont even get me started on fact that I have to use BR! There should be a waiting area for family members to wait comfortably! Covid 19 or not! This is rediculous
Very inconvenient! Website lists hours 8-5! Should be 8-12 and 1:30-5! How is someone supposed to go on their lunch break of 45min when they are closed for lunch for 1 1/2 hours..... for lunch! Customer service is not what it used to be....will be looking for a new eyeglass provider!
I paid over 500.00 for glasses and contacts which were not right I went back 3 times .i couldn’t drive at night with them they made me dizzy and I couldn’t read with them .the 3rd time I returned them to get my refund which it was way before the 30 days . It wasn’t my fault they couldn’t get it right and want to charge me 20 percent restocking fee. No iam not paying for your mistakes.
Note: this review is actually being written for Fran Reese and the glasses are for her mother. First I am very hesitant to write a bad review because I think it is important to be fair as reviews can be as bad as they can be good for a business. So I dont write this without true consideration. With that said my first complaint is that we were told by the doctor the shipping for one pair of glasses would be $5. Then the women that does the ordering told me it would be $15 for regular mail not even expedited. No explanation or simple apology for the doctor giving the wrong information. From my experience $15 shipping is pretty excessive for one pair of glasses. Secondly my mother notified she had not received her glasses in the mail so I checked up with the office and was told, yes they are here, but not shipped yet. To be fair maybe they just received them and had not shipped yet. No explanation was forthcoming. Five days after I was told the office was putting them in the mail the glasses were still not received. I called back and was told they should arrive today, we will see I guess. Finally she gave us a tracking number and said you can check it out. But all that is not the main concern really, even thought my mother needed those glasses. I hate rude behavior, especially when your paying a lot of money to this office. I was calm and polite speaking to the office person the entire time. I just dont think it is the way to treat your customers with rude and condescending attitudes. No glasses today...
My daughter had an eye exam in October and here we are in December, and I still have not received my daughters glasses.. . When I call to find out whats going on, they keep giving me all of these different excuses... they have absolutely no customer service skills what so ever... always in a rush to get people off of the phone and they dont even bother to call the customer if there is any kind of issues or delays.... I would NOT recommended going here for glasses... . They told me on November 27th my daughters glasses would be ready in a week, then today when I call, they tell me they wont be ready until next week because they did not pass final exam.. . Well thanks for calling me to inform me. . . NOT.. ...
Nice place with great customer service & variety of glasses.
Vision One has some good doctors. My mother sees Dr Purcell and he is thorough and seems to take enough time w/ patients to accurately assess their needs.Vision One is also a corporation with multiple offices. That in itself is not a problem; however, have noticed in the last several years that large medical practices tend to focus on efficiency rather than efficacy. My mother goes here because of her insurance.VO frequently has long wait times. Although our last office visit was scheduled for 10 am, and we arrived 10 minutes early, the waiting room was full and we waited for 40 min before being seen for the preliminary check. We left the office at 11:30 am. There was only one person in the waiting room when we left. The waiting is not efficient for the patient, but it is financially efficient for VO.The student doctor who did the preliminary assessment was rushed. She spoke quickly and not loudly for patients who are hard of hearing. We have often felt herded down the assembly line when coming in for appointments. My primary issue with VO, however, is that they make no allowance for emergencies with established patients. My mother had an infected eye that came on suddenly on Wednesday and grew worse on Thursday. Thursday we tried to get an appointment on Friday, but were told the soonest she could come in would be Mon or Tues. No one was available or on call over the weekend. When your eye is inflamed and growing worse, a few days can be a long time to wait, esp when you dont know what kind of infection or what is causing it. Given that the Daytona location has 6 optometrists and 2 ophthalmologists, youd think someone could be on call.A couple months later, her eye was poked and, as we later discovered, the cornea was scratched. We called the day after it happened to get an appt asap, but were told it would be several days before anyone at VO could see her. Again, a situation where were not sure how severe the damage is and the pain and irritation from the scratch is hard to deal with.Ultimately, weve wound up going to an independent optometrist closer to home and paying out of pocket for these emergencies. VO needs to change its policies on patient access to emergency care after office hours and on weekends and holidays.
Had a terrible interaction with a rude receptionist. She is a white older female who looks like a skull with skin stretched over it who is completely unprofessional.
Another bad experience, had an appt and was told when we arrived dr was not there today, had the tests done and was told they get back to us with results in a few days, three weeks later still waiting, with is going on there!
Great staff, great doctors especially Dr.Haynes.
Poor customer service in Port Orange office, poor quality of frames & overpriced.
HORRIBLE they over charged my grandma multiple times, screwed up her cataract surgery, then harassed her over the phone about her insurance, refused to request a referral from Humana and canceled her appointment after lying about it...disgusting lack of empathy and predatory tactics to steal from you and your insurance
Good they are very nice
