We knew that we were going to a place where we would pay more for the vehicle, we knew that this was the place to go if you need help with credit (we were even referred by a friend at a dealership which speaks volumes to us and about Ideal as a company!). I know I am paying more than I would at a dealership with traditional financing, but Jeremy White was great. And we realized that we went to grade school together during the sale, and it was great catching up. So I could not be happier with the experience so far. My daughter will love the car and my wife and I will love that!

Go to a mechanic before you purchase and have them check the car because once you purchase it they will not fix anything even if it’s been only three or four days.They are the nicest people at the purchase that is soon as you sign that line they are no longer your friend They will hang up on you when you call them. They will charge you for every single thing you do including paperwork. They will tell you to get in touch with there attorney and then not give you any information on how to get a hold of them. Class action lawsuit is coming very soon I hope they understand what a mess They made for themselves. Go to anywhere else but here and you will see that the service is absolutely amazing Compared to hear not to mention they prey on people who have bad credit by charging you $18-$20,000 for a car that cost two to $3000.

Shady company with overpriced cars they will not fix anything if something goes bad they always claim that it is not within the warranty. Always always always take the vehicle to a certified mechanic because you don’t wanna get into a situation where something goes wrong two days or two weeks after you buy it and they tell you you’re out of luck because it’s not covered. They are extremely nice when they’re selling you the car as soon as the deal is signed they will not be the same and nice people they were previously. A lot of the reviews they have seem to be fake as there are hundreds of people who do not like this company read the negative reviews and I will give you a more realistic view of how your relationship with them will transpire after you’ve completed the paperwork

I asked to speak to a manager and was transferred to the Matoon store manager (Katrina) and she told me that she cant help me and its my choice if I want to buy from them or not! She was not qualified to be a manager. NO people skills. I was going to spend $17,000 on a car but NOT HERE!!!!

I emailed my check stubs twice due to having a new employer and they refuse to change my due dates!!!! Im extremely upset and I cant wait to purchase a new vehicle!!!!!

Ive never missed a payment with Ideal. I have paid on time for 3 years. I sent them 3 customers. Near the end of my payments (I owed just 2500) they sent me threatening emails and texts saying that they would repossess the car because I didnt have full coverage auto insurance. I did have full coverage, I just changed it to another insurance company. I sent them a copy of the insurance, the Insurance person was very rude and aggressive in here emails, saying I didnt have them on as the lien holder. 3 years I made on time payments on this car and instead of them just calling and saying it was an error in my insurance, they immediately threatened me, treated my like I was a criminal and not a customer. In fact they treated me as if they were doing me a favor by allowing me to purchase a car there. These people have no understanding of customer service etiquette. The person handling the insurance was quite coarse with her elocution and manner. She never be allowed to deal with the public. Their method of contacting their customers with these threatening texts and emails is really ridiculous. No one else in the business behaves that way. I would have never suggested to my friends to purchase a car from this company had I know they were like this. What people need to honestly do, is stop buying cars from Ideal Auto. They treat people this way because they deal mostly with people who do not have the credit or income to go to a larger more professional dealership. We need to stop allowing people to treat people this way and teach them a hard lesson by not purchasing any cars from them. We also need to make complaints to the Better Business Bureau about these threats. I really wanted to give them no stars but the review wouldnt allow me to post if I didnt. Stay away from Ideal Auto, I dont care what your situation. Wait, be patient, find another dealership. If you are in Decatur, Illinois Bod Ridings has programs for people with no credit, bad credit etc., but dont deal with Ideal.

I originally purchased my car at the Bloomington location, which although pricy, wasn’t too bad. Since Bloomington closing it’s store, I have had to do all my business regarding my vehicle through the Decatur location. The staff is 10x less friendly and helpful. I sent an email question and got a response “what is going on”. I then called to discuss my question, and one of the staff HANG UP on me because I was asking about payments options. Unless you’re dying for a vehicle and this is your absolute last option, I’d suggest avoiding it.

Me and my wife didn’t really have good enough credit to go through another dealership so we chose to try this we got a 2008 Dodge Caravan not what we wanted but we have a family of 6 and needed something we had a van picked out but couldn’t get it because they wanted another $1000 down as we was already putting $2000 down BS if you ask me the guy who put us into the van said there was nothing wrong with it what so ever, had it for about a week brakes started grinding, tail light went out, ac stopped working after 2 times of taking it to the shop brakes finally got fixed and ac recharged, not even a couple days later we was in the van and the vents started smoking and smelling like something was burning so we shut the ac off, now my wife went to use the van the other day and the battery was dead no biggie jumped it now when she shut it off battery is dead again get a hold of them and all they have to say is get a hold of our service department when they don’t even answer half of the time anyways and they never have time to fix your vehicle or they put it off. I recommend Never getting a vehicle from here we found out the hard way now I’m stuck paying over $400 a month for something that just sits in my driveway, they feed you a bunch of lies about a vehicle not having any issues and being looked over just to make a sale and another dollar!

Ive purchased several cars from Ideal Auto Sales and never had a problem with any of my vehicles. High interest rates, but understandable because theyre financing people who have fair to poor credit. This is a great way of establishing or rebuilding your credit if you make your payments on time. My credit was ruined due to a divorce but fortunately is very much improved from the purchase of my vehicles.

I have purchased 4 vehicles from Ideal. My credit was always in a bad place when I needed a car or I would have went elsewhere. They show NO LOYALTY to the customer. I even paid 2 of the vehicles off early. This past year I bought a car for $14k that book priced for $10k!! So, I asked for a discount based on my excellent payment history, purchases and the fact that theyre overcharging by 4 grand and want 25% on financing!! NOTHING! No negotiations, no consideration, no acknowledgment. They say they gave me a few points off of my financing. LOL Ill pay the vehicle off in November of this year. Its worth it to be done feeling unappreciated as a loyal customer.

Jeremy was a good salesman I got a 2012 nissan Sentra not what I wanted but its a solid vehicle great customer service there was something wrong with the vehicle but was told once the part came in they would call me to replace it was nothing but a window switch but driving it I noticed there was a knocking noise no big deal I thought it could be just because it is cold but found out that its actually the timing chain tensioner ideal schedueld an appointment to replace the part and fix the vehicle other than that I have no complaint. I received a letter today stating that I didnt show proof of collateral insurance when I got my car however, I got ideals collateral insurance which is 15.00 a month I believe is what it stated when I got the car and I hope it stays at 15.00 and I am not charged more.I feel people that down grade this company eathier missed there payment or dont fully understand the policy some cars have to go to the dealer for certain repairs and if ya dont update your insurance with ideal yes they have every right to take your vehicle. I do have a 5 star lawyer in play if they try any funny business not to mention one of my family members is a judge.
