Excellent place to grab some delicious gelato!! Cute and pleasant interior and friendly staff. And there’s quite a few spots outside to sit and enjoy your treat!

A few days ago I came across an article in Food & Wine magazine titled, “The Best Ice Cream In Every State”. After just over an hour drive to judge for myself, I’ll simply say it was worth every mile travelled! My wife said it best when asked to describe her Banana Pudding & Devil Food Cake Gelato…”Perfect!” Meredith’s pleasant personality was an added bonus!

We love it here! The owner and all staff are sweet and welcoming. And we are obsessed with all of the seasonal gelato flavors.

Clean quaint icecream shop with about 8-10 seasonal flavors. Brownies were thick and not the best we have had. Almond joy is very tasty and wasnt over powered nut or coconut flavor. The owner has incredible customer service. Overall pretty cool place to try if youre in the area.

Finally we visited Cremalosa, after making plans several times. We parked opposite the physical therapy center and took a round of the 1st level. Could not find Cremalosa, so had to call and ask. Seems its on the second level. The little board at the stairs has an almost faided, hand written words mentioning that its up the stairs. We wanted to taste several flavors prior to ordering, and the associate was happy to help. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. A few of the flavors I tried had a hint of egg odor. It is especially noticeable to vegetarians.I finally settled for almond joy and lemon cherry. Both are worth trying.

Every visit to Cremalosa is a treat. I love discovering new flavors as the selection is constantly rotating. I am particularly fond of the delicious sorbetti that are light and refreshing, often featuring fresh fruits. Meridith and her team always does a top notch job! This establishment is truly a credit to the Decatur community!

This place was awesome! The Gelato was delicious! It was so good, I didnt even get to take a pic as I was too busy shoveling it into my mouth like the lady I am😁. The staff was super friendly and answered questions and offered suggestions. I definitely want to come back for a boozy shake. They have a full bar there and will incorporate the Gelato into drinks. The outside eating area was very clean and pretty.

I don’t usually write reviews but I 100% want to support this locally owned gelato shop so it stays around forever! The shop owner is so sweet and friendly and every flavor I’ve tried is amazing. My favorite is the hazelnut crema! We’ve also ordered 2 gelato birthday cakes from here and they’ve quickly become our must-have birthday cakes. Please support this business and you will not be disappointed!

My wife and I have been here 2-3 times and we have to say this is the best gelato shop around! I forgot the owners name but she is an absolute sweetheart. Our first time coming here was around closing time on a Friday or Saturday night and she was extremely nice to us while we were checking out the inventory. Highly recommend!

The staff are nice, price seems reasonable. Despite the hype, I couldnt say the flavor is really the best in the state even from my own limited experience. But my daughter did enjoy it.

The banana pudding flavor was to DIE for. So flavorful and tasted just like I was eating banana pudding! Super friendly staff, as well. I am glad we finally checked it out!

The best gelato in Atlanta? Its the best I know of. Traditional and creative flavors. Its located in the MARTA Courtyard of the condo complex. Park in front of the Savings and Loan and walk up the stairs to the right.

One of the best ice creams that I have tried in a long time, very well done! I loved the strawberry shortcake. Meredith was pleasant and provided us a splendid service. We will come back.

The best ice cream I can remember having was at Vivoldi in Florence. Gelato at Cremalosa brought back every memory of flavor, texture, and satisfaction that I enjoyed years ago. 7 of us ordered split scoops and no one left disappointed or could think of ice cream that like better. This wont be a secret for long.

Stop what youre doing, and go! The gelato is delicious, the owner and the staff are kind, and there are plenty of outdoor seats to sit and enjoy. Getting a scoop of gelato or something more should be high up there with getting a massage, your nails done, honestly its one of the cheapest forms of therapy. I am in love with my pistachio gelato, and I will be coming back for more flavors... and for pints!

Perfect gelato!! Who knew?Right here in Decatur next to Avondale estates.Well, I guess we were the last to know but so glad we found out.Really- Italian- level quality gelato with the perfect expected gelato mouth feel. Creamy, flavorful, balanced- WOW.We got a Valentine’s Day kit that included a pint of ice cream, two Grenache iced brownies and the most wonderful chocolate sauce. The owner called it her hot fudge, but this is so much better than that; Darker chocolate, perfect consistency...this place is a treat. We highly recommend it!

The gelato was very good, but the boozy shake missed the mark. The shake wasnt thick at all. I still definitely plan to go back and give them another shot! Updated - I didnt try the shake, but the gelato is very creamy and delicious.

Wish I could eat Cremalosa gelato all day every day and never gain weight! I’m so picky about ice cream in general and gelato in particular, and I can honestly say this is the best gelato I’ve ever had. Now I can’t just pick up a pint of any old ice cream at the grocery store, I’m spoiled!

I was born and spent most of my life in Northern Italy where I have grown up with artisan gelato available 5 min away. Well, now after 14 years in the US I am spectacularly happy to have Cremalosa 5 min away from my house, again. Meredith knows one thing or two about real gelato. Low sugar, low fat, fresh in season fruits locally sourced...they way gelato is intended to be. You can skip a lunch or dinner and have a nutritious meal by eating real gelato. This is a dream.

A taste of Italy in Decatur GA. What a beautiful place with outstanding delectable desserts. The Gelato is delicious and the Sorbetto fantastic. You will not be disappointed. Everything is made fresh and the owner is graciously friendly, knowledgable and courteous. I just love this gem and would highly recommend.

Wonderful gelato, with a generous single-scoop size and nice outdoor seating. Ive liked every flavor Ive gotten here. Last time I visited they sold cloth masks with nice designs, with small (child) and medium (adult) sizes.

Most underrated gelato place in ATL.

First time visit this afternoon. Gotta say I had no complaints! The staff were very friendly. I got birthday cake and chocolate brownie gelato which were both very good. My husband got a bailey infused milkshake which he also liked. This seems like a perfect place to go after dinner when I want something sweet and he wants a drink. They also took a lot of care in keeping us safe with outdoor seating 6 feet apart, lots of disinfecting, masks, etc. so no worries there. We live in the area and will be back.

All the gelato flavors are what your thinking when you read the flavor sign. They have espressos too! There is a flavor/s for every sweet craving theme! The outdoor veranda is spacious and so beautiful - very relaxing no Corona worries here! Kids can run around while your sitting with your hon.

Seriously one of the best Gelato places. Prices are very reasonable, and the owner is so nice! The Gelato itself is soooo good. We live very close and its hard to stop ourselves from getting some every weekend lol! I highly recommened it.

Cremalosa has an amazing menu that has a lot of variety. The staff is always warm and welcoming and extremely helpful. I have not had much Gelato in my life, but I definitely love coming here at least twice a week. I would recommend trying it if you are in the area!

The store seems is at 2nd floor of a (new fancy) apartment, facing a shared, vast mezzanine (?). It made me kind of feel I found my secret spot (lots of customers were hanging out at the tables outside though). Also kids friendly at the mezzanine as long as they dont go downstairs. Inside is clean, person was nice. Plenty tables and chairs are available outside (covid-friendly). Good variety of gelato and needless to say it was delicious. Nice cozy spot.

Our neighborhood favorite! From sorbetto to boozy milkshakes to birthday cakes, you can’t go wrong at Cremalosa. The patio is also an excellent place to sit and enjoy the gelato.

First gelato not from grocery store, yum will ho back again and again

I spent a summer studying in Italy in college, have been back a few times since and always sought out the best gelato there. Cremalosas gelato is the real deal. I have only been once but I cant wait to go back! I had lemon cherry and it was delicious. Cremalosa can be accessed on foot by the Avondale Marta station bridge that goes over College Ave and pops out on the plaza where the shop is. You can take a bike too but youll need to use the elevator since there are about 10 steps leading up to the bridge that crosses over.

Great addition to Decatur and the Atlanta area. The gelato here is really really good and they offer some very interesting flavors. I liked the fact that everyone was very friendly and helpful and they you can pair flavors. The lemon gelato was amazing! One of the best flavors I have ever had of gelato. Can’t wait to return and try other flavors!

NICE LITTLE GELATO PLACE IN DECATUR!ive been eying this place for a while now since everyone has been raving about it. i got there and was kind of confused about where it was, but sure enough, i found it. theres plenty of parking so no need to worry.there are a variety of classic gelato flavors to choose from. you can get two flavors in one cone which is good if you want to try multiple flavors. i tried a lot of different flavors like cappuccino, cookies and cream, devils food, banana pudding, passion fruit, and almond joy.all of the flavors were creamy, smooth, and nice. i think my favorite was the banana pudding and cookies and cream. i got those two together and they were a lovely pair.overall, i think it was a cute little gelateria! with the number of people mentioning it, i thought it was going to be out of this world. dont get me wrong, its still tasty gelato but for me personally, i dont think its worth all of the hype. id still love to go back again and try more flavors, especially their seasonal ones!
