We loved their unique flavor options. The Blackberry ginger caramel and the Salted Butterscotch were incredible!The ice cream is creamy and flavorful but not overly sweet! So it made our tasting experience actually refreshing and not overwhelmingly sugary.We LOVE that they used local ingredients and you can tell that everything was prepared with care. Very much worth stopping for dessert after dinner at any of the amazing restaurants in the area.

The line was long, and it was hot once you gotten inside, the ordering process was simple you look at the board and choose your flavors, they offer different varieties of vegan ice cream! Was very good...so far been here twice within a month...I would recommend and come again.

Great local ice cream place. Been here a few times now and its never disappointed. Great variety of imaginative flavors and a few old standbys. They also have baked goods and other treats besides ice cream that Ive yet to try but they look delicious. Highly recommended

I’m shocked that this place has such strong reviews. I found their products to be below standards and can definitively say they are not worth their price tag.I had the double brownie sundae. The brownie tasted like dark chocolate and was dry instead of moist and creamy. They heated it but it didn’t help. The butter pecan ice cream on top tasted like plain vanilla. I couldn’t find a single pecan. The toffee topping tasted stale and the whip cream wasn’t any better than the cool whip you buy in the grocery store. It was definitely not worth the $9+. My son had their strawberry ice cream which also didn’t taste great. My daughter had their plain vanilla which also tasted meh. Thankfully my kids aren’t too picky so they ate theirs but mine was so bad, they both thought it tasted gross.The girls behind the counter were nice but honestly, even a chain like Bruster’s is 100% better (and cheaper)!

The staff was accommodating to my allergy and was knowledgeable of their product. The OG Goodness was the best ice cream I have had in a long time. The waffle cone was fresh and you could taste that the ingredients were well-sourced and home-made.

Great non dairy ice cream. Chocolate is amazing, salted caramel is fine, but just go for the chocolate. You wont regret it.

Yesterday I ordered absolutely delicious ice cream for my family. I was wearing my glasses attached with a string over my ears, and a mask with another string over my ears. Underneath these layers was my hearing aide. When I finished reading the list of ice cream choices, I inadvertently dropped my hearing aide. I did not realize I had lost it until late at night. In the morning I called the ice cream shop. Much to my amazement and relief, the lovely salesperson sweetly said she would check the lost and found. She promptly notified me that the hearing aide ( a very expensive and indispensable item, by the way) was found. We drove to the store. The saleswoman quickly retrieved my hearing aide. Not only does this store have outstanding ice cream, but also the nicest people working there. They were kind, polite, and helpful! I cannot thank them enough for being so nice. I would recommend “ Butter and Cream Ice cream “ to anyone who wants the best ice cream ever served by the nicest people anywhere! Also, my granddaughter has terrible peanut allergies. They washed the scoop in the back room so no trace of peanuts might be on the scoop. Then they served her her ice cream treat . I am grateful for stores like yours . Thank you again !

My husbands dream was to have an ice cream cake for our wedding and there was no way I was going to go to a chain. Having no idea what an ice cream wedding cake would look like and not being from the area I called the best looking place I could find. The managers at Butter and Cream were super supportive and even offered to add my own decor. We ended up trying one of their cakes for my birthday and I was blown away. The honeycomb gingerbread combo was to die for and my friends told me they had never been so excited for a wedding cake. For the actual wedding we decided to go with a pistachio rose cake for me and a chocolate midnight snack for him. People were coming up to us all night telling us how it was the most delicious ice cream cake they had ever eaten. It helped make the wedding. Dont worry, we told everyone where it was from because we highly recommend this place to anyone. The only issue I would say is the caramel topping seems to have more trouble than the chocolate staying on as an awareness to those buying

Absolutely love Butter and Cream. Hands down the best ice cream in Atlanta. They cycle through unique flavors year-round while having a constant supply of their classics. Their ice cream cakes and cookie ice cream sandwiches are super delicious too. You cant really go wrong here.

Went here today for some ice cream for the 1st time. Staff is friendly to all however please put on a mask and practice social distancing. They have a nice selection of ice cream flavors to choose from. Good Ice cream but the not the best.

Great place for a sweet treat. Excellent small batch, hand scooped ice cream. The O.G Goodness and Salted Butterscotch are definitely worth a try. They have great toppings and waffle cones too. The pastries and cakes looked good, but I didnt get a chance to try them this time.

Good variety in flavors. Taste and texture appeal. I actually enjoyed the kids size which looks small but provides a satisfying taste if you dont want to overdo sweets.

The best local ice cream around and always a great crew serving it up. If the line looks long (cos everyoneknows how good it is), it moves pretty fast. Seasonal flavors and solid regulars make it always a must have treat.

The best ice cream you can find in the neighborhood. For me as a big fan of ice cream, this place is amazing. They have fresh and tasty ice creams and shakes with different flavors. You can choose 1-3 flavors in a cup or cone. My favorite flavors are OG Goodness, Persian Rose, Honeycomb forest, and of course the chocolate. This is a nice place if you want to hang out with your friends and walk in downtown Decatur. Highly recommended.

My family went to The Brick for dinner. No masks were required. Including host, bartender, & servers. It nice to feel back to normal. We decided to go to ice cream afterwards. Shocking to see no tables or chairs. The young server alone wearing her mask asked that we put on mask to place our order. We have been vaccinated. June 2021 all the shops and restaurants in Decatur free of this ridiculous policy and this small Ice cream shop doesn’t have a place to sit down to eat your ice cream. This Saturday night we had to go out side in the rain.Do not bother entering their sad little store.

Not a happy experience! Bought $34.00 worth of ice cream for 6 people. We went outside to sit at the reserved red tables and then a heavy rain storm came down. We slipped inside the store and they told us we could stay inside because of the rain and then later asked us to leave in the rain so they would not get fired. We were the only customers in the store. They said there were cameras. They could have called their manager to let them know the situation. Poorly run establishment! We will not be returning and I should have asked for a refund!

Their flavors are all hand crafted and they taste wonderful.I have had their OJ goodness, dark chocolate Malbec, two of the coffee flavors, butterscotch brownie, and they were all phenomenal.In the picture you see the bourbon chocolate and OG goodness.Please dont waste your time and money going to Jenis and start going here!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Emory and we found this unexpected gem. We went every single night we were in town and always bought the brownie sundae, but we rotated the ice cream scoops. Of particular mention is the mint ice cream. I seriously dont believe Ill ever be able to judge a mint ice cream fairly after having this one. You can breathe the mint after tasting it, wonderful. The toffee cones and house made peanut butter cup toppings are also excellent. We never tried any other sauces for the sundaes, because the fudge sauce was so intoxicating! Must visit if you love ice cream. Not to mention conveniently located close to a lot of great Pokestops!

So I read the reviews and decided to visit..... the reviews are soooo accurate! Please try the Salted Caramel on Brown Sugar Almond Cookie..... it is super yummy! Im one of those rare birds that dont like chocolate, so its hard to find desserts without chocolate. So I was excited to find something that I could try without chocolate. The cookie was crispy, but not hard. It was light, not too sweet or too almondy, just the right amount of everything. 2 ice cream sandwiches came up to $14.04. They have lots of other treats to choose from, so Ill definitely have to come back. Depending upon the time of day, parking could be an issue, because this is the heart of Decatur. Nice, quaint area and establishment. This should definitely be on your go to list..... bon appétit.

They would not serve me without a mask even though there are no mask mandates anymore.I see no reason to keep continuity between the shops. It’s pretty easy to tell staff not to wear masks at one store versus another.I also believe a business should care about customer comfort which the beltline store did not do so the unscientific fears of your employees require I be uncomfortable.

Unique flavors with amazing taste will leave you wanting more but the two stars were knocked off mainly because of the toppings here. A few of us in the group had different toppings and we complained that they were still tasting, we also heard another customer complaining about stale toppings the prior week.Anyway, definitely check them out the flavors are worth a try. I would for sure come back here again but with the made it myself to just the ice cream with no toppings (excluding comes - reg sugar cone were great).

Best ice cream in Atlanta hands down. My favorite flavors are butterscotch brownie and OG goodness. Also love just getting chocolate or vanilla with their homemade hot fudge! The baked goods are also delicious! Love love love butter and cream.

THERE WAS A HUGE BUG ON THE WALL NEXT TO OUR SEATS. Service was only decent and everything was just a bit overpriced. In addition, we ordered peach cobbler, but we received some other flavor. We couldnt exchange it because that scoop was at the bottom of our cup, so wed already eaten most of the ice cream by the time we got there and realized. Other than that, the butterscotch brownie and butter pecan flavors were amazing.

This store smells really good. I didnt purchase only picked up. They sell waffle cones no cake cones. Parking is a bit inconvenient. Staff was nice. Cant give 5 bc i didnt partake, 1 is wrong bc former so 3 it is.

We love butter and cream. Our favorite flavor is OG Goodness however we recently learned that all of their baked good are made in house. This made us eager to try them. We had the lavender and rosemary cookies and wow wow wow were they amazing. We even tried a new herb seasonal ice cream flavor: basil and pine nut and it was shockingly tasty a must try if youre adventurous! Oh yes and dont forget sprinkles are ALWAYS FREE!!!

I wish I had the same experience that other reviewers have had here, yet I did not. The ice cream was good and its a cute place - clean (who doesnt like clean) yet the customer service was clearly lacking. I would call it more of a disinterest. It was a Saturday night and after having dinner in the square we headed over. While we enjoyed the ice cream, the experience was not enough for us to want to return - sad face:(

I’ve walked past this place a few times while in downtown Decatur but finally had the chance to check it out and it didn’t disappoint. With so many “ice cream” places in the metro area, it’s kinda hard to stick out. What I love most about this spot is that it has a low key vibe/atmosphere but still serves up some very good, unique mixtures. The servers were very friendly and encouraged me to sample as much as I wanted but I opted for the OG Goodness on a waffle cone. They have sooo many good options and the scoop sizes are plentiful. You also have the option to do a cup, cone (various sizes) or sundae. ALSO the waffle cones are house made so it made it that much better. One scoop is plenty as you can see from the picture but you can’t go wrong with two or three. If you have a sweet craving or just a sweet tooth in general and in downtown Decatur, this place is a must!

Ugh we were just in line at butter n cream to get ice cream. My daughter who is 10 all of a sudden had to use the restroom. She had tears in her eyes and was panicked she wouldn’t make it....even though she was wearing a mask they said NO. We left and ran next door to the Italian street food place. They let her use the rest room and said that butter n cream is always rude. I was mortified they would say no to a child. I get it, it’s covid but it’s a Child and she was wearing a mask. What happened to Ally’s law? I need to look those rules up. We will never be back. Our business went to Jenis icecream instead. Because of this, they will no longer be our go to for birthday cakes. Any establishment that’s ok with a child messing on themselves instead of letting them use the restroom, is never getting our money again.

Ive always been a Butter & Cream fan (better than Jennis, IMO). I never miss a chance to get a scoop from them.Unfortunately, I had a pretty frustrating experience yesterday where the staff refused to give me a small cup with tap water for my dog despite also ordering him a pup cup (along with the ice cream sandwiches for the three of us).I stepped around the block and was given a nice, cool bowl of water by another business, no questions asked.The staff stated they couldnt serve a liquid without a lid. Im sure this is some sort of health code policy, but following the rule to a T here seemed a bit absurd. They clearly saw I had a dog with me and knew it was hot outside. Whats the difference between a business setting out a communal water bowl for dogs (like many do) and them bringing out a small bowl of water and setting it on the sidewalk? Seems like there might not be one.That was the first time I ever encountered a business refusing water to a dog, especially on a hot, humid day. Ill be more careful not to forget to bring my water bottle and collapsible bowl with me in the future.
