This shop is so amazing! I went to there assuming that I needed to spend an extreme amount of money to buy a mountain bike that was trail ready and wouldnt need to be upgraded very soon. After spending almost two hours asking and answering questions, the sales rep steered me to a bike that was appropriate for my level and easier on my budget. I now have a bike that I can grow into if Im lucky enough to spend the time in the saddle. These folks are focused on getting you the right bike rather than just getting you to buy the most expensive one. Thats why Ill be back when/if I need another one.
Ive been going to Turins for years and the people there are always willing to answer my questions no matter how trivial. Theyre very knowledgeable in all aspects of biking and their service guys are top-notch! Im very satisfied with the shop and plan to continue using them.
I really appreciate the professionalism of the team at Turin. Chaz had placed a pretty expensive order for me that I had to unfortunately cancel. Everyone was really understanding and professional and didnt pressure me or give me the runaround. I am excited to send more business their way when my circumstances change. Sorry and thanks for all your help guys!
Ive been riding mountain bikes for well over a decade and felt super confident setting up my road bike, turns out, theyre not the same. I connected with Scott about a bike fitting and it was absolutely worth it. I figured hed know his way around bikes but his knowledge of physiology and how it all connects really blew me away. Ive been dealing with knee pain since I got surgery on it years ago and within an hour he helped diagnose the issue, sort out the bike setup and get me feeling dialed, cant recommend working with him enough.
I have been a customer of Turin for over ten years. My most recent visit was for a bike fitting with Scott. I was experiencing some minor issues and was looking to increase efficiency and comfort in my rides. We worked from the feet up starting with my shoes - Scott asked questions about past injuries and whatever issues I have when riding. Then some stem swaps, seat adjustments, angles, etc.Bing. Bam. Boom. One hour later and Im sitting on the same bike with an entirely different feeling. I wish Id done this a long time ago. Very excite to get out on some long rides to really notice the difference.Cannot recommend Scott enough for getting a professional fitting. The subtle difference in posture and adjustments affect how I approach the bike, ride on it, and ensure that I use the right muscles for riding. Thanks, Scott, and the entire team at Turin for sustaining through the past year.
I test rode a few bikes here, but ultimately ended up purchasing from another shop, due to the lack of current inventory in the size & type of bike I was looking for. However, I still want to commend them. I received great service, and the salesperson I dealt with was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I left this store much more informed than I was before I went here. If they would have had a bike that suited me in stock, I would have had no reservations buying it here.
Scott did an awesome job fitting my new bike!
I really appreciate the technicians at this place. I feel theyre more honest and understanding than at some other shops. The stores floorplan is open and unopressive. They usually have parts in stock.
Dave and team helped me with shipping my bike. Very helpful, and great customer support.
Great service! Would recommend to anyone new to biking - the service guys were very helpful & friendly.
I feel so fortunate to live only a few blocks from what has to be the best bike shop in the Denver metroplex. Any time I have been there, everyone is friendly, professional, helpful, and willing to take the time to explain any service my bike needs. Yesterday was no exception. I dropped in without calling first and my bike was serviced quickly and efficiently. My ride was much safer going home thanks to the work that was done. All of the staff is awesome!
This shop is really close to my office and have heard some good things so i have tried twice to visit both times I waited at the door for 5 - 10 mins and nobody came to the door i even made eye contact with two of the employees still nothing i will be taking my business elsewhere
Took my road bike in when something made a noise on my commute to work. They checked it out, and even though it ended up being something incredibly minor, they still adjusted it for me and were so reasonable with the charge ($10.) Seriously great service, and my bike has never ridden better!
In-store stock is low right now due to Covid-19, but generally this is one of the best bike shops in metro Denver! I just purchased my second bicycle from them recently!
Needed a quick fix to my bike while on a ride, stopped by and they took care of me. They wouldnt accept payment, and I didnt have cash to tip, so Im here to throw them a 5 star review.Turin has always been good to me when I shop there.
Went in to pick up some pedals and shoes but the shoes I originally wanted were out of stock in my size. Chaz (hope I spelled that correctly) was extremely helpful and even suggested other shops nearby where I could find what I was looking for. I purchased the pedals and then checked with the shops he suggested for shoes.Even though one shop did have what I was looking for at the same price as Turin, I drove back across town to shop at Turin due to their great customer service!
I spent over $400 on repairs here on two bikes They charge about $50 on a headset repair and they couldnt slap on a cheap dust cover gasket that was broken to complete the bike because you dont really need that part, even after explicitly asking why it wasnt there and if I needed it. First and last time Ill take my bikes there for that much money.
The best place for any bike repair. I brought my bike to cycleton 4 times and they didn’t fix anything I asked. However when this place was recommended from a buddy I absolutely will forever use them. I was called about updates. And they fixed everything that I needed fixed and replaced what needed. Overall amazing experience and I will use this place forever
I got a new bicycle and needed a few things to get started. I’m new to city riding and had several questions. John went above and beyond! He answered all my questions, recommended gear, helped install said gear, and even gave me some personal tips for riding. The other guys at the shop were helpful in suggesting resources for biking in Denver. Thanks so much for the help Turin, it’s much appreciated!
The service guy said they try not to work on e-bikes. Thats a shame because there are a lot of them around now and I live next door to this bike shop. Its probably for the best though as I wouldnt want amateurs working on this bike, itll need to be serviced by professionals with experience working on electric bikes. They did direct me to the shop in the town that can handle this kind of bikes so Ill have to take it to them to get help.
He put new rim brakes on my Surly bike and they are as quiet as a breeze. Thank you Steve the mechanic
Always great service! Had my bike serviced, picked up today and they had found a second flat tire. I was a little sad because I wasnt expecting the extra cost. They only charged me for the one flat tire and gave me the second free. While I dont expect free stuff from any bike service, the extra kindness made my day. Thanks Turin!!
Very friendly and helpful staff
My local bike shop for both mine and my SOs 10 speeds. Great group of workers who want to get the best out of your bike!
Great shop, nice selection of products.
Super helpful with a bike seat post when mine got stolen. Great customer service!
Turin used to be in Larimer Square in the 80s. I bought a TREK there which I rode all over Europe. What a great shop!! TURIN is still carrying on in the same fashion with excellent service and qualified technicians. Two repairs on my Eddie Merckx road bike - September 2019 and October 2020. Both visits were OUTSTANDING. For the recent repair JASON found a replacement Cinelli stem which matched my 1984 3T racing handlebars. This bike is signed by Eddie Merckx and has always been my pride and joy! Thanks Jason and Turin - you are the best.
Bought a new Kona Dew there for the kid excellent service... Great bike too! They really know their bikes there.
I purchased a bike about 5 years ago that was recently stolen. They were willing to search through their old, written records and email me scanned receipt to help with my insurance claim. Ill probably be buying my replacement bike from them soon. Thanks again, Mike!
Not trustworthy. Not organized. Bad communication. No expertise. Price and extent of the services kept changing when I brought my bike in. It went in needing a tune up and came out unrideable. I was tired of trying to get clear answers from them, so I just left. They didnt even perform some of the services I explicitly requested, namely, a brake bleed. My brakes are somehow worse now, and the shifters barely work. The chain will only go up and down 3 gears on the cassette. I wanted to like this shop a lot, but they turned out to be unhelpful amateurs.
Stopped in for the first time. They were super friendly. Had exactly what I was looking, and went above and beyond. The person who helped me was on key and did a good job telling me about their products. This place is dope.
Steve was very friendly and informative, they have all types of options and prices were not bad, would definitely recommended and return!
I previously left a flaming review of a disappointing first service experience. A miscommunication led to some extra labor on what should have just been replaced. Their manager acted swiftly and courteously once he caught wind of the issue and he did everything to make sure the situation was handled properly. A call from the mechanic mid-service would have saved some drama but the overall experience was a big win. I will be returning to Turin for bike maintenance again soon!
Had a flat tire on my bike called them and they were more than happy to repair. Excellent service and the gentleman that helped me was fantastic.
The NEW Turin is the bike shop Denver has been waiting for and deserves. Great attitude and service. Always a smile and always willing to help. Heck, they have even talked me out of buying something.
Friendly staff, they quickly provided various options to what I was looking for. 10/10 would return
This place is great! All the staff is super friendly and they have a great selection. I went in looking for a new pair of road shoes and they took the time to try many different style and fit dominations with me until I found the right combo. Turns out I have high arches that caused a fit challenge. In the end, we ended going to look at other colors that are offered, I just wasnt feeling the black. We found a very cool limited edition shoe that was just what I was looking for. Even though the price was a touch higher, they have a good selection and I never felt pressure to buy.I will be coming back.Great experience!
Ive gotta complain...About other reviewers. I dont know how anyone could have an issue with this store. The staff is passionate and knowledgeable. The vibe is laid back and the selection is top notch. Its no wonder the shop is the oldest in Denver and theres an entire biking culture built around it.I went in with a pinch flat on a Presta valved bike. Normally, I would have bought the tube and did it myself, but Im extremely busy leading into a vacation Im about to go on and needed my hand held a little. Christian, the bike tech was fast, fun, and entertained my inane, over-tired blabber the entire time he was working on my bike. He then brought me over to Ezra who talked with me about a D-Lock conundrum Ive been thinking over, recommending a best course of action that I will definitely undertake after the vacation.Ill definitely be back. I a natural tinkerer but the people at the shop wanted to help me get my hands into the stuff as well. Thanks guys!
These guys are serious about cycling. Bought a new road bike and trainer and the service was top notch. I went to all the shops around town and these guys are above everyone else in terms of quality and service.
Was a wee while back but foundthis store to be a good store
Helped me find a great replacement saddle for the terrible one that came with my bike (purchased at a different place). Super knowledgeable and take their recommendations seriously, while having fun!
I avoid this place when I can, but my usual bike shop moved to a new location way out of my area... I took a bike wheel here to fix a flat. $20 was the price - my other spot charged me $12, which is why I avoided Turin and why that other place was my usual spot. Itd be funny, if it wasnt so annoying, that bike technicians act a little snooty towards customers. Its like they are uppity mixologists or something, with their fancy aprons and secret bicycle knowledge. Put a small mind in a position of power, and they quickly start acting like they are doing YOU a favor.I couldnt believe how long it took the tech to fix the flat -- at my other spot Im in and out in 10 minutes... I sotted there and watched the two bearded hipster bike techs strut around the repair area like peacocks. No one attempted to engage me in a conversation, or ask how I was doing, etc. Way too expensive, and they need to learn a little bit of customer service. Its not that difficult.
Best bike place in town! Thank you for getting my bike up and running! I will be coming back for sure and will spread the word on how great you guys are!
After a couple visits to the shop on recon, and being asked each time if I had any questions or needed any help, I ultimately decided to try a specific bike. The process couldnt have been easier, allowed me to have a great test ride, and led to my purchase. Chaz was easy to work with and very helpful with several suggestions. The shop was very accommodating and got everything ready to go quickly. I stopped in a couple days later to get a different lock, I was remembered, and asked how the bike was working out - I appreciate the great service and highly recommend Turin. Thank you!
Mike helped me buy a new bike today! He was friendly, answered all my questions and gave me lots of tips on how to ride my new bike. Highly recommend!
Incredible experience at this shop! I brought my bike in for some new slime tubes and the service was fast, professional, informative and friendly. The service tech had my bike on the rack within 10 minutes. I was in and out within 30 and he even gave my bike a complimentary tune up (not sure if this is typical so I wouldnt expect this complimentary service). I recommend this shop 100%. Thanks fellas!
Stopped by to check out some specific road shoes and the service was flawless; very knowledgeable, friendly, responsive to questions/concerns and, best of all, no pushy sales process. Unfortunately the shoes didnt end up being what we were looking for but we would not hesitate to return for any other needs. They also have a great selection of high quality inventory.
I have been using Turin for the past few months now and cant say how pleased I am with their service department. The mechanics are excellent, particularly Steve and Eric and all the guys who work the front and back. They are always helpful and will squeeze you in as best they can. No attitude or impatience, just good people who care. I recommend them very highly!
We had a great experience at Turin. My girlfriend and I brought her bike in because of an odd tire deformity. Ryan quickly diagnosed the issue, explained exactly what had happened, and had it fixed in a couple of minutes. We picked up a few spare tubes and a new helmet, with which he happily assisted. Its great to have a well-stocked, friendly, knowledgeable bike shop in the neighborhood.
Great shop, great service! I purchased my first road bike here a little over a year ago and had it tuned this past weekend. I was very pleased at the time of purchase. Alex spent plenty of time with me to make sure I got the bike that was right for me. My questions were thoroughly addressed and the shop made a few concessions on accessories since I was purchasing my bike there.Fast forward a year for my first tune and the service was just as good. Brock was knowledgeable and helpful when talking to me about bike maintenance. While looking at a wheel set, the sales team mentioned they may be able to give me a break on cost as I purchased my bike there and am a loyal customer. Turin certainly knows how to take care of their customers.
These guys are very friendly and helpful. Knowledge and experience coupled with great customer service. Nice job! Thanks for everything
Excellent customer service. Knowledgeable and very helpful. Patient with answering questions and explaining things to people who dont know very much about bicycles.
Best bike shop Ive been to in denver, hands down! They do a great job and are honest about what needs to be done to your bike. Ive been to a few shops in denver and was not satisfied until I found this place. Prices can be a little higher but you pay for what you get.. I love the environment at this bike shop and will continue to use this shop for any maintenance.
Thanks to Sean for amazing work last Saturday on my Trek Navigator. rides beautifully. better than new!
Helped me with all questions about my bike, and Shaun was very helpful and friendly. I went in today, they were so helpful and fixed my chain and pumped my tires. Great Service! Thank you!
Need some small parts while visiting family in Denver. The shop has what I needed and the employees were knowledgeable and friendly. And they open at nine on Saturdays.
Turin IS the best bike shop in Denver. I know, I tried a lot of them when I needed a critical fix for my old commuter Road Bike, which has been with me for years. I busted it bad and went to a lot of shops around Denver, some big, some small. They all basically told me the same thing, it couldnt be fixed, say goodbye to your old bike and think about a new one. I should have tried Turin earlier. When I did show up at Turin, they had a completely different attitude from the start. They wanted to help, didnt promise miracles but also werent ready to give up either. After a lot of time trying different things, Turin was able to get my beloved bike back on the road and the cost was less than I expected and certainly way less than buying a new bike! They are true professionals and care about bikes and biking. Whether you have an old bike, a brand new bike, or are looking for an upgrade, dont make my mistake, START with Turin, dont look elsewhere. Thanks Turin for being an amazing Bike Shop!
For all of my 10 years or so of cycling saddle comfort has been an issue.Ive seen simliar problems all over the web with people but never could I come up with solutions. When I walked into Turin on Lincoln a professional, clean cut young man measured my ass bones. He recommended a saddle for me based upon these measurements. Not only did this clear up my issue but the saddle was also a good price too!
Ezra helped Iz get set up with our first bike and an awesome helmet. Great place to go for helpful advice and service!
Turins staff is excellent, knowledgeable and very nice. My husband bought a bike there this past weekend and they had wonderful recommendations and make sure it was ready to go and safe. I would definitely recommend going to Turin if you are interested in buying a bike or need any help with a bike you already have.
Be sure to tip your bike techs! Every time I stop in with my sons bike (which we bought there), they will do a quick fix on a brake or flat tire. They do their best to get you back on the road right away. Full tunes you have to schedule - booked at least a month out.
Came here expecting some of the best service for the prices they charge. Well unfortunately my bike isnt as pricey as a dentists, and I am very unhappy with the service I received for the price I paid. Unless your bike is worth more than a used Honda, they will give it zero respect.
I just went in to get new tubes in a jogger stroller. They acknowledged me right away, the guy was very helpful in explaining options, and when I came back to pick it up, they had even fixed the hand brake and put new grips on the handle! Excellent excellent excellent. Very nice people and great service. I would definitely go back.
Went in for a tune up to my bike, decided it really needed it after not taking good care of it due to an injury that kept me off it for nearly a year. After I got it home, I discover that not only does my chain rub against the front derailleur in nearly every gear but a couple middle ones, theres a large gash in the side of my fairly new rear tire that slowly leaks air. For $200 I expected to at least ride my bike more than once.
Staff is kind and helpful.
Best shop in town! Friendly staff and prices are amazing.
You gotta answer your phone. And then also not hang up on customers. Unbelievable.
Really friendly and helpful staff, super welcoming. Fixed up my bike the moment I walked in the door - knew exactly what was going on and how to fix it. Highly recommend Turin for any of your cycling needs!
Test rode a few bikes over a two day period, ultimately purchasing one. Mike and everyone else I encountered were great to deal with & fielded all of my (dumb) questions graciously. My impression of this shop is very good and I will be returning, as well as recommending Turin to others.
Ive been shopping at Turin bicycles since the late eighties by now its Denver institution. You can find them in the alley on the Northside of their store
I took my bike in because the seat was stuck and I could not adjust its height. The staff member was trying to losen the screw while I was standing there waiting. At the end, he came back saying that he had changed the piece and had put in a new one, which cost $40! In no moment he told me what was going to be done, and I was right there. If he had told me, I’d probably choose another option. He put in a piece that needs no tool to adjust, but now anyone can steal my seat. I was very disappointed with him not telling me he was deciding to put in a piece that cost $40!Not happy.
Great shop. Smart, friendly staff for any level cyclist. Good selection of products from top to bottom, casual to speed racer, and commuter to roadie.Little closet room to try on apparel. Much appreciated. You get what you pay for...which for Turin means you wont get any great discounts, but youre actually willing to pay full retail price after receiving truly professional service.I go here because I dont want to have to visit 5 different shops to get the straight answers to my questions. I know theyll have whatever I need to get me back on the road (or dirt).
I went into Turin Bicycles yesterday Saturday June 2, 2018 very stressed out and in search for someone to help me. I had a century ride today Sunday, June 3 and my back brake was making this weird squeaking noise. I really needed help because I didn’t want to ride 100 miles with faulty brakes. The guy with full beard in the bike services area told me “I don’t have time for this now”. I told him my pressing matter... he continued telling me what he assumed was wrong with my bike and pointed to some chemicals I could apply to my bike myself. He also told that I would probably needed to work with sand paper. I really didn’t want to experiment the day before my big ride with all of this and mess up my bicycle even further. So I left the shop discouraged and desperate. That’s when I went to ask for urgent help at Colorado Triathlon Company just a few blocks away. What a difference in service! They immediately worked on my bike given the urgency of my scenario and in less than 10 minutes they got rid of the squeaking noise!!!!Truly amazing professionals who listen to their customer, unlike the “hipsters wannabe guys” at Turin Bicycles who seem like they’re only there to punch in/out of the clock, not caring for their customers.
You guys are awesome thank you so much
One of the best bike shop experiences Ive ever had. The folks here helped me get set up with new gearing and were extremely generous with their time and knowledge. This is my new go-to shop. Shoutout to James for all his advice on local climbs and helping me figure out the best setup.
Bought a new road bike here yesterday. Great customer service and very knowledgeable staff. I took a couple bikes for test rides and they let my wife borrow an electric assist bike so she could join me. They were going to have to order a battery for the Di2 shifters on the bike I chose, so itd be at least a day until I could pick up the bike, but instead one of the employees gave me his, new in box, from a bike he was building for himself. They went above and beyond to make sure I could be out riding on my new bike today : ) Overall great experience and would highly recommend them to a friend.
My favorite bike shop. Knowledgeable staff that all love cycling, too. I have commuted to work on my bike for most of the last 15 years and this is the place for me. Sure, I tried a few other places, too, but I always find myself going back to Turin.
I have been shopping at Turin for over 30 years. I bought my first real road bike there when I was 15. They have an excellent selection of beginner rides to the highest quality bikes you could ever want in every category. If you want the best service and parts department known to man than Turin is your place. Paul runs the parts department and if you ever have a chance to peer into his domicile you will be blown away at the organization. If he doesnt have the part he will know where to track it down.Their prices are very fair for what you get - expert advice and the best mechanics anywhere. If you are looking to save a couple of pennies than wheel down to Kmart or go online. In my opinion, local shops like Turin are a treasure.
Have had great experiences with service department. Quick turn around, knowledgeable, and genuinely good customer service. Recently they fixed an obscure problem with my Wahoo Kickr. Now I have it working again to train on these snowy days! Thanks Turin!
Turin Bicycles Ltd1990 Kestrel 200 EMS / 2018 Tubular Ritchey Apex II Carbon RImsA big thanks to Steve and Seth for my new bike!I love it!All the best.Dario Salguero
Turin does a lot for the cycling community and is a very good local bike shop but I agree with some of the other reviews. They can be a little rude. My wife bought her bike there and the deal we got was good and the sales staff was very helpful during the buying process. The service team however, could be a little more friendly. I get they are busy but when you are a local bike shop located feet from a huge multi-use trail in a major city, people are going to wander in with questions and quick fix requests. I trusted them with my bike for a major repair and it was done well but dont you dare think you can walk in to drop your bike off without making an appointment. I have actually been greeted by were very busy upon walking in to the store (I came in to use the air pump). Literally that was first thing they said when I wandered in with the bike in my lycra. The work they do is very good and on par price-wise with other bike shops. If you are looking to buy a bike and know exactly when it will need service and call ahead, a good place but they are getting a reputation for being a little grumpy. I also dont think the mountain bike reviews are warranted. Not sure if they sell any but I saw a friendly transaction between a mountain biker who got his hydraulic fluid replaced. Very well layed out and they dont pressure you to buy things but dont go when its busy.
I love this bike shop. Awesome dudes who know what they’re doing. Great service every time.
Great people and very knowledgeable.
Service department is always looking to help you. A great resource for info. Somtimes during the summer they are backed up. So plan your service requests with plenty of time.
The entire world is dealing with a covid 19 pandemic but the sales staff is doing what they can to get everyone on bikes and the service staff is doing what they can to get us all out on our neglected bikes.
I came to Turin as new to the world of bicycling and have not been disappointed since I started riding a little over a year ago! The sales guys that I worked with not only helped me find the right mountain bike, but they answered all of my questions (without making me feel dumb or embarrassed for not knowing basic bike info), gave me some useful maintenance pointers, and even helped me figure out some good beginner and intermediate trails to practice riding in the Front Range. I was pretty intimidated to start riding clipped in- but they helped walk me through the process and even let me practice around outside to get the hang of it. All in all, I had a truly awesome experience at Turin- I wouldnt go anywhere else!
Service was amazing. The staff was attentive without being obnoxious. They also have a great selection of bikes and for me the price of the bike I was looking for was great.
Friendly and helpful staff. Give respect, get respect. Bought a chain, they installed it and then adjusted my gears and straightened my derailleur hangar. I was only charged for the parts. Sweet!
Its an OK shop to stop in for basic maintenance. I had some unusual touring gear shifting issues that I needed fixed - after butchering a new front derailleur they finally declared it fixed and I took it to a different shop and had it for reals fixed. They didnt charge me for the hassle.
Super helpful down to earth crew. Highly recommend.
I have no prior history or experience with turin. I called in recently with a strange request and one of their associates, Scott, could not have been more helpful. It seemed like he bent over backwards to help me out and i couldnt be happier. Thanks scott!
These guys always take care of me. Great service and knowledge. Never suggest repairs that arent necessary just to make money.
I bought a few random pieces for my suspension from the service department. The guy that helped me was very cool and knowledgeable. He even gave me a few tips for doing the installation. Bottom line, I couldnt be happier with my experience and Ill definitely be returning.
In my experience, Turin has the absolute best service department in Denver. I do most of my own service, but I turn to them when things get tricky. I continue to be impressed by their knowledge, skill, and fairness.
Great service, nice store...but I thought $35 for truing a wheel was a little steep..10 min of work😁
I work at Jimmy Johns doing bike delivery and when something goes wrong with my bike I need it fixed fast. Today when I got a flat I brought it in and they fixed it up right away and serviced some other parts that were in disrepair. Friendly staff as well and a convenient location.
Best service Ive experienced. Have serviced multiple bikes with these guys. Theyre quick and theyre experts.
Got service for my 10 speed chain on my fat bike, the tech was helpful and knowledgeable, however the jerk at the counter charged me service fees for installing a chain that was $15 more expensive than online retail. So my chain and minor brake adjustment cost $55, plus the $20 that I tipped the tech for doing such a good job. Mixed bag, this lot...
