Amazing!! I contacted Sarah via email 5 days before a Friday delivery and she easily made it happen. I asked for a simple “Joanna Gaines” ish white cake with a classy pumpkin theme. She nailed it. The cake was beautiful but also incredibly delicious. Soft airy cake, not dense. Frosting sweet but not too sweet. Not chalky at all.Delivery was seamless to my office in centennial/Aurora.we devoured this cake and there were no leftovers! Have a life long customer in me :)

Through an online search I came across Buttercream Bakery-the ratings, the range of flavors and the online gallery made my decision a no brainer. Got some few cupcakes and suprisingly, I love them all. This place is a perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I contacted owner 2 weeks prior to not 1 but 2 of my kids birthdays. I asked if she could fill a order for 2 cakes. She says yes and then proceeds to not respond to my questions or answers to her promptly (2-4days in between her responding). She never made clear that she only takes payment through Venmo until the last minute, and also assumed that because we live in Colorado Springs we are from Colorado, we are military, what happened to asking and not assuming. So she was asking me where to meet for delivery, like she doesn’t know the area either. After me having to reach out to her again because of lack of response I decided to cancel my order and figure something else out because at this point who knows of she’ll even show with my order, but I’m pretty sure she’ll take my payment. I politely email her with my cancellations and reasons why, she responds like the order is still on and then at the end says I should look elsewhere...what?. She’s really rude and inconsiderate. As a baker she knows I would need at least 2 weeks to order elsewhere and I feel like she forced me to withdraw my order due to her incompetence and left me 3 days. She isn’t clear about the ordering or delivering process and is horrible at communicating. She’s completely unprofessional. If you want to take a chance, good luck with that. When she opens her storefront up again I’d say give her a try, her cupcakes are really good, but don’t disappoint your children in a pandemic like I did mine from trying to support her small business and placing 2 orders. And if your reading this, thanks for not supporting your military community and letting down 2 military kids cause life isn’t already hard enough for them. We won’t be supporting this business again. Good Riddance.

I am a little confused. As far as I can see place is called Buttercream Bakery. Regardless they are a cute shop with fantastic baked goods. Yes they are a little high in price $4.75 for a cupcake. Other places in Denver that I enjoy going to for macarons sell these little tiny French cookies for $2.50 each. I came in to see if they had macarons. They do not. I left with a chocolate flourless cupcake with cream cheese frosting. To say I was leary is an understatement. I am so picky with cupcakes and frosting as I love to bake myself. The girl behind the counter was super friendly and knowledgeable. I was not going to try the cupcake immediately because I had to be somewhere. Alas I failed. I had to try it. The cupcake did not disappoint. The frosting is great. Not too sweet and not grainy like frosting can get. I could have done without the sprinkles maybe some chocolate drizzle instead. The cupcake itself was baked perfect. Now if you get the flourless chocolate cake you need to remember that this will have more of a brownie consistency. My biggest issue will be to change flavors every now and then. Why? Because I really like what I like. Maybe I will get 2 flavors next time and bring one to my husband too. That way I get to try both. Thank you for the great experience. NEW PRODUCT Sugar cookie with lemon butter cream and raspberry filling. So good!

I bought cake pops for my daughter birthday and they are AMAZING. They are the perfect size, texture, flavor. I am in love with them. I highly recommend this bakery and will be buying from them again.

I was not disappointed when I came to sundaes and cones to try their ice cream. They have really unique flavors such as Thai tea, wasabi, sesame, and such which makes this a special spot. Theyre also super friendly about you trying samples so that you can figure out what you really want.

The places is beautiful and the lady who helped us was super sweet. I order 2, 4” cakes. One being chocolate and the other vanilla. Both for birthday parties. And when we got the cakes, they were beautiful! But we got the wrong flavor to one of the cakes. We called and left messages and they even said they would get back to us and never did. These were birthday cakes and it kinda messed up the party because it wasn’t the right cake. I would have loved to gone back to this place but I don’t think I will since they couldn’t even call back about the cake they messed up

Buttercream Bakeshop did an excellent job accommodating my order of 4 dozen cake pops in a short amount of time. And they were delicious! This bakery was extremely easy to work with and the end product was great and was a great value.

I ordered a small round “cut cake” and several mini-cupcakes for my wedding. Sarah delivered and set them up for us. The display was absolutely perfect - the cakes were exactly what I had envisioned! Sarah was incredibly responsive and patient as we email back and forth about what I wanted. Sarah and her team are amazingly talented. The wedding cake cupcake is my all-time favorite with banana salted caramel being a close second. I can’t wait to order a cake for my 1-year anniversary. Literally Best. Cupcakes. Ever. I consider myself a cupcake connoisseur and this is hands down the best in Denver. I used to live nearby and would get cupcakes every time I could make an excuse for it (birthday? Heres a cupcake! Youre pregnant? Time for a cupcake! Boss is a jerk? A cupcake will do you good!).Ive since moved and will still make the drive to this specific shop when Im in need of a treat (candy is my favorite, but there are a lot of amazing flavors). Seriously. Best ever.

Not worth the trip. The icings taste very cheap. Some cupcakes dont even have a filling. So hard to find in Denver a fine bakery.

This place rocks!! It is really hard to find good gluten free options but their flourless chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting is just as adorable as it is delicious. So happy this place is so close because I will certainly be there more regularly...

Where to begin? When you walk into the store you are not only welcomed by smiles but a homey feeling. The cupcakes are phenomenal and the display of them are so cute. The staff are super friendly and the story is amazing. I absolutely love coming here and taking a big bit out of that famous big fat cupcake!

Came in for cupcakes and ended up with ice cream too. What a great surprise. The ice cream serving was generous. Cupcakes were moist and the icing was delicious. Gal that helped was super nice and patient with the indecisive kids. Ordered an ice cream cake for the hubbys birthday. Cant wait to get it home!

Great flavors but order your cake to pick up at an earlier time than you need it for. I picked my cake up an hour after the time I requested and i still had to wait for them to finish decorating it But it was worth the wait.

This place is amazing in so many ways! I ordered cake pops for my daughters party and they were delicious. The flavors that are available for cupcakes are out of this world, the bread is so moist and great tasting. I personally recommend the vanilla bean cupcake, it is going to melt in your mouth!!

My boss bought a half dozen variety cupcakes from Big Fat Cupcake and they were so tasty! I couldnt eat a whole one, but sharing was the perfect amount. One was smothered in mini M&Ms and it was such a creative presentation and a wonderful surprise. Perfect for birthdays at the office!

My roommate bought home two 4 packs of various flavors and by far my favorite is the Banana Creme cupcake we ate it in the middle of happy crying. The cookies and creme cupcake has an amazing crumb and the frosting tastes like childhood. I’m already preplanning ordering a special order cake of the banana. Yuuuuum!

I LOVE BIG FAT CUPCAKE!!! I have been to many cupcake places and this is BY FAR my favorite. It became a regular stop in college. From the environment, to the cute pink colors, and the enthusiastic employees, I wouldnt pick a better cupcake bakery. The employees are always making conversation, getting to know us, and their cupcakes are absolutely delicious. Im pretty sure Ive tired every single one. Would most definitely recommend. I work downtown in the same building as Big Fat Cupcake. I have made it my personal mission to try every one of these delicious cupcakes. So far my fav is the Salty Caramel followed closely by the Boston Cream Pie and the Host-yes.It is to my detriment that Big Fat Cupcake has a such a great product and friendly knowledgeable staff. (go ahead, ask them about any of the cupcakes. They can and will answer all your questions)Will definitely have to increase work outs in order to full fill my mission this summer!

Big Fat Cupcake is the cutest little cupcake shop in the Denver Area! Im from out of town but this place is so good its unforgettable. I love the way its decorated too. Plus its a clean, friendly environment for all ages.

Some of the best cupcakes Ive ever had. Ive had Cake Boss and Cupcackes in a Jar that was on Shark Tank. These hold their own with no problem, best in Denver for sure.

What a great cupcake shop! I havent had a cupcake here that I didnt enjoy and the staff is so friendly. I think the lemon cupcake is my favorite but there are many close seconds. There are always so many choices each time I come in. You cant beat the fresh cupcake smell of this place either.

It didnt look good at all, or anything near ther picture wer showed them. It wad a big fail! In fact it was quite embarrassing to present this at my mothers 78 th birthday party. The cake was really dry and fell apart so bad that I couldnt slice it. I had to pass out globs of cake instead of slices. If was really disappointing for $ 130.00 (plus $20 tip) they asked for when we paid over the phone before seeing it. I wish I could post a picture of it. Sad!

I work in Denver Place and have to walk by these wonderful creations daily. The orange dreamsicle has to be my absolute favorite cupcake EVER! Amazing staff, amazing cupcakes and just generally overall super!

I not only love these cupcakes but the owner is the most gracious person! I dont know how others could have complained about any aspect of the store or products. Low ratings probably come from other bakeries and high maintenance customers.

First thing I noticed when I walked in was, the cupcakes look JUST like that did on their website, in person. This is huge for me, how many times have you seen a picture of something, have the picture sale you on the item, only to get it and have it look NOTHING like the picture. So off this alone I am excited. The staff was extremely friendly, patient and helpful as this was my first time here. I took a bite of my cupcake right in the store before I left just in case it wasnt good, so I would have to burn gas to come back and get my money back. NO NEED it was perfect great flavor AWESOME texture with the right amount of moisture not to heavy not to light PERFECT. Needless to say this is my new go to for cupcakes!!!

These are very good cupcakes but in no way outstanding. The size of the cupcakes is on the large side and the frosting flavors are good. I realize that this is a middle of the road review but this is a middle of the road cupcake joint.

For my daughters 8 birthday I order 25 cupcakes after headcount I only needed 20 call immediately they charged my for 25 and nobody in the store knows how to do a refund they are planning to keep my money . It has been two weeks and no money back I have emailed them call them and nothing.

I judge cupcakes by the quality of the frosting, and the cake part is of secondary importance. Big fat cupcake has BOTH parts down and I cant wait to try them all!Some cupcake shops make very pretty-looking things that taste like cardboard, but dont let prettyness deter you here, I can tell by the two I tried (one cover in mini mms and snicker doodle- heck YES) that everything here would be unlikely to disappoint.Bravo ☺

Thank you BFC! I had a client at Childrens Hospital Colorado who was having a hectic week. I called here since they were nearby the hospital and their menu looked delicious online. I was flexible on the delivery date and easily ordered two dozen cupcakes. The lovely woman helping me ironically is a patient and offered to deliver personally before her appointment on the following Monday (a day they dont normally deliver). So I went to another cupcake shop before this one and was very disappointed. I decided to drive the extra 2 miles south to this cupcake shop and boy was I glad I did! After losing 80 lbs., my monthly treat as part of my plan is a visit to BFC. You will NOT be disappointed! Theyre scrumptious! The hard part? Trying to decide which one! For $4, you get one of the best desserts Denver has to offer. Ive been to other Gourmet bakeries in Denver, and BFC is my cheat of choice!

This cupcake shop has bar none the WORST customer service i have EVER EVER EVER dealt with in my life. Not only are the rude when you go in to buy your cupcakes the are completly NON FLEXIBLE! Being in a business of marketing and wanting to use there product for my dozens of clients they wouldnt work with me at all.... there was one time that I order a dozen or so cupcakes and an emergancy arised and I asked to pick them up the next day (still willing to pay and take those same cupcakes) and they refused declaring they couldnt allow day old cupcakes to be sold the next day.... funny thing is they now sell day old cupcakes at a discount and use them as samples. I asked to buy 6 cupcakes via phone, pay with cc and pick up in a half an hour and refused and showed no flexiblity at all..... these are just 2 examples, i have atleast two more. I will be driving to a BETTER cupcake shop off of Colfax now. Save your money for their over priced, 40% icing cupcakes!!!!!A little flexiblity and hospitality would go a LONG WAY.... if your going to have a store in North Cherry Creek..... have the customer service to go with it.

My friend had made an online order 4 days in advance for the Super Bowl and they called 1 hour before pick up saying they ran out of cupcakes! Who runs out of cupcakes on an advance order and the Super Bowl out of all days. I am very disappointed in this business and how they manage online ordering. Never let a girl be without cupcakes either, very bad business decision.
