Great variety of fresh looking meat! A one stop shop for hosting a bbq or picnic

Good customer service. we come often for their salmon dip. it comes in every Friday (at least currently) around noon but you can ask them to add you to a list to make sure you get one. they run out quick. its very yummy and we eat it with crackers. their smoked salmon is delicious. they give away free boxes if youre moving. on top of their fresh meat they offer, they sell seasonings, condiments, dog bones, wine, and several other things!

They have tons of meat and fish options. Is that many exotic meats. They have pepperoni and beef jerky. They offer things that are partially prepared as well as smoked bones for dogs. I highly recommend this place and the only reason I didnt give them 5 stars was that it can be quite a bit pricey

I have been shopping at B&E Meats for over 40 years and I will not buy my meats from anywhere else. I dont eat vegetables, Im a hardcore carnivore, and B&E is the best butcher shop in the country. I have traveled across this great nation of our and I have never found anywhere that comes close. They have great products and outstanding service. I shopped at the Des Moines location when Bob owned it and still shop there now that his son Jeff runs the place. A great family-run established. If you appreciate the highest quality product, this is the place for you.

B&E Meats is a local treasure. High quality products, great prices, wonderful people. Best bacon around. The ground beef is better quality than the local grocery store and cheaper.

This is a Special place to go and shop for my meat. The people are like family. They are always smiling, pleasant, and very helpful when it comes to cooking temperatures and how to cook things. I tell folks all over about B&E meats all the time.

Not what it used to be. The overall quality of the beef has gone down significantly. Their beef jerky is still the best as well as their kalbi chicken, but it is also overpriced.

This market is clean, has fresh high quality meats and seafood. Employees are professional, friendly and knowledgeable.Tried their stuffed salmon and prime dry aged ribeye steak, they were as good as expected. But we were not impressed with the smoked chicken, tasted ordinary, and $14.28 for 2 half smoked chicken was over the top.

The selection of meats is great. But what made me give the highest rating is their fabulous customer service. They will go the extra mile (and that’s a literally true) to make sure you are satisfied and happy, they are honest people and you should buy with confidence from them!Update Mar-2021: I have been buying their bradwursts for years now. They are a top notch! Delicious and yet simple. The cheddar wurst is really hitting the spot!!

I dont eat a lot of meat these days but when I do, I only shop at B&E. Its a place that you can phone up and order ahead and know that the package they have ready for you is top quality...you dont even have to look at it.

Bottom line when it comes to B&E Meats...its your hometown butcher. I grew up in a tiwn with a great butcher and living in Kent the past 6yrs has cemented B&E as the place to take care of your dinner needs. Meat, wine and sides. The best place to go.

This place is clean and very nice. we live about 1hour plus away but we dont mind the drive because of the nice selection of meats and seafood.

My family has been shopping here for 58 years. Never disappointed, everything is always above average. Smoked salmon (we mix with cream cheese, green onions and sriracha for a pate), herbed chicken breasts (we pan fry or enjoy off the grill), beef jerky (thick and tender), smoked half chickens make a great chicken chili, and ground sirloin or house grind always make a delicious burger. $$

I will sing my praises of this store to anyone who will listen but today just got me. I didnt catch his name but the dark haired browned gentleman in the green camo mask treated me with an attitude that would make his employer proud and grateful. The store was packed so he hurried, but didnt rush me, he carried my groceries to the car, asked how my day went and listened when I told him. I felt the community spirit that is so important in these trying times.Heres the thing. I ALWAYS feel this way when I go to either location. Thats why I always go. I came originally to support a small buisness but I stayed bc of the conviviality of it.I am always a little nervous to spend food stamps anywhere, but never here. The prices are comparable, the food is fresh and delicious, and from what I understand, ethically raised and slaughtered.Also they got that good ice. Get u some.

This place has the best meats and the best service around!

Great assortment of meats and frozen stuff as well. Had great experience buying fish, fresh wild sockeye. Frozen stocks include awesome country pork sausage. Swedish breakfast sausage is delicious if you’ve never had one. Jerky is good. All the marinated meats are delicious and prices are pretty reasonable. Good to support local company and staff is friendly. Toady tartar sold here and that stuff is great too.

Brian and all the staff were extremely knowledgeable and pleasant! I was very surprised by the white selection, and when asking very specific questions about the meats Bryan was more than helpful. I was able to sample some of the candied salmon, and ended up buying it immediately it was so good! I love that I can go there and buy elk and buffalo, and also that they have a good selection of marrow bones.

Outstanding butcher. Great staff. Their original beef jerky is the best i have ever had. The house ground beef is great for burgers. Also recommend the brats, polish sausage, jalapeno cheddar sausage and the kalbi short ribs. Actually its ALL good.

This is my go-to place to buy all of my meat products. Their meat is markedly better than chain stores, and their price is very competitive. Any issues I had were taken care of promptly by the workers there, without any hassle.

The jerky is great.. The brats are excellent.. The salmon is tasty.. The chicken is perfect and the steaks are juicy.. Only thing that can be better is the pepperoni.. It definitely needs to be cured longer.. Its almost like a sausage.. Other then that its the perfect little butcher shop.👍

We have been going to b & e for 20 plus years and never disappointed with any of their product. The very 1st time I had any of their food was at the nibble of Des Moines and I had their teriyaki tyi-tip sandwich. I was hooked ever since.

Best meats that I have found in Washington state

Their meats & seafood are top of the line. The marinated kalbi ribs are incredible! Pastrami is the best Ive had. The service is wonderful. This is my go-to for quality meats.

I shouldnt tell you this because youll take mine but... they stock grass fed beef bones. Call ahead to make sure theyre in that day. Also, we basically stopped eating chicken because we could never get decent quality fron Fred Meyer. We tried organic. We tried Foster Farms. All gross. Tried the chicken here. Its FANTASTIC. Its not just the marinade. The chicken itself is how chicken tasted on the farm I grew up on. Worth the 20 minute weekly drive. Live you B & E.

I come here for all of my holiday meats. They have the best selection of the most delicious meats. The Hawaiian pork roast wrapped in banana leaves is awesome.

The dry aged ribeye is amazing! Super tender buttery melt in your mouth deliciousness!!! Worth every penny. I also recommend the Hawaiian pork roast wrapped in banana leaves. Cook it how they tell you and it comes out super moist and tender.

This place is on my gratitude list. We are so lucky to have such a high quality, friendly, helpful store in our town. They stock seafood, steaks, chicken selections, cheese, beer and wine. Definitely a bright spot in our Des Moines business district.

Great steak, marinated ribs and chicken selection. The staff is friendly and helpful with cooking tips when I asked. I got some king salmon last night and going back tonight to get somemore and they will season anything you want. Plus the jerky and pepperoni is amazing. I will be there every weekend over the summer to pick up my BBQ supplies.

Came in search of a good quality butcher shop.When I parked at B & E, the store front was unassuming and there were many parking spots available. However, the place was packed! I placed my order, and one of the many surprisingly bright, alert, and happy-to-help associates packed it up and sent me on my way.Ive been back several times since and I will continue to return for several reasons:*Their products are AMAZING. Their meat cuts are so sensational, they are mouth-watering without seasoning! Apart from fresh product, they also have a frozen section (the quality of your life will severely improve if you try the chicken, spinach and feta sausages!), wine & beer sections, and spices, rubs, crackers, sauces, jerky, almonds, and more!*The staff aims for nothing less than excellent customer service... like people used to focus on in the past. There have been many times where if I want to try, say, their seasonal Blueberry Links (which were heart-stoppingly good btw), they would just throw a couple in my bag, free of charge.*SALMON CANDY. They make it. Its magical. Sometimes you get free samples of it. The end.
