Went there on Friday. Just a heads up. Was told if you wanted a cupcake you need to order it 3 days in advance. Cocktails need to be ordered the day before. Masks are required, which is fine, but none if the above information was on their website. Shame. I was there 2 years ago and was hosting a training conference near by and wanted to check it out to recommend for our attendees.

I love these cupcakes! They’re always the perfect consistence and sweetness! They have vegan and gluten free options.. I don’t think I can pick a favorite! The staff is exceptional too!

Stopped into purchase cupcakes had heard so much about how wonderful they tasted. No cup cakes so decided to purchase 2 Irish Trifle. Was very disappointed in their trifle. was very dry and had not taste. For the price they charged could of got a small cake a bakery shop that would of been more moist and tasted better. Will not go back over priced and disappointed in their products available.

Had a vegan version of German chocolate from here and I’m eating it again as I write this. It’s beautiful. It’s delicious. It melts in my mouth. I’m not vegan and LOVE my sweets. But this was my hubby’s birthday cake and he IS vegan, thus the need for a vegan cake. I will order here again every time I need a cake. Thank you!

The place was okay. I was really interested to try their desserts. I had the chocolate torte and my friend had the cheesecake. The cheesecake was good, the torte was okay. The drinks I wasnt really fond of. I had the Spanish coffee and the taste of cinnamon was too overpowering for me, so I couldnt finish it. However, the ambience was nice, and the staff was friendly.

I have ordered a couple cakes from Crème, and they have been absolutely amazing. Last week I ordered a birthday cake and they went above and beyond what I thought was possible. It really helped make our day special and I can’t thank them enough.

This place is absolutely amazing! I love taking friends here for get togethers!;) The desserts are incredible and so rich. The alcoholic drinks generally match well will certain treats and are just as delicious!

Very unhappy with the cake I bought for my 10th anniversary at Creme Cupcake. Cake was dry, the lemon filling was half frosting between the layers as you can see in the picture and the frosting on top was smashed by the lid to the box the cake was in. Bummer that this was for such an important event and I wish I had gone somewhere else. My wife says its not a big deal, but as a husband who wanted this night to be perfect Im very disappointed. On a bright note Harbinger restaurant was amazing and would highly recommend going there!!!!

Ordered a custom cake on Tuesday for Friday, using their online ordering. It allowed you to pick more than 1 frosting and filling, so I picked chocolate and peanut butter frosting with ganache and chocolate mousse filling on a chocolate cake.Went to pick up on Friday, I see my name on a peanut butter frosted cake that is too tall for the box, so part of the frosting was being smashed by the lid. I asked about the chocolate frosting. The person working looked at my order and chuckled and said that I cant have more than 1 frosting. So I told her thats an online ordering flaw bc it allows you to. She offered to refrost it but I didnt have time.I was upset because I ordered on Tuesday for Friday and they had my email and phone number, but never contacted me. Most people order cakes for special occasions, just guessing how to decorate a custom cake is careless and lazy. Which is too bad bc the cake itself was good. But I can get as good of a cake with better attention and service at a hyvee.

Never in my life!!!...who knew to add my all time favorite, almond paste/almond frosting to an already unbelievable dark chocolate flourless cake!! TOTALLY PERFECT! Happened upon this little jewel after having dinner and couldn’t believe the delicious selections they offer here. There was a wide array of choices for cupcakes but I was completely surprised when my date said he’d take a shot of Jameson and with a smile, the server obliged. I was shocked at the genius of having the perfect spot for a nightcap and ordered one of the best gimlets I’ve ever tasted. I just don’t think you can go wrong here!

Always a great experience. A grade above just a cupcake place. Delicious cupcakes, desserts, and drinks. High quality and decadent.

This bakery is a great spot for high-end baked goods. The specialty cupcakes are interesting and come in a variety of tried-and-true flavors. Great place to go after dinner in the Ingersoll avenue business district. Always clean, but has some limited hours and is expensive for cupcakes. Good place to pick up cupcakes for a small group, but certainly not cheap.

Love the individual cupcakes and my daughter loves their macarons.

There are delicious dairy free options, and I dont feel like Im missing out on such rich flavors as I have had both dairy filled and dairy free. The staff is helpful and I come here for all my sweet tooth cravings. The prices might seem a bit steep at first, but just try one dessert and you will just taste the quality.

I had an episode where I was voraciously eating a cup cake (Lemon with raspberry filling) 8-dIts in a good location and great employees. Bathroom was acceptable, which I appreciate very much. 5/5. Just keep some lemon raspberry hangin around for me or youll be dealing with one Hangry individual! 😏

I bet they were good when they were made, but that was most likely 5-6 days before I placed my “custom” pickup order for cupcakes that were only supposed to be made on “Wednesday’s” which was the day I picked them up. $6 per cupcake for stale week old cupcakes that were apparently made the previous Wednesday. VERY UNIMPRESSED. Save your money.

I was pleasantly surprised. Although I heard they had been on a TV show, they seem to still have a professional, yet local feel. I tried a couple of desserts - the flourless chocolate cake, and a seasonal cupcake, both of which were very good. Although it is a more expensive choice for dessert, its not an unreasonable price is a very nice atmosphere. I will definitely return!

I wanted to get a grooms cake for my rehearsal dinner and I called them super last notice (10 days before I wanted it). They were able to give me exactly what I wanted and it turned out great. I was super happy with their creative development. The cake tasted really good too. Great Job!!

The cupcakes are great, and the place is nicely set up and decorated. However, it is very difficult to find a place to park; and the staff can work on friendliness. I have been there twice- once at night and once in the afternoon, and both times they made me feel like they were doing me a favor selling me a cupcake. It is unlikely I will go a third time.

Finally decided to try it & it was ok. We both ordered mocha lattes with frangelico. Couldnt really taste the chocolate let alone the frangelico. They were out of creme brulee, shared the banana bread pudding or was ok. Not terrible but not so good im rushing back. Service ok.

Great drinks and friendly service. Their desserts are fabulous! We had the cake truffles they were super moist. And tried the samoan cookie sandwich filled with coconut creme, should of gotten two!

Delicious cake!!! We ordered chocolate cake for our daughters first birthday. The layered cake in pink and white color looked beautiful and matched well with the birthday theme. Everyone at the party enjoyed the cake. :) their cakes are slightly over priced but worth spending for occasions like this.

Was pretty disappointed in the cupcakes I tried here. I went in alone and just wanted a coffee and cupcake and the staff was nice enough but didnt take the time to talk about the choices even though I tried to engage with them. The cupcake I got was a little dry and overly sweet. I was just expecting more from a specialty place. Probably wont return. Its a cute place to take your kids though.

They have Absinthe, which is awesome. They brought it out to me and let me pour the ice water over the sugar. Cupcakes were moist and flavorful. It was a busy Saturday night there, but the staff was great, friendly, and very quick.

If you have not had the chocolate flourless torte from Creme, you. are. missing. out. This is probably my favorite dessert in all of Des Moines. Although everything Ive had here is amazing, well balanced, and thoughtful. Wonderful customer service and attention to detail. A great stop for a date night or a girls night. Lots of gluten-free options. Also, follow their instagram for tons of appetizing photos of cupcakes.

For an “as seen on Cupcake Wars” bakery, it sadly did not hold up to the hype. They were lacking the ingredients to their “signature” desert of the month and the bartender did not know how to make their drinks of the month. Severely disappointing crème brûlée, which was separating in the middle. Truly gave it a chance, then waited 15 minutes at the bar for our check when we were the only people here. Cupcake was a solid B tho.

Ive been here a few times. The last was last Friday night and the service was terrible. The desserts are great, but a bit pricy for some. If you go when the employees are in a good mood, youll really enjoy it. You may feel like your waitress hates you, but you will enjoy some tasty treats!

Really busy on a Saturday night around 7pm. The chocolate torte was delicious, just a bit more than I needed. It was pretty loud with that many people in such a small space. Without an entry way it was chilly inside (had to keep our jackets on).

Cupcake was delicious, vegan pecan pie bar was amazing, and they have gluten free cupcakes! They have pretty simple flavors for the cupcakes but they also offer many other things.

I have been to Creme Cupcake a few times, and every experience is perfect. They are always updating and adding new flavorful items. This is a perfect place to take your 10 year old for a special treat, or to go on a special date with your special somebody, both of which Ive done.

I had a family member from out of state visiting me so I decided to make a trip here with her as she loves “Cupcake Wars”. While we came in 35 to 40 minutes before close to pick up some cupcakes to go, the staff was rude. She had already put most of the desserts and cupcakes away and made a comment about it even though we had plenty of time before 9. She did not offer to let us choose from/tell us what she had already put away and instead only let us choose from what was still in the case. We tried to speak to her and engage conversation but she was very short with us and offered no help in picking out any cupcakes. My only wish is I hadn’t picked up six subpar cupcakes to go with the less than thrilled experience the lady at the counter provided. To say I’m disappointed in this visit is definitely an understatement.

I love it. The food is great and so is the service and atmosphere. The only problem is that they are located close to where I live. I feel more obligated to come over often to get my sugar fix

When your cupcakery is open until midnight and an hour before you have all of the chairs up and no food in the case you arent really sending a welcoming message. Food is fine. They had run out of coffee. Waitress not friendly at all.

I purchased 3 dozen cake truffles for a function tomorrow night. Tried one tonight and it seemed like they were raw.The cupcakes I bought Saturday were delicious.I’m nervous to serve these truffle cakes to my guests.

Perfect place for after supper dessert and starter drinks. Their delicious menu of treats will cure anyones sweet tooth. It is great place to catch up with friends.

Creme cupcake made our wedding cake and cupcakes. They were delicious! I had many guests compliment the cake and the fun flavors (ie lemon blueberry and almond raspberry) Creme was easy to work with and communicated well with us. Would definitely recommend!!

Has a limited vegan (ready made) selection it seems. I only ever see 1 rack of vegan cupcakes. Other than that, this IPlace always delivers on the best vegan/GF cakes, Im never disappointed in the taste a quality. I have never sat in to eat or order from their menu, but from what I read of it, theres not a lot to order on there either if you are vegan.

This was my first time I had visited this place. I wanted to get a few cupcakes to go for my husband. I went on a Wednesday evening after work and knew that there would probably be a crowd. I got there and stood in line, there was just one person in front of me getting cupcakes to eat there. There were just two employees working at the time. There was a jewelry party going on as well, so there were quite a few people there. The person in front of me received their cupcake and then it was my turn. I stood there for 10 minutes while the girl behind the counter waited on the jewelry party people. This group had drink tickets and kept coming up to the counter, while I was in line, and cutting in front of me to get more drinks. While this was not the employees fault that these women kept cutting in line, she did keep waiting on them! Just as I was about to turn around and walk out, the employee told me she would be right with me. So I waited a bit longer. While I was waiting I noticed one of the cupcakes had a hair coming out of the frosting. When the employee finally got to me I mentioned the hair to her. She said: I noticed that about 2 hours ago, I was hoping no one would notice. What!!?? She did throw the cupcake away, but What??!! Was she planning on selling it? I got my cupcakes and left. Later that evening we went to eat the cupcakes, I had the chocolate covered strawberry and my husband had the red velvet. They were chewy and tasted as if the oil that was used had gone rancid. The only redeeming thing about the cupcakes was the frosting. Probably wont be returning.

The cup cakes were ok at best. They have so much sugar that you cant actually taste the flavor. The cake part is what youd expect from a cupcake you cooked at home, the filling was ok, and the frosting was so sweet i couldnt eat it.For a cupcake thats been on tv... super disappointing.
