Love this place. I was being helped, the gentleman stopped me in the middle of my order to give out a donut hole to a child. I saw this multiple times while there. These people love spreading joy, love what they do, and are very good at it. Delicious donuts, great pricing, supporting local...no down side.

The best donuts in Des Moines! Our church provides them every Sunday before each service and when we landed on a donut theme for my daughters birthday I knew I wanted them from the Donut Hut! They have very reasonable prices and are really friendly to work with.

They have some of the best donuts around if you a good breakfast lunch or afternoon or evening snack the go to the Donut Hut they have a wide variety donuts and pastries. If youre in the area stop in and try some especially the chocolate frosted donuts.

Was a little disappointed that they didnt have nuts on my cinnamon roll with chocolate icing.. But their donuts are still pretty darn good, whats left of it anyway... lol

Super delicious donut shop! Tried it for the first time today, I loved their cream filled donuts. Plus anything with their apple mixture (bear claw, apple fritter) is AMAZING. The shop owners are super sweet and kind too. Feels good to support a great local business, will definitely be going back!

Ive been coming here for about 10 years. The owner and all staff are wonderful, and the donuts are always fresh and amazing.Ive never been a fan of glazed donuts, but here, theyre one of my favorites! They also have amazing red velvet cake donuts, and Ive recently become hooked on the most amazing apple fritters!Honestly, all their donuts are great!

Best donuts in the metro! We tried a little variety, and every one was so delicious. Not usually a big fan of filled donuts, but the strawberry one I got was one of the best donuts I have ever had. My son tried a few frosted donuts, and the frosting to fried dough ratio was absolutely perfect. A lot of places around here make theirs way too sweet, which is why Donut Hut will be my only go-to for donut days! Not to mention, the service was outstanding. Drop the overdone donut places, and stick to a place that knows how to do them the right way!

Fantastic donuts. Compared to Krispy Kreme, they are a bit heavier (a preference issue) and the filling is good. Well priced. The owners are local and really fun to talk with as well. Nice seating and good parking. I would definitely recommend for donuts in the area.

High intense flavor with rich boldest and honest great price for early raisers and the air is clean smelling and the people honest so I can take my time! The tiger tails and coffee are divine and full filling to my taste! Gladly go top early in the morning for great tasting bread there! Highly recommend!

First time going here. Good location right off the main road. Easy to find. The staff was nice and friendly, made you feel that they likes their jobs. We got a variety of donuts. They have a large selection of donuts. Highly recommend the sprinkle cake donuts. They have a lot of different drinks to choose from which is nice.

Cute donut shop with lots of different choices of pastries, coffees, cappuccinos, milk, juices and a sweet shop owner that came over to our table to see how our donuts were, and when we bought four apple fritters for breakfast tomorrow he said he wanted to know our honest opinion of everything. Im from three hours away and come every year for a girls day and I will be back every year! Also the prices were super reasonable!!! Check this place out, you wont regret it!

The guys there were great made the visit with the kids so enjoyable. Gave my daughter a free doughnut hole and said she needed to share with my son, he took the hole back and made like he was breaking it in half with a slight of hand he gave hers back and he got one as well.

Donuts here are alright. Their apple fritter was decent but the raised glazed was mediocre. I did like the red velvet though. Really good customer service.

Pretty good for the price. Had a cherry donut and snowball bismark. Both were flavorful and tasted fresh. Girlfriend had two chocolate frosted donuts which she wasnt as keen on. Owner seems to know regulars orders and takes care of them.

Good donuts very friendly owner. Gave my son extra donut for using good manners. What a terrific guy, and way to show kids manners pay off. Will definitely be back. A business it understands service and how to treat people, I commend you for that.

As an ex employee I would like everyone to know that yes the doughnuts are great but he doesnt treat his employees like family & the tips that the customers give during the weekdays we have to give him 50% and on the weekends (the busiest time) he gets 100% of the tips. We make minimum wage $7.25 & bust our butts. When I was hired I was not made aware of this but I am now talking with the Iowa Depart of Labor because its not fair or right to be treated that way.

I’ve been coming to this shop since I was a kid before it was Donut Hut and after it was. I’ve now taken my kids in to get a donut once in a while and the owners are incredibly sweet. They’ve given them a free donut before so I’m more than willing to buy a dozen :)These guys have a great heart and I love what they’ve been able to turn this place into!

Have been driving past this shop for a few months now, just decided to stop in today. It was about 11:30am and the selection was still fairly good.I decided to get a glazed cinnamon roll. I was pleased by the soft but chewy texture, and the tight roll pattern kept the flavor fairly consistent throughout.The service was quick and friendly.

Family owned business, they couldnt be nicer and great donuts... What more could you ask for?!?!

These are the best donuts in the Metro, possibly in all of Iowa. Not only are the donuts delicious (any kind youre into) but the Apple Fritters are so good they will ruin all other Apple Fritters for you. No matter how far away I live I make the drive to Donut Hut. The owners are BEYOND friendly, will always refill your coffee and greet you with a smile, and youre doing good by buying local.

They are the nicest donut. Not the overly sweet chain with no connection. This family run local business has the freshest around. Cherry donut holes are great blueberry cake is moist and not fake blueberry.
