The doughnuts are amazingly fresh and delicious 🤤 I love that they allow you to do half n half flavors for the 14 piece the Boston cream and the pumpkin were my choices and I would definitely recommend everyone try them!

First time here. Chatted with the owner while the donuts cooked. Really nice guy. Puts his heart into what he does and you can tell in the finished product. Tried the cinnamon and sugar and chocolate covered donuts. Soooooo good warm. Stop here next time your in the Des Moines area.

Only have experience with the trailer portion of this business. First day, they never showed. Rescheduled day, they were very strict about when they were going to be there, however, they were not ready when they said they would be. Because of the delay, and the fact they would not allow a colleague to pick up I did not get to actually taste their product. I’m sure sugar is always nice, but I’m sure I’m better off without it.

I have driven by before but went out of my way to check it out that morning. I had such a nice conversation with the owner of the place as she made my fresh doughnuts (fun to watch the small doughnut machine and frying, it was so quick)! She suggested I keep the toppings simple (so many offerings) as I had a drive before eating them. These mini doughnuts are so fresh, tender and melt in your mouth good! Looking forward to more. I had the glazed and cinnamon sugar.Only tip I would give to this place is to freshen up the signage, or make it bigger. I saw doughnuts which was all I needed, but was hard to see any name.

Tastes fresh, fun to watch the mini doughnuts frying process. She makes it look so easy and simple! So many toppings to choose from. The price is not bad either. She uses just vegetable oil, no peanut oil. 🙂

Went a few days ago with my son. I’m not sure if this is how they’re supposed to come out, but the donuts came out very mushy and gritty. Crispy on the outside, which was delicious, but very undercooked in the center. Super unfortunate because the donuts were delicious!! But, I’ll try again later. Maybe it was just an accident this time, so I’m hoping the next will be better.EDIT: indeed, that was the case! We came back and the donuts were nice and crispy and cooked through the center. Best mini doughnuts we’ve ever had!

The donuts are great however the customer service can be iffy. My first time visiting the store I talked with one of the owners about hiring them for my wedding he was a man a few words but the donuts were great so I ended up hiring them. We paid for 150 guests to have unlimited donuts. We also paid for two types of upgraded donuts. The donut truck arrived LATE to my wedding. My coordinator had been trying to reach them for almost an hour and they weren’t answering or returning calls. We had to hold the ceremony from starting on time because they finally arrived. During my family photos and cocktail hour I sent my brother to get my some of the donuts because I was starving and obviously couldn’t get in-line myself. They refused to give him two orders of donuts. So he had to go back and get back in line. Normally I would understand this however we ended up having 80 guests and my brother said he was getting some for the bride. I was overall disappointed with this entire interaction. It wasn’t cheap to hire the donut truck and they weren’t on time, weren’t responsive and weren’t very flexible to the guests wanting to try both the special donuts I had advertised as the “signature donuts”.Edit: they state in their response they didn’t get our messages and we wanted them to arrive “early” however my coordinator had emailed them a month in advance with a time they should be at the venue. They did not show up on time. They arrived at 3:20pm when the ceremony was supposed to begin. We asked them to arrive at 2:30pm per the emails we sent a month before the wedding. If they were unable to arrive at 2:30pm they should have let us know so we could have moved OUR timeline around that.

AMAZING. The owner was literally so nice and helpful helping me pick out flavors. They have TONS of flavors and Im telling you, they are delicious. We werent even out of Des Moines and all 14 mini doughnuts were gone. Theyre hot, buttery, and have so much flavor. We got the 14 pack of donuts-- donut be cheesy its Graham cracker, cream cheese topping and strawberry topping (7 of these) plus cinnamon sugar donuts(7). Im obsessed and will definitely be going there regularly 😋

Theres something for everyone. Im personally addicted to the donut judge me. Its a small place so because of covid-19 not many people cant be inside the store at one time. These doughnuts are so delicious when you eat them right away, nice and warm! They melt in your mouth! All the toppings we ordered were so good. Not too sweet. The owner was also very friendly and got our donuts out to us fast, despite the long line of people ordering.

Amazing! We have had the food truck 2 times and always so impressed the menu is a bit overwhelming at first but with some careful review you can find something for any pallet!! Fresh and hot and definitely a local business so you know your money is well spent. The owner was very friendly despite having a large crowd and lots of orders. Definitely will be following to find out where they go next.

The service was excellent!! I ordered ahead, and got there a bit early so they werent quite ready. They brought the donuts out to my car when they were. And the donuts? I dont even like normal sized, but something about mini makes them great! I highly recommend!

Delicious, melt-in-your-mouth donuts. We tried the PB loves J (with raspberry as the fruit glaze), and the Donut be Oreod.My favorite was the saucier one vs the oreo, but both were awesome. Made fresh, so theyre hot and melty. If its your first time, I recommend looking at the menu ahead of time, as the choices can be overwhelming. Just know that whatever you choose...you cant go wrong.

Delicious donuts. I had the Boston cream-style and they were delightful. Still warm and covered in hot fudge and cream. The little carton of milk I got was the perfect size to wash down the eight mini donuts. Its also fun to watch the machine spit out and cook the donuts.

I took my granddaughter and my friend Missy and her two daughters last weekend to this place and they all loved it. They got strawberry with wip cream on fried donuts, Trin had nutella and hot fudge, another one had, I think peanut butter and hot fudge and wip cream, and I had a German chocolate one with toasted coconut on the fried donuts. It was good. I only had about 4 bites and then I brought it home and gave it to my son. Dont get me wrong, it was good. I just cant eat anything that sweat anymore but a few bites. Plus I had a bite of everyone elses too. Had to try them all. Lol. Very good place. Need to have coffee with you. Just makes it taste better.On the same side as B & E Meats and one block North. Dont blink or you will miss it. Just a small place on your left when heading north on Des Moines Drive. Grab and head to your favorite park or take them back home with you.Some many great choices to choose from. You can have a different type every time and never get board. 💜🙂💜🙂👍👍👍

Made me sick 🤢 The donuts were too full of grease. I ended up vomiting all night after eating them. They should allow the donuts to drain the extra oil first before putting it into the container or something.

I am so happy I decided to stop in and finally try this little gem. The smell of The Dough-Nut lures you in immediately but the fresh made doughnut holes are the star, and only star, here. The menu is basic in the sense everything starts with fresh made doughnut holes, but the toppings are what takes this place over the top. You can have a fresh, warm cinnamon sugar doughnut or go all out with fudge, peanut butter, cookies, etc. The options are limitless. As an added touch, the owner is amazing! She is very friendly and welcoming and makes awesome recommendations! Cant wait to go try a different combo of toppings.

Go with the classic flavors. I was really excited to try this place after moving to Des Moines a couple years ago. I pre-ordered some doughnuts for my mom and I for Mothers Day. When I arrived to pick up my order, I lingered outside the door a bit since I wasnt sure if I should come in without being invited (COVID and all), and the guy inside was talking to someone on his blutetooth. After a good 5 minutes or so I poked my head in and finally got his attention. I said I was there to pick up an order (already paid) and he asked when I a placed it (four days ago). The order wasnt ready at the time I requested, but that wasnt a big deal. I ordered raspberry glaze and cinnamon sugar. The cinnamon sugar doughnuts were good, but I was disappointed in the glaze. It was really just a big blob of raspberry, ice-cream topping squirted on top. Not very pretty and it didnt taste good (in hind sight, I wish I took a photo to share with you). I will probably try once more; and will stick to the classics.

This place is great! They have a rewards system that sends you reminders that I havent been in awhile! 😁 Ive been served by 2 of the staff when Ive been there and they were both the most friendliest people & I came in close to closing. The donuts were fresh and made in front of me. Served with a smile each time and they apologized for not being open when I happened to stop by on a day that they were closed. I definitely make it a habit to support this small business.

This doughnut shop is also a stones throw from the Des Moines marina so after you get your doughnuts you can take a walk on the waterfront.

Perfect mix of crispy and doughy. The lady that was working at the time was very friendly and told us all about the process and how to chose from the menu. There was a lot of freedom in the topping picking spectrum of things. Mainly writing this review because I’m craving it and they’re closed. This is the closest I can get to actually having them.
