Love that store, everyone is so nice and helpful, even at the meat counter! The clerks and the cashiers are very helpful when asked where can I find certain items! Everyone is so polite, also!!!!

We love the meat department and 🥓. Very focus on just grocery. Easy to get in and out as fast as any convince store but better values. Love the assistance getting grocery to the car. Hire local kids and help them learn what customer service is all about. Never had a bad experience shopping here.

Love fareway shopping, find things there that I dont find anywhere else. Go early mornings to avoid the rush and everyone is so helpful.

Clean store and they had what we were looking for but wouldve been better if they had tomatoes sourced from closer to home, at least from Iowa. Cashier was super friendly!

Employees that take groceries out to car need to know that eggs, chips and bread dont go into the trunk BEFORE the heavy items. I dont mind helping them by rearranging, but I always need to keep an eye. Was never a problem before until recently.

Very friendly,low prices and insist on taking your groceries to your car,unlike hyvee where you have to bag your own groceries and load them in your cart because they dont have any help.

Tonight I stopped for a few things and all of a sudden the electricity went out. No one freaked out. I was finished with my shopping so, against my belief, I self checked out. All is good .

I like Fareway grocers, it always clean and the people who work there are always helpful and positive! What I dislike is that they seem to be high on a lot of items. The meat department is first class, but sometimes the high school kids who work behind the counter can be a little rude and dont seem to like their job! Overall it is the best store to shop at if you can afford it.

I just started going here because got an ad in the in my mail. And I liked the prices, so I went in and I was floored by the prices on stuff like the quality pizzas for only five bucks. So I bought a handful of those. Since then, Ive been coming back weekly. The workers are friendly. Especially the cashiers who have to remind me what buttons to push on the self check out lanes. 😉

Great store! Fareway is always $2 cheaper than the other main grocery competitor. This location is my favorite. The service is always friendly and courteous, the store is clean and well organized, everyone wears a mask and they are always disinfecting surfaces. I love that they walk your groceries out with you and help you load your car and take the cart back for you. Ive been shopping Fareway for over 20 years; they are my corner store.

I have shopped at Fareway for years, and was excited when the Des Moines Fleur Drive store opened. It is the closest location for me to shop. It is never stocked with items that I have always bought at other Fareway stores. I will not be shopping at this store again. A lot of employees running around, but none ask if they can help you. It is by all means the worst Fareway!

Only giving a star because I can’t give zero. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The strawberries were all molded on their shelf I wait 10 minutes for an employee to finally come from the backroom with more strawberries they were all molded and I tell him to which he responded with the worst and most disrespectful attitude. Only been in Iowa 2 weeks and will never shop here again. Went here because of the reviews guess you get top notch service if your skin has no melanin.

I dont shop at fareway. This came up on my time-line bc i drove by.A few of my friends werent hired by them simply bc they had tattoos (not offensive) and yes the interviewer said it was bc of tattoos. If tattooed ppl arent good enough to work there then as a tattooed person, im not spending my hard earned money there

Manager is not friendly like other Fareway stores. Shop there several times a week since opening. Manager never says hello or even acknowledges that I am there. Makes me feel like I am not wanted there.

Fair prices

All my (50+ year) life and passed down from my parents and to my adult children, this is the best meat and groceries anywhere! They honor competitors coupons and even bring your groceries and load them in your car with a smile! That kind of personal service is unheard of in life today! Best store EVER!

Eveything was stocked up on a Friday evening. Fareway had everything that we were shopping for. Plus, great deals on other items that we couldnt say no to. Prices are usually if not better then other grocery stores in the Metro. The dudes in the meat department are always helpful and they keep it well stocked with delicious cuts at great prices. Cashiers and courtesy cashiers are always friendly. Whole store has small town hospitality with big town options. There is a plethora of reasons Fareway keeps me coming back, even from across town.

I was shopping during the old peoples hour. there was a young man standing in the parking lot in the rain talking to the gentleman that he was helping I think he was just talking to him cuz the old man was lonely. It was really sweet!

Prices for produce are cheaper than the competition and fresh to boot. Service is friendly. I definitely can’t pass on a cheap lunch.

Meat department seems to be placing more product out on the shelves. I hope this trend ends soon 🙏 or they may lose my purchases. I enjoy the personal service which is not available at other stores.

Excellent modernization of the classic Fareway design. There is very good produce and their meat counter, as always, is exactly worth its reputation. The meat selection is more in-depth with cuts than you might find in Hy-Vee and the quality can be very impressive.

Excellent opening at the new Fareway. They carry Dogfish Head ales, my favorite brewery, and their meat case is outstanding. Prices are competitive. My new favorite grocery store, although Fresh Thyme farmers market is a very close second
