Aldi is great. I like this one and the one on east university because they are not as cramped and crowded as the one in Urbandale even though that one is closer for me. My best buys today were delicious fresh peaches (peaches in November!) And marked down due to date bratwurst which were less than $1,50 per pound. Im going to freeze them anyway. Aldi is great especially in these days of skyrocketing grocery prices.

Beautiful new store on North East 14th. A lot of name brand options now, but still the best staff in the biz! Good prices and good selection. They even have some products that no other grocery store offers. Pretty cool.

The place was nice and clean. All the fruits and vegetables looked like they were fresh. Everything is sorted out and easy to find. I found what I was looking for very easily. Keep up the good work. Ill be coming back.

Nice place to go shopping, i loved it have never been there before but... since I went in for the first time, I was quite surprised to be honest. They do have really good stuff. Everyone needs to go check it out for themselves. Dont rely solely on my words. Go see for yourself.

The lady with like white hair slammed all my groceries in the cart, never says hi to me, I was having trouble with my card, didn’t help me, there was some mold on some fruit. And the lady also smashed my tomatoes that were hard to find good ones as is. Don’t think I’ll go back to that one again.

So this store just got a remodel and I like it. There is more room which means more food and who doesnt like that? If you have ever shopped at Aldis you know that you rarely see an actual brand name but their products are good and their prices are amazing. Now their cheese is seriously too notch. I love Aldis. When you have a budget thats the place to go.

Fairly new to the Aldi shopping experience, but I am not going back! For real, the staff is fantastic and hardworking and I love the produce. So much easier to eat healthier without spending an arm and a leg. Only wish they had chorizo here and then it would be perfect!

Aldi is my favorite grocery store. Good selection and great prices. I usually go earlier in the day when it isnt so busy. Even when the lines are long, the staff are very nice. We especially love their butter pecan ice cream; full of pecans and the price cant be beat!

I have spent less than $30.00 and we feasted like royalty. Bring your own bag please, or buy one there for less than$2.00.The evening was impromptu with friends. Thanks for the reasonable prices, we had even a more fun time.The lines can be a little long, oh and bring one quarter for a shopping cart please. You get the quarter back in the end.People are super nice to deal with, and the selection is surprising large. Save a ton of money, and see the benefits of Aldi grocery store. Thanks again Don.

I love the value I get even on name brands.

It was our first time to shop at Aldis. The store was pretty worked over. We didnt realize you need to bring your own bags or pay for them and we didnt have a quarter for a cart. They were out of what we went for. The employees were helpful and friendly. Maybe it will be better next time now that we know how it works. I know a lot of people that love shopping with them.

Great place for groceries and they just reopened after a remodel.

Being that Aldi is a small grocery store, they still have much of what is needed. They carry GFree, I believe its called, gluten-free brand food, which doesnt have the added soy like other gluten-free free items. They are close and not that expensive. Never that many people working, from what Ive seen.

Smaller sized store compared to the Ankeny one, with slightly lower prices on a few items.2021, first week of Feb, the store is currently being remodeled so there is a minimal amount of cold (refrigerated and freezer) goods.Im not sure how long the remodel is going to take, but if youre looking for a weekly grocery runs worth - you may want to go elsewhere for the next week or so?

Finally it is open. I feel all fancy here in Altoona with the new Aldi. Shows that god loves Altoona! This store is super nice!

Aldis stores always take me back to my time in Europe. I like their selection, as well as the majority of their prices.

I am always satisfied with the customer service at Aldis. Most of the stores in the DesMoines area carry the same products so it doesnt matter which store you shop at. Prices are the same regardless. And they have the best product guarantee.

Store is good about encouraging distancing, and is well stocked.Only 4 stars because you have to either being bags or pay too much for store bags and bag your own groceries.

Love this store!They have only one brand of many items, but almost everything you need. (Ok no jars of pimento s last time I checked and a few other weird little items) but who needs overpriced name brands? What they do have is high quality and VERY competitively priced. Very.They also have an incredible selection of exclusive unique and delicious specialty items; chocolate, cheese, etc. House brands sold nowhere else. Did i say very reasonable prices?Im not sure how they do it, but their produce seems to last longer, too.I buy all I can there, first, and then pick up the other things I need on a second stop on the way home. The money I save makes the second stop (if I need it) well worth it.

Its almost always busy. The selection changes daily. If you find something to try, and go back to get more....they no longer have it. The produce is very reasonably priced, shipped in daily, maybe not as pretty as the other stores, but every bit as good! Bread, buns, ECT are fresh and much less costly. Seasonal items are fun and delicious.

More and more all the time Aldi has more vegan and organic options, cant beat the prices and selection !

LAURA was extremely rude. I am a regular customer and to be treated that way is not okay. all because I set my groceries on the belt where you are suppose to put your groceries. She did not want me to set them down for some strange reason. Their was a couple in front that had about the same amount of items as me (5-6) so made no sense what so ever. She was extremely rude when telling me to take them off after I set them down. Her not knowing I hace a nerve palsy on my left arm where I can not carry things well and also a broken foot! She was making very rude faces towards me having a HUGE attitude when I was not rude what so ever! Once she kept saying things and making her faces like a 5 year old it’s where I had it. I told her to cut the attitude. She than said nothing and continued to ring my stuff up and tried to be nice TRIED! I got her name and will be putting in a complaint.

My brother George and I walked up to the store for something to do. We both agreed that it was a good store.

Customer Service is a JokeI got in an open line to be helped next. The cashier told me to get in the other line because she was closing. By the time it was my turn after waiting in the longer line, the first cashier was back helping people. When I told my cashier what happened she told me theres only 2-3 employees in the store and that they have to wait until their line is a certain length to bring in another cashier. I told her there was already another cashier there when I got to the registers, all she said was sorry and couldnt even look me in the eye. This is the only Aldis Ive been to (in over 20 years of shopping at Aldis) with such poor customer service. Disappointed.

Great value for quality groceries!

$0.25 hassle for a cart and I had to pay for bags. You might save a few dollars on a cart full of groceries, but thats not worth the hassle to me. Ill work an extra hour each week and enjoy my Fareway.

Like a Walmart but much nicer employees and a lot smaller The prices can maybe be a little bit more for supplies but the supplies quality is good or fresher

Low prices. Clean store great fresh produce. Downside is the limited selection. They only carry the basics and the brands are their house brand with the occasional name brand available. I actually have not found any that taste bad yet.I love the fact that they have a growing selection of organic and gluten free food. Helps the budget stay intact.

This store has trouble keeping stock on shelves always out of something you came in for, very frustrating, they dont have much of a variety to begin with, it is keeping me from coming at all very poor management

Would love to give it 5 stars but the employees were just so dry. They had a lot on they mind. I walk in upbeat and by the time Im down the next aisle no friendly Welcome to Aldi! I speak to every person in the store to get a greeting but its all business no time to banter with a customer. This recent visit the lady employee (no name tag) seemed vexed when I showed her a loaf of molded bread I was selecting. Some garlic bread for dinner. She grabbed it and just went on no thanks or oh Im sorry you almost bought that. I check for expiration dates on every single thing even water. I wouldnt mind a friendly face once a while.

You cant beat their prices on milk and eggs. Its a no frills store, but we go every week and save at least $200/month shopping here. Bring a quarter with you so you can use a cart (you get it back when you put your cart away) and bring your own grocery bags with you or you will have to purchase some from the store or use boxes that they allow you to take for free. You have to bag your own groceries, which I honestly prefer, but its something to be aware of before you shop here. The staff is amazing and super helpful. I

This is a decently sized store and seems pretty clean. Its a great place to get fresh produce and canned goods to save some money vs. regular grocery stores. The staff was also friendly, so overall, I would come to this location again to shop.I think crime rates are a little higher in this area so just be a little extra mindful of your belongings and your surroundings if you shop here alone.

Aldis have really kicked it up a notch! Their prices were a little bit higher but their new items were still affordable and awesome! I saved a lot of money and I actually enjoyed my visit.

Cheaper priced groceries. Bring bags from home or pay small price for their Heavy duty shopping bags with handles. Must bag your own groceries & cart out also. Bring a quarter for a shopping cart too. Refundable when cart returned. Great milk, meat and produce prices as well as many other great values to help you stretch your shopping dollars to feed your family fresh, healthy foods.

One of my favorite places to shop. I buy alot of canned and frozen foods. Some produce. Wish the meat was Lower priced. If it were, it would be my one stop shop for food. They always check us out very speedy.
