I stopped in the dollar General last night around 9:45pm to get a few things for my grandsons birthday and I decided to get a Google play card last minute...upon walking up to the register there was a female customer that had an issue with a phone card or something. The 2 ladies working: Barbara and Sasha were very patient, very kind, Lovely ladies. Good on ya dollar General for getting some good workers, bravo. And thanks again ladies for being awesome

Staff is usually pretty helpful and they typically have what I need when I stop in.

The store is well kept and one of the workers was welcoming. The cashier that serviced us treated us as if our skin color was contagious when touched. He needs to be reeducated on customer service as well as other areas.

My area Dollar General has to be hands down the best one around! With new workers or old ones they are fast to help you let you know specials right when you walk in! If I need help they are quick to come and show me the way. Good Work Guys and Gals!!

This place is a little chaotic but its safe.

Today must have been stock day because there were a lot of bare shelves. However, I was able to find everything I needed at a decent price.

This is a pretty decent location. It was well laid-out, as well as very organized.The location is also good as there isnt too much in the area for groceries besides the Price Chopper which is a good five-minute drive away. So this store is good for quick shopping visits if you dont have the time to go to a larger grocery store.

Great bargains hidden among the chaos. Unique single serve portions of foods, which is great for travel. Very reasonable prices on everything including clothing.

This store needs an update for sure. Staff is normally pretty good, just like any retail establishment, there are good and there are bad. I dont think Ive ever seen more than one cashier open here, but thats pretty typical of any DG.

Fast and friendly. The clerk Tracy was pretty busy. Seems like every time Im there, she is always busy. Good thing. Store is looking better also.

The store is looking much better since the new manager Kendra took over. More organized and cleaner,very friendly and helpful staff. Still things to be done,but overall things are progressing well.

Absolutely filthy. Boxes everywhere. Merchandise in carts to put away. Isles unkempt and items not in correct place. I actually slipped on a pile of hangers on the floor. Tried to buy sunglasses but there were too many boxes in front of display. Sad state of affairs.

This store needs more square footage for all the merchandise they had crammed in there, but they made up for it with friendly employees and great prices. While some items fall under theyou get what what you pay for category (cheap junk), there are all kinds of bargains to be found by the patient shopper.

Got in and got, staff was alright.

Just feels chaotic and a mess...try to do a quick stop and it turns into a 20min ordeal due to only 1 cashier. I do have to say that when the store manager does notice she tries to help...but usually by then its been 10mins in line

I come here to get some hair stuff. It’s 930. The door and the site says it closes at 10. I get dropped off to come to find out the door is locked. The lights everything looking fine. One of the doors is wide open and one is locked. I call the store and someone sick so they can’t have one person running the store. That means 1 guy is sitting in there getting paid to do nothing. It’s unprofessional and quite frankly stupid. It’s unbelievable. I’ve never experienced anything this anywhere. At least they could’ve done is call someone to fill the sick persons shift. I’ve had 4 cars full of ppl coming to this establishment and had to send them all away because of bad customer service. I’ll think about this next time I wanna come. I might just spend the extra gas and just go to Walmart.

Ive been able to practically furnish my kitchen with almost all of the necessary what nots for a kitchen.

Cute/ cheap pick me ups for the kids, great stocking stuffers and cheap decorations. Every basic start up item for an apartment can be found there it seems, as well as hygiene, and household clean up items, Pet food and toys, food/ beverages, cheap tobacco, and even some entertainment.However, there are cons about this store unfortunately. The Cons about the store are that it depends on who the staff is at the time you go to this store on how you would be treated. Also, another con about this store is how cramped it is, or how UNDER staffed it always seems.When the store is understaffed, I am not the only one who has noticed boxes and tags strewn across the store isles carelessly, or how the shelves can either be way over stocked and over flowing, or ridiculously under stocked as seen in previous reviews of the store.Seems to me this is a one stop shop for all household needs,and the location is very convenient, so they get a lot of business from us.

The $ general I go to is on Merle Hay road about the 3300 BLK . I like very going there, the manager Tracy is the best always nice to see her, its like part of my day. See he always says something and makes you feel good. A hes very helpful what ever the subject wether its something in or about the store, and even a few times personal. Ill know this when I leave that store I always leave with a smile, cause of her or her great personnel. Ive moved over to this side of town from the East side of Des Moines and I can honestly say that this store and surrounding buisness have restored my faith in people and goodness, like it use to old be like you see on TV in the 50s, the old neighborhood store. One time I was short on money and I put something back and a lady ran out with the item and had paid for it and gave it to me. And thats happened a couple of times, not cause I look like I need it cause I work across the street at the car wash, to me I feel that the whole aura of the store is as good feeling. Thanks

Should be much cleaner. The isles are too narrow. Kinda causes claustrophobia.

Its a good store its just the isles are so narrow and crammed two people coming from opposite ends can pass each other in the isle cause you wont fit.. I like the staff there always cool

Always kind employees! Might not have the selection of everywhere else but the prices are some of the best. Especially because they have multiple ways to save even more. The receipts usually have a $5 off $25 and Ive seen the same add in the paper and the gentleman was telling me theres a text club where they send you savings as well.

Its a regular dollar store but everything was on security hooks so I had to ask the employees everytime I wanted to look at something...I understand ur deters thefts but it also deters purchases

There gallons of milk are only $1.95 everyday which is cheaper by far than anyone. Along with there Juice and products that are exspensive at regular store is super cheap here
