Terrible service after I actually purchased my motorcycle. Great selection of bikes, staff was friendly, and purchase was smooth but as soon as I actually purchased the bike they would not respond nearly as quickly. A couple of accessories that came in a few months later sat for weeks before anyone called and told me they had arrived. I was told after another accessory was to come in that I would get a call to set up an appointment to install it. It’s been 3 weeks and that call hasn’t come yet. Overall not impressed. I am going to push until I get all of my accessories that I ordered, and then I am never returning. I’d rather drive to the Indian dealer in Cedar Rapids then give Des Moines my business.
I was riding home to Colorado from NYC, stopped in Des Moines to get fuel, moved my Roadmaster out of the gas pump lanes to go into the store, came out, turned on the power and before I could start it, everything went blank. No power anywhere. Looked online, found Indian of Des Moines, called them, Jeff from service answered, we talked about what might be the problem. When asked if someone could bring me a new battery after they closed, Jeff said he couldnt due to a family event but he would check to see if someone was able. Jeff called me back, said no one was able but he would. Paid for the battery, Jeff showed up, hooked it up, and I was on my way. Who ever is in charge at Indian of Des Moines, Jeff needs a raise, he was a life saver! He didnt tell to say that either.
This place is extremely overpriced! $125 for one hour of labor!! They only replaced the front rim on my bike and claimed it took a whole hour and forgot to realign the back tire. So I called to ask why they didn’t and they said bring it in but we will have to charge you again for labor!! All this work could of been done in the first hour!! Scammers for sure!!
Been having issues with my Victory Vegas for a while now. Worked on it and replaced a few parts and still had the same problem. Took the bike out there to pick the mechanics brain and they where super helpful and gave me a few ideas to try. Didnt even charge me for looking at it . Theses guys are all about the 2 wheel life. Will definitely be spending my hard earned cash with them .
I purchased my Indian Roadmaster new in 2017 and left feeling like I got a great price on my new bike as well as what I received for the motorcycle I traded in. The new bike has been great and has since gone out of warranty. Recently I had an issue with the bike not recognizing the key fob. I brought the bike back fully expecting to have to pay to get the issue resolved. Cameron, the service manager, resolved the issue without charge. This is what I call great customer service. All of the staff is very friendly whenever I stop by. A great place for sales and service.
Just wanted to take a moment and thank Austin for his superior customer service!!! Very professional and exceeded my expectations!!! I will definitely go back and buy my next motorcycle from him. The entire staff is outstanding and made me feel at home!!!
I have been looking for a low-mileage used Indian for a little while and saw a exactly what I wanted on their website Thursday night. I emailed them immediately. Friday morning I heard from Chad and the deal was done in no time at all. We drove down from Minneapolis Saturday morning, the paperwork was basically ready and the whole process took no time at all.Everyone was friendly, helpful and very professional. The long drive down was worth every second. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Purchased a new Chieftan from Indian of Des Moines. Everyone went out of their way to make sure it was a great experience. They carved out time to install a couple additional accessories, same day, and made sure all my questions were answered before I took off on the bike. Post sale transaction with getting the first maintenance service set up was smooth as can be.
Had the best experience especially with this being my 1st visit. The lady that answered the phone was helpful. I spoke with Chad Burnett who set up an appointment for later on that day. Gr8 guy as well as everyone else that was working were very welcoming to me as well as all of the other guest that were in shopping around, the staff here is also very good at multitasking. As an end result, I purchased my try 1st Scooter & am loving it. Mr. Burnett made the process very easy. Ya gotta stop through!! Indian Motorcycle Des Moines, Mr. Chad Burnett is the 💣 & staffing you all are gr8 as well. Godwilling Ill be back💯💜😇🙇🏾♂️🙏🏾. Thank you Thank you all for such an gr8 experience. Blessings.....😎
Great service one of the only places to buy Ssrs in desmoines
Awesome place and great people, staff is always very helpful. Service is on point, however it will always be FENDERS to me. Lol
My husband is so excited to get his new motorcycle tomorrow. Very good prices
Great place Im a repeat customer and they always take care of me and treat me great. Better than fair prices on everything!!!
Attended the demo day and was kicked off property for not riding 85 in a 65 told the road captain I had a CDL and cant get a ticket he told me it wasnt his problem and I needed to leave the premises immediately. Will not be buying an indian motorcycle if thats how they allow people to be treated
If ya got questions dont go here there rude and look at you like your wasting there time especially on the phone and in person i guess i didnt look like i had money so i left and tryd over the phone same result im enjoying my new harley now thank you
My dad bought a motorcycle here, we had some initial issues, and they fixed everything. They took care of the carburetor issues, and showed integrity throughout the process.
Sweet used Ducati on the floor
Nice place. Friendly people. Clean.
Stood there looking at a motorcycle for 2300 dollars and tried talking to 2 people in there just quick short answers as they walked by to bad I had $3000 in my pocket ready to drive home on a bike oh well their loss
Fantastic experience from locating the bike I wanted, getting a fair price for my trade, following up with me and helping with purchases after the sale as well. Cannot say enough great things about Chad, Mike and the entire staff!
I love the motercicles
Service department top notch! Cameron is customer service oriented. He does a great job at explaining things to you if you have any questions concerning your bike. Highly recommend!
Best dealership experience I have ever had! Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Location Manager Mike DeMoss is awesome! Looking forward to a long relationship with this dealership and staff. You guys Rock! Loving my Indian Scout Sixty! Thank you so much again! 🤘
This is great place. Friendly help and look forward to do more business with in future.
They do all the service work on my bike. Their service is only surpassed by their helpfulness. Good selection of products. They really know their stuff and charge very reasonable prices. They recently winterized my bike and installed saddle bags. They did a great job, and the bags which they helped me to select are perfect for my bike - even though my bike is 25 years old!
LOVE their selection of new and used bikes! Went in looking to get a bike, and the staff was amazing! Other places make you wait quite awhile before they help you, but not here.
Small town integrity in a top notch big city dealership.
Switched my services on two of my bikes here. They did an excellent job and very reasonable on price. Great staff and they are always very knowledgeable. Glad I changed and would recommend the service over any one else in Des Moines
Knowledgeable and awesome staff. Been going to them for many of years.
Very friendly staff Wyatt and Randy(Arkansas) were very knowledgeable and kind, awesome experience and I am very happy with my bike purchase. They are willing to work with you and have new inventory everyday. I WILL be back and appreciate the whole experience there
Service department was very helpful and they had great customer service.
Friendly and knowledgeable. They were slow when I was there so I talked to the guys for awhile. They showed me a few option for exhausts and ran a few to hear them. Definitely worth a visit if youre looking to get into motorcycle riding or if youre a seasoned rider.
Becoming more and more disappointed in service and competence as an Indian dealership. Parts girls are not well knowledgeable. Cam is very good but not sure anymore about the remaining service people.
Great people, great service.
From tires, oil, services and parts, just to stop by and hang out....everyone is great to talk to! Ive always been taken care of 110% ive never actually bought a bike here but would in a second if i were in the market! Awesome group of people!
I was looking to purchase a scooter somewhere in Des Moines. I kept hearing the name Fenders. I walked in and Was greeted politely. I was shown my options and picked out the perfect scooter for me.I had to order the scooter and was told it would take 7 days. After 7 days i called my scooter was no where to be found. So I called back the next day they still did not know where it was. I called back a 3rd time and was transferred to a more knowledgeable person this is when I was hung up on. I asked my father to call them he was told that we needed to wait another 7 days. So after 14 days i get a call saying my scooter is there and that I can come pick it up. I ask my father to pick me up and bring me to fenders. When I get there no one knew what Im talking about after about 20 minutes someone comes and says that my scooter is still in the crate. So we wait for an hour for the scooter to be put together. At this point im late for work.I get on my scooter and ride it to work. Over the next few days riding it to work it starts stalling at stop signs and red lights in the middle of heavy traffic. So I call fenders tell them about the issue they ask that I bring it in. I was leaving for vacation that day so I leave it in my garage. When I get back I tried to start it up it wont start. So I call fenders they took down my info to call back the next day didnt get a call so i call them. The staff was short with me told me they didnt have a trailer available to pick it up since it wont run. I had to wait another week before they would have the proper equipment to pick up my Scooter and get it fixed. All and all the service Ive gotten from fenders has not been top of the line. Its the summer I want to be able to ride my scooter and have transportation.
There working on a deal for me. We will see how it comes out
Nice people and good selection of new and used bikes
I had some error codes on my new springfield while travelling and got in there without an appointment on a Saturday in July! They fixed my bike, answered my questions and got me back on the road in less than an hour. Amazing!! Buy your bike and have it serviced here - you wont regret it, says this riding for over 45 years and multiple brand owner - Fenders and Indian mc - a winning combo!
Extremely helpful with any questions I had and very generous with their time thank you Indian Motorcycle of Des Moines
Love my scout 60 i bought here .. been all good so far
Many nice motorcycles and ATV available, also looked at helmets and gear. Staff was very helpful even though they were quite busy. Went to a PTSD awareness ride that started at this location hosted by CVMA. Prices were a little on the expensive side.
Been going to this dealership for years. They always take good care of me
Great atmosphere great mechanics and I love my new FTR
Very excellent customer service and very friendly to open qeustions u wanna know low prices you can afford .had a awesome time there .
Stopped in with my dad and they had a Wide selection!
They have serviced both my bikes. Well-priced, good work, & friendly. Thank you!
Great bike shop! My go to for all of my scooter needs. Great people and great service!
Its a great place to get your bike worked on even if you dont own an Indian. GREAT price too
Needed a tire fixed took me in speedy service friendly people reasonable price
Sales staff always very helpful. Disappointed in the small variety of products available on the floor... So much branded gear, not a lot of other options.
Very knowledgable and helpful about blue tooth speakers and intercom systems for helmets.
They have the parts, the know- how and the location for a customer to return to.
Nice place, very friendly. Clean, great selection of merchandise.
Needed advice on my scooter. Nick was a total pro. Will definitely be going back!
*******YOU MUST READ*********I just left Fender Cycle, and I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. First, I dropped my bike of on Wednesday. I knew they couldnt get to until Friday. I was told that the bike would be ready that day or the next day. All I was having done was their Platinum Service, which includes checking thing over and an oil change. And besides the service, I got a full detail on the bike. I left some handle bar grips up there and a windscreen and asked the Service rep to install the windscreen and i would call him the next day and tell him if I wanted them installed. I called the next and told him not to install the grips. While i was there, asked if he could have the detail gut remove a Cell Phone clip from my gas tank which was held in place by adhesive glue. Now the weekend goes by, still no bike. Called him on Monday he said the detail guy wasnt there and the bike would be ready tomorrow. Asked for a price he said hell call me back. No call and Tuesday came around, no bike. Called him tuesday after 3 and asked if the bike was ready, he said the detail guy is working on it but he doesnt was guarantee it will be done by the end of the day, but itll be done tomorrow. So today which is Wednesday, I go pick up the bike, i wait 10 mins while he says the detail guy is just wiping it off(for 2full days). No problem, im excited to get my bike. I Looked the service rep directly in the eyes and asked him if there were any issue with the bike he found during service. He looked me dead in the eye and said everything is good. I get home read my receipt and in SMALL PRINT AND THE UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER, IT READ, LOW TREAD ON FRONT TIRE, BREAK PADS ARE LOW ALL THE WAY AROUND, AND FORK SEALS NEEDS REPLACED. MY ADVICE GO SPEND THE MONEY AT A REPUTABLE DEALER. PAY THEM THEIR EXPENSIVE A.. PRICES AND GET TREATED WITH SOME RESPECT. the detail guy was cool. (but dont waste your money)
Very friendly not pushy at all had a great test ride.
Just left this dealer after a conversation with a certain salesperson. Came in to buy a pair of gloves, decided to look at the bikes. Saw a nice Street Glide and he told me about it. Clearly knew his stuff. Then, when I asked about trading my Vrod on it, the tone changed. Condescending and insulting was the best way to describe it. And I quote no offense, but Vrods arent real Harleys. Wow, really? You do realize I own one and told you I love it, just looking for something bigger for touring. He clearly did not sense my discomfort and then rattled of 3 different stories about how bad Vrods sell, why they arent real Harleys etc. Oh and to top it off, wanted to give me 2k below retail because he cant sell it for the price listed and me to buy his for full retail. Worst salesman ever. Can understand why he has bounced from dealership to dealership with that attitude, I will not use his name, but he is very bald, very heavy and sports what he believes is a Harley Authentic goatee. Fender deserves better, hope they teach this guy to have a clue...
Great bunch that will do their best to accommodate their customers. Well worth a stop in when in Des Moines!
Awesome staff, best service Prices Ive ever found in iowa.
Went in this morning to buy a new Indian motorcycle but stood around and no one would even talk to me. Wanted to buy locally but looks like I will be headed out of town. Dang and they had the model and color I wanted, all silver Chieftain.
Great guys go there for anything you need for you bike, quad or Harley.
Great staff! Have purchased 3 machimes here.
I have taken my bike to Fender Cycle several times in the last year for different jobs on my 2013 Kawasaki ZX636 and havent had too many issues other than the main mechanic guy, Cam, always saying how busy they are and working to actually get a time scheduled. I am not sure if they are aware but majority of people work a full time job and arent able to just bring their bike in during normal business hours. However I always made it work but after having them install my underglow lights and the service I received afterwards I will absolutely NEVER give Fender Cycle anymore of my business.About a week after Fender Cycle installed my lights and I went to use my horn, nothing happens. So when I finally have time off work on a Monday I take my bike back and asked if it could be checked to see why my horn wasnt working. I speak with Cam when I walk in and ask if it could be looked at and immediately he cuts me off and says We wouldnt be able to look at it until the end of the week, beginning of next week. I tell him I think when the installed the underglow lights that something must have been disconnected to cause my horn to not work. He gets extremely defensive, says it was probably something I did, a fuse might be blown, etc. I ask if they could just check to see if maybe something wasnt connected properly during the install. He proceeds to tell me I would need to schedule a time to bring it in and they would have to check and it could take 30 minutes to 2 hours, he wasnt really sure.I have no problem paying for service, as I stated before Ive had numerous jobs done from oil changes, to tire changes but this was just awful customer service and to be a motorcycle dealership and not have any concern for a fellow rider out without a working home is ridiculous to me. I will not be returning or referring anyone to this shop ever again!
I ordered some Vane and Hines pipes from here on July 8th, received them in Blaine Washington July 15th. All is good, when i crossed the border and returned home to install them for my trip to California on July 20th i discovered that i had two of the same pipes. I started to make some long distance calls that will cost me as well. talked to someone at fenders and told him my problem. I asked how long before you will get back to me. Give me a couple hours max. I have heard nothing back to this date August 11th today. On the same day i thought i better contact Vance and Hines as well, I am still waiting to have this problem fixed.Unhappy, Greg in Vancouver B.C.
I wish harley was as honest and as fair as fenders ...i love this shop. thank you arron
Ive had nothing but good experiences. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.

Works on Tau Tau Chinese mopeds. Nice helpful staff.
Idk about bikes but on four wheeler parts they suck I ordered one last year it was all good ordered this year in and have been waiting for months and they sent the wrong one 2times so far and the cable was 35 and I had to pay 7.00 to return it now I have to pay again to send this one back so Im going to have 50 in a 24.00 cable I could have gotten at Yamaha
Great dyno work, fair prices.
Quick service but buying is over priced
Small inventory, indicated they had lots of shirts and leather when in fact they did not.
