Home Depot is a big box store in which I frequently shop. There is a good selection of plants, equipment, chemicals, potting soil, etc. for a yard.There is also a good selection of appliances, tools, light bulbs and too many items to mention for any household but which everyone needs from time to time.Most recently, we were searching for plants. We found a wide selection of beautiful flowers.I was also looking for a bird house. While there are stores with a better selection of this type of product, Home Depot did have a house that was suitable for any bluebird looking for a nesting spot.Home Depot has a large parking lot and is just off of highway 98 so it is easy to get there and to park without a problem.

Very helpful employees who go out of their way and beyond. Even on a phone call we received excellent help. Fort Walton, FL, store.

Very helpful staff. The guy in the paint section went above and beyond with helping me get the right color. I had to paint over a repair and even after I had gotten the wrong color, he was able to figure out what color I needed and swapped it out no problem. Also got some wood to make this swinging bed in the picture.

Overall very clean and organized Home Depot location. However, when you need a help its hard to find an available staff member. Theyre always busy. Also, Home Depot prices arent always competitive. Some of their items can be bought elsewhere for a noticeably cheaper prices. Always shop around and compare prices before making your purchase.

They always seem to have a better plant selection than Lowes. I get a lot of my fruit trees from here and have had no issues. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

The young lady that helped us find a grill for Fathers day was super nice and went out of her way to help is find what we needed I wish I would have gotten her name but she was great... we found what we needed and even bought extra stuff we didnt come for because she was so nice.... the char griller double play grill and we bought the smoker attachment is very well built and the price was awesome... the last that checked us out was also very friendly and wished a happy fathers day ..

Usually can find the hardware, tools, plants or other items needed easily. Associates on the floor frequently speak and offer assistance as needed.

Just went in for carpet padding but of course started roaming around. Every sales associate was very friendly and helpful. Found quite a few great deals in the nursery. Very healthy plants and a wide variety. Definitely need to go back for another round! (Masks optional.)

They sold me a refrigerator Samsung bottom freezer french door fridge...was told i had to buy a water hose to get warranty...when installers came after canceling twice costing me 3 days of work, they could not install water hose...told me to return to any home depot...home depot will not take my hose back for credit, will never buy a appliance from them EVER..they try and blame the delivery company visaversa US Pack Beware buy from someone who actually has what the sell. Disputed with my card company.....

As long time residents of Destin, we have had many experiences with the local Home Depot, most of the time satisfactory. Recently, there seems to have been a shift away from service in any form. A couple of weeks ago I needed to purchase 2 refrigerators, one for a rental and one for my home. On the first trip into the store, I could find no one in the appliance section. On the second trip, three employees were there talking, one sitting on a desk and the others standing around, yet they were oblivious to me looking around among the refrigerators. No one offered to help or to summons help. I left the store and bought the 2 refrigerators, totaling over $5:000, at another store.

Best Home Depot on the panhandle and I live in Panama City Beach

Had great help from the employees and found everything I needed swiftly check out was gone in a short period of time.

Its a home Depot just like everyone other one around nice staff, clean bathrooms, reasonable pricing.

Staff here have always been knowledgeable and helpful. They dont have tool rental which is the only reason I deducted a star. My phone gets a poor signal in the store but free WiFi helps me find things through their website when staff arent around.

This store has always been giving problems with returns. I have a Pro account and I am always buying material and tools @ this home depot. I bought Milwaukee tools 2 days ago and went to return a couple tools and needed to buy different version of Milwaukee for both of those tools. They would not return it or replace them. Manager said their hands are tide. I have never had such a horrible experience as I did at this home depot.

I find shopping at home Depot is a much more pleasant experience than shopping at Lowes. I think the HD has a wider selection of merchandise.

I went and visited this location, and they were absolutely amazing. I called them ahead checking to see if I was able to return some wood that I didnt use and I was actually able to return the wood. I was not rushed off the phone, the employee was very nice and respectful and answered all the questions I had in regards to returns and a couple of other things. I was building a dance floor from scratch that was going to be on the beach. I had the idea in my head how I wanted to build it and what it was to look like, but was not sure if the idea was actually going to work. I had several questions for the employee, and he was nothing but helpful and was able to answer all my questions and more! I definitely recommend this location. It is hard to find good employees that actually care about the questions and concerns you have!

Called asking for the Doors and Windows department. Was sent to the Lumber department. Said we needed to ask someone about sliding door installation. Was told the door guy wasnt in and wouldnt be in until tomorrow, so they couldnt help us. Asked if there was anyone else that could help us. Answer was no because the guy who was out is really their only door guy.Moral of the story: Dont call Home Depot on a Sunday for Doors and Windows. Lowes helped us out nicely.

They need to hire people that are willing to help. I bought 150 fence pickets and no one seems to know where I pick them up or load them. Everyone keeps pushing me to different departments

Do not shop here. Go to Lowes. I had to speak to the Manager, Jim, about a problem. He assured me it would get fixed and that someone would call me back. Days later not only is it not fixed, but no one has ever called me back. Even after calling the customer care number I cant seem to find anyone at Home Depot who cares.

We got there at 845 and all of the lights in the light departments were off, and we asked an employee and we were told they close at 9 even though Google said 10. So we rushed to grab what we had to have, and get to the front to pay and the cashier informed us that they ARE in fact open until 10 and we had plenty of time to shop. Not sure where the facts got mixed up, but made our visit unpleasant in any case

We had cabinets installed months later they fell off the hinges the glue they used became visible they said they would give me a can of paint for free if I wanted one our cabinets they told me they would last for years the doors are falling of we had to call someone in to fix them because homedepot told us there wasnt any thing they could do

Just a heads up of you are a veteran and want a discount they dont accept ur license as proof EVEN if it says ur a veteran on there. You have to have the blue veteran card with you, the one that almost no one carries with them anymore. I feel like they want to make giving out discounts as hard as possible...

After remodel my favorite hardware store. I live in Fort walton beach and both lowes and home depot in Fort walton are terrible compared to this one. Instock is great, store is clean, great product not dirty and run down like others are.

The selection of specialty products at the Home Depot are always very good. On occasion it is hard to find help but today EJ in the garden center was fantastic! She helped me in record time. She is also running the register in the garden center and she sure needs a protective little box to stand in to keep her warm on these cold cold days! Thank you EJ.

Employees lazy don’t want to help. The only one doing his job is the TSA guy by the self-pay register, Jimmy, wrongly accusing my girlfriend of putting something in the bag without paying when all he had to do was look at the screen monitor and see it was there already scanned! Terrible place to shop. Sad because I’ve worked for HD before and that’s what I remember them for, excellent customer service. Always going above and beyond for the customer. But not here in Destin that’s for sure!

It was a great shopping experience which helped make the drive to Destin from Crestview well worth the trip. Employee were customer friendly, offering the help I needed. I found what I went there to purchase. I was pleased to see that this location required shoppers to wear masks (this is highly important, especially for someone like me, as my health puts me in the high risk category) KUDOS to ALL

My wife and I are in the middle of purchasing a new home. We knew the make and models of the stove and dishwasher that we are wanting. We bought them earlier today very excited and very pleasantly treated. Fast forward to this evening: During dinner my wife and I were looking on line and saw the same two items we just bought earlier today from this store on line for 280.00 less from a competitor. So what does one do, I call the store to see if they are willing to price match the same items. Low and behold there went the kindness and pleasantry. I walked them through the online process that I explained to them only for them to say the prices were less even though I showed them that I was saving 280.00 more then their price. As I was speaking to the department Manager she was very rude and argued with me stating that they will not price match their competitor. At one point the department manager went as far as to say well you have all this other equipment ordered to make the price higher I was very clear that I was only comparing the 2 products in this transaction that we had ordered and nothing else. I then received a nice comment by the manger I am not stupid you know I replied I never stated nor implied that. I was just explaining the two products I was comparing are less expensive at another retailer. She then stated we are not going to price match due to a price that was ending today from the other store. I was then told that the store manager was going to call me, but he is going to tell me the same thing that they are not going to price match the advertised price of their competition. My wife and I just spent thousands of dollars with this company. Needless to say after that conversation and no call back we did cancel our full order. We went to the competitor this evening prior to them closing and bought the same 2 items plus some and on top of that we bought a new refrigerator to match. An additional 4000.00 spent over what we had planned. Please stand by your Low Price Guarantee policy. Thank You

When your redoing your floors and they say to get extra flooring, add 3 boxes to that number and then add another 1 or 2 just in case (you can always take them back) luckily the Destin store still had some available for me.. phew.. my first time to this store for personal use, and Im sure everyone just wanted to be at home (me included, I was missing football for this trip) so I understand the lack of Can I help you find something which is the norm. I went into this Home Depot to return an item. I did not have on a mask and was immediately harassed by an employee - she was inches from my face telling me I HAD TO wear a mask and I pushed back - even pointed out several in the store w/o a mask. She didn’t care and kept coming back to harass me. At one point, her mask was even below her nose. Why was I harassed so badly? I was wearing a Trump shirt and she even mentioned at one point - that I was trying to make a political Statement which was BS - I’m just over the masks and willing to accept the risk of not wearing one.The Store Manager returned my call and offered a solution - he will discuss the store policy regarding masks with the employee and that works for me. Wearing a mask is optional. I am changing the number of stars from 1 to 5 based on the reach out by the Manager.

Dont use Home Depot for carpeting. We paid $35 to schedule our carpet measure appointment, called to confirm the day before ---and then drove almost three hours to be at the location for measuring. We had been told that they would call between 7 and 9am to give us a window as to when they would arrive. When we didnt receive that call, I called and they said that there was a glitch in their system and they wouldnt be able to come today and there was nothing they could do. Then they told me to call the store to get my $35 deposit back. Wont be using Home Depot because cant rely on them. Not the first problem that we have had with them. We have spent tens of thousands with them but, the past couple years, lots of problems... We need to move on to the competitors.

Went to shop for Christmas Tree, Lady at the counter told me its 75% on all Christmas Trees, I asked her 4 times to confirm,when asked a guy who brings them he said no and she couldn’t tell you that. Idiots working there which do what they want without managers consent

Nice clean serviceable

Tried to but paint and stood around for 20 mins with no acknowledgement, no service, nothing. One guy working the paint dept and he could only focus on one thing at a time. Was all over the dept. HD should have at least 2 people working the dept. We left and took our business to Lowes!

The Manager including the employee of this store need to learn how to treat customers with respect and be helpful. There is no help from the associates including its store manager. No one knows anything at Destin store. The worst store ever.

The store is great just dont have Garden Department open early enough

Ive never seen such a clean store. If a speck of dust falls from the ceiling one of the many highly capable store associates who are actually looking for people to help (instead of hiding from customers) springs into action and make sure the store stays immaculate. Ive grown accustomed to shopping at the busy store in Panama City where we are still in recovery mode from hurricane Michael so an organized Home Depot is very nice to see.

We love Home Depot. They typically have the best prices and also typically have materials in stock. The customer service has been A LOT better since the whole Covid fiasco. Not that it was terrible service before, but it always seemed like they were short staffed which says to me there was a payroll problem. Hopefully this great customer service will stick as life returns to normal!!

I returned to this Home Depot today to have two keys corrected that as n employee made last week for me.I was met by a very professional staff member who took one look at the keys and told me why the first two didnt work correctly. She immediately chose two other key blanks and a different machine than the previous one and sent me on my way feeling much better about the transaction.I will continue to shop at this store, largely because of her positive attitude.

The worst, absolutely the worst ever in dealings with Home Depot. You might think after we spent over $4K in appliances they would be helpful. Well NOPE, NADDA AINT HAPPENING. After 2 different deliveries they couldnt right or all here.

Not impressed. Limited selection of furniture hardware and screws in general. Errors at checkout are excessive. Limited registers available. Wood cutting went well and accurate cuts. No motorized carts available at lumber entrance. Hardware appears more geared to contractor bulk purchase than DIY projects.

Great Custer service and quick checlout/curbside service too.

Best place to rent a moving truck by far! Ken in the tool rental section is an absolute delight and helped us SO much when U-Haul screwed us over on the day of our move. Can’t recommend enough.

The store was clean! The first thing you notice is an employee at the door counting how many people come in and not a second employee at the other door counting how many people are leaving to ensure they keep with the covid-19 guidelines. they wiped down the registers after each person went through and there were dividers put up at the cash registers with plexiglass for the customer and employee safety the store was well-stocked and we had no trouble finding what we needed as well as assistance from employees inside.

A very nice home depot with good service - my favorite when I need something for our house or garden.
