We gave Destin Auto center a shot having moved from Texas a few months back to Panama City Beach. With no Mercedes dealer nearby, we went by the reviews and reference. Given this business is 50 miles from where we live, the wife and I took the day off work and drove out after confirming an appointment a few days prior. One of the things we were assured is both my wife and I could get our cars done the same day for regular maintenance.Destin auto center opens at 8am, no one was there to let customers in until 815. My wife asked again if they would be able to get both cars done today and again they assured her they would get it done as quick as they can. Fast forward to noon, wife calls to check on progress and the car is still in the same place she parked it in the am. At that point they tell her they are still working on cars that were in the bay from the night before and no assurance they would even get to her car today.Needless to say we picked up the car and left. Waste of a drive and a planned day off work.. Odd way to run a business. Hope this review helps others, we will not be back.

I brought my car in for an inspection as the engine light (emission issues) kept coming on. Since I live near the AUTO DESTIN shop, I decided to use this shop instead of bringing the vehicle to the dealer which is half an hour away from my house.I dropped the car off for a few days to allow the shop to check thoroughly for any problems that would cause my engine light to come on.They said it would be hard to find the problem because they have to check the hoses and the emission systems which I understood. After a couple of days they came back and said the engine light is coming on due to putting too much fuel into the tank. This is a common problem with the capless fuel system.” I thought it was an odd conclusion so I ended up scheduling an appointment with my dealer to double check. Within minutes the dealership found the problem which was rodent damage to the fuel tank system. A rodent had been chewing through the fuel tank hose. They sent me photos and the damage is completely visible from outside of the vehicle.Just as I suspected, it had nothing to do with the capless fuel system problem. It’s quite unbelievable how AUTO DESTIN could have missed finding the apparent damage to my fuel tank and still charge almost $300 to see the vehicle. Id like to believe they did a smoke test or even a proper inspection on my car but I’m having a hard time believing that. If you want a thorough inspection I would NOT recommend this shop.

While on vacation my car started to make a noise. Went to this place to hopefully give me an idea of what it may be. Point being they charged me 146 dollars just to look at my car which included supplies??? They didn’t do anything. They told me that my car would cost 1142!! So I didn’t fix my car. Went home had my car checked and it only cost me 180 to fix it! This place is a huge rip off! Scam artist do not go here!

They were great and we continued to use them for routine maintenance and any car issues that arise. They never tried to do unnecessary things and were always helpful and reasonable.

Prices are fair and the quality of work speaks for itself. I trust these guys for all of my regular maintenance as well as any major repairs.

The best customer service have experienced so far. I brought my car in the morning to be look at. Within hours they have diagnose the fault gave me an estimate. I picked my car up the same day. I have visited a quite number of car repair shops in Destin but this is the best so far. I highly recommend this place.

I cannot say enough good things about the gentlemen that work at Destin Auto Center! They completely saved my entire trip today when I was in a tough spot. We were traveling into Destin for the day from Pensacola when boom out of no where my run flat tire essentially comes apart. I had absolutely no clue what to do and I decided to give Destin Auto Center a call. They told me to come on in and within two hours they had me back on the road! In two hours they replaced my tire, throughly checked my vehicle, provided as many options and educational advice on the issue and had me out the door. There are not too many places that provide this kind of customer service anymore and I am eternally grateful for how much they helped me today.

My family and I had taken our annual trip to Destin when I attempted to start my 2017 Toyota Highlander to pick up dinner the night before our departure home to Memphis. Click, click, click, click with multiple lights lit on the dashboard. Darn! I called AAA and they dispatched Josh from Destin Auto to the rescue. Josh arrived well before estimated time and called to meet me downstairs as my SUV was parked in the basement of our hotel. Josh got it started and instead of towing he did a quick test on the battery and recommended we drive it to Advance Auto to have them run a full battery diognostics in lieu of him towing. We did that and it was only a worn out battery which they replaced. I’m sure my wife and I were panicking at the potential weekend delay of our return home and Josh calmed our nerves and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you josh for putting the customer first which allowed us to not be delayed on our trip home! He also said I could call him early next morning and he would come tow me then if it ended up being something other than the battery. Top notch experience and 5 stars for the great service!!

Car broke down, all I wanted was it to be fixed in a manner that was effective and affordable. They wanted to charge me $7,000 for a repair that I received for $2,000. I don’t know if they were trying to squeeze a tourist out of more money or if they were just trying to be cautious. Either way they didn’t explain the need for wanting to charge me so much.

This is the only shop that has a European technician from Europe! Serviced on my Mercedes twice and also took care of the parts when a beach mouse made a home in my engine. Have had very good experience with Jay and the price is better than the dealership. I had awful service at the Fort Walton Mercedes dealership. Red has a shuttle service and the car service has been great!

I recently purchased a new used van from Destin Auto Center. It was an outstanding experience. It was my first time ever purchasing a car and the team was exceptionally helpful. They were friendly, personal, and patient. They gave me a very reasonable price and went above and beyond to make sure that the car they sold me was top-notch and safe to drive with two newborn babies.I truly cant praise this team enough. Couldnt pull up Google to rate this place fast enough! Had a great experience here. We have a Chevy 3500 passenger van that we brought to Destin on our family vacation. We were in Destin for 2 days and then the van started stalling, misfiring and eventually wouldnt go more than 10 ft. I called several places and made the decision to come to Destin Auto center because they were the only people that could get us in before we were headed back to Ohio. They did a diagnostic and got us up and running in one day by reconnecting a hose to the intake. They knew thet we were on vacation and that we were desperate so we would have believed anything and would have paid just about anything to get back on the road and they did not exploit our situation. Thank you Chase and the rest of the people at Destin Auto center!

My customer was having a loud roaring noise in their SUV. He thought it was a wheel bearing, but Destin Auto Center assured him it was not a bearing. They attempted to sell my customer nearly $1400 worth of brake rotars and pads (while he was on vacation). Thankfully, he did not purchase this useless repair. He brought his car into me today, and his brakes are in perfect condition, and the wheel bearing was his problem. This shows how absolutely dishonest and unethical Mr. Chase is here at Destin Auto Center. My customer deserves an apology, as well as his money back for the dishonesty and lack of professionalism he recieved from Destin Auto Center.

I had issues with my vehicle cranking I took it to destin auto got diagnostics when I first called they were very helpful kind and made me feel comfortable taking my vehicle there . They checked out my vehicle and was very honest about what was needed as a female I’m always skeptical about taking my car to the shop because I know nothing about vehicles ! We are in Destin on vacation. Last night I noticed my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee making noises at low speeds. I called talked to Chase. He got me right in. My wife baby and mySelf waited in the waiting room. He put cartoons on for the baby. They had it fixed quickly and we we’re back on the road!! Chase and the rest of the staff was great!

If you’re looking for affordable repairs on your import vehicle this is the place to go!! They worked on my Mercedes gl450 replacing my air suspension and did a great job and in a timely manner. Great service and quality work at a good price. My A/C went out so I came to this shop. Dave was very knowledgeable and he got me in right away. My car was ready to go by the end of the day! Spent $1300 to fix supposedly brake issue that was making weird noise. 2 days later and same noise with no difference. Rip-off.

I was visiting from out of town. Our car wouldn’t start. I had it towed to Destin Auto Center. They said my alternator was bad and quoted over $1400 to replace it and the battery. I called around to three other places including the dealership who all said it would be $800 for the job. Ultimately I paid to tow my car to another garage who tested the alternator and said it was fine.

Absolutely wonderful people hardworkers they will work with you and are very honest people Chase is a great person he will take care you and they make paying easy al worth the money I will only deal with these guys from here on out.

Janet explains the process and is very friendly. You always get updates on your vehicle repairs. They always do an amazing job. You will not be disappointed.

I’d be cautious coming here. In mid September I got stuck in FL during hurricane Sally with a flat tire. I wanted to support a local business and ended up at Destin Auto Center. I was told if I gave the guys $40 cash “as a tip” they’d patch my tire with an “industrial patch” that would “last longer than the tire itself”... a month and a half later my tire is flat. I am being told by the guys at discount tire that the patch was not even good for a car tire, but is better for fixing something like a lawn mower. I just paid $11 for a brand new tire at Discount because it was under warranty. Lesson learned.

This place is shady. From out of town and brought my car in for service light. Was told I needed a new distribution purge valve. They made me pay for the part in advance and when I took my car for a second and third opinion was told that they had scammed me. Stay away from this business. Most of their google reviews are fake. Check the profiles from the reviews..... That should tell you all you need to know about this auto shop.

I was in Destin on a Sunday from out of town when I experienced a chatter in rear of my f150. I called Destin auto center They sent a wrecker within 10 minutes. The next morning they called with estimate.They ordered the part and had me back on the road.All the employees where helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone

I purchased at 4runner from Destin Auto for $4500 within 3 weeks it was over heating. I brought it in to get it serviced by them. This is when all the problems started to happen-Was called by them they said Your car is fixed please come pay and get it I show up pay $500 and was told to walk to the back to pick it up and leave. Once I walk to it the entire front section is still taking apart with parts all around and a mechanic still under the hood It wasnt ready. They said it would be ready the next day.-Was not ready the next day so they said it would be ready the next day. They ended up saying It will be ready the Next day for 7 days straight-One day they called and said they found another problem and my new total will be another $600-I walked in the shop that day and had a heated conversation with the owner which was very unprofessional in yelling.-Finally puts my car together just enough to drive couple miles.(they had my car for 2.5 weeks now)-Right away it over heats.-Has no coolant in it-Has no oil-New clicking noise-New bucking motion while in idleOf course next day I show up extremely mad. He says I will not give you money back and calls the cops on me.-I then bring my vehicle to L & L in Fort Walton Beach. Highly recommend. He dianosis my vechile within couple hours saying I do not know why the other shop even worked on it. Your Engine is useless. Sounds like you got stiffed when you bought it and sounds like they would just keep working on it to make you throw moneyUnable to reply to the owners statement below.Below statement is 0% correct.Un-Organized as a business. I am not the only one that received bad service. I might be the only individual in a place to bring this to court. Hopefully justice is claimed and the fraud bureau reaches out to this company.

Linkage went out on our corvette on a Friday night of our vacation. Called them Saturday morning expecting to have to rent a car to get home on Sunday. They called us by 10:30 AM saying we could pick it up and be back on the road by 11:30. Saved us from having to pay for a week long rental and a 3 hour drive back just to pick up the car later in the week. Very down to earth and worked hard to get us running again in just 2-3 hours.

My car was flooded and apparently the engine was hydralocked. I have my car towed to destin auto center for repairs.The shop manager Dave while was very nice and seemed to be most helpful at first.He got online and found a motor a jasper engine to be exact.$5500 was the price he quoted me for the motor.He asked could I put down a deposit on the engine .wich I in turn gave him 5000$$. After he had my money in hand he came back to me telling me that he could not get the motor I paid for and could only get a lkq. But not to worry they were the same price and it would not cost me a dime extra.After looking around the motor was only 2300 and he then tried to tell me he owed 1500 for a core fee from other motor. That is almost the price of the engine that was used to replace the old one.As Dave will tell you he is from the armpit of the south. BEWARE HE IS A SNAKE OIL SALESMAN .TOTALLY DISHONEST .AND NOT AAM OF HONOR OR INTEGRITY. Look out Dave legal action is to follow..

I had my f250 repaired here few times and when it comes to diesels it’s very hard to find a shop in Destin that knows diesels! I glad AAA recommended Destin Auto to me. They did great job and all transactions was painless!

David was very helpful in keeping me updated on the work being performed, gave me the total price before the work was performed, and even found a valve cover leak that was deemed a fire hazard. My car would not turn over so I had it towed to Destin Auto Center. They called me when it arrived and when they figured out what was wrong with it. The manager was upfront and honest about what we needed to get it running. He took the time to explain everything so I understood the problem, the solution, and the cost for everything. My car was fixed quickly and runs great! I highly recommend this business!

First, I never write reviews but feel that this one is necessary. I have a 2008 F-250 Super Duty Diesel with a good amount of miles, 165,000, and I expect from time to time that things are going to go wrong and that it will be expensive. Recently, while visiting Destin, my fuel system failed and required a tow. My insurance dispatched a tow truck and the driver was very helpful and courteous. I asked if he knew of a good, local mechanic and he told me his towing company was affiliated with Destin Auto and they did repairs, so thats where I had it towed. This was on a Sunday, so the following day I called and spoke with Andre. Andre was very nice and said hed get back to me once they had a chance to do some diagnostics. A few days later Andre called and told what they had found and that the repairs would be $3900. Then I had a conversation with him about making a couple of payments since this was an unplanned expense. He was very agreeable and said hed allow that and wouldnt charge me storage until it was paid off, which I thought was very decent of him. Since the shop also sells cars, I asked if they might want to buy the truck and resell and wed work out the details of the repairs in the amount they may be willing to offer. He said he couldnt promise me anything, but would have Matt his sales guy call me to discuss what they may be willing to do. This is where everything goes sideways. For almost two weeks I heard nothing from Andre and Matt never called. After multiple, unsuccessful calls to Andre, I asked David, the shop guy, if he knew anything about my truck and he told me that the labor and repairs came to $5889.09. I asked why hadnt I been contacted before they nearly doubled the amount of the repair to get my approval? He said that he had personally called me and discussed it with me. I responded that until the call we were on, I had never heard his (Davids) voice before and had no idea who he was and had only ever spoken to Andre, so how is it possible that he had personally discussed the cost of the repairs with me? A few days later I went in to speak to Andre and when I got to the service desk and asked for him by name, a dude (who is suspect was Andre) scurries into the back and David tells me that hes out of town. David gives me a story that there is another F-250 diesel in the shop and he had mistakenly called that owner instead and provided the information about my truck to them which is why I was never told about the increase in the amount of the repairs. Based on that sketchy story, I knew I wasnt going to get anywhere with David. I told him about the conversation I had with Andre about making some payments to them and he acted aggravated by that idea. In good faith I paid $500 down. When I returned I paid the remaining balance of $5403.41. Out of curiosity I checked on some pricing for the parts; They charged me $1,091.50 for the High Pressure Fuel Pump, $222.75 for a Fuel Pump Gasket, and 275.35 for Fuel Lines. An auto parts website list the same parts for a 2008 F-250 Super Duty Diesel 6.4L as; $244.79 for a Fuel Pump & Filter Assembly kit, $38.79 for the Fuel Pump Gasket Kit, and $14.76 for the Fuel Lines. Their parts were $1589.60 total and the websites was $647.34 a markup of 40%. (Keep in mind this is 40% margin of retail over retail not wholesale so their markup over wholesale may be in the 70% to 80% range) I was charged $353.49 for Shop Supplies which werent itemized. The labor charge came to $124.41 per hour and they logged 26.11 hours. The short of it is $3248.46 for Labor and $2154.95 for Parts. Im not sure about the quality of their work because I just got the truck back yesterday. Honestly, if they had called me and told me about the increase in cost, based on the age and mileage of he truck, I would have told them to stop doing any work and Ill tow it back to my home in Alabama and fix or sell it there. The lesson here is to get a Binding Estimate in writing when doing business with Destin Auto Center.

I was in Destin for a few days alone with my kids when my van broke down. David and the team at Destin Auto Center made me feel like their first priority and got me back on the road by the end of the day! I highly recommend this center. The staff is so kind and my van is good as new!

This place is awesome! I am originally from California but was visiting family near the area. This place did not disappoint. I needed fast attention in order to get back on the road to head home. They were so efficient and got my car fixed pronto! My family has been going here for years and refuse to go anywhere else!!

I always thought everything in Destin area are pricey but Autoworks is definitely not. They are surprisingly low prices and they do everything. Everyone is so well organize and very very clean compared to other places. The service is super fast. I will recommend friends, families and coworkers to go there.

I absolutely Love Autoworks. They offer impeccable services with reasonable price. EXCELLENT EXPEDITED SERVICE as well as customer service. Ive been coming here for a year and will continue so. There is no need to take my car to a BMW dealership when I can get better service and price here.

I needed the fuel pump replaced on my 2009 Mercedes sl. I called several auto shops around Destin area, and came across AutoWorks . From the moment I started talking to Rene I knew they were a quality, customer friendly repair shop. Rene gave me a very reasonable estimate, and they were able to get my vehicle in right away. The repair was completed on time and at the price quoted. They give military discount on labor! I am completely happy with the service.

Super helpful staff and great attitude. I took my Lexus suv for major service and could not be more happier! Dealers price was $2300! AutoWorks did same work for $1800 thats a big difference and did not have to drive all the way to Mobile! Plus they gave me 2year warranty!
