Whenever I go into a Sephora store, I already know what I want. It could be a repeat item(s) and/or I pretty much have done my own research for a new item(s). I think the sales staff has improved after the store closed due to the pandemic of course. My only qualm and this is for the employees as well is you need a BIGGER STORE!!! I call it the gingerbread box. I hope this will come to fruition!
My friend and I went in last night pretty close to closing and we were greeted so pleasantly. Syd helped us out and this girl was fantastic. She told me about some new products to try that I am really looking forward to getting! Her asthetic is absolutely fantastic, always good to see another stunning goth girl out and about. Her personality was absolutely incredible, the type that will hype you up. Hands down, best interaction I have had in a Sephora. Thank you Syd!!!

Just left this place. Customer service weird. No one pay attention. They got 2 customers total and they cannot take care of them. Making poker face if you’re asking something.Afro-American lady with 2 braids told me if I’m gonna touch one more time highlighter which I were trying before I will buy, she gonna kicked me out.Lady at register was mean as well. When I asked her when I’ll be able to smell perfume so I will be able to buy. She started screaming that it’s for your protection. But I asked just when, no why or her opinion. She wasn’t polite at all.Totally wouldn’t recommend just cause of customer service.
The only reason I give them a 3 is because it took nearly 45 minutes before someone talked with me/helped me....but when I did get helped the woman was really nice and informational!

I’ve had very pleasant experiences at this location. I visited once to redeem a perfume card, and staff was super helpful making sure I found the exact one that I was looking for. Tonight, I came in for a color match. Hannah was fabulous. She was cheerful, sweet, and matched my skin tone perfectly on the first try. She also helped my friends and I, who don’t wear much makeup, find the type of products we were looking for quickly by asking a few questions. She was spot on each time. Lovely experience with her and the rest of the staff was super sweet as well!

Today, I have visited this particular store, and one thing is for sure, the rudest employees I have had to deal with. Especially, post pandemic, which we all know mask mandate has been lifted afor those vaccinated, which I had been. However, the store employees continued to rudely asking (mandating) for me and husband to wear a mask, which we politely declined. But, another employee very disrepectful and confrontational and loud tried to stop me from finding what I was looking for by loudly and confrontational trying to tell us about protocols. The only way she back down from her confrontational stand was when my Husband, politely but firm, asked her to bring down her tone and stay away from me. Definitely, said store must get in the same sheet of music as other in the premises of Destin Commons. By the way, heard about behavior issues with store employees from other clients. Thus, said employees had proved them right.
Their employees definitely racially profile. I was followed around the store and asked if i opened a box when i was very obviously only holding it. It’s very upsetting to experience this when all i wanted to do was shop.

Cutest Sephora store with the best customer service! I had a most excellent experience here. I think at some point during my visit I encountered every employee working the shift and they were all very helpful and kind. I have had less than great experience with Sephora in the past (not this location) and my visit totally redeemed the company for me. The only negative was that a few of the products I wanted were not in stock. However, the staff offered to order anything needed with no charge for shipping. I didnt take them up on it this time since I can pop back in another day. They helped match multiple foundations for me and provided samples so I can feel confident I prick a great product that I will love. I think that the staffs attentiveness and customer service is something a lot of vacationers dont understand and feel like they are being followed. Its simply good service! They are there to make your visit go smoothly and help you find things without having to search. I will 100% be back.
I had a allergic reaction to a pallet I purchased. The staff was incredibly helpful, issued a full refund, and assisted me with finding a different one. Thank yall for getting me fixed right up!
I really need new make up however, the smell of perfume was soooooooooo overpowering when I walked in it made me turn right around and walk out!
This particular Sephoras staff are among the friendliest and most courteous I have encountered anywhere.They helped walk me through things I didnt understand initially. They were friendly and professional. Their individual expertise helped me find exactly what I needed.Having this sort of guided care on-site is a tremendous benefit and something I will continue to come to Sephora for in the future.

Went in with my fiancé to look for some make-up for her. The staff was friendly and not pushy letting us look around without forcing her to answer questions. While they didnt have the color pop she was looking for they did have Versace Dylan blue much to my surprise. Had to get it, such a solid cologne!
Theyve definitely improved customer service today. The ladies working were attentive and helpful with us and we saw them chatting and helping with others as well. They were happy and laughing with customers and you could tell they were having fun doing their job. The displays were so well put together and so pretty. Everything looked so appealing. This isnt my local Sephora but this was hands down the best Sephora experience Ive ever had. The customer service in my town is trash compared to Destins location. Feel free to come in and chat with the ladies about makeup or skincare needs,tips,and products. They are very inviting. 💕

The customer service here is horrible. I wasnt greeted when I walked in and I was followed while trying to shop. I was sick of it so I didnt buy anything, however my designer purse made the alarm go off going out the door (as it also did when I first walked in) and I was stopped when I was already about 100 feet from the store. Come to find out they had called security while I was in there as that was who had stopped me outside the store. Even though I had opened my purse and my everyday makeup bag I carried to show them I didnt have anything, I still got pulled inside. One of the girls that told me to sit and wait had longer dark hair, brown eyes, probably around 57, curvy, and may have been Hispanic gave me such disrespect telling me not to try her. As if she was threatening me. She and this blue haired woman said they were going to call the cops on me as the security guard stood in the background. I tried to explain to them that I really didnt have anything until the store manager came out to have a talk with me and believed I didnt have anything as I opened everything I had, at least she was a little more kind. I was so embarrassed because they publicly shamed me for no reason and heavily disrespected me. I will never be returning to this location and I really hope my review is helpful for others to avoid this kind of horrible customer service.

Love the atmosphere here and has everything you can possibly need. Unless you are visiting the mall, please call to check availability of the product you want to purchase, because this area is a tourist spot and they easily run out of stock if you dont check in first.
I had a good experience at this store when I was trying to pick foundation. He helped me pick the right color for my skin, and I am very happy with it. I really appreciate his help. My grandmother bought me a gift card for my birthday and told me that she was told that I would get something free from the store for my birthday, the price of the gift card, and because I am a beauty insider. I knew from online and from the emails I received that the free gift should have been samples. I went up there and spent the money and asked about the free gift. The only thing the girl mentioned was a makeover. I didnt want one of those. I even believe that I mentioned free samples and she said no. Im disappointed, because I was really looking forward to the free samples. Ill just shop at Ulta next time. They have a better points/reward program.

The lady working the register was absolutely one of the worst retail employees I have ever met. She was beyond rude to the people in front of me, she had no lick of sense about decent customer service and she did not have a poker face when it came to what she was thinking. you could tell by her facial expression that she was passing judgement and ignoring people’s questions out of sheer impatience. the whole time i was in line she was short and snappy to every customer she came in contact with and she simply should not be employed at a store that takes such pride in their customer service and hospitality. I will not be returning to sephora, I will get everything I need at ulta or online because I refuse to have another experience with an employee like that.

Ive been here a couple times. The first involved a very nice lady who ultimately helped me but did not provide what I asked. No biggie.The last time I went in, I was looking for something specific. It was not on the shelf so I asked an employee for help. She said she would check to see if they had it in the back, and a minute or so later I spotted her ringing people up at the cash register. I waited as she rang up someone who gave about 6 different phone numbers and emails for her Sephora account, and thought surely as soon as she was done with that person she would do what she had said. Turns out no. So I asked another employee about it and she said that the employee, now ringing up a different person entirely, was helping me. At this moment, 3 staff members were standing in a circle not too far off chatting. So apparently they can have a full staff but only one of them is allowed to use the register, and also no one else on staff can help you when that person is now chained to the register, and they certainly wont take the other register so that person can leave. It was weird and silly, and I wondered if the fact that I was in dumpy jeans and an overlarge plaid shirt made them think I wasnt worth the hassle. The cashier said shed help me once she was done with the line, which now had another person in it. I said nevermind, I came to see a movie starting soon so I wasnt going to stick around. Instead of relieving the employee at the register so she could finish helping me or maybe having one of the other 4 employees not doing anything jump in, they were like, Aw, are you sure?I left without making a purchase and found the same item for the same price at Belk, where two employees provided good assistance like it was their job or something.
I first want to say that I am a VERY frequent shopper at this location. The service is amazing, I love the girls!! I want to address the comment @ALYSSA JOHNSON wrote. Im always at this store and I was able to witness the situation she claimed . Most all of that was made up, she was caught stealing a TON of products in a tote bag, not a designer bag. For two, she wore a wig and heavy makeup thinking shed be in the clear. I saw her looking around the store for employees while I was shopping. I actually alerted one of the girls when I saw her put 2 Natasha Denona pallets in her purse. Just wanted to throw that out there, so sick of dishonest theives trying to play victim.

Lately it seems like this store is constantly out of stock of many items. Ive gone 3 times in the past 3 months and each time something was out of stock. Im talking big brands as well, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Fenty Beauty, Lancome... I live 35 minutes away so its a bit of a drive and I like going into the store so I can check out new products but I guess I will just have to order exclusively online now. The employees have always been nice and its not their fault, who ever manages the store really needs to work on keeping the store stocked well.

I am in Destin for vacation right now and tonight my family decided to eat at Paula Deens and maybe go in a few shops. On Google, the Destin Commons has 10 as their closing time and after dinner it was around 9 so I figured Id have time to walk over to Sephora (not even a 2 minute walk) and look around. When I walked in, I was not greeted by a single person. Instead, they all stood in the middle of the store talking and laughing. My grandma came in a little after me and was never spoken to either. My boyfriend and I walked around for a few minutes while I looked at some primers. I walked over to the skincare because I wanted to get a full size of the drunk elephant no 9 jelly cleanser. I grabbed it and was looking for something else from the brand I might like and thats when after about 15 minutes of being there, I was spoken to for the first time. The manager, I presume, asked me if there was anything particular I wanted and when I told her no thanks I was just looking she noticeably got agitated and told the other girls working to just go on home. I immediately put down the product I was going to buy and walked out. I work as a waitress and I know how it is to have someone walk in last minute. If someone wouldve spoken to me I walked in, I wouldve asked what time they closed and made sure I was in and out but since nobody said anything, I figured they closed at 10 like Google said. I assumed I had time to look around. As I walked out another customer who was in there when I came in told me that she was never spoken to either. I felt like it was very rude and unprofessional. Even when I was spoken to, it was obvious she was just trying to get me to hurry up and was annoyed when I said I was just looking. I made the quick decision to put down what I was going to buy because of the poor service. Ill wait until I get back to my town and drive to the nearest sephora (an hour away from my house) to buy what I was going to get. Id rather spend my money at a place with good customer service.

Employees were extremely rude. I felt very uncomfortable the entire time because I felt judged. The employees would make faces whenever I was looking at things. I had been in a few times, but one specific time was awful. A box had been opened to a tarte pallet I wanted to look at, and there was no tester. I started to continue to open it then a worker came by and offered me the tester. I was completely okay with this, until she snatched the one I had in my hands out of it. She gave me a nasty look then walked away. I immediately felt uncormfortable and left. Not good customer service at all.
I dont get all the bad reviews on this Sephora because I visit this location frequently, Im a local, and Ive never had a problem. There may have been one or two occasions where I needed help and couldnt find an associate, but it was usually because they were all busy helping other customers or maybe they mightve been short on help on another occasion. Every time Ive gone in there I am almost always greeted, and I always have 3 or 4 associates that will approach me and ask me if I need any help. The only thing I agree with that other reviewers have said is- about when the associates will follow you around the store while you shop... that is a bit annoying to me. Its like theyre afraid youre going to steal something and that can make you feel a little bit uncomfortable when they do that.The oriental lady there named Meriah is the best associate they have at that store. Shes the skin care specialist and I just love her to death. She is always so sweet and very helpful to me. She knows her stuff too and can always recommend the right products for all your skincare needs. All of her product recommendations for me have worked out great. She remembers me each time I go there and knows me by name. Ive never had an unpleasant shopping experience at this location.

I don’t know if all Sephora stores are the same, but this one was REALLY cramped.
I went in to purchase foundation, concealer, powder, blush and an eye brow pencil. There was no available staff to match my foundation so I waited a bit. There was not enough staff for the customers and to be honest the staff that was there looked unhappy. This store is in a heavy tourist area and gets a whole lot of traffic. Too bad no more employees were there to help because I was tired of using up my vacation time waiting on help SO I walked across the parking lot to Belk and was taken care of at the Mac counter wonderfully and found everything I was looking for with no waiting and a friendly sales lady.
Nice little cosmetic store. Generally clean with staff everywhere you turn.

Literally EVERY time i come in to this location, they NEVER HAVE ANYTHING i am looking for. Got a sample of this perfume when i ordered online (from sephora) and came in to get a full bottle of it, and of course the lady was amazed i had a sample of it.... because they didnt even have it in store! Lmao not only that but it seems every time i go in for something and they tell me they dont have a product (when i have gotten it at other locations) they are always RUDE about it. Guess i will just keep my sephora list to online only or big cities.
I felt like a rich white woman walking alone at night in a bad neighborhood here. The staff sizes you up, watching you with greasy, over-highlighted looks from every direction, and when you decline being holla’d at they’ll continue to follow you like dogs in heat. Speaking of dogs, you might even overhear them talking about their coworkers and other guests that come in like dogs. How dare someone come in the next day wearing the same outfit! Guuuuuurl. Can a lady shop without someone tailing her while being utterly unhelpful? Go ahead and keep following me. I might just have something in the (s)tank for you. Toot, toot...

I went to this Sephora location twice in the last two weeks. When I walk into a Sephora store, Im usually greeted with a warm welcome. Not this one though. The employees didnt even acknowledge that I was there. I was mainly looking for a concealer that would match my skin tone. The lady who then helped me didnt even get the color match right after her third try. I was very disappointed because I drove out of my way with the intention of buying concealer and walked out of there with nothing. I ended up going to Belk around the corner and turns out they had my concealer and the lady who helped me there got my color match the first try. Also, a few big advantages is that Belk has better deals, not a lot of people traffic, and the layout of their beauty counters are spacious.
I was recently at this Sephora location while on vacation in Florida. I am a frequent shopper at my Sephora back home, and I love makeup dearly. I was excited as always to go to my favorite store, only to not be greeted by the employees. Instead, I was scowled at by them. I had planned on buying a new foundation and concealer, as well as a new eyeshadow palette. While I was looking at shades for foundation because none of the employees bothered to help me, I was literally being glared at and followed around the store by this older woman with short, white-gray hair. Whenever she was not busy being judge mental, she made sure to spend her time in front of the mirror, fixing her hair, applying lipstick from the stands, and picking things out of her teeth. She was not only unhelpful and rude, but she even stood in the way of displays where customers were trying to pick out products that fit their liking. After I had found a shade that I thought matched me well, I asked a different employee if she had ever tried the foundation, and the response I got was simply, “uhhhh, yeah, it’s really good. Like, for your skin and stuff. I’ve never tried it though.” Even though I was put off all the more by her “help”, I continued to browse through the store and received multiple glares from other employees in the store. A woman with dark hair and skin was incredibly rude to both myself and my mother when we asked for help finding a mirror with good light. She did not respond to us at all, and honestly she seemed to be bothered by our question. By this point I was baffled and completely disgusted with my experience in the store, so I put all of my products back and left. I have NEVER had an experience like this with a Sephora location. Truly the worst encounter I have ever had with customer service in general, and especially at a beauty store. I am typically greeted warmly, and helped often. The artists are always very talented and appear to know what they are taking about. They are always very helpful and kind. This was certainly not the case. I will never return to this location again when I am in the area, and I am completely disgusted with this location, the employees, and the managers of it for allowing such horrendous service to be provided to customers. If I could rate this 0 stars, I most definitely would.
Im not from Destin and dont get me wrong, I love sephora Im a frequent in my local one but going to the commons Sephora store was the worst experience Ive ever had. All the beauty consultants were rude. None of them either wanted to help or wanted my money because I was going to buy quite a few things from the store. I stood around and waited for several minutes before someone finally came up and asked if I needed help. This is ridiculous, theres a certain way people should be treated. Maybe Destin just has the reputation of being rude snobs but it wasnt necessary. Be kind, you never know what type of people youre going to meet.
Today, I went to Sephora in Destin FL and had the most pleasure of meeting Mireya. She was the most helpful. She taught me the proper way to take care of my face. Serum patted on a cleaned face, moisturizer rubbed from the bottom up to lift, and then SPF last. The product I purchased is C.E.O. C+E Antioxidant Protect and Repair Moisturizer and C.E.O. Multivitamins Vitamin C Serum and Luna. I cant wait to try it out tonight for the first time. Mireya was such a delight and was so knowledgeable and told me that this product contains NO SPF and went over how important it is to use SPF (especially with the added Vitamin C this ptoduct contains) and asked me to come back and see her in the future so she can see the positive changes in my face from this highly rated product.

If I could give this store zero stars I would. The store manager I was trying to work with was rude and honestly shouldnt be working in retail period. Ill stick to online ordering or head out to another location.
