Great place to the have brunch. Was greeted with an umbrella while waiting outside in line. The dining areas both inside and outside offered a great environment! I got the green chilaquiles with sunny side up eggs and the baked apple pancakes. The coffee is always a plus!I highly recommend this place!
This right here is my to-go-to brunch spot! I highly recommend this place!!! Plus, everything is organic! I havent been here since COVID started. The staff is always so nice upon arrival.Once there the host asks for number of party, take your temperature, and ask if you need a menu or scan a QR code to view it on your mobile device. Then you wait on the side and once ready you go inside to place your order and pay.House Benedict: this is one of my favorite plates to get every time I come here. The hash browns are crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The eggs are poached just right that when you cut into them the yolk runs down over the ham mixing with the sauce tying it all together. *Chefs kiss*French toast: is always toasted just right and not too much egg wash. Which gives you the brioche taste still. They tie it all together with their house made chocolate whip and cajeta (house made caramel).Vanilla Latte: I love their coffee as its sourced locally and has a strong taste regardless of how you get it. The latte wasnt too sweet which let the coffee taste take over.
The food and service is great! Me and two others ordered a meal which was served relatively quickly. I ordered the chicken and waffles with an unlimited ice tea and it hit the spot. My companions ate an order of churro waffles and hazelnut chocolate pancakes which were also great. I recommend this place for breakfast
The food was really delicious! We had waffles, mimosas, steak and eggs with hash brown. The portion was good and even though it was take out, the food tasted fresh! The mi.osas was really good as well. They currently have outdoor dining but there was a long line so we decided to order online instead.
This place is great! In my 44 years Ive never been to a place that had the perfect combination of short wait time, excellent food, and amazing service. The staff was so attentive, friendly, and helpful. It was so good that we ate breakfast there 7 consecutive days during our visit to California. I would highly recommend checking it out.
Sometimes I want to try new brunch spots, but then I remember Poached exists and I come back here every time. Came on a Sunday around 10:00 AM, I was seated incredibly fast and got my order just as quick. Staff does a great job at social distancing and disinfecting tables, you even get your temperature checked. I love their Chicken & Waffles as well as their Churro Waffle.
Too many tables inside, if I put my arm to the side in would touch the person in the next table. Did you see my pic? A man inside the kitchen wearing his mask under the nose! And I saw him pulling it all the way down to talk! Too bad I wasnt able to take a picture to report them to the authorities! And the food wasnt even that tasty. I asked for chilaquiles no cream and yes, they the served them with cream. You have to wait in line to be seated and it is a bit expensive for what they serve. Our waitress was really nice though.
I really enjoyed the food here. I definitely prefer waffles 🧇 over 🥞 and this place makes them just the way I like them. the food breakfast burrito 🌯 is also very tasty however, their sauce that comes with it really needs an upgrade and a bit of spice kick to it. The source is really bland and tastes too much like tomato sauce. Will definitely be going back for something else on the menu.PLEASE FOLLOW ME ON IG @NOW_WE_GRUB & @PRU_MERINO6Help me build a community in which it brings us together through food experiences. Thanks all 🧡
10 a.m. I ordered a black coffee with my breakfast sandwich. The plain bottomless coffee didnt arrive until after my food, which I had nearly finished by then. My group was ready to leave before I finished my first cup. Plain coffee can be poured by any of the 8 server/runners you had, you dont have to leave that to the barista.
One of My Favorite places to go To Near Buena park .. wish we had one in Fresno Ca !
Great, attentive service and hot, fresh breakfast. No complaints at all!
My experience here was excellent. I loved the service here and everything was well set up and the employees were very helpful. The food was delicious, I got the Home Benedict and I enjoyed it and would definitely be getting that again. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to get a good breakfast or even just lunch.
Absolutely wonderful food and exceptional customer service! Love the quality of the food I had. I had the pancakes and omelet and it was delicious 😋. I am so impressed with everything about this place! Dont second guess, just go to this place and you definitely will not be disappointed! ❤
Amazing service. Parking was easy, ordering was quick, food served fast and the servers were exceptionally friendly. From the time we ordered, sat down, ate our food and finished it took about 25 minutes. Did I mention the food was delicious? It was!
Wow this place is good! Everything g is so fresh! Fresh squeezed orange juice! On their special menu they offer special fresh drinks! I love the process of ordering then paying then they sit you down and they bring your food to your table. Food came out in a timely manner. Even with a line the seating process was fast! They have a gluten free and vegan menu items as well. I will be coming back again!
My gf and I came here for breakfast and were met with a bit of a wait. Fortunately, they had a few smaller 2-person tables open up and allowed us and two other couples skip past the line ahead of the larger groups. There was plenty of staff so everyone was attended to quickly, staff was also very friendly. The food was good quality and worth the price according to both my gf and I. If you dont mind waiting or arrive early enough, outdoor seating seems like a great option on cooler overcast mornings.
WILL NOT BE RETURNING!Food is delicious. We we’re returning customers up until today. We arrived at 1pm; one hour before closing, with 5 guests in front of the line only to be turned back. Take out was the only option; apparently they stop providing the sit down service hours before closing time! We waisted 45min of drive time! Such a shame!A curtesy notice on your site will be much appreciated. Don’t make up Policies from one minute to the other.WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
First time there now I cant wait till next weekend. Breakfast steak and eggs were amazingly delicious. Highly recommend this place if your in the area.
VERY OVER-RATED! Staff was very unprofessional, untrained, and very rude. I ordered the chicken and waffles, had a Greek yogurt, & a classic breakfast. I have to say I was very disappointed with my overall experience I would not recommend this place to any friends or family. Go spend your money someplace else because this place is also very overpriced. 0/10
Excellent breakfast menu. Service was also very good. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and comfortable.
Tasty chillequles, waffles we re crispy and the hash browns were perfect with a little ketchup. I will visit and recommend many times for the future.
Food was good. But right after we ordered we were asked to pay for the food. We felt rushed. After we got our food server never came back to see if we needed anything not refill our coffee.
Really nice pleasant environment. High quality gourmet food. Friendly staff always making sure youre taking care of. Affordable prices is a plus!
Love the food and great amount of serving .
Love everything on the menu! Get here early the place gets busy really quick. Its worth waiting in line for a table here!
I had higher hopes for this place. Anestheticly very pretty. But everything I ordered had little to no flavor. The Chile Verde Benedict had no salt and no flavor in the green sauce. The hasbrown were not seasoned. The chai I ordered was just milk with cinnamon. The food came out cold. Both waiters never even came by our table. The only person who checked on us (1 time) was the bus boy. The churro waffles were good. But everything was very disappointing.
You need 2 things to make it a great restaurant... good food & good service. poached food is great! BUT order online service BAD! it happened to us 3x. just lost 2 customers.
We have ben coming to this place for over a year, not sure what going on with the quality of the food, online order pick-up breakfast burrito had no aiola sauce, took a bite, almost gag had a soapy chemical taste, 2nd bite even worst, had to toss it out, dog sniff it walk away. Ordered pancakes, No butter and syrup, what gives, was checked off on the online order, but we got utensil and napkins that it. You guys lost a customer, not coming back anytime soooon...
Top notch eatery! Took my parents and they loved it as well. Establishment was clean and cherry. I got the eggs benidict with pork and green sauce, excellent! The coffee was awesome as well. Side of bacon and sausage was of good quality. Griddle cakes moist. Parents had the massive breakfast burrito. Sausage, potatoes, eggs i think bacon as well!
Great restaurant! Long lines but service is quick and food is delicious!
The staff was super friendly and the dishes very well served. It seemed to be always full and the food was very very good. We loved our dishes and drinks
20 minute wait for brunch on Easter Sunday. When we left at noon there was still a long min line of people outside Avocado toast was delightful. Enjoyed the poached egg and the goat cheese. Would have loved to see some fresh made Kombucha instead Health aide up charged to twice the cost at the grocery store.
Absolutely my most favorite breakfast joint in la. Discovered this gem a few years back and never stopped coming since. This place is definitely on the radar now as there is usually a line to eat. It has temporary outdoor seating available, super fun and enjoyable. Great for a date
This food was unexpectedly delicious. Loved my huevos rancheros. My friend loved her chilaquiles. Highly recommend.
Very cute breakfast/brunch spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Order your food inside and it will be brought to your table -- service is very friendly, attentive and quick. Had the Baked Apple Pancakes which were amazing -- cinnamon butter is divine. Would definitely become a regular spot for me if I wasnt only stopping through for vacation. Loved it!
Love love. All of their menu is excellent 😋my kids n I love it. N we order to go at least 2 to 3x per week. Its just that good.
I enjoyed the breakfast. Their coffee selection was not great. The only thing i did not enjoy was the cinnamon butter. It was like a frozen rock that i could not utilize on my waffles. Other than that, very pleasant experience.
Really cute place, the food was good, something different to try for us, really enjoyed it and cant wait to go back
Chilaquiles Verdes was bomb💣 that salsa was so limey, it was great, avocado was perfectly ripe. Avocado toast was great as well, great breakfast spot!
Came with a friend on a weekday. I guess this place is normally really busy but when we went it wasnt, so win there. You order and pay first, then they bring the food to your table. Food is really good but imo the portions could be a lil bit larger. I had the verde chilaquiles, loved every bite. I would go back but this isnt a place to go if you are really hungry.
Overpriced!! Never states these expensive eggs are actually organic. BTW poached eggs aren’t a new style of breakfast or brunch. It’s been decades. Using this recipe should make it easier to create a “new flavor” to go with something already invited for them, when receiving our obligated tips.
Food was amazing and the staff was friendly. This location is always busy, wish it had more seating.
The food was good and came out very fast. The only problem was that because they have a one hour limit when theres a line (which I completely understand) the servers kept reminding us about the limit. 3 times in the 45 minutes we were sitting there. It made for a very rushed and annoyed, if delicious, brunch.
Terrible. I had the huevos rancheros and Ive been to the bathroom several times already!
Not accommodating at all. Not worth the hype. Limit your time to seating to 1 hour. I understand there is currently covid regulations establishments need to follow however there is a way of doing so, without being rude about it. Items are over priced. GM was rude as well. Definitely not worth the hype for the quality of customer service that is provided.
I wish I would’ve taken a picture of what we ordered. It was hands down the best food I’ve had in a while! Totally recommend it! I ordered Chile verde fries, red chilaquiles, regular waffle, churro waffle, bacon, eggs, hash brown, hot chocolate and an Iced Dulce de Leche latte. PERFECTION!The hubby had the chilaquiles, I prefer the Chile verde instead of the Red that he had.STAFF, super friendly, hard working and very attentive in making sure you feel at home. Can’t wait to go again!!!
Cute little brunch place with outdoor seating and nice staff. Had the chilaquiles rojos and an iced dolce de Leche latte and both were very tasty. Had to dock it a star because the food is a bit pricey for what youre getting and my chilaquiles were kind of cold when served. Nonetheless, if youre looking for a solid brunch place and dont mind the ~$18 per person (dishes averaged around $14 + drink), its a good spot
If you want to get a great poached egg that actually runs like it should you need to eat here! Ive been to so many places high end to low end and it seems almost impossible to get a perfect poached egg. The food is great and tasty and the interior is comfortable and inviting. Great place for breakfast and brunch. I need to try lunch here now!
Great food and vibes all around. The staff is very attentive to everyones needs. One of the better Brunch experiences Ive had lately.
Went on a Sat at 9am. No parking issues. Not busy at all. We placed the order at the counter and took our # to the table. Service was quick and very friendly. My friend and I ordered the Chile Verde Benedicts our other friend ordered the Chilaquiles. We shared the Churro Waffles and had some mamosas. We would definitely go back. We left around half past 10 and it was quite busy at that time.
First time here, went based on average of thousands of reviews. Wasnt disappointed at all...
The quality of the food is very good and worth the price. For my taste it could use a little more seasoning but overall still very good. Hands down the best orange juice and French Toast I’ve had.
Great service and delicious food!
This isnt what the it was supposed to be. Its been hyped up in my ears for quite some time and its not that good. The prices were high and just about everything is sold separately, except their daily deals. The menu doesnt state how many of an item you order youll receive. So I bought bacon for $3 and got 2 pieces. The waffle were $10 for 2 thin waffles. The food was good but definitely not as good as I expected. I wont be going back
First time being here. The food was delicious. Great flavor and taste. Highly recommended it.
Delicious avocado toast with an over medium egg (you may select how your egg is done in the online menu). I got it with the pork verde. It was absolutely fantastic!
Very delightful little place. Enjoyed the Chicken Cobb Salad. We also tried the Chilaquiles. The crumbled cheese added to both of these menu items is delicious. Oh...the chocolate milk is a definite try.I will be coming back to try more soon. They do have outside dining.
Always great service and delicious food. I highly recommend the churros waffle and the chilaquiles!
Cant go wrong
Excellent food and nice service thank you
Got there before the breakfast crowd (around 8:30) and theres no wait. Cashier was friendly. One thing to note here thats different from your usual sit-down spots is that you line up to order your food first, before you grab your number and pick your seat. The food came quick and the House Benedicts I got was superb! Just enough sourness to the bread and the eggs were done very well. Hash browns that came with it is great, too.Overall a great experience. Will recommend! 👍
The place is absolutely adorable. However, their food is rather mediocre. We got the chillequilles and the verde Benedict and they both tasted just ok for the price we paid. (That hollandaise sauce combined with the salsa verde is not very complementary). Their American food I assume is probably better. Will try those dishes next time. Coffee is too overpriced for such a small size. The aesthetic here is definitely its saving grace.
Just had the Chile Verde Eggs Benedict and I’m currently sitting at the restaurant as I write this review. The chile verde was for one way too sour and had none of the complexities that makes chile verde great. The cook was a bit heavy handed with the tomatillos and paid no mind to balancing out the flavor with some herbs. The serranos that should be there were completely missing. That’s just the chile verde. The pork was tough and dry definitely overcooked. The hollandaise sauce was good but paired poorly with tartness of the chile verde. It’s this sort of cheap attempt at Mexicanizing food that is such a missed opportunity. Overall I would not recommend at least until they revamp their fusion offerings for much more sensible offerings.
Good breakfast one of the best I ever tasted In Downey service is very good
Good food albeit a bit priceyNice setting
Great experience, amazing service the food is delicious...Waffles are so yummy!!!!! We loved it!!!
I love the breakfast and service guy is really helpful 😊
The BEST American breakfast!! You will have to wait, however it is well worth it. When my wife and I go we make it family style and share everything. Try the PBJ French Toast it’s a work of art and super delicious!!! House Eggs Benedict OMG, Griddle Pancakes it’s just pancakes but have an amazing flavor, just ask for two cups of syrup. You will not be disappointed. 😋😋😋😋Try the chile verde fries.
