Got a flat and was looking for a place to patch it up! Perfect timing took me in ASAP and fixed it. However, they did tell me that the rest of the tires would need to be replaced very soon, as there were stress cracks in between the tread (pictured below). They gave me a quote for 3 different tires within my price range and, once I made my decision, they were able to schedule me for an appointment the very next day. When I dropped my vehicle off in the morning, they even offered to drive me to work! I love my new tires now!!Perfect Timing is definitely not fancy or luxurious. But it is filled with caring employees who do good work for affordable prices! Definitely will be my go-to auto shop!

They looked at our vehicle shortly before they were scheduled to close at 3:00 on a Saturday. Turns out we needed new brakes. Even though it was now after 3:00, they drove to two stores (one in Superior) to get parts for our vehicle and install them. We had our 8mo old baby and dog with us, and they were very friendly and accommodating for us. They stayed open an extra couple of hours to make sure we could drive away that day. This business wants to help people get back on the road and my family and I are appreciative of them.

I just finished having the most unprofessional and unpleasant experience dealing with any business in my entire life. They are incredibly terrible with communication and you can expect them to not hold their word if they tell you theyll call you back or update you. They asked me to confirm the first service at a certain price and when it came down to it, I was lied to about the price and then its all downhill from there. They did services that I didnt ask for, didnt get a quote for, nor asked to confirm service for. And every single service that I specifically asked them to do on multiple occasions were not done. So you can also expect them to not do what you ask them to, put in random parts that you didnt ask for and then expect you to pay and not be surprised when its sprung on you. Because of Perfect timings miscommunication and unprofessionalism, they effectively totalled my car through repair costs that I didnt ask for nor confirm. On top of all of this, during a pandemic, not a single employee wears a mask, especially while dealing with a customer when theres even a sign on the office door that says to wear a mask. So on top of this shop being extremely dishonest and unprofessional, they are a walking compliance violation with the Minnesota Department of Labor and OSHA and putting lives at risk because of their own ignorance. This isnt the place to go. Save yourself the time, money, and stress and go elsewhere. They are a group of scam artists that will lie straight to your face.

I needed to get my oil changed and I only had a lunch break to do so. They accommodated m and were flexible to my schedule. I dropped my car off and finished work and was able to pick my car up at the end of the day. Kind and professional people. Would definitely recommend going here!!

My daughter and a group of her friends were on their way from the metro area to BWCA for a 5 day adventure. She called me from Cloquet to tell me the check engine light came on. The staff at the auto parts store where they were identified the problem, but were unable to fix it that day. My daughter called Perfect Timing Auto Repair and they agreed to work her in before closing for the day (on a Saturday!) The lower ball joint broke on our truck right on the highway, we were able to be towed almost immediately by get hooked towing. We were able to get right in at perfect timing auto repair on a Saturday (even tho they were pretty busy) they were very knowledgeable and understanding.And we felt very welcomed coming here. they care more about safety than the extra dollar! Horrible experience! I just bought a car that I wanted to get a full inspection done on. The car was over heating, and I knew it needed a timing belt and water pump. I stopped at this place because it was close to home and didn’t want to drive the car to far. I stopped there at around noon and first spoke to a very nice lady who was willing to help me out with giving me a quote, but then she got a call from the guy who owns the place, he asked if I could wait till 2:30 to talk to him. So I left came back at 2:30 like he asked only to sit around and wait while he helped several other people that were coming and going, he was answering and making calls kept telling me “ I’ll be right with you”. I don’t think he believed me when I told him that I checked myself and seen that the timing belt was shot, so I asked him if he want to take a look at it himself, he said “yes” so I went home and drove the car back there even though I was leery of doing so because of it over heating. Then I sat around some more, still not getting a quote, finally I had enough and left. 4 hours I waited to get a simple quote on my car, but never did! What a big waist of my time!!

Had my car up on a lift and offered to have it done and stay open later so I could grab it. I worked until 11pm and told them to work on it the next day. Picked it up 3 hours after they opened. This place does fantastic work. The owner was able to get my Jeep in and the tech was able to get the radiator leak diagnosed within a few minutes before closing on Friday. They got the parts and had me back on the road by Early Saturday afternoon. The price they had initially quoted was extremely fair for the work being done, and thats right about what I ended up paying. It is rare to find a place that delivers fast, affordable work. For this reason, and their work to get me back in my car on a Saturday, shows me that the owner truly cares about his customers.For anybody wondering about this place, the shop may be small, but the service is wonderful.

1200 dollars for a alternator/battery replacement, I called around afterwards and it shouldnt have been more than 700. After it was all said and done they told me I had to go to a dealership to clear the codes, so I did, and the dealership would have done it for 600. Long story short, they seem nice, but call around for pricing first.

This company is awesome, great service. They wont lie about what you have wrong with your vehicle, they are very straightforward and want the beat experience for the customer. My whole family will be going here for ANY problems with their vehicle. A company you can count on to get the job done effectively and efficiently.

Great customer service. My alternator went out when I was up in Lutsen and they were kind enough to order the part ahead of time so my car was ready to be worked on right away when I arrived with my car on a Saturday. They even stayed a half hour late to finish the repair! Very reasonable pricing and wonderful, hardworking people. If I lived in Duluth I would definitely bring my car there again!

Pulled in at 5:30 on a Saturday because the garage door was open. My alternator was shot and we would have been stranded until Monday. But he stayed until 8 to fix it for us. Charged a fair price also. Great man and a good businessman.

My husband and I brought our 2000 Ford expedition in to figure out why the shocks were bad, and the owner and communication was great...at first. A week and a half or so later his team let my husband take our truck home without communication to us that the owner was needing to still fix the shocks. Well they didnt ground a wire so we had to bring it back. normally I wouldnt be upset with this but my husband works across town, and this is our only vehicle. We brought the truck back and he fixed it but one major issue I now have? I DONT HAVE A HORN!!! I came in WITH a horn!!! I brought this up to them and they wouldnt give a solution, just said it could just be a fuse okay great, hubs and I know NOTHING about cars though!!! My husband amd I both agree that were taking our business elsewhere to where people are able to communicate even if bust.I admit when I get stressed I get snippy, however on top of having autism and my husband being a marine, neither of us fully felt satisfied as this is our only vehicle and we drive his two kids in it regularly. Not having a horn to us is a deal breaker as is the lack of communication.

Needed a tire swapped out and they did an awesome job and were very courteous and friendly. Had it done in a quick amount of time. My car needs a lot fixed which Im aware of yet it was a no pressure atmosphere they fixed what I asked and didnt try to upsell. I will definitely recommend this place to others.

They sold us a set of used tires in great shape for $250, but turns out they were completely shot. I drove to the cities and could barely stay on the road or even hear the radio as they were so loud. They also broke many of the lug nut studs putting on the tires. I had to replace the tires and studs I called the owner and he said they were under warranty to stop in and well take care of it. I stopped in but he wasnt around and was told he was the only one who handle the warranty refund. he was supposed to call us back but never did. Ill never go to this place again and would not recommend it.

I work out of my truck and was out of town when my truck broke down and I had to have it towed. I had no referrals for a good auto shop and called several places and everyone was booked for 2-3 days. I called perfect timing and They said they could get me in same day. Fearing the worst, I had it towed to perfect timing and they immediately began working on it. The harmonic balancer bolt broke off leaving part of the bolt inside the crank. They were able to get it out w out causing further damage and saving me big time $$$. When the delivery for the new parts was not going to arrive for 2-3 days, Donelle personally drove over an hour away to pick up the parts needed to get me on the road quickly. What could’ve been 4-5 days out of work turned into only two and the price they got me out the door w VERY reasonable. All in all GREAT job guys! I would highly recommend perfect timing to anyone in need of any type of auto repairs.

Donnell is very courteous and I was pleased with service I bought two used tires from here one was faulty and wasnt checked by employee at the time .. but I was given a refund for the tire and was pleased with the service ..... Changing review the other tire I purchased is now flat and is showing wire I dont drive that often for a used tire to only last 5 months . Very displeased with my purchase and dont want to go back and get another used tire and repeat the process

My buddy had his transmission replaced and he had issues afterwards. Kept leaving puddles of aft on the ground and had a bad clunking. He brought it back and they charged him a $50 inspection fee. They replaced a seal and said it should fix it. Clunking was still there, still left puddles. He brought it somewhere else and they discovered the clunking was simply loose sway bar endlinks (that Perfect Timing couldnt diagnose), there was a screw missing out of the trans pan, the new seal they installed was still leaking due to improper install, and they overfilled the transmission by 6 quarts! I would advise anyone to stay far away from this shop!

Traveling home from a camping trip on the north shore pulling a 5th wheel camper, and our Truck broke down late in the afternoon. Called around to see if we could get it fixed and NO ONE could get to us until the next day... Called Perfect Time Auto Repair and they moved a few things around to get us in right away. Had our truck fixed and up and running again in about 1 hr!!! The guys were VERY friendly and understanding with our deliema, and did an excellent job fixing the truck. We will never hesitate to return with any problems we have in the future when were on our yearly camping trip.

1500 miles from home, in the latest winter most can remember, my water pump is going out. These guys had my water pump changed, truck fixed, in a couple of hours. Great price as well. I hate dealing with mechanic shops, but this was the exception. Id absolutely recommend them to anyone who asked me!A few months and several thousand miles later, my AC went out - I didnt expect it to be much - these guys took their time assessing the problem & found that my balancer was cracked on 3 sides and had pulled, via the belt, my pulleys out of alignment & it ate my AC in the process. I figured Id have them give my truck a 100k tune up also. My gas mileage is back to awesome and my truck runs as well as I can remember. Another excellent job, done in record time, and for a decent price - and all this was completed while the shop was busy! Its a hell of a drive but Ill recommend this shop to anyone I know in the Duluth area!

If anyone needs to replace one tire this is where to go in the Twin Ports. Tires are clean and in top form. Excellent prices, highly recommended.

This is a unprofessional mechanic shop they dont have all the tools to get the job done..they dont put parts back on they left it on back seat the power windows dont work mY car wont go past 30 miles per hour the key fob dont work dont know they names but I wouldnt recommended nobody to them they charged me 800 for a battery and throttle part theyre quick to quote but slow to fix I give them no stars they r horrible receipt doesnt even show names of mechanic

When my sister, mom and I were on our way to grand marais, and my car started smoking on 35, we had to get off the highway and just made it to perfect timing. Darnell and his mechanic took a look underneath the car where the muffler was broken and blowing exhaust directly up into my truck, causing the plastic in the trunk to melt off! They saw exactly what needed to be fixed right away and were going to try and fix it the same day but we figured we would rent a car for the weekend so they wouldnt have to rush (and so we could drive a new car for vacation..). As soon as Darnelll looked at the muffler, realized it also had a hole in it, he called me and gave me an estimate and said it would be done by the time we came back through Duluth...and it was! They were so easy to work with, very reasonably priced and honest people.I wish this shop was in Minneapolis so I could have them be my regular mechanics! Thank you!
