They have immense knowledge of the trails in the area and even take their patrons on fun group rides every Thursday. Easily the best shop in town.

Soon as you walk in it feels like you have been friends with the mechanics for ever. It has that small time bike shop feel and an incredibly knowledgeable staff. They are the type of folks you stop by the shop to just say hello.

There I was, in a tight spot. I’d been planning a San Juan hut trip with my best friend for two years. I’d consulted all the experts, and shipped my bike ahead of time. It never came, and as of this writing UPS still can’t tell me exactly where it is. But Zack at Velorution saved my trip… with only a couple of days notice, he put together a bike for me to rent. That bike turned out to be utterly solid, and was one of the few bikes in our group of 7 that didn’t have any mechanical problems during the trip! I really cannot fully express my gratitude for making that trip possible. I’ve recommended Velorution to all my Durango friends! Thanks so much!

Best team ever! I came in without knowing a single thing about bikes, and a staff member named Emile helped me right away and was very patient, detailed, and kind. I never felt like I was being talked down to, and I always felt like my questions were being heard. All of the other bikes shops in town gave me horrible feelings.I am so happy with the work Emile did for my bike- they even got everything done within a few hours that same day. This review is long overdue. Velorution truly is the friendliest bike shop in Durango. Zach and his crew have repeatedly gone out of their way to help me and all my visiting friends with rentals, bike repairs, and upgrades. They are also one of the few shops in Durango to actually know a thing or two about disc golf and the discs they sell.

My favorite bike shop! I got into mountain biking after moving to Durango 4 years ago, and Velorution has helped me in every step of my biking journey. From countless upgrades to my hard tail, helping me kit out my bike for bikepacking, to now full suspension tunes on my full squish, these guys can do it all. Fun, friendly, and knowledgeable staff that’ll keep you hanging around long past your bike needs.

My first experience with Velorution has been very positive. Weve had a funky drive train replacement which involved some post-installation tuning and ultimately a warranty replacement of new derailleur. They were prompt, professional, and generous as we have navigated this funk together. Zach stands by his work, word, and the products he recommends through his shop. I would highly recommend this shop and the guys within.

Moving to Durango last year wasnt really sure how people were gonna treat a non local. The owner Zack has made me feel at home sense I walked through the doors. After a little wait to get proper parts for suspension from Santa Cruz the guys at the shop were extremely PRO in getting my ride put back together quickly. Shop Tech Emille made my Summer!!! Other than issues parking, this shop is amazing. Their service is exemplary, they went far beyond the call of duty and adjusted my bike and tightened every screw for just a simple tube change service. Super nice folks here who know their stuff and treat you right. Thank you!

The upside, they had the part I needed, used for 5 dollars- great. The downside? I was charged 10 dollars because if you put a bike in the stand and dont charge money youre losing money. you invited me in and said lets put it in the stand and see what part you need, this was the fourth shop that had my bike in the stand to see what sort of part they might have for me (I have bough numerous other parts for this bike) and this is the first shop to charge me labor for it. I even used to work at a shop and we sold a ton of used parts without charging labor... I would gladly have inserted the two bolts myself... which I will still be doing to add thread lock since its a brake adapter. Glad you had the adapter I needed in stock but I wasnt intending to pay full price for a used part quoted at 1/3 that....
