Glazed and gone to heaven. These remind me of getting donuts when I was a little girl with my grandpa. Seriously soooooo good. The old fashioned was perfectly crisp on the outside and the maple bar was spongy and fluffy all at once. Make the trip to this little place! The gentlemen at the counter was also so wonderfully kind. If you’re craving donuts in the triangle area, this is THE place! Wish I could snatch them up and bring them back to Wilmington with me!

I am not joking when I say that taking a bite out of one of their donuts is like taking a bite of heaven. The donuts are light, fluffy, and perfectly iced. They’re also ridiculously cheap at $0.99 per glazed donut. The next time I’m in the area I will definitely pop in!

The donut shop Ive been looking for! Ive tried almost all the triangle spots and Carolina Glazed takes the cake (and old fashioned, and raised)! Go here if you like traditional well priced donuts. Im not a fan of the other places with their $4 specialty donuts. This place makes fantastic donuts. I have found my donut shop. End of story.

Ive eaten more than my fair share of donuts and Carolina glazed are among the better half Ive eaten. They arent spectacular, but they are affordable and delicious. Ill definitely be returning. They have a good selection, though many of their donuts are mostly standard forms and flavors. Nothing groundbreaking here, but they offer a good donut for a good price.

Exceptional donuts, and I love that they are a small business! You must try the cream cheese frosting in a filled donut--absolutely delicious! I love not only the variety of donut options but also the variety of filling options. It allows for a lot of customization based on your preferences. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Get there early for the best selection though. This place is already becoming a favorite with us.

Freshly filled upon order makes for the perfect boston cream donut! 34 weeks pregnant and drove 20 minutes with two toddlers for these — worth it.

If you choose filled, you get to pick the flavor and they fill it on demand. Their donuts are all fried fresh that day and are a touch larger than the various donut chains in the area.Service is quick and friendly, and they often will toss in a few donut holes on top for free. Good value for what you get, too. This is the place to go for a dozen (or two) for your office, or take them to a party and be a hero.

Discovered this place this weekend. Been looking for a good donut shop so we dont have to settle for Dunkin or grocery store pre packaged or use a shared bakery area where you pull out your own.We were having friends over and got a good variety to share. These donuts are incredible, fresh, good size and just delicious! Especially the apple fritter, big and so good, it left me wanting more, could have eaten another if not more. Yum!We have found our donut shop and looking forward to the next trip. Highly recommended!!

These are simply the BEST donuts you can get! Carolina Glazed Donuts blow all the other large chain corporations out of the water. There is no comparing these incredibly fresh, fluffy, delicious donuts and other small baked treats to the big name chains- Others don’t stand a chance against them.They offer a variety of different flavors, notably their maple (personal favorite), strawberry and of course classics. If you want a filled donut they are filled to order! The barvarian cream is to die for, and even though I’m not a big fan of jelly filled everyone i know say theirs are fantastic.The staff is always so friendly and kind, striking up a conversation with you when you walk in. I’m pretty sure they recognize us now and our order- which i’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing that we are there often enough for them to remember LOL. can never have enough of these donuts.Weekends are certainly their busiest days, so if you want these amazing donuts- GO EARLY! They usually do run out of the cult favorites before noon. The earlier you go, the better, as well as them being the freshest!!Do note there is a minimum $5 purchase to pay with card, but it’s not hard to reach this since you’ll want to buy them all.

I ate a glazed and it was decent. Not bad nothing really to talk about either.The fritter....delicious. I ate a piece. And keep going back for more (try it with ice cream! ). It is really good. This is something the other reviews got right! If you go....you must try!

One of the best places to get made from scratch donuts in the area, hands down. They just make donuts (yeast and cake varieties) and they do it really well.Everything is made and fried on-site (you can smell it in the air as you walk into the place), and plenty of both variety and availability. Im a big fan of the apple fritter (essentially a deep fried apple pie donut) as well as their yeast donuts.Highly recommended.

This was a real unexpected treat. I was feeling some cabin fever from being stuck inside with the CoVid lock down, so I jumped in the car on a Sunday morning and started off on an unknown drive. I ended up far from home and in need of some sweat sustenance. I saw Carolina Glazed Donuts and pulled in.I received instant service. The young man behind the counter knew all the different items in the display case. I got a dozen very delicious donuts, some filled, some plain. They were all priced well. Overall, it was a very nice experience. Id go back and buy their products anytime.

The donuts here are fresh and delicious. Go before 10am though because they run out. Lots of choices and really sweet, tasty options. The prices are good so no reason not to pick up a dozen on your way to work in RTP.

This place is a gem. I tried glazed twisted donut, cinnamon twisted donut, powdered donut, chocolate donut, blueberry munchkins, and red velvet munchkins. I love blueberries in general and know red velvet is just red food coloring in some batter. Still, out of all these, red velvet and glazed donut were the best. Twisted ones weren’t as sweet as glazed donut. Glazed donut was sweet and delicious. Red velvet was crunch but not as sweet as blueberry. Blueberry ones had a bit fake blueberry tastes (prefer dunkin donut’s blueberry donuts but wait, they have more fresh donuts than dunkin or other donut franchises). All were pretty good, will definitely come back and try other flavors.

Awesome! Came in the day before my sons birthday party to order donuts locally for the party. They were fantastic! Customer service was great! We ordered a couple dozen donuts to pick up the next day and they were perfect and done on time. I definitely recommend Carolina Glazed Donuts especially if you need to feed a party at short notice!

Excellent donut selection with ample glaze coverage and filling volume! Each donut is filled to order with your choice of: fruit, chocolate, or créme (I highly recommend the Bavarian)! Without a doubt, I will be back again for more! Bring a bit of cash though: no cards are accepted for transactions less than $5.

These are by far the best glazed yeast doughnuts in the Triangle. They are worth the drive. My personal favorites: the apple fritter (big as my hand), the maple eclair with white cream, and the blueberry cake doughnut.The waitstaff is always pleasant, too. They do a great job.Note that for card transactions, they do require a minimum $5 purchase, which is easy to do by ordering 6 doughnuts (or so, depending which type you prefer).

They have really good donuts. However, if you dont get in here by 9:00 a.m. you might as well forget about it. They only make one batch of donuts for the entire day and it sells out pretty quick. After about 9:00 a.m. ish you have slim pickings. They wont make any more until tomorrow. If you check out the Duck donut place theyll make them as you order them for about the same price.

Best donuts in the Triangle, not as crowded as the other places, and a good price. Lets start with the best; they make the best Apple fritters I have ever had. Properly crispy on the outside while still being soft and moist on the inside. Their other donuts are all excellent as well. They allow you to choose the filling for any filled donuts, so you get exactly what you want. Bottom line, if you want good donuts at a fair price this is the place for you.

Friendly staff and delicious dounuts

I had a rare, insatiable taste for doughnuts earlier this week, and decided to try Carolina Glazed Donuts, as I drive past the shop often. This will now be one of my go-to spots for a sweet-tooth fix. The doughnuts were delicious, fresh, and generously-sized. The hard-working gentleman who assisted was kind and patient, as this was my first visit. One thing that really surprised me was how affordable the doughnuts were. I picked up two doughnuts and an apple fritter for less than $4! Speaking of the apple fritter; amazing! I was able to eat the fritter over the course of 3 days, and it still tasted great (the other doughnuts, as expected, lose their freshness after the first day). This place is anything but fancy, and when youre in the mood for something a little more gourmet, there are other doughnuts shops in the area that are better suited. All in all, I highly recommend this place and plan to go back.

Hands down, the apple fritter is the best Ive had in a long long time. Cinnamon rolls and custard filled were also delicious. Well definitely be back. Great prices too!

These are WAY too delicious. Just dont ever start going there - thats your only hope. Once you try them youll be like the rest of us, making excuses to be over that way around breakfast time and consistently volunteering to bring the donuts lest some joker tries to pass off those commonplace DD or KKs on you. I consider myself a donut connoisseur as they are my favorite sweet thing. This place is for real!!!! The pine cones are to die for. All of the filled donuts are awesome. I like white cream the best and I love that you can fill just plain glazed ones. And the cake donuts!!!!! I love cake donuts also and the chocolate and vanilla ones are the bomb! I seriously never write reviews but this place deserves it.

Its been awhile since I visited here. I ordered a dozen of the glazed red velvet donut holes. Each one was a nice mouthful, tasted fresh and sweetened perfectly.

Great little donut shop. I ordered 4 dozen and it came in under $50. They also threw in some free donut holes. Very cool place, will visit again.
