I was looking for good paint for my daughter’s room she is 3 years old. I needed something long lasting and easy to wipe when she decides to make her art work on the walls. I don’t know much about paint and I didn’t know what to get but the staff was amazing at answering all my questions and recommended ULTRA SPEC SCUFF-X it comes in any color you want. I picked OC-65 Chantilly Lace is in order to use it everywhere especially after I heard it retains its color after cleaning! The paint we have now peels when I just wipe it but this SCUFF-X is great it was easy for me to paint by myself. I recommend this store it was pricey, but worth every penny! If you open an account in their computer system you get a discount. I recommend it for those that have bad memory, because it saves all your purchases and it comes in handy when you need more paint.

It was really refreshing to go into a store and come out confident and knowledgeable about my purchase. I was completely clueless about what paint to use where and why and what type of brushes I needed. They explained it so I would understand and remember and were super helpful without being pushy and I appreciate that immensely. It really made a difference going to a specialized paint store like NC paints over a more mainstream hardware store for the quality and overall service.

Scott expertly explained the differences between stains to two novices who clearly needed guidance, without being pushy or intrusive. His experience and expertise came through naturally and he was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and kind.

I ordered $600 worth of paint and was told the latest it would be ready was the following day at noon but most likely around 9am. They said theyd call when its ready. The next day after no call from them I called to check at 3pm and it wasnt ready. Around 3:30pm I get a voicemail saying theyre mixing the paint now and it will be ready to pickup asap. I couldnt get to the store before it closed so I went the next morning at 7:30am when they open. Guess what, its still not ready. So I sit in the store for an hour while they experiment with the colors and mix it. There is no excuse for not keeping customers updated or at least apologizing for not upholding their end of the deal. Extremely unsatisfactory.

OUTSTANDING! Its what you would expect from a traditional family paint store, knowledgeable, friendly staff that listens to your objectives and then makes honest, well-thought-out recommendations. I was amazed to find out how much they know about color. I guess it explains why their custom stain color matching is so much better than I have seen elsewhere.

Reckless Paints and Brian Reckless are shining examples of what customer service should look like. The attitude of the employees coupled with their product knowledge make this, in my opinion, the best paint store in the area. As long as Brian is in business he will always get my business.

I first went here to buy some metallic glazes. I was so impressed with the willingness to help me and find just the right product that I told my husband I wanted to buy all of our paint here for our new house! This store represents customer service at its finest!! What a pleasure to do business with!

It has been years since I painted, so I was delighted to find out that Reckless Paints still knew the exactly what color I used. They offered of have the custom color mixed and ready by the time I could drive to the store. They carried out to the car for me and when I got home I found it was a perfect match.

We waited for over an hour for a color match. They never could match the color. We left with no paint. Very frustrating.

So nice to be able to walk in locally owned paint store and receive good quality service from someone who actually knows what they are talking about. Skip big box stores and head to Reckless!
