Found some great gems here. The store is organized well and the staff was helpful and friendly to me when I asked for assistance. I think the prices are incredible. They have sales all of the time. I got five perfect condition shirts for $5. Don’t really know how you can go cheaper than that.
Went there yesterday and was excited to visit for the first time. Store was nicely organized, but had too much stuff cluttered and was hard to see everything. What I noticed immediately was the pricing, it was WAY too high for what was in there. What you would find at any other thrift store was priced 4-5 times higher at this place. Saw a few Dollar Tree items priced at $3 and $4! I would not classify this store as a thrift store, more like an overpriced junk store??? I was the only one in there and the woman working behind the counter did not say one word to me as I walked up and down the aisles passed her. Not a Welcoming feeling at all when you walk by the employee at least 5 times! If that was the owner better change your ways and if it was an employee, better get new ones that actually care about the patrons.
This is now one of my favorite thrift stores and I will for sure be coming back again! The staff was all very friendly when I entered the store and was able to answer all my questions. I came at a great time too considering the entire store is 50% off at the end of every month so I walked out of there with some great deals! For sure will be recommending the store to my family and friends!
I love thrift stores and was happy to donate my items to a non profit that gives back to their local community. With that said, I will never come back here or recommend this thrift store. The store associate did not acknowledge us at all except for the very annoyed sounding “just set it over there” to my son that was holding a bag of donated goods. Both of my kids had to use the restroom and I’m wondering if someone was actually in there or if she just said that over the course of our time in the store to keep us from using it as we were never able to get in. The items themselves were not appropriately priced at all, one pair of USED boys underwear was $12 and a pair of off-brand shorts with a big snag/hole were $6.
This review is from the perspective of a thrift shopper and reseller. Everything is over priced, even if you are just shopping for yourself. From a obviously used t shirt for $8 to $75 Kate Spade glasses - used and no case (you can buy new for less) and very expired beauty products. I would estimate 80% of the clothing has wash wear bad enough it’s fit for the trash. If something has a retail tag on it, they price it at half of the retail price. Doesn’t matter if it’s out of style or 20 years old. Not a designer item in sight on the floor, they must sell elsewhere. Didn’t greet us or speak to us the entire time we were there. I really wanted to like this place but we won’t be back. Made me appreciate their larger competitors though. UPDATE TO THEIR REPLY: I also shop for myself and family. We don’t want damaged clothing even if it’s free. It’s not usable. We came on sale day and still went home with nothing. Kate Spade glasses brand new are $30-50 all day at discount retailers. Small fabric remnants for $12 cost more than from a retail fabric store. The store is grossly over priced and it’s an unwelcoming environment to boot.
This is one of my new favorite thrift stores to go to. The prices are great for all of the name brands that they have and the staff were friendly and answered any questions I had.
This thrift store is now my top favorite! I visited a few days ago and left with a brand new lululemon shirt for only $6 and a very nice polo shirt for $1, the staff was very helpful and the owner was so welcoming. Definitely coming back!
Went one time, will not return. Prices seemed Way way way overinflated and I did not care for the attitude of some of the volunteers. I can understand staying in this day of Covid how hard it is to get people to work, especially work no pay. But unfortunately it was not a pleasant experience, and I am sorry to have to say that
Reasonably priced, gently used clothing and second hand goods. Books, toys, and dinning room knick-knacks. Always worth a quick stop and search.
Preferred donating here as opposed to Goodwill until yesterday when a lady was taking my stuff and asked Arent you man of enough to bag it? Not kind of communication you tell someone who is donating. Grow up and learn your manners! I did have one trash bag of items as well. Rest could not be bagged. Electronics Toys Etc.
There are better area places in the area to waste your time at, or should I say listen to the employees whisper to each other about a customer who just donated and his attitude. Very rude considering they reseller their items for profit.
After being frustrated at the chain thrift shops with high prices, I punched thrift stores in google maps and am so glad it let me to Treasures Galore! I did happen to wander in on a everything half off day, so my bargains were extra bargainy- but even if I hadnt, everything was fairly priced, and a lot of the items I found were ones that wouldnt have sat on the over-picked racks of the chains for more than 5 minutes... thats whats great about spots like this. Theyre unknown and out of the way, but the selection is still fantastic. I found a plus sized pinup swimsuit with built-in underwire for $6. Even on sale, that would be $50+ new. A Vera Bradley large crossbody for 12 bones! Its small, but fun to treasure hunt in. Go there now.
The staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful. I love going here the last 7 days of the month. Every item unless otherwise noted is 50%off in the whole store. They have a large variety of things. The shop looks small but they have so much and its clean. My 1st time I spent 65.00 but it would have been 130 at full price. (Loved it),2nd time, 55.00 (I would have spent 110.00- bang- DEAL.LOL)I was followed by I think the owners mom??? There was a man and women working the counter and a cute doggy running around. I get it, I am a Native woman, if I go into any store I am usually followed just because of the color of my skin and my beaded jewelry. Thier were only white ppl in there. She didnt follow them.Im sad that I am use to it. Thats OK tho, I still got my stuff and I didnt steal anything. I would never do that. It always stings a little but it happens to me all the time, truly because of what I look like.I am sure the reply will try justify this. Its OK. No worries. i dont steal and Im a happy, positive gramma, who loves a good deal. I have found it.Yikes, I have read reviews... I think the prices are great and the quality is awesome. The 3rd time, I got a sterling silver with blue stone inlay bracelet and earring set for 17.00 - its AMAZING. They didnt follow me and I even took a card to maybe volunteer. I spent 60.00 ( would have been 120.00. I got banana republic jeans, levi white jeans 👖(no stains and they are perfect) and J brand black pair of jeans. 2 shirts for my grandson -Adidas Twins shirt and a bright white sleeveless summer shirt - one for 3 and the other for 2. Dress for my granddaughter for 2. Shirts for my husband and Nike sweatshirt for my son- practically brand new!I used to do youth work and work with educators of color and Native Americans at the U of M and Dept. Of Education. The money goes to a place that is important to me.So. I am going to to continue to explore this place once a month after my doctors visits. I dont know about the bigger places sometimes its not clean and the clothes are hit and miss on quality. They mark up prices on the things they think are quality as well. Those rarely go on sale. Its a fun place to find a treasure & its 6 minutes from my doctors office.I Love it. -Bringing the grandkids:My grandkids are 2.5 and 5, I dunno about taking them to this place. Its so small. Lots of things that may fall ( the could get hurt) or they could unintentionally break something. Its probably wise to leave the kiddos at home for this place. I would worry about them, Im sure theyve had a few kid tornadoes rolling thru thier small space. It would be too tempting for my grands to touch everything. Lots of cool stuff.Lol- i was adding to my review and I already got a reply on my 1st post. I wanted to add more after I seen some of the negative reviews. The only hurtful part was the lady who followed me around thinking that I might steal something. Yikes- lol👀👀😐.Otherwise its got the goods!( sorry in advance about typos and grammatical errors. Its a long review, on a non working or school for me day...no time for that, just wanted to add more information).-J.M.J
I love this store! I thrift shop a lot and my favorite things to look for are kids clothes, furniture, dishes, and vintage items. Unlike the big thrift stores this one is filled with miscellaneous vintage items which is like a tiny treasure hunt every time (checkout the glass case at the front). I sell handmade photography backdrops and often use vintage items for props and they have great deals and new inventory. There kids clothes section might not look big but there is always new inventory and organized well. I can’t stand stores that price per clothing item and here it’s $2 each unless otherwise marked. Not a good option for regular furniture inventory, highly suggest Hidden Treasures in Saint Anthony for furniture. Otherwise a perfect little thrift store! Also staff are very friendly and have never been mean to my two little kids! Not sure where those negative reviews are coming from?!
The name is misleading, this is way better than a garage sale. Its a nice thrift store. Yes, the prices may be high, but a lot of the clothes are from good brands like Talbots, Ann Taylor or Chicos. Hard goods can be hit or miss on price. Its a good store.
I really enjoyed myself sihopping & Ill be back soon to shop!!! I paid for A (Blank book with a tiger an it was two of them. An I just got the bigggest one & it was two of them together) So Ive been looking for my Receipt. Its A (Tiger) An its just a *Medium Book that goes & went inside the~📓, Together) Ill be calling the Store later!!! Vanetha, Marshall/@.
My girlfriend and I decided to give it a try after seeing signs up for it. We were pleasantly surprised. We happened to go when they were having a 50% off everything sale. Got some good stuff we needed for cheap. And the staff was all nice. I saw on their door that they are non-profit benefiting the local school district so thats totally awesome too! I know where I will be taking any donations we may have when moving next spring.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised with this store. I’ve hit just about every thrift store in the metro area and this one still keeps me wanting come down to Eagan. There is actually a decent selection of clothes, random household items. However, I would only come on the sale days or half off days, because much of the store would otherwise be a little too expensive for thrift. The owner has always been nothing but kind, even offered me some deals that weren’t on the sales floor. I will gladly bring donations here instead of goodwill and will be back!
This place is packed full with a lot of good items, name brand clothes and shoes. However I am a thrifter and Ive never seen such high prices. Few items were the same price in stores.
Not well organized not very friendly somewhat over priced.
Staff working today was extremely unfriendly. Youre welcome for patronizing your business. No wonder there was nobody there. Prices are way to high also.
This is my favorite thrift store. There are ever changing sales each week and the prices are great. See something you like and you better snatch it up before someone else does. The only thing you cant find here is large furniture. The staff is friendly and helpful. My kids love this store too. You can find clothes starting at 10 cents some days. I dont know anywhere else you can find bargains like that!
Mediocre hard goods at high prices.I dont thrift clothing because I have no clue what I should be looking for. However, I do collect vintage hard goods and this place has really high prices compared to other thrift stores in town. I will not be returning.
This is absolutely hands down the best thrift store in Minnesota! I moved from Apple Valley to West St Paul and still only go there! Mike is the most helpful and caring individual and really makes it a great shopping experience. The selection is always different and amazing. The daily deals are unbelievable! Its worth the time to stop in and check it out!
Great place! Love the people and there is so much stuff to look at wanted to stay all day but they were closing for the day.
I love this thrift store and I will definitely be coming back! The prices are great, the items and clothing are quality, and everything is well organized.
Lots of different items including clothing, dishes, jewelry, frames, toys, kitchen items, movies and some video games. Some of the items are priced a little high but the place is clean and organized.
I love shopping at the garage. Usually alwzys find something special and very nice people run the store.
Love this place! As an avid thrifter, I appreciate that this store is well organized with a nice selection, great prices and super friendly staff that treats you like family. I go here regularly with my little kiddos and we have so much fun finding new treasures from their ever changing inventory.
I love the selection, but the prices were a little steep in my opinion. I know prices at thrift stores are rising, but it seems like items would move quicker if they were a slightly cheaper.Expect to pay $6+ per clothing item. Household and miscellaneous items also seemed to be slightly more than I would normally pay while thrifting. My advice to the store owner/manager: Keep prices lower to free up shelves and allow for new items to move through quicker. It kills me to see how much is piled in here and how cramped some of the racks feel.My advice to shoppers: Come see for yourself! My opinion is honest, but does not speak for everyone. You may find a few treasures here (I did)!Overall great staff, fun concept, but needs some tweaks before I’d consider visiting here more.
Well-organized, clean, friendly staff and benefits local schools!
I can always find something I like. Great selection and it’s always changing. I love visiting when they have 50% off sales which they do often. I will be back!
What a fun place to treasure hunt! All kinds of items to be found here, and it’s organized in such a way that you can find what you’re looking for.Kind, helpful staff will help answer questions and guide you toward items you’re seeking.
Way to expensive.
This was once a fun little thrift store to visit when in the area. Haven’t visited in a while but today, I stopped in. YIKES!!! Their prices have gone through the roof!$6.00 for a generic popcorn bowl, $4.00 for a generic food storage container, $20.00 for a four-piece shot glass set, fleece wear (Yes, Columbia but it’s still used and donated) for $25.00, generic sweatshirt $8.00, PJs for $12.00... I could go on but I think you get the idea. Stay away. I certainly won’t be back.
This store is one of my favorite thrift stores in the area. Its my go to for work clothes because they have nice brands and amazing prices. This store is run by volunteers and everyone is always kind and helpful.
Great Thrift Store!! First time there..Will Definitely be coming Back!!!
Went to this thrift store tonight 12/28 pm. A kind women helped me look around the store for an impossible find.... not only did she try sincerely to help me locate things but I very rudely answered a call while we were talking, as I was on the phone she went and located 5 items that I could not find myself and were perfect. Truly a pleasant shopping experience, and I really hate shopping..... from a middle aged male
Love this place! Some of my favorite shoes, clothing (for my daughter and myself) kids toys, and decorations are from Treasure Galore. The people are always so nice and welcoming and the prices are really great. I keep going back and you probably will too! 😊
Smells really, really awful. Had to leave 30 seconds after walking in, but didnt immediately see anything worthwhile. Mostly trinkets. Would not recommend buying clothes from there due to the smell.
I am still in sticker shock!! Incredibly OVER priced. $5-8 for a jig saw puzzle that had been used and who knows if the pieces are there. A pan and lid for $25, I just bought the same thing for $8 last week. A rolling pin for $5; usually the standard thrift price is $2. I could go on and on but those were the ones that I know of because I shop those items
I came in the store friendly as I am. The Man working walks by and I say hello. He doesnt smile back or say hello. He comes back and asks me to leave my purse behind the counter. I couldntbelieve I was just askedthat. I brought it out to my truck. This man watched me like ahawk. I am now super annoyed. The prices for these so. Called thrifty items were not so thrifty. ..thrift shop and I spendhu I lots of money usually. Ill never zho bere.
The prices were very good with a fairly large assortment of items to look through. Sadly nothing that really interested me. That said there was a lot of glassware and clothes if that is something youre looking for.
Well organized, but extremely overpriced for a thrift store.
Great place to donate clothes, housewares, lamps, etc. All proceeds support community education in School District 196. Great finds in the store too!
Wack place. Suuuper high prices. Nothing worth buying. Clothes were a joke. One mug for $7..... 🤔
Was crazy found some good stuff 90% off so Ill be going back sometime
The smell was amazing. I enjoyed the atmosphere. It eould have been cool if there was more interaction by the owner. Just conversation wise
The best truly honest prices and well-mannered people I have met it quite a while a pleasant atmosphere fun inviting something for everybody all sizes a ton of good gently used childrens toys medical supplies and HomeGoods everything seems me price like your own garage sale one of my favorite shops for resalers and anybody selling books ;-) thats the place thank you for such a great establishment in my community
They have everything. If you like to repurpose or up-cycle, this is your greatest resource.Edit: I started telling them while I was still in the store!
Very nice thrift store with great prices and friendly employees. If you like thrift stores you should try this one out.
Warning!Warning! Not kid friendly!Do not bring your child into this place!Your child will get yelled at for Bieng a child. They dislike children here!
Fun place a lot of things to see prices are great
Small store with a lot of inventory to look through. If you dont like digging through bins, tripping over things in the aisles, or are the teeniest bit claustrophobic then this store is not for you. Lots of potential in this store, but they need better displays. Most people will only look at the top layer of stuff and will get exhausted, overwhelmed, or discouraged before they start peeling back the layers.
I would like to start my review saying that I bought hundreds of dollars of glassware and vintage housewares for my vintage business and personal entertainment at this store. To the point of some of the store staff started calling me the glass lady. I have never encountered any issues and loved the friendly faces and genuine friendliness of the staff.Todays absolutely unprofessional behavior of the gentleman running the store and the awful shopping experience made me reconsider my patronage.I come to the store with my two children who get to pick a toy or two, while I shop. They are very well behaved, disciplined and polite. Today they saw an old telephone and picked up the receiver. The gentleman at the cash register told them it was a real phone and they cannot touch it. My kids are curious, and have never seen an analog landline phone before, so they asked why there was no dial tone. He snapped at them and said - go ask your mom. I made my way to the front of the store, curious of odd behavior, and witnessed the following - my son asked the gentleman if he can have a sucker from the candy dish, and was told NO.NO!?!??!I was a little surprized at the harsh responce to my 9-yo polite ask, but stood on the side observing. My son put the sucker down and started browsing the *wrapped* candy, looking what other flavors they had, when the man shrieked - Get your hands out of the candy dish, dont touch the candy (verbatim - I am writing this review as I am sitting in the car in front of the store).I jumped, it was so unexpected and rude. I put my basket with the glass I have selected down, walked up to my kids, and quietly told them - lets go guys. We walked out and will never be back. I will never recommend this store to anyone else. The following thrift stores in the area have polite and friendly employees, and excellent selection of vintage merchandise at very competitive prices.- Chaps on Cliff and Rt 13- Goodwill of Apple Valley- Savers of Apple Valley- Goodwill of Eagan- Unique of Burnsville- Salvation Army of Burnsville
Lotsa everything and its half off everything week! From the distance youll see the big letters on the building saying THRIFT
Great store with tons of cool stuff and great prices. Friendly and helpful service.
