You can always count on help going here. Great selection of nuts bolts and other hardware make this a go-to when you need that small item but their general selection is also handy and in many cases helps avoid a trip to the big box stores.Ive found if I dont need it today and can wait a couple days or weeks, that Aces product availability is pretty impressive. Ive ordered stuff from their other locations as well as special orders and been very pleased with the time to get items.

Local store that feels like the old days with great service

Much better experiences lately. I think covid caused some people to feel a bit over stressed, as I seemed to be treated a bit more hastily the first couple visits. BUT, now that everyone has had a chance to adjust, I finally get the top notch experience Ive come to expect when I spend a few extra bucks supporting the smaller businesses in my community instead of shopping at their much larger competitors just 7 minutes away. 😉

Im extremely disappointed. I went to ACE because of the reviews last spring and got the Scotts 4 steps program for our lawn and some Scotts grass seed. Between the two it was almost $400. Were down 3 bags and we have plenty of weeds and grass seed was never near to what they said it would after following ALL instructions! I called them, because Scotts sale representative said 100% money back if not satisfied. ACE just gave me their customer service phone number and washed their hands. After many weeks trying to get any help or money back from Scotts with CERO results I give up and I will never come back to an ACE store or buy any Scotts products ever again!

For a hardware store you don’t expect great customer service. But in the 15-20 minutes I was in there I had 3 people greet me and asked me what they could help me find. I had 2 of the people see my hands were getting kind of full and asked me if I wanted to hold the items at the counter while I shopped. It’s great to support local, while having them also show great customer service is not dead.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered a product online, went to pick it up, and (despite being a couple days after the delivery to store date) it wasnt there. I went back several days later when it was finally delivered to Ace to discover that only HALF of the item was there. The tray for the feeder, but not the top. When I asked the girl behind the counter to check and see if the top was also back there, she briskly replied that it wasnt her fault, corporate sent it that way. A different employee offered to fashion some type of plexi-glass top and call me later. I indicated that I would prefer they just provide me with the top and bottom of my item, and was told it would be an additional SIX days until one could be delivered to the store. Without much of a choice, I agreed. (I should note, I also never got that call about the homemade plexi-glass top he was still planning to fashion to apparently tide me over for the duration of my now two week wait for my product.) Finally, I went in to pick up the correct feeder and was handed one that was literally twice the size of the one I ordered. When I told the two employees in the store that it wasnt the one I ordered, I was told by an extremely rude male employee shouting from behind the paint counter while I was at the front of the store that it wasnt his fault, thats what corporate sent, that I should be happy because the other employee (the one that was initially going to create a make-shift plexi-glass top instead of giving me what I ordered) changed my order to try to do right by the customer, and then started pretending to bang his head on the paint counter when I told him that they probably should have asked me if I wanted one twice the size of the one I ordered before unilaterally changing my order. When I told him I didnt want to have to return a fourth time to get my feeder, he shouted that I needed to just leave it on the counter because they were returning it. I cant even with this place. I will never return. The customer service is abhorrent. Ive never seen anything like it. Thank God.

Went to this location to buy paint. The young lady isnt knowledgeable and could improve her customer service same as the younger gentleman tbe night before who was assigned in the paint section. The older gentleman in the back however was pretty helpful.

What an unpleasant experience. The cashier didn’t smile. Didn’t greet me. Didn’t respond to me saying thank you. Couldn’t tell me where a department was located. I could hear her muttering under her breath about another employee (delivery guy?). I’ve read multiple reviews about an unpleasant cashier. If it’s the same person, she needs fired. There is no excuse for that behavior when in a customer facing service role. I was excited to have a hardware store close by my new house but won’t return if it means dealing with that crabby lady.

This place has the best staff when you need help. They’re willing to walk you through and help figure out issues that you have on any project. They’re more than Willing to help you look for what you need. Some of their stuff might cost more than buying it at Walmart but I’d rather spend a little extra money and know that I’m getting the correct thing then taking a shot in the dark

The staff at this store are top notch, and the manager is cool too boot. Myself and said manager have developed a good business relationship hence enjoy shopping there since my move to Minnesota. Would recommend to those that live in the area to do business with too.

I just returned from a trip to Ace Hardware in Eagan. I am one of those people that really tries to shop locally when I am able, over some of the big box stores to try and kind of give back to the local community. I have to say that this was one of the most unpleasant interactions with a store employee that I have had at any store in my life. Now, I truly appreciate Aces great coupon offers so I brought one of these coupons to use tonight. Well, I made a small error in my attempt to use this coupon (product limitations and all that), so I had to ask the lady working the register to void one of the products I was trying to buy. At this point the lady went from nice to angry in 2.2 seconds. She started slamming her scanner, throwing stuff around, and yelled at me about how I needed to plan my transaction better next time. I had no idea the amount of stress and anxiety I was going to cause this lady with this change to my purchase. There was no one else in line or even in the store at the time, so I simply apologized to her for ruining her night with my attempt to use a coupon on this product. She did void the order and allowed me to make a separate purchase and she remembered that I was thinking about picking up some paint, but in the end I told her I didnt want to bother her any further with my purchasing needs and again apologized for making her night worse. I guess the main reason for my post is maybe to vent a little bit about how I was treated at this local business, but also maybe just to keep in mind that one crabby cashier does not represent the whole business - but I would make sure to steer clear of trying to use coupons on certain products after 7 pm on Monday nights when certain ladies are working. :)

The staff was very patient with my search for a new hex nut. Originally I was measuring the wrong size, but they didnt judge me. Great layout in the store as well. Staff was knowledgeable to know what I was looking for!

I went in knowing exactly what I wanted so I was not there long, but I was greeted and asked if I needed help. Not sure what else one could want. The store was clean, organized, and it took me a minute to find what I was looking for.

Love to give small companies business, however, your customer service needs a little improvement. The cashier was pretty snarky and seemed unhappy to be at work. Otherwise, had everything that I needed and i was in and out.

What a great hardware store! The staff can always find whatever I ask for, or immediately knows when they don’t have it. Another facet of this hidden gem is its wall of retro soda bottles. The rarest kinds of old-timey soda can be found here (this is one of the only places I know you can get real ginger beer). This is probably one of the main reasons I like Ace so much. We also go there to get worms for fishing. Will return.

The service here is really great. They are so knowledgeable I said I need this and in 8 minutes I was shown my options and was on my way out the door!

Lawn and Garden season and they only have 2 employees that now how to sharpen lawnmower blades.. A 10minute job and I have to leave it overnight and make an extra trip to the store. Here is a suggestion.. How about TRAINING other employees how to do these jobs so it wont inconvenience the customers! Sounds like common sense to me!!

Dont go here to have your keys cut. Not helpful and will not cut blanks sold from other stores even other Ace Hardware stores. Their policy is out of date and is entirely different from other Ace Hardware stores also the people have no idea what they are talking about.

Brought in a mower blade to be sharpened. It took 2 weeks for the sharpening and when I was going to install it back I noticed it was not sharpened at all.

They didnt have what I needed, but the staff was super friendly and helpful.

This grade II Markitre interior could easily be a room in the Savoy, I have been going here for 25 years even lived opposite for a while. Best AngloItalian Café in London 116 years service from one great family. The breakfast is as you would expect gargantuan to spaghetti bolognaise and Marias great Garlic chicken or just steak and kidney and 300 veg...its the best.
