I have a 2017 Ford Escape. I took my car here before and had a fairly good experience, before the pandemic, and a Dodge Avenger at the time. I recently took my Ford Escape to diagnose shaking with acceleration. They said it was my axle, and possibly my transmission if it continued after they replaced the left axle. It continued to shake the same day I got it back. I took it to another mechanic, it wasnt my transmission, my right axle needed to go too. They are nice, so I wanted to give the benefit of doubt. Which led me to see if they can fix new problems, a broken passenger headlight, and a check engine light. They had my car for 4 days, or 3 days since theyre closed on Sunday. They fixed the headlight, and not what caused the check engine light. They had my car for 3 days to do 3 hours of labor, I was charged $350 for labor, and no parts. About $115 per hour, only to fix part of the problem. Doesnt even mention a diagnosis. Its a waste of time and money. Im not going back there, but if you do, always get a second opinion. Nice people,, but I refuse to pay for incompetence. And take pictures of the car beforehand because I feel like they left some scratches.

I brought my car in at 8am they had it diagnosed and called me to informed me what was wrong with it, they were very helpful and nice! Jacob and Mike both were very helpful and I will recommend the service to others as well. Very please and satisfied with the service

Rip off artist. I gave this place more chances than they deserve and every time something was off either the prices too high or the work wasnt done right.

Had used transmission put into my car. Thought they did a good job until I drove the car for 2 hours. Turned off the car for gas and it wouldnt start for an hour. Got the car home and havent been able to drive it since. Its been to 3 shops since. All at my expense. No one will touch it....All they want is the money. Bypass them or you might be sorry. 2,650 down the drain 😪

Transmission is slipping in less than 30 days and Im being told they put it on the machine and it said all is good, they say they drove it and all is good. Yet it wont go over 15 mph. $2200 out the door. 6 month warranty but if theyre only gonna charge me for some other repairs not covered by the warranty I may as well go to some actually transmission professionals. Id never recommend them for any service. True they are nice and didnt take long to do whatever they did but my car is not fixed and Im gonna have to go somewhere else and spend more money. They wouldnt even have my car towed to their shop when I called about the car not doing pass 15 mph, told me to pay for a two. I asked them to show me proof that they purchased a transmission and was told no, they cant do that because of an unwritten policy they have. Never go to this place...the nice and pleasant customer service doesnt make up for the poor service.

TERRIBLE SERVICE DONT EVER GO HERE. I Took my car here on March 13th 2021 because my car was over heating I was told there was a problem with the head gasket. I paid 1400 dollars for them to fix it. And weeks later when I was told it was fixed the same day I picked it up it was still over heating as if they did nothing at all. I took my vehicle back up there and days later I was told I needed a whole new engine which would cost me $3300 more on top of the $1400 I already paid. From there I told them I would come get my car and bring it back when I have the money, and they told me that they had already took my engine out ( Without my permission). Now it’s April 26th 2021 and I still don’t have my car they still have not fixed my car. Not to mention this whole time they have not called once to update me on what’s going on I have to call 20+ times to get them to talk to me.

I have my own regular shop I usually go to and they couldnt quite nip problems I were having with my suspension/front end. I came to city automotive it was a bit of a wait but it was well worth it just be prepared to drop your vehicle off, but you will be glad you did! They have my car riding like brand new! And to top it off to my surprise at the end they fixed a check engine light issue I had before i even brought it to them! Thanx City Automotive

Horrible service. I dont recommend this company at all. Took it in for an repair. I got the car back and the same problem was happening. They kept giving me the run around about the issue with my car. I missed days of work because of it. Overly charged me to fix other issues that they claimed was causing the issue just a bunch of lies. I was completely tooken advantage of. Its sad to do a woman that way because u think she knows nothing. I ended up spending $400 for labor plus 150 for my battery.How Im highly upset and was left with no choice but to pay it due to me having to work. So all together I spent over $1000 thats including the $460 for my alternator and labor way too much SMH. Horrible place.

Where do I start, been going to Autocity over a decade 14 years to be exact when the quality of work was actually good now it is not the mechanics come and go. Either they are fired, quit, or go to another location. The work is never right. You go in for one thing they tell you another you get it repaired but then still have the same issue you came for in the first place. Frank is the owner and he means well. Work actually gets done when he is at the shop when he is not now that’s another story. Mike pretends to be nice but is a lying snake and so is Kamal. I don’t trust none of the employees but The owner Frank but unfortunately he does not work on the cars. Do yourself a favor and pay the dealer least it will be done right.

If you lack knowledge and cars I wouldnt come here because they will tell you anything to get your money are probably leave you with the same problems that you asked about I came here want of them to fix my antifreeze leak but it wasnt fixed. But they got $750 out of me and I didnt even notice my tire was going flat.. I can complain about them all day but long story short dont go there they suck!

Even after allowing an additional $5k to be added to my already $9k bill because I was “under quoted”, they still don’t have my truck right. I had a damaged frame with no other noticeable issues. Once I was called to pickup the truck and pay the bill, as soon as I drove onto the street the dashboard lit up with warning lights (not test driven after repairs), the vehicle even turned off at a stop light (never happened before serviced). I brought it back to them the next morning because they were closing as I picked it up. Now a week later after being told it would be ready for pick today not one phone call to give me an update on my vehicle. When I call I’m placed on hold then disconnected, call back, same thing. I will no longer do future business with a company that does not value me as client. Poor customer service, poor technical service. I recommend spending your hard earned money with a company that will at least call you even after you’ve paid them.

Would never go back went there I took my car there with a touchscreen radio inside got it back with a plastic bag inside the area where the radio was they swear they didn’t know what happened or don’t remember the radio but of course I know what I had in my car I have pics and videos of before and after I’ll never take my car back

So here is my experience with this team at Firestone on Gratiot. Called before I went in for brakes. Was quoted 220.00 out the door for front rotars and brake pads. Once they got the van up on the lift they called me out to review the caliper sticking on the passenger side. So he showed me the increase for install of the rotar. It brought the bill to 420.00 out the door. So here’s where I’d like to give my experience to whom chooses to have this place perform mechanical services. They were nice, informative and got me out the door in 1.5 hours. Yes I wish the price was lower but given parts and labor it was somewhat fare. I also had a chat with the Firestone team about their Yelp reviews which were god aweful. They acknowledge there was an issue with things back a year ago but assured me that the two running the shop #1 goal was to change the people’s perception. For you, do your research in a company if you choose to do business. Educate yourself on parts costs and how long it takes for service before you walk in the door and you should be in a better place! Given all that has gone on in the past 10 months, we all worked together to achieve positive results through getting my van fixed. I will be back in the near future and these two managers will take great care of me. Good luck people....

This business is a SCAM. Took my car there back in November 2019 was told motor was fine and I had a timing chain issue which was a $5k repair. Brought the vehicle back several times because the vehicle STILL was not right then they told me another $2k repair 2 months ago which I was about to have paid off this July 2020. Total repairs are now at $7k. Today they said we need a new motor totaling an additional $5k.

They are not trustworthy!! I took my truck to get the gasline repaired then they said my lower control arms needed to be replaced immediately. I agreed and used their credit services Acima. They charged me $2,000. Almost three years later my lower control arm and ball joint went bad. My cousin who is a licensed mechanic and I fixed it our self and discovered that lower control arm were never changed and are the original parts. They will hold your vehicle and charge you for work that hasnt been done. Do not go to this shop!!!!! Scam!!!!!

Was originally not going to leave a poor review and give the benefit of the doubt but here’s my review. I originally took my vehicle up to them for front end work and was promised to get my vehicle back same day.... we’ll that turned into Tommorow we promise then they missed that day as well and promised it would be ready first thing the next day so be there to pick it up as I’m a business owner and rescheduled all my appointments last minute once again. Then to sit there all day getting promised the world and heard every excuse in the book why it wasn’t done every hour they promised it would. About the work I’ve had nothing but issues the 6 months it’s been done and 3 grand in repairs. The top notch front end parts they promised were worth the money and Oem parts from dealership were that at all. They are all up charged China parts that they don’t warranty as promised. For example my 500 dollar hub assembly on my drive side is bad within the first six months of being repaired and call them about it and get the well take care of you and charge you full retail for the repair and every excuse why it’s bad other then it wasn’t as promised and installed properly. Not to mention there professional suspension team that realigned my front end with the steering wheel crooked so I had to pay another shop to repair that as soon as they finished because that was a we can only get it close it’s a big truck or the vacum line for the breaks that were not properly ran after the reinstalled the front end parts that I paid another shop to repair two months after they worked on my truck as well. The only thing ase certified about the shop is the sign I would highly recommend not taking your vehicle to this company!

I stopped at other shops and they either was to bagged up, or was to high, just for a oil change on a 2018 Pacific!!! I pulled in and he guaranteed me that it would be the correct oil and filter!! I paid just a little over $20.00 and the service was quick and showed customer satisfaction!! I have know problem recommending based upon the service they rendered to me!!! EXCELLENT 5~STARS

I took my 2016 Audi A3 here after an accident. They kept it for 3 weeks past the amount of time they quoted me in the beginning which was already 3 to 4 weeks. I ended up paying hundreds of extra dollars in rental car cost. I wouldnt have been so upset if they returned my car in working condition. The itemized list I received from my insurance company is a joke. They charged them thousands of dollars in repairs that werent even done. My air that worked perfectly before taking it to them no longer works at all yet they charged hundreds of dollars on the itemized list for the repairs to it. My airbag light, along with an unknown exclamation point light have been on since the day I left and they could not tell me why. The interior lights in the car come on and go off randomly as if there is wiring issues, something that was never an issue before. I am so upset they ruined a good luxury car. I wish I had never went there. Please save yourself the headache.

I come here often & the service is usually great. However I dropped my car off around 9am Tuesday. They told me my car would be ready Friday afternoon. I ended up having to wait until Saturday because of my work shift. When I get there Saturday I got there at 4 and didn’t leave until 5:40. They claimed they had to do the finishing touches, then the lied and said they were driving it to see if everything was okay, when actually they’d put my car back in the bay. When I dropped my car off I asked for an oil change they hadn’t even done that. So I also had to wait for them to do that.

Bad people the guy behind the counter was high on something couldnt speak or keep his eyes open! They had my car never worked on it for a year then put it in their storage yard and lost the keys supposably!? So I had to pay $180 for a key to be made and programmed now I need to take them to court! They are not State Certified just a bunch of con artists!

I went here because I was having issues with my heat they tell me I need a new motor. They exchanged my motor but my heat still not working and they still wanna change me more money to fix what they should of fix when I first came in. I wouldn’t recommend anybody to get they car worked on here.

I went to get my a/c looked at becuase it was not blowing cold, there was a leak in the condenser. They gave me a new one and a fair price. Only reason they did not get 5 stars is becuase it took a looonng time. Got there 930am it was done 530pm. Good quality work however if your not patient....if you dont have another vehicle or can just drop it off I wouldnt go here becuase it will take a while. Customer service is good

Work was done fine all I had was an oil change and a tire rotation it took about an hour he told me upfront approximately 10 minutes so thats my only complaint everything else was fine and I would recommend the facility to other people

This place is hands down the best mechanic shop I have ever went to. I left the chevy dealer with an estimate of $3200.00!!! to replace my engine in my equinox. Mike at Firestone not only diagnosed my car for free but they found all I needed was a timing chain kit changed. Saved me over $2000. They offered to finance my repairs through 2 loan services (which theyre only suppose to have a contract with one loan service). I got approved up to $3600. So of course like the scammers they are; they decide to make up repairs that my car didnt need and raise the prices so that they can get the whole 3600. Not only that, but the job they did was rushed and incomplete. Not to mention they kept my truck for a week 1/2; and I had to bring my truck in TWICE after it broke down on me! Ill NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. Youve been warned!

They were honest about the work that needed to be done and reasonably priced. I was approved for the 100 day interest free financing (not based on credit) which is something most repair places dont offer. Mike/Frank---you guys are life savers!!!

The folks here diagnosed a dead starter pretty quickly and also caught a couple shorted wires that contributed to the starters demise. Mike and his guys took a careful look over the whole car and even tightened a loose drain plug. The work was completed quickly, they kept me informed of progress, and the costs were fair. On top of that, they provided the tow service to the shop for free. Excellent service!

Terrible place to go, they are scammers, mike is a scammer, they overcharge you for repairs and lie to charge you more. They seem cool which there way of fooling you, and then they scam you out of your money, had to file police report on them and get a lawyer.
