Stay away from this Shop. John the Owner is a Big Liar. I came to this Shop on 6/23 to have an Engine replaced. Left a $1400 Deposit. I was very Patient, called weekly to get an update. Each time I called he would say were working on it etc, give me til next week and it will be finished.I talked to him on Aug31 and he told me it would be ready in a day or two. I went up there Sept 2 and my Van was in the back and had never been Touched. I got my money back, and moved my Vehicle. Thank God I got my money back and didnt have to take him to Court. Very Unprofessional
Great place. Owner was real honest I feel. The price was just a bit high if you ask me. But I guess you pay for a good job.
What an awesome service I turn around and drop my car off at 10 this morning and it was done by 3:30 the guys were great and John knows what hes doing he is the owner of the company. I highly recommend Eastpointe Family Auto the best price in town. And thank you very much forgetting my family car done.. well worth the price
I took my recently purchased car to them to have new plugs installed . It ran fine, it was a simple maintenance job.. when I picked up the car the check engine light is on and its clearly missing. John told me the check engine light was on because the new plugs sent power around or some vague cliche. He also stated that I needed to replace the plug wires and coils for the engine to run smoothly-like it did when I brought it to them. $385 p & l. My car ran better BEFORE they worked on it. Thats a fact. I wont speculate on why this is so, Ill let u draw your own conclusions.

10/10 experience! I recently came here to have my tansmiasion fixed. The owner took excellent care of me and made me feel very welcome. He told me a date my car would be ready and it was ready days before. I have dealt with several other auto care places in the area and this place is by far the best in the area. I highly recommend!
They’ve had my car a month. I have had to personally call every time for an update. Never had one call for an update. Owner says “If I call every customer and give them an update I would never get anything done”. Sounds like you need more staff. I am a business owner myself and would never dream of leaving my clients in the dark like they have.Claim they are waiting on a part that they told me would be in Monday. It is now Friday. The day i was told i can pick up my truck. I am leaving for a family trip TODAY and now have to rent a car because of the lack of communication at this establishment.I recommend ANYONE taking their vehicle here to get an IN WRITING estimate on when the vehicle will be completed and a promissory that a rental vehicle will be provided if they can not meet their deadline.I was promised TWO WEEKS and it has been four.AUTO MECHANIC TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE NEEDS TO STOP!!!!!!7/17 Update.... two weeks later and still no car. Still have to call daily for updates.
My husband took his truck here for a fuel pump replacement . Service was fast and price was affordable but that’s not my issue .After such a good experience, I decided to take my truck here. Now the youngest boy he said was his son had drove my car and told me it was the struts or wheel bearing . ( it wasn’t ) The father finally called me the next day and told me it was the tire arms . I dropped my car off 9:30 am Saturday, I didn’t get my car until Monday evening . I had to keep calling because I asked for an update and got nothing . It was Sunday night and my car wasn’t even put in the air ( his words not mine ) .The total price was over $400. I got my car repaired, paid cash .Not even 24 hours late while driving ( on a newly paved road not potholes ) my car skidded . The tire arm had broke which causes more damage to my car . It was leaking oil from it snapping and sliding . I called him and sent him pictures he said he would fix it but I had to get it towed to him . ( I just had a car rental (300 bucks plus my repair bill ) for 3 days and then now I have to pay for a toy and another rental . Totaling $800 in all !I ended up going to a dealership and getting a new car .I called him and told him you know don’t worry about repairing it because I got a new car . Not that I let anyone go over his work, but I got a whole new car .So I asked him ( he had already agreed to repair my car and acknowledged that it was his fault ) could I at least have my money back for the parts . The parts was $200 bucks plus . I feel he should keep labor because he did preform a service . He told me no . And that things like that just happen 🤬 I just feel like good business would be to give me some money back because after all, the tire arms broke while I was driving . So was he high or something putting them on ?? . I had to pay for a tow home that night for my car and a UBER to get home that night and I had just got my car out the shop . I mean I only think that’s fair .After this matter I didn’t take my truck back to him . It put a bad taste in my mouth . Bad labor no good business moral .
WARNING!! Beware! Taking my car to this shop has been the longest nightmare: After telling me repair would only take 2-3 days, they kept my car for almost two weeks for a transmission job. I was finally told car was ready so I immediately came to pick it up, but when it was time to pay, they told me they only take cash. I ran around looking for ATMs and came back for car. On my drive home, while at a stop sign with an incline, car rolled back while still in drive mode and hit car behind me! Car also rolled forward in reverse but when I told the shop manager John, he insisted this was normal and to just bring it back for a minor adjustment. Me, not being mechanically inclined, I brought car back and after a week, I called to check on my car. John told me that they were having trouble figuring it out. I was super worried at this point, but after 3 weeks, I was upset when I called the manager to tell him they could not continue to keep my car while they are figuring it out! Obviously they dont know what they are doing and its expensive for me to continue having to pay for a rental car while they are playing mechanic. Before I could finish voicing my frustration John hung up on me. At this point they had car 5 weeks total! So my husband paid him a visit. My husband threatened to sue and demanded money & car be returned immediately. John told him to get out and called the police on him. When police came, Johns tune was a little different and he said to pick car up at third party location as it was not running and to pick check up 5 days later. Ridiculous! I insisted car and money be returned at the same time because I was taking it straight to dealership for repair. In the meantime, they rushed to put car back together before it was time to pick it and money refund up even though we told them not to touch the car anymore. We are having car towed to dealer tomorrow to have everything checked before we drive it. I am filing a formal complaint on this company with the state and posting this outrageous unacceptable experience on social media AND telling anybody who will listen and hopefully you all will too!
This is a honestly great Shop. They are very personable and takes great care in their work. I wouldnt trust another company. Its hard to find someone to put care in your vehicle like you do. Awesome job guys.

I wish I could give negative stars horrible service! Manager/owner doesnt know a thing about cars! I took him my audi it cranks but no spark at plugs. After 2 weeks he says it needs a new starter. It doesnt crank i told him to charge the battery the starter is fine and he said he did so i went to the shop jumped the battery n it cranked over. It was still sitting in the same spot outside from the day I dropped it off didnt move at all!!! Another week n a half goes by n he says that he checked for fuel n said I still need a new starter... i told him to leave the car alone n that im picking it up hes still charging me for 2.5hrs of work at $70/hr. Then he had a horrible additude when I picked it up. DONT WAIST YOUR TIME!!!! Take it to a REAL shop!!!!
