Had some watercolors done by relative, wanted to get them framed. Brought the pieces into Prairie View, Jim spent a significant amount of time with me, providing options, and letting me get to something I liked. When I picked it up, I was so happy. Now it has been in my house for a few days and every time I walk by it is a confirmation that going to Prairie View was well worth it.
The staff at Prairie View Frames have done several projects for me that have turned out amazing. They have great ideas and spend time working with their customers to create a beautiful unique piece. They have been my preferred framers for at least two decades. Prices are reasonable.
Jim has been doing framing for me for twenty years - hes framed just about everything on my walls including vintage rock posters, a Navajo weaving, and large prints. Recently he framed some very old, fragile drawings that have been in my family over a century. He has wonderful ideas for frames and matting. I strongly recommend Prairie View Framing - I wouldnt trust anyone else with my art.
Ive had several items framed here including a very old and delicate page of an Illuminated Manuscript. In all cases, we were very pleased with the results. The owner is very patient and is a great help in picking out the perfect frame combo for your piece. He is very knowledgeable about different framing options and has a good eye for what will look nice. I had to have a piece framed for work and did a price comparison between here and Michaels and found their prices to be comparable (even with Michaels discounts). If you could have your art framed locally by a professional business owner instead of a chain store for close to the same price, why wouldnt you? The shop has lots of great art, décor and gifts too! I highly recommend this business.
Jim framed a print for me and made it look sophisticated and a little edgy at the same time. Love it even more now that he framed it.
