Theyre closing October 8, 2021. I seriously hate to see this store close. It was one of your cheaper grocery stores you could go to and shop for certain items cheaper than at your big box named grocery store chains like Walmart, Food Lion, Lowes Foods, and Kroger. I really hate to see this store closing its doors for good in a couple of more days.

Store is clean. Hubby buys steaks from there and likes them. They have a good dairy brand also.

They were out of a bit of fresh veggies.

I dont shop here i was near the Family Dollar store. Save alot was ok but it didnt have a variety of named brand stuff. I never shopped here tho.

We lost our Save-a-lot in Collinsville, Va, so had to travel to Eden, North Carolina. The people were extremely nice. We went to get steaks. They had just come in on truck. They cut us 24 steaks to our liking. Extremely nice store, best prices around, and clean. Definately worth the drive.

Update: Theyve decided to keep this location open. This location is shutting down from what I understand.

I like save a lot. Its never busy and they have great prices on their brand items! Only issue i have is they do not offer bags anymore so bring your own bags. Also the cashiers are stocking on the floor while trying to keep an eye out for customers to checkout. Shouldnt be like that. But overall will definitely be going back.

My wife and were there on a Sunday at about noon. It was pretty nice, not busy at all.When we went to check out there were several items on the conveyor and nobody around, employee or otherwise.Turns out she was outside smoking. When she returned she acted as though we had interrupted her.

My first experience with Save-a-Lot was in Mt. Jackson, VA, almost 20 yrs ago. It was a very small store but always well stocked with quality items. Especially produce, which was always fresh.The Eden store, however, pales in comparison. While the store is normally decently stocked with the standard boxed and canned items, the produce section can only be described as a wilting mess. The selection is limited but they dont even seem to carry the majority of the basics.The meats are questionable. Be cautious and check the expiration dates. This is especially true with the packaged meats. While shopping yesterday (10/12/20), I picked up several packages that were no less than 2 to 3 days from their expiration date. It took some time to find something that I was willing to use as a substitute for what I really wanted.The staff has always been kind, courteous, and helpful. You simply cannot hold the staff accountable for the mistakes of upper management.I dont recommend this store for regular shopping. Perhaps, if money is tight and youve got some time to spend reading the expiration dates and you arent too picky about what you buy, this would be a good place to shop. For regular shopping, however, Id stick to Food Lion or Wal-Mart. Or maybe even give the Latin grocery a try.

I love shopping here! They have a great selection of food at really good prices! Most foods are from not so popular name brands but they are good! The employees here are very nice and helpful too!!

I love save-a-lot,their prices are awesome!!! I get their family packs of meat and brake them down into smaller packs and freeze them. Their people are nice too.

Has some good buys, lots of their brands. Have to bring your own bags or pay for theirs and bag your own groceries. Not to easy when you have disabilities.

First time ever being there didnt really know where to find my common necessities like my soup, drinks etc But caitlynne was very helpful an took the time to help me find what I needed she was very friendly an one of the nicest people Ive ever met, not many employees will go out there way like that. The employees was so helpful....I just had my son a week ago and was by myself with my son....they helped me take my groceries out to the car and put them in my car too....I will be coming back

I can understand wanting to cut costs by not bagging the goods. You lost me when your employees throw and stack things up in the cart. I was prepared to bag my groceries. No one was in line behind me. Doubt Ill be back.

Never been in it but my son comes here to get all my meats which are much fresher and more tender then Wallyworld or Food Lion at a insanely cheap price. I am amazed at the amount of meats he brings home for 1/4 of what I spend other places. Highly suggest it for tender meats for grilling.

They dont give bags anymore which is gppd for the environment but bad for those who dont have totes.

I saved a lot of money this month by shopping their sale paper. I loaded my freezer with chicken and my refrigerator with eggs, as well as other items. The eggs were $0.65 cents per dozen. If you compare the individual prices of items store to store, this one most always has the lowest price.
